Pros: Ease of use, affordable, ability to save candidates information. Ability for other managers to use the data base directly, one click to send job out to multiple areas.

Cons: I find some recent changes very confusing - I think it was easier to use previously and I find myself getting a little lost.

Overall: I have used Applicant Pro for a few years now, and just recently it was one of the first things I added when I started my new job last year. I love the way everything is in one place. I can easily put our open position on-line, and it feeds out to the list of free job boards. I can also choose to send out to fee-based job boards with one click. All my managers can see the applicants, and all applicants are saved into the database. And the reporting (which I used for the first time last year) for Affirmative Action cuts down on hours of my time. I am a one -person department within a small bank. I do it all - and this makes my recruiting function so much simpler, faster and streamlined. With one click, I can also send the job to our state DOL, as well as our Veterans and People with Disabilities reps. Anyone who has the authority to see an applicant can make notes directly on that applicant, and rate the applicant for future. We have one position that turns over frequently (Teller) just because we have so many - and we can go right back to our notes on-line for those candidates who impressed us who we did not hire. In short, it's one of the best tools I've used in my HR career.

Recommendations to other buyers: Go back to the way it was before recent changes. I like the old fashioned cut and past of a job onto the data base. Also, when setting up users, it is confusing how the screens come up. It should just automatically come up to either the jobs or the candidates instead of having to set it up to do so.

I love the features that Applicant Pro has to offer. You really get your bang for the buck

Pros: Easy to understand, functionality, many features to pick from. I have checked many systems, none could offer what Applicant Pro does for the money. Easy to use, houses endless applications, employees can use their mobile devices to apply, parses resumes into the applications, you can design your own reports or use the standard ones they have ready with a few clicks. Opportunities are limitless. They are always adding new features at no cost. Lastly, their customer service is second to none! Immediate responses to your questions, are always willing to help in any way possible, very friendly, professional staff who know what they are doing. Absolute best anywhere.

Cons: Wish you could design something that if people out of the area or out of the country apply for the position we are recruiting for could be flagged as ineligible. Example, recruiting for a position that is onsite in the Minneapolis/St Paul areas, and we get applications from New York or Europe and Asia - these could be sent an automatic reply that they are ineligible for the position without having to manually do so.

Pros: ApplicantPro is extremely easy to use. Creating a job posting takes no time. The software gives you the ability to create templates that you can use over and over again. It also gives you the ability to create screening questions which you can setup so that if the applicant provides a certain answer they will be labeled as "disqualified" and put them on a different group. The software also allows you to create different type of users which depending on the level you assign them, they will have the ability to just view applicants all the way to create job postings. You also have the ability to text or email applicants during the application process and the system also has templates for you to use such as invitation for interviews or communication about not being selected. The software also gives you the ability to buy the option to use a variety of tests that can be given to your applicants to further help in the process of finding the ideal candidate. Overall, the software has a lot of perks that help the application process.

Cons: The only item that I struggle with is the ability to include numerous disclaimers that need to be approved/agreed by the applicant such as background, credit checks, etc.

Pros: The Assessment Testing is one of the best features, it helps find individuals whose beliefs and core values are similar to ours. In the healthcare industry we want compassionate employees and this assessment tool helps us find those caring individuals who are here for the right reasons.

Cons: Would like for it to pull in more employees when applicants stop applying. Every now and then we would hit a dry spell, wish you had Recruitment Consultants to better aid in reaching out to potential candidates.

Overall: After converting to ApplicantPRO and utilizing their Assessment testing, there was a significant difference in the applicants we were hiring. They were more professional, honest, had good work ethic, and reliable. The assessment helped weed out those who did not fit our Mission and Values. Our agency went from a turnover rate of between 65%-70% to 17%-32%, within 1 year of implementing ApplicantPRO, saving us over $100,000 a year per cost of hiring. After 2 years using ApplicantPRO almost all of our employees received numerous positive feedbacks from our clients, have been with us for longer than 9 months and continued to be exceptional employees. ApplicantPRO made a huge difference in our agency and I highly recommend them to anyone who is struggling to find the right employees.

