Finance Manager Civic & Social Organization Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Tracking Time Off Is Easy" May 18, 2021 4.0 Overall it has been pretty easy to use and makes tracking your time off easy. We were also able to add a link to our calendar which shows everyones time off. I would recommend this product. Pros This program is pretty easy to request time off and to track whether it's pto, sick days, special time off, etc. It's also easy to see what you've used and how many days you still need to use. Cons It glitched a couple of times and wouldn't allow me to select my time off by hours rather than day but I exited out and re-entered and it worked. I wish you could set it up to show your year by hire date rather than all years. Also, waiting for your supervisor to approve it can be an issue. Each employee had to remember and track their own days and it was based on a system of trust that they would be honest about what days they were off. TimeOut solves that issue so that there is clarity among employees and bosses about remaining PTO and vacation time. Pros It's so simple to use. Time out has a dashboard that allows you to track employees days off, remaining vacation time left and when you or an employee would like to request time off, you can set up in the system supervisors and/or bosses who will directly receive the email from the employee and approve any time off. Cons If you don't end up using time off or vacation time, you have to remember to go back to the system and go through a process to remove it as it is not done automatically. It was a game changer in terms of company visability, auditing of records, and reliability. Pros The access for all employees, the mobile app, the flexibility of the system to have multiple types of days out, and the integration with Outlook. Cons There were a couple of things that were laborious, like black out dates, etc. To override you had to change the date and add the black out days, instead of allowing an admin override. In addition, for some reason, it did not flag when employee PTO requests would put them in the red. Review Source LM Lindsay M. Pros I like the PTO tracking feature. It is really easy for people to submit requests and have managers approve them. Pros This app is great for the straight forward entry functions. It gets the Job done. Cons Here I wish there were a way on the admin side to filter and organize time out for each employee for my needs. when I pull information I have to reorganize by copying & pasting into excel then using filters there. Pros It is easy for employees to track their PTO and for supervisors to see a whole calendar regarding who is taking PTO. It's easy to get a hang of. Cons There is not a short cut to each employee. June 5, 2018 4.0 Pros I like that there are several options to select to on any given day where I need to insert a request (e.g. sick day, personal day, vacation day, work remotely, etc.). I like the high level table that shows how much time was accrued and how much time remains. Cons I think it is extremely counter intuitive that you cannot click on a day and insert a request. The first time I used this software it took me a long time to realize that I had to click in the top left corner in order to submit a request. I kept trying to double click the day on the calendar. The one complaint I have is about the approving manager's ability to view their employees' balances and time out. I have to give detailed instructions on this process and still don't have much luck with it sticking. The process of accessing information on each employee is a bit cumbersome. Cons It is counter-intuitive that I cannot click on a date on the calendar shown and enter requested time off for that day. It took a while to figure out how to make a time off request.
