October 21, 2024 5.0 Overall is easy to use and there is not many things that you can do to break it. Pros Everything you need for financials are at your fingertips. From Reporting to daily transactions to payroll. Cons There are a few client contacts that I have trouble finding. When Updates happen it changes the way things are used, this can be a little frustrating to pivot of processes. Alternatives considered [MYOB Business](https://www.capterra.com/p/183867/MYOB-Business/) Reason for choosing Xero was where our accountant was at. and toe keep things smooth it was recommended that we use Xero. Pros As an employee, tracking my hours has been super easy to do and it's a great app that keeps all my payslips in the one area. Cons No cons as the app does everything I've needed it to do. There is no other solution available, currently. I do dislike the overall feeling of this product, but I don’t know if this dislikeness comes with cost benefits. Pros Even being really old school software–by the looks at least–it can do the things it is supposed to do. I would have quite a lot of things to discuss with their development team about the UI and UX but it delivers the basic needs. Cons USD this, USD that… I don’t know if is fully built for US markets and are these USD markings default for, or are these something related to settings but this really bugs me off. Pros We used to use MYOB but found that is much better in terms of the reporting and ease of use. Cons Inventory could be improved but it is really an accounting software so a very minor issue. It is a very flexible tool, especially for startups. You can set up a company in minutes if you know what you are doing. A nice tool overall, up to a mid sized company. Pros Easy to use, company set up is fast, can be used in many different countries, flexible, good for startups in their earliest days. Very flexible chart of accounts allows you to make any kind of setup you like. Cons Regionalization for some countries with complex VAT is not great (Portugal, Serbia). I have found it easy to use. Payroll is slightly harder to get a grasp of and holidays can be quite complicated but it works well with Making Tax digital Pros From a none accounts background, I found this easy to set up. Cons Customer Support wasn't offered by phone, Could be a challenge to new users to understand how to use, Customization is limited, pricing can get steep especially for Small businesses.