It's a great tool, not only to track of new candidate but to sort and update working candidates.

Pros: It's a turn-key system that is user friendly enough to start using with very little training. Help is just a click away and response time is almost immediate. AppPro has made it easy to keep track of a multitude of applicants with the availability of Note-Taking which you can easily review just by hovering over "notes" without having to open the file. Another great feature is "letter templates". This feature helps to cut-down the response time. Lastly, the ability to simply archive a candidates file with a dropdown or button allows me to keep by candidate list clean.

Cons: No negatives. Most of the concerns have been addressed as AppPro is always improving their system to make the program more user friendly. In the short time I've been using AppPro, I've been amazed at the amount of positive changes made. I expect that will continue as they seem to work diligently on new ideas and improvements.

Pros: It fits our needs. It's very user-friendly. We make anywhere between 75 and 100 hires per year and it suits both my needs on the recruiting side and also the needs of the hiring managers who use it.

Cons: I sometimes wish there was more that I could do as an administrator - the ability to modify the requisition myself would've been nice, but Applicant Pro's customer team did it so quickly that it's not an issue. I also really wish there was a way to mask applicant names to the hiring managers. We live in a small place and while we do our best to ensure non-discriminatory hiring, it's really difficult when everyone knows someone who knows someone.

Overall: It's often true that you get what you pay for, but in the case of Applicant Pro, you get a great deal for a great price. Their customer service is second to none. I recently wanted to change the structure of our job requisition, which required help from their service team. They did the changes within 24 hours and also gave some great advice. Another big win for Applicant Pro!

Recommendations to other buyers: I am still astounded my the level of service we get. Applicant Pro's team is amazing!

Comments: ApplicantPro is the best applicant tracking system I have used (and I have used systems that are much more costly). I would particularly recommending it to any small to medium company, or any company that's cost-conscious. It is the perfect tool for our regional nonprofit (18 locations and about 3,000) employees.

Pros: The pricing is great and the service is amazing! Our rep Steve, as well as the support team, are phenomenal - responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. The conversion from iApplicant to ApplicantPro was virtually seamless, and whenever we have questions, they are so quick to respond with assistance. The service and support are probably better than any vendor I've ever worked with.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Pros: Now we can text and mass email applicants. Love this! It saves us so much time. When we have a job fair it's so easy to send out a message to all. Or, for our future job openings, it allows me to email those applicants and let them know we now have an opening.

Cons: I would like the option to type in a first or last name and see the names related to it in case I didn't spell it correctly. It would also be nice to have a mass text option, to text a large group of applicants, rather than only a mass email option. The younger generation seems to prefer text to email.

Overall: Not sure of all of the benefits we may have but we do have the text and email options.

Pros: This is a great product for a small budget.

-Post to job boards in one click

-Customize what access you want your hiring managers to have

Cons: None for me. For a larger company with a lot of openings it may not be enough. For anyone that hires only a few positions at a time it is great.

Comments: We chose Applicant Pro out of about 5-6 vendors. We looked for OFCCP compliance, ease of use by ourselves and our applicants, scalable, reasonable cost, and robust reporting. We have been really happy with this product! It helped us get control of our hiring process and accurately track and document our candidates. The system is OFCCP compliant which was a major concern for us. The posting process is quite good and allows you to track where you are advertising your position - and it allows for the social media posting as well. Though the system allows for the proper tracking and documentation, we can adjust how we use the system for maximum ease for our managers. The reporting is extremely robust including standard reports for EEO and reporting for the new veteran/disability requirements for government contractors. The candidate interface is very simple to use, which was another area of concern for us. The customer service is excellent - they have a chat process and they have been so responsive when I have questions - so you don't get left hanging. For a smaller government contractor this is an excellent solution - can't say enough good things about it.

Pros: Cost effective, easy to use, great reporting capability, great customer service, great posting capability.

Cons: The initial training was a little sparse but the system is very intuitive to use and very easy. I wish they had a manual instead of the topic documents in the help area. Alot of times the topic I enter into the search area on the help page has no results - usually because of the way I've asked the question. So I wind up using the chat function instead. The customer service with the Chat function is outstanding they never leave you hanging!

