Office Manager Religious Institutions Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Simple time-off tracking software" December 2, 2016 4.0 TrackSmart is a fairly easy-to-use online software that allows for time-off requests and tracking time accrued. The website itself is a little slow, however, it does work well. It's easy to set up, and put in your time tracking. When an employee requests time off, the request goes immediately to their supervisor and they can also CC another person on the request (which is helpful if you have other supervisors that might need to be notified). It's simple, easy to use, a great value, and I look forward to seeing more updates in the future Pros Simple, easy setup, not expensive, automatic routing of requests to supervisor Cons The website is slow. I can't load in new time-off amounts for the next year until the next year is actually here (can't program in amounts for the current year and the following year). Even though I have set amounts in the Time-Off boxes, the system doesn't stop them from asking off for additional time (beyond the set amounts) - it's up to the supervisor to notice that. Everything is recorded and at your fingertips. The reporting is great for payroll. The employee site seems to be a bit more difficult and I find myself resending password emails occasionally. Used the software for: ### "Solid Time and Attendance System" December 2, 2016 4.0 Switched over to TrackSmart from another software. The other software was a much more involved system with many more features, most of which we did not use and the configuration process was a bear. TrackSmart, on the other hand, almost plug and play. Quickly upload the list of employees, make a few global changes and everything was up and running in no time. Plus, the price was about half what we paid for the other company. There are some areas that are somewhat confusing with admin versus personal logins for the same person and some areas where it would be good if the super admin could make changes rather than going back to a supervisor login to make the change. Cons You cannot retroactively enter bereavement leave. You cannot cancel PTO requests after they have been approved and the start date has passed. Administrator Used the software for: ### "TrackSmart Stinks" August 21, 2015 1.0 TrackSmart has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is very difficult to contact a person who can provide assistance. They do not respond to their emails either. When I finally talked to a person they told me " that the department I needed to talk to was busy and the phones automatically rolled over to their department and they would not be able to help me. They went further and took information and told me I was a priority and would be contacted that day, which never happened. I paid for a yearly subscription and 7 months later the account locked up and asked for a payment. Because of their lack of support I had to make a monthly payment so that my employees could access the schedule. TrackSmart use to be Hello Scheduling and they did provide great support. Since it was taken over by TrackSmart it stinks!! Review Source MT Mark T. I hope it is fixed soon. Real hassle, my employees can't put in requests from home. Customer Support said to download Chrome, but most of my employees and myself do not want two browsers on our devices. Pros Cost Cons Slow and does not work with Safari currently. December 2, 2016 4.0 We are a small company with only five employees but I am also the HR department along with my "regular" duties so having a way to record hours worked and track vacation time earned and used was a high priority for me A few things I would like to have updated are that employees should be able to select PTO in addition to the other reasons why they are requesting time off, because right now I have to go in and change it from Vacation to PTO every time. I would also like a better way of printing out the calendar because we post that in the break room so , everyone knows who is going to be out but there is no "print" feature which means I must use the right-mouse click print process and can only print out one month at a time. It is very easy to set up and it has significantly reduced the time spent tracking our staff's absences allowing me to focus my time elsewhere. It gives our staff an appreciation for being responsible for monitoring their leave time. It is very easy to use, and I would highly recommend it for any small business. Pros Easy to use. Other systems will build so much more into the platform than necessary, confusing employees and supervisors alike. TrackSmart keeps it simple, and add-ons are available if you need more out of your attendance tracking. I also LOVE the reports. They've come in handy more than once when someone has disputed his or her PTO balance. Plus, let's face it - as an HR manager of over 125 people, I'm not going to remember every little thing throughout the year. This gives me a great reference archive, built right into the system.
