July 3, 2025 5.0 It’s helped us minimize any delays in customer payments and has made month-end reconciliation far less stressful. Pros For day-to-day billing, bank feeds, automated reminders and customizable invoices speed-up the process. The dashboard provides an easy look at what is already paid, pending or overdue. Like many companies, they will send you a template response with whatever they think your issue is when they skim your support request. Frequently, you have to tell them to actually read your message carefully so that they realize you have an unexpected problem and don't need a useless "support article". These guys have also frequently been raising their prices constantly. Banking integrations frequently stop working. Pros Ease of reconciliation, imported transactions from integrations with other platforms (when it works). If you have many users, Xero does NOT bill by the number of users. So, costs may be relatively low for a large organization. Cons Constantly increasing prices, integrations with banks and other accounts don't always work and break fairly frequently. Customer support will frequently try and tell you that they won't help you with your request at all and to "talk to an accountant" even when you're asking them regarding how to do something with their software. If you are a smaller company, the plan pricing is quite expensive, since the minimum plan for a functional business is relatively expensive and they don't care whether you have one user or 100 - they charge the same. Salaries are all paid as expected and we can manage the business effectively because of this platform. Pros As a Director within my business, XERO gives me realtime information that allows me to manage the expectations of our shareholders using the accounting programme within XERO accounting reports. Pros Easy to use for our volunteer-run car club. The two best features for us are: Unlimited Users: This is absolutely essential. We can grant access to the committee without having to share credentials or worry about security. Bank Reconciliation: The automated bank feeds and reconciliation process makes matching hundreds of annual membership renewals easy. Pretty comprehensive functionality even at the most basic level. Our organization doesn't need as much as xero provides and we are pleased with everything that we use. The bank downloads are probably one of the best and most underrated features. Cons The UI is a tiny bit clunky--most notably the "check writing/entering" functionality comes to mind. I look forward to the new dashboard updates that are forthcoming. It takes the stress of my workload and its just so seamless. Also my accountant gets all the information from one place so it makes filling out my SA Assessment returns so much easier. Pros As a small business owner who has never used xero before, i like the features it provides. I like how you can connect your bank statements to xero which makes reconciling transactions easier. Its seamless and you dont have to manually go in and pull the transactions across. Also i love how you take a photo of your receipt and input that into xero. Cons Nothing really, I like all features. Cons The monthly usage fee is a little high but I think it is still great value for money.