Cons: Unfortunately, applicants frequently submit incomplete applications but ApplicantPro has settings to be able to request complete applications from applicants.

Pros: Applicant Pro has been a great applicant tracking system (ATS) for us. It is user friendly and simple for hiring managers to go in and quickly review resumes, and it provides plenty of robust tools for our recruiting team to find the right talent. Tools such as texting candidates and built-in solutions for facilitating background tests has made thing easier for both our recruiting team and the candidates themselves.

Cons: It doesn't offer seamless onboarding integration with our HRIS (Paycom), but that hasn't proved to be a big obstacle.

Pros: I like that the support can be customized to fit my needs. They have a team dedicated to not only post open jobs at our company but they also have a team that will write the job ads for us to increase the number of qualified applicants.

Cons: They sacrifice looks for simplicity which is okay for me I guess.

Comments: Applicant Pro is easy to use. They have great customer support and are always friendly and able to help me with whatever I need. They also are always updating and finding new ways to make it easier to use. It used to take us a long time to go through applications and now it is a very small portion of what I do, which frees up my time to get other things accomplished.

Pros: The product is customizable, which is helpful to make it work the best for me. But they also have all the legal requirements already in place, which also makes my job easier.

Cons: Can't think of anything. They are always looking for ways to improve, so some of the things I didn't realize were a problem are usually made easier for us.

Recommendations to other buyers: Great product. I would recommend it because it is so easy to use, they are always looking to improve and it is customizable for our company.

Pros: The ability to post through multiple job boards at no additional cost is a huge value. I also like the interface as its pretty streamlined and easily customized. The support is also great!

Cons: Manually adding applicants is more difficult than it should be. There is no resume-parser that other software systems have that pulls text from a resume, LinkedIn profile, Etc. As a result, manual entry takes some time and isn't perfect.

Overall: I really enjoy using the job posting resources that come with ApplicantPRO.

Pros: I have used ApplicantPro for close to ten years now with two different employers. I made sure to make the switch here at my current employer to ApplicantPro as soon as I came on board. Has all the bells and whistles needed comparable to the big name brand ATS solutions at about half the cost. Great service if and when needed and very easy to use. Most impressive is they do not rest on their laurels as they constantly strive to update and improve their offerings.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that more people are not aware of the product and how great it is. They should have much more market share!

Overall: From sales to service to day to day use no complaints here. More bang for your buck than any ATS I have used.

Pros: You set your own perimeters for the type of individual you're looking for and Applicant Pro does the heavy lifting.

Cons: I can never figure out how to print the entire application. It usually prints a fraction of the job experience. Resumes print fine but not everyone uploads a resume. Also, I wish there was a way to receive an email from Applicant Pro when you've selected a candidate as "potential", and haven't changed the status to "hired", after a couple of days to remind you that you liked them. We get busy, recieve a lot of applications, and often lose the candidate we remembered liking a week prior.

Overall: Ease of use. It saves valueable time. Applicant Pro does the heavy lifting.

Pros: ApplicantPro is very easy to learn and very easy to use -- our supervisors are very happy with the ease of use.

Cons: The only thing we wish was available would be for the ability of the applicant to log in and check the status of their application.

Overall: Changed the game for us -- previously we had paper applications that had to be manually reviewed by HR and the hiring supervisors. Additionally, we have a much larger candidate pool now.

Comments: Before using ApplicantPro, our business was using solely paper applications. Not only was this a complete waste of paper, but our applicants had to come all the way out to our office to apply. After using ApplicantPro, we have streamlined our application process. It is now very easy to apply for a job with us, allowing for a larger volume of applications resulting in a bigger pool for us tho choose from. We are extremely happy with ApplicationPro and would recommend it to anyone wanting to veer away from a standard paper application.

