" June 19, 2024 5.0 Pros The prices plans are very competitively priced and the 30 day free trial is very useful. It also allows to add unlimited users and clients. Cons On the lowest priced plan only the quotes and invoices are limited to 20 per month. Multiple currencies only available for highest subscription tier. With Xero you can automate your tasks as there are so many apps that Xero can integrate with. From allocating transactions to bank recons and forecasting, we have managedto automate many of our processes thanks to the functionality and apps that integrate with Xero. Best of all, all our data is saved in the cloud and we do not have to worry about back ups. Cons I do not have any negatives with Xero. Pros We use Xero to manage our expenses. It has a simple and easy to understand dashboard and was a game changer in helping us reduce our expenses. Cons The only downside I found with this software is missing out on the local currency pricing. This was the reason we stopped using it because we had to covert the money all the time. Pros Generally a good UX; however takes getting used to if never used before. Fit for purpose otherwise; good for consolidation purposes in terms of being able to have more than one entity on it. Pros Xero are frequently updating the site and making things better. Their integrations are spot on, for example Syft is fantastic. I love the graphs and charts which really help me understanding my figures by presenting them in clear visual formats. " March 7, 2018 5.0 Save time, greater control over my business, fewer errors, save money, more visibility of overall financial health of business. Allows me to work remotely. Pros I have no bookkeeping background and was able to easily learn how to use Xero. My business partner and I can login from anywhere in the world and get an up to date picture of our finances, pay invoices, review reports, check profitability and more. Our year end process is much faster and streamlined and we feel like we have much more control over our business. We have integrated data from our POS system (Touch Bistro) using the Shogo Integration tool and allows us to track sales by category alongside costs. We have also integrated Payment Evolution with Xero so we can run payroll and make EFT payments to suppliers directly. Invoices are closed out automatically and remittance notices provided saving time, money and keeping our suppliers happy. Cons Some of the reporting features don't show the information that I need - for example the sales tax report. I also find it frustrating that I can't integrate my online banking with Xero - we use a credit union so this might be the bank's issue. Some of the navigation is not great. For example the search feature can be a little fussy and when you complete an action you don't get returned to the page you left. Review Source TP Tim P. March 8, 2019 5.0 The problem of expensive, hardware dependent, inflexible and user unfriendly accounting packages has finally been solved. No more workarounds, updates or patches to worry about just clear, intelligible and above all useful financial information any where, any time and on any device. Just brilliant. Pros Ease of use: Xero is so easy to set up, use and tailor to your own requirements that it almost stops being work and becomes fun. Even non-accountants and finance people seem to be able to grasp its simple approach to capturing, managing and reporting financial information. Cons Not much: if pushed I would have to say that the reporting functionality is a little clumsy, but only once you have a significant number of account lines to manage. Many of the "out of the box" reports still require a lot of tailoring to make them really useful, and there seems to be a curious reluctance to offer comparatives as standard which (as any accountant will tell you) are essential to interpret any financial report properly. Pros I love that Xero was designed from the ground up to be cloud-based. A number of years ago we were looking for an accounting solution which would enable our virtual team to access it. We were currently using Quickbooks, which had, at the time, very limited cloub-based capability. Xero looked great, was easy to use, and made it possible for our virtual team to work together. Cons We had to adjust some of the program for our non-profit. We had someone who was quite familiar with the program help us set it up, especially the bank feeds and integrating Receipt Bank. February 7, 2017 5.0 Xero helps all of my clients better understand their money and therefore better their business! It's also much quicker to work in than other accounting software. It's easy to add users giving CPAs access to books and the 1099 report is flawless. Xero helps by making daily, monthly, quarterly, and end of year bookkeeping quick and painless! Everyone we have moved over from QB has loved the switch. But the process of reconciling the bank account on a monthly basis is hard to do / not something they seem to promote. I'm still confused by it and haven't done that process in nearly as regularly as I should Reason for choosing Xero Cost. I was with Quickbooks, they raised their prices to a level I thouught was unjustified. Cons Although it attempts to make account keeping simple, sometimes it can over simplify and there are some accounting treatments that need to be "enabled". So you have to find your own way generally. Pros I love the ease of use and that my accountant can access my records. I can easily create a VAT report and get it submitted and paid in minutes. Project tracking is easy but could be improved. Pros Being able to download pay slips is great. Hiding annualsalary is a huge plus now. Thank you! For project tracking, adding entries is super easy on web. Cons A way to add all the time up would be great (like a time calulator) instead of many micro entries. I have a window open to add my times together. An option to keep time entries project and task would help shen adding a new one from adding one already (save and add), or automatically do it. Wish searching projects when adding was easier and searched client as well as project. Search for task would also be a great addition. A 5min interval button would help me. However, as time went on, we found little (and not so little) things that Xero couldn't do. We looked on the user forum and found thousands of exasperated feature requests to sort out the same problems.stretching back many many years with no adequate response from Xero. They seem to be more interested in marketing and hoovering up new users than improving their product. In addition, they have made sure that transitioning back out of Xero to another platform is a massive PITA, so keeping the money flowing in as dissatisfied users cannot afford to risk their business accounting on another change of accounts package. Pros Relatively cheap for the quality of user interface. Integrates with a lot of Fin Tech and payment gateways. Wish we had changed to them before we did. Accounts are now not the worst part of the month. As I know Zero will make it so much easier. Pros So easy to set up, cost is so competitive and really is to use. Our business invoicing and Vat returns have never been so easy. Cons To be honest there is anything to dislike about this product.
