It expedites the treasurer position and makes your group information more secure and easy to transition power. Make your group professional in finances and you'll feel more professional in all aspects! Pros This is an absolutely easy integration platform. Set up was a breeze and it provides a quick and easy accounting platform for a small business or non-profit. I also like that there are levels of use so you can decide what features you need. Cons It feels a little too basic and adding historical information from excel is a bit labor intensive unless you can pay them to do it. Pros the feature I did like and that's helpful the most is the "Invoice menu" its easy to run, easy to create an invoice for clients. It really add value to my business. As a non-accountant, it does its functions very well and platform is modern and easy to navigate Pros it is very user friendly and reports are handy. The bank feed feature is great (when it is working properly). It does provide Secure APIs to communicate with various CRM systems . it will also have Double-entry accounting. Cons Xero is a bit expensive and its a bit difficult to learn . Pros I love the cloud-based software and the way you are able to control who can see what and how. The reporting is just outstanding and enabled me to make some fantastic financial decisions looking from the past into the future. Cons When entering data into a box it goes off and searches a list that you have previously entered and this can take a little while to load up and then if you have a couple of near identical listings it can continue to select the wrong one. Pros Much easier to use than Quickbooks but still provides powerful accounting and bookkeeping features. Also offers more integrations than Quickbooks, which tends to wall off their software for the most part to keep you in their ecosystem. Provides a good balance of invoicing, expense tracking and accounting capabilities. Cons For some reason they still lack recurring payments on invoices, which keeps me using Freshbooks for invoicing. We have leveraged integrations with Harvest so time tracked doing consulting work can be easily invoiced in a central location and connected it to our proprietary CRM to make managing membership dues simple. Pros Xero is easy to set up and makes invoicing a snap. You can tag accounts and product lines so it's easy to track where revenue is coming from and it integrates with PayPal so you can easily collect payments. Cons I wish we could offer more than one payment solution since some of our vendors prefer to not use PayPal. I would also love it if I could send out automatic reminders when an invoice is past due. President Automotive Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Excelent Features also very reliable specially for Business of higher volume of transactions" October 23, 2018 5.0 before Xero we used Quickbooks, but it was too expensive compared to Xero, also QuickBooks we think is more for Old style business, Xero is more adapted to modern business like e-commerce stores after we subscribe with Xero. we saved a lot of time because we have a lot of fees in different transactions from PayPal, which takes a lot of time to reconcile, with Xero is almost automatic. We also like all the reports options that you have to export. You can predict pretty much everything in your business, or you can calculate all the expenses for any account in matters of 1 minute. You visualize how your business is doing for whatever period of the year you choose, also compare periods with past periods, and see how the business is growing. For anything else, it's really not all that. Cons It lacks basic functionality like a proper trial balance. It also heavily overstates the functionality in multiple areas, such as multicurrency; not so useful if you can't even post a journal in anything other than your home currency. They like to pretend that they will take feedback on board, but in actual fact they just direct you to forums then ignore you... they've recently removed the dates from the forums so that you can't see how long the angry users have been waiting for basic feature requests. I'd avoid, especially if you are a start-up, as (hopefully) you'll soon outgrow it. Well done, Kiwis. Cons A bit expensive with the monthly subscription. However, truth be told, the old desktop vendors could always find ways to force the users fork a hefty maintenance fee anyway. Freelancers or individual consultants might want to look elsewhere for cheaper options with a more appropriate number of features for their needs. Pros Xero allows us to easily have a bird's eye view on our business cash flow and management of income vs expenses. The direct integration / collaboration with our accountant gives us transparency and the ability to generate reports, tax documentation and more. Account reconciliation is nice and easy to use. Cons Some of the features are hard to find, the information architecture could be improved. More customization options for the invoice design would be a welcome addition.