Overall: As an HR department of one, ApplicantPro makes my job sooo much easier! ApplicantPro does so many things - from helping me create job postings and posting them to various job boards in one click to filtering and screening applicants and running reports. I went from posting our vacancies on each individual job board to posting a job in less than 5 minutes. I get notified via email when qualified candidates apply (but you can turn this feature off and just check the system periodically if you like) instead of dozens of individual applicants flooding my inbox. Then the report feature---no more excel spreadsheets--I simply select the type of report I need in ApplicantPro. ApplicantPro has been a game changer for me.

Pros: The ability to spotlight, e-mail and copy applications to other jobs. The response from technical support is always timely and helpful

Cons: Having to request administrative settings. But that happens so rarely that I can't cite an example.

Overall: Our company owns 3 resort hotels and we are always looking for applications. ApplicantPRO is the first program that we have used. We have been surprised at how we have streamlined our hiring process and inter-department communications.

Pros: It is simple and easy to use with high functionality. I highly recommend it. It's easy to understand and price is good with no contracts! It posts to several job boards from the site itself which saves so much time. It has great reporting capabilities as well. Try the 30 day free trial.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that it requires an applicant to create a username and password, or provides them one. So if you have someone who tries to apply again it will require them to login, which may not be a bad thing.

Pros: It's easy to use. Intuitive. Has most of the features I need & want. Customer Support is superlative.

Cons: I love everything about ApplicantPro except for two things:

1. They need to update their "Help" documents (which are plentiful, thorough, and useful) to match the current version of the software. Frequently, the Help doc mentions old titles and fields that can sometimes be a little confusing. Presumably, they are working on getting these updated to the recently upgraded software.

2. It's not very easy, if you have different versions of a job posting that have the same exact job title, to get an applicant who applied for one version of it into the other version of the job (sometimes there's a reason you need to close the first version of a job and open a second version of it). Applicant Pro explained to me why this is (a compliance reason), but it's still difficult, and I've had to do it a couple of times. Customer Support gave me a workaround solution, though it's still not ideal.

Overall: It helps me to easily post job ads and manage applicants.

Pros: Easy to use, provides excellent tracking info, can create reports, extensive connections to other job boards.

Cons: Some complications arise when trying to route with or through other Talent Networks....not necessarily Applicant Pro's fault....it's a complicated process with many outside hands involved.

Overall: I have used several systems in the past, but prefer Applicant Pro because it is very easy to use, the support team is quick and effective, plus friendly. They will help you muddle through some tricky situations as needed and have a wonderfully wide range of job board sources available to extend your search. It has most of the features that I want/need and you cannot beat the price. Great bang for the buck and very responsive to your needs!

Recommendations to other buyers: Best system I've found at the most affordable price. Other high end systems offer mostly the same product, but at ridiculous prices that a company like ours simply cannot afford. Finding ApplicantPro has been a blessing to us!

Pros: Easy to use. Simple to explain. Nice way to collaborate on ratings of candidates with the star system. The notes section is very helpful. Helps us keep up with government regulations on hiring.

Cons: Posting a job the first couple times is a little tricky but then it goes fast once you understand how the questions, template and post work together.

Overall: We've been using this software for two years and continue to be very impressed with the platform and the customer service team. The interface is very intuitive. There are many users within the firm and everyone is able to pick up how to use ApplicantPro with minimal instruction. The AppPro team is always improving the software. Whenever we have a problem or want to make a change, they are quick to respond, knowledgeable and professional. I don't think there's been one thing we've asked that they were not able to accommodate. This has really improved our applicant tracking process.

Overall: Working at a small organization, getting the biggest bang for your buck is very important. Applicant Pro meets that need and we don't have to sacrifice customer service. I would place their customer service up there with Disney Industries. Applicant Pro also enhances their system regularly and adds amazing features that helps the HR Department of ONE seam like a much larger department. I would recommend to any organization that wants to move their applicant tracking in to the 21st century.

Cons: Seriously, nothing. It is probably a little pricey for my size of business, but time is money to me.

Overall: Whether you are owner or HR Manager, this tool makes managing applicants easy as an easy-bake-oven. I have it setup with qualifying questions; the place to hold all the applicant info, customization to your hiring process; work ethic and cognitive aptitude testing really gives you a good feel for that applicant. Then you can schedule any drug screening, etc. This is a great one stop shop for me as a business owner. Highly recommend this!

