Pros It is broad and offers many features such as billing, patient scheduling and appointments, referrals, medical records of all patients charts, and is set up nicely. However, learning how to use it is another issue. Cons The system does not have a help button where you can just key in a word and it gives you instructions on how to go about it. Cons They recently got sued for inaccurate medical records which I believe they have fixed thus far. Reporting is a little wonky too, but once you learn the software then it works well. Medical Practice Used the software for: ### "Too complex, refuse to give instructions, and want to charge for reinstall" August 29, 2014 1.0 Pros It has a lot of functionality that you rarely use for a solo practitioner, and if you want to use it, you will have to pay extra. And by the time you need to use it again, you will not remember how to use it, because it is not user-friendly. Cons All support techs are Indian with strong accents, so they have to repeat everything multiple times to understand them. They charge for extra services, and their support will not include helping you to reinstall a fax or a server if you happen to change the machine! They refused to give me instruction and insisted that I have to pay above and beyond what I pay for the yearly support. They will not resolve multiple problems or issues with one call; they will either charge extra or you have to make an online ticket for one problem at a time. The system is very complex, and there is no one person that knows all of its function. I was not told that they have these extra charges when I purchased the system. Review Source LH Lindsey H. I have not worried about a server backup or hardware upgrade for our production system in many, many years. We enjoy exceptional uptime and lots of cool features for everything from charge capture to population health management to HCC RAF capture. We have 17,000 web enabled patients, 5,000 of whom are logging in at least once per month. This has really helped reduce phone volume and increase continuity. Many of them are using the product on their smart phones to coordinate and understand their care. The eBO product delivers interesting, customizable, and actionable reporting. Cons As with all EHRs, they have been in rapid cycle deployment since 2008, as dictated by the federal government. This has resulted in some bugs and some delays in clinical development while the arcane and pretentious directives of the Meaningful Use program are achieved. Review Source MK Miguel K. Cons Interoperability is challenging. Since the back end is proprietary, connecting to standard interface engines is challenging. Support for FIHR, HL7 or IHE profiling (or OMOP) MUST involve the company. The company is difficult to deal with when you want to port your data using these tools. I always recommend eClinicalWorks for the low startup costs and ease of use. They have all of the implementations down to a science, and it is very easy to learn and implement. Pros It is very easy to learn, and billing administration and the billing process are both very easy and intuitive. Training is excellent. Cons I can't think of anything. The ease of using one system to schedule, confirm patients, send and receive messages is amazing. Pros I love that this system has all of the functionality that it took two of my past systems to complete. Cons The only thing that I am not fond of is when you create a new patient it forces me to put all of the subscriber information in. We normally don't do that when we are scheduling a new patient appointment. Although your admin can alter what information is required. Review Source IS Inamulhaq S. I found it very time consuming to record a note. From CC to the, there are lots of clicks. My previous systems were way better regarding this aspects. These also have clicks, but not as many. I signed for RCM cycle, the way they bill is questionable!. For me, they have not submit/or collected a single claims, but already charged my credit card for 2 months. My understanding is that they supposed to charged 2.9% of the collection each month. Customer service do respond after you submitting the ticket, but most of the time they have limited option to solve your concern. for example, I wanted to reorder a medicine with clicking the medicine/ (or a button next it), that is seen in external medication history, But they do not have that option. and also they can not customize it. I wanted to have a Blank ROS, I.e.list of Constitution/ HEENT/CVS/Lungs/Gi.....etc with out content in each system. but they said its not possible... each system has to have at least dots (...), and then click the dots....a new window open, then more clicks...and so on... While this software system may be well-liked by PCP providers it is not at all the software system to use in mental health. The system is cumbersome and ill-fitting to say the least. Why is it that software developers fail to understand that their are multiple specialties within the medical field and that many of us practice under the same roof. In addition, we would appreciate and need a medical software program that is user-friendly for all specialties. Bottom line.....unless you are a GP, this is not the medical software program for you! Save your money! Pros For my profession, not a thing. Cons Cumbersome, Expensive, Not adaptable to other medical specialties, the list goes on and on...don't forget terrible customer support! Pros Their software integration capabilities are in par with industry standards of bigger EHR vendors. Their documentation is solid and up to date, and their technical support staff was very friendly and easy to talk to.
