It's taking time to get used to it and learning how to use it properly. Pros The platform is very complete! Pro managers will have a field day working with this platform since it has all the necessary features to help them keep track of the work being done throughout the team/organization. Cons Like any other software or platform, it takes time to learn how to use and get used to it. This is always a deal-breaker for me, whenever the estimated time to setup and start using a product is long I am discouraged in using it. TeamworkProjects has made my life as a project manager so much more simple. Everything (literally everything - files, links, messages, images, notes, ideas...) are all in one place; easily organized and easy to find. I use Teamwork Projects exclusively for my work base. The integrations with Chome is also a very handy feature in that I can set tasks/reminders for myself and/or send a link to a teammate without leaving the webpage I am one. Teamwork is one of the most intuitive and powerful managements systems I have used and I highly recommend it to anyone who is working. It can be used for any number of tasks and will save your whole team time and money in the end. Pros The ease of use Teamwork has created makes this software simple enough for even non-tech savvy people to quickly understand. The integration into Chrome and TeamworkChat is terrific. The fact I can get updates on my phone keeps me in the loop. I love how easy it is to move projects and/or tasks around to various people in my company. Adding sub tasks and comments is extremely useful. I could go on and on... Cons I wish the calendar feature integrated with Outlook beyond a 'read-only' ability. March 31, 2017 4.0 Threefold Systems have been using TeamWork for over two years now. We have looked at other systems such as Jira and Assana but none have come close to TW with respect to its flexibility and ease of use. Our developers and PM's find it easy to use and rarely have any issues with it. In addition the price point is just right and makes TW excellent value for money. TW allows us to apply our own project management structure where other application force you to adopt their philosophy. This is important to us as our business environment is somewhat different to a traditional software development agency. We have been impressed by TW's drive to continuously improve the application by adding new features and enhancements. Also where we have experienced problems the support from the TW team has been excellent. What would I like to see and improvement in? If there is an area I'd like to see a focus on it would be a either 1) a choice of integrations for analytics services/applications or 2) a flexible built-in visual report builder. While TW does provide some useful reports, it is probably the weakest area of the application feature wise. As an ops manager, I need to be able to go from high level statistics and drill down in to detail. Currently TW is missing that high level view of what's happening across all our projects. Pros Ease of use, value for money, flexibility. February 1, 2018 4.0 Pros It's SUPER flexible. You can get as granular as needed from tasks to comments, to messages. It has a pretty handy API as well for adding functionality that helps our unique process. Cons It can be a little slow at times. It also can be slightly cumbersome for some tasks such as creating complex task lists. There are also a few features that could be a little more fully built, such as invoicing, the CRM, and other periphery things like that. Lastly, it would be immensely helpful to have an overall project board showing all active projects in some more customizable ways. The board view is certainly nice, but we reached its limit because you can't put one project on multiple boards. Its various tools allow me to concentrate on the things that really matter, rather than trying to locate tasks or documents to obtain information. It has the flexibility to go from a small business team right up to a major enterprise. While it didn't work for me, I can see it being a trusted solution for many people and companies. Pros Teamwork Projects has thought of everything. The design of this UI is very carefully done, and they maximize the most functionality out of every inch of screen space. The layout is pleasing and easy on the eye. The interface and design are very up to date, clear and logically laid-out. The collaboration features are excellent. Cons I trialed the product extensively for a month and found it frustrating to learn - or at least to adapt for my particular use. While it is clearly a great product, the structure is somewhat rigid. If you work the way they've organized the project process, great: you'll love it. For me, I had a hard time switching back and forth between projects, and I wanted access on-screen to more elements at the same time. I also didn't feel that the product allowed me to customize my workflow the way i'd like to. It did some things really easy, but others not so much. It was nice to be able to communicate with others in the company on different teams. This software is best for short projects without many subtasks. I was using it for 9+ month projects with hundreds of tasks/subtasks and it became quite cumbersome. Pros The Gantt chart view is great, allowing to edit while in that view. Managing tasks, subtasks, and dates is easy and user-friendly. Good features for daily email reminders and reports. Cons As a project manager of multiple projects, there was no way for me to overlay projects, or view all on one calendar. This feature would make a PM's life so much better. There was no way to import an .xlsx or .csv of existing tasks/dates to start, it had to be manually moved. The export features are quite basic with little to no formatting. It always takes a lot of work on the back end before an export can be sent to a client, for example. Highly recommended. Pros You can create project templates and use them when starting a new project. It is easy to use and I never experienced any bugs or errors. It also allows you to create custom labels on each task to remind you of the required action (eg: "under review", "needs confirmation" etc). December 30, 2018 5.0 I've been using it with my team for more than 3 years now and truly can't imagine my life without it. Highly highly recommended for both small and big projects. Pros First, it's more feature heavy than you can imagine. What I like most is the way to setup, document, organise and manage projects. You can add milestones, notebooks, files, links, etc. Collaboration is amazing, it's easy to add more people, discuss the tasks through comments, track time (included in their features), and talk through messages and chat. Integrates with a number of 3rd party tools, integrates with Zapier and Integromat. Has webhooks for everything possible (I use this part so much...) It is very cost effective and can be scaled easily. Pros What I like most about using Teamwork project is the simple set up and go format. It makes it easy to bring on new team members, or if you are using it with client projects it is simple to get someone up and running in no time. Contrary to its easy nature, it is also every powerful. It has a lot of the features and functionality of other software packages like MS Project Cons Personally I like the fact that it is updated regularly with new features and functionality. However, these changes are pushed out on their schedule. It makes working with non-technical users more difficult when a feature changes, even if it is just a different look. Knowing the stages that multiple projects are on at a glance is crucial. When I started using Teamwork I had been cobbling multiple other software together to meet my needs. No one else on the team needed to see a project in this way (or at least hadn't used it in the past), but it was easy to learn and intuitive. I didn't need anyone else to get it up and running, everything just worked. Cons Sometimes the time tracking can drop off or be slow.