Pros: The software is very easy to use. The ability to use templates to create job ads and also access to questionnaires templates to screen applicants decrease the amount of time it takes to post a job opening. Being able to set up email notifications with the ability to set up criteria on when and whom to send us the emails keeps all parties involved informed.

Cons: The ability to create job openings that are both internal and external is a little challenging if you are trying to have different closing dates.

Comments: We are very happy with Applicant Pro at our company. We have tried several ways to accept applications online without any major cost increase. The solutions we came up with were either difficult for the applicant to use, or didnt work with our hiring process. Switching to Applicant Pro allowed us to accept user friendly applications as well as work with our hiring process. Applicant Pro was also one of the more cost effective solutions that I researched. I would definitely reccomend them to anyone who needs a digital hiring solution.

Pros: I like that their packages are very reasonable and that they offer so much. My favorite features are the assessments they have to offer or that we can customize them and the fact that we can customize our reports.

Cons: If I had to state a con it would be that layout of the system is a bit plain and outdated but compare to the pro's that is low on the priority list.

Comments: We have been using Applicant Pro as our sole ATS for almost a year. We were struggling with ease of use, lack of customer service and overall dysfunction with our prior ATS. I met with a Applicant Pro rep at a conference and was in awe of how simple the system looked. We finally decided to move over and were excited to learn it was going to cost a fortune.

The whole system is super easy to use. Getting everything set up was a breeze. We used our CTO as a tester before we posted any live jobs, and he was more than impressed. The feedback I've gotten from hiring manager throughout the company is all very similar. They love how easy it is for them to log on and review applicants.

We had a huge issue with our prior ATS with applicants needing technical help during the application process. I would sometimes speak with 5-10 applicants a day trying to troubleshoot and walk them through the application. I have not had a single applicant contact me regarding any technical difficulties during the process.

My absolute favorite thing about Applicant Pro is there AMAZING customer service. We have been impressed from day one with their professional and friendly employees providing us with the utmost awesome help and service. I place a help ticket into the system multiple times a week with various questions. I always get a quick and correct response. If I am feeling like I'd rather speak with someone directly I always get a quick pick up and immediate answer. I don't believe I have ever, not once, been on hold with their customer service team.

I would highly recommend using Applicant Pro for your new ATS.

Comments: We did demos of 7 different AT systems and chose AppPro. We have been so happy with it. Its a great product and we are glad we made the right choice!

Pros: Its easy to use, user friendly, and has tons of features. We love the star rating system. Its so easy to just glance at the application list and see your top choices. We have a lot of people who are not very technology proficient, but they are able to sue with with no problem. The price is excellent and AppPro has the same features as the much more expensive software! I have recommended it to a number of colleagues.

Cons: My main complaint is that the help is sometimes too basic and sometimes too technical and detailed. Thats not a huge issue though.

Pros: Everything is done from one portal. Jobs are pushed out to any job board you use, templates are easy to create and save along with job questions. Very easy to use!!

Cons: There are 2 views to the software. If you go under view jobs the layout is better than under the view applicants, wish they were both combined with all features available under one layout. People who don't use the software a lot can get confused. Also, incomplete apps are in the reports section. They should be under applicants, just a different tab.

Overall: AplicantPro made my job way easier and freed up my time for other HR responsibilities.

Cons: It is just a matter of time as their product development team tries to tackle suggestions for applicant search function by location, skill set, etc.

Overall: We just finished out 30 day free trial and it is more than we expected for the low price tag it comes with. It comes with unlimited users and job postings and pricing is based on the company's size with customized features you can add on but aren't necessary to get the job done. App Pro's customer service team and availability is top notch. They make time to answer questions fully the first time and provide step-by-step instructions if needed even though the system is super user-friendly. Product Development is on their A game and constantly performing updates and improving the process with suggestions from their users.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take advantage of the free trial. Your account rep will set it up according to your recruiting process and assist you with the customization. Then pay annually as you will save 2 months in fees, but if you need to cancel they will refund the prorated amount unused.
