I also don't appreciate, that Xero uses the data from their customers to supply the government with info as to how the savings from reduced company taxes are used. This can work directly against businesses and is not covered in their terms and conditions. Pros easy, for small businesses. Cons too expensive, lots of short comings, company uses customer data to supply info to government, terrible customer service (just try and find a phone number on their website). Entries, billing, full accounting management with great dashboard. Has 3rd party apps with kudos on the CRM. We had an accountant and he could not believe I was self taught and never used the product before. Pros Easy to use, good value, numerous reports you can run, integrates with other programs seamlessly. I like being able to cut checks straight from the program and the ease of reconciling my account. Cons I can not think of anything I do not like. However it's a little complicated to get used to at first. Having no accounting background I found it initially quite hard to grasp, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Pros Easy to maneuver and find what you are looking for. Ability to have multiple entities linked to the one account, for example a subsidiary or management company. Cons Customer service or lack thereof. Reporting functionality is not great, you can get some add ons to Google Sheets that work but you also need to pay for those in addition. Pros I don't like accounting and the world of invoicing. Xero makes creating invoices, sending them and tracking them really easy and allows me to be on top of the work flow. Cons I wasn't too sure about the repeat function and it took me a while to get the parameters correct to set it up in the right way. I love the way your accountants are linked directly into the software making it very easy to ask questions and have issues resolved. The service is updated continuously (for example payroll and quotes are recent additions to the service), and I love the fact that everything can be done paper-free with scans and documents stored in the service. The mobile apps are a bonus and let you manage the finances of the business on the move. The support and engagement with customers is also great. Finally, it also integrates with many of our other business systems (like Quote Roller and MailChimp), streamlining our business processes. Easy billing. You can get your accounting reports and integrate it with your bank and you are able to connect your credit card. Cons It gets a bit expensive the more people you integrate with. You have to wait for +24hours to get feedback on customer support. but it's a good tool to use. It is easy to use, covers most types of invoices and reports and can automatically import transactions by linking to a large number of banks - this is a big time saver. Overall, both us and our accountants are very happy with Xero. The platform is also pretty inexpensive. Cons The platform can be difficult to get set up initially, but most are so that isn't a fault of Xero. It has a lot of great features that makes iteasy to invoice and keep track of your finances. Cons I found some of it confusing to use and am still not familiar with all the features, even though I've used it for quite a while.
