It's become the norm for me and my colleagues to use teamwork.

Pros

Communication internally is made a lot more efficient through this product. You're able to integrate alerts etc... to your email. For companies who have a lot of projects that involve multiple departments, this is more than helpful.

Cons

Learning how to use most of the tool took a lot longer that I had thought.

### "The Best Project Management and Team Collaboration Software"

Excellent, highly suggest it. I know many agencies that use it, not just my own.

Pros

I love the simiplicity and straightforwardness of it all, with easy assigning of new tasks, members to a task, task reminders on phone/email, notifications, etc. I also love the task list and project list and, most of all, their free package comes with A LOT (2 projects which is more than enough for starting) and even their paid packages are very cost-effective. I've had to contact their support a couple times but they were always responsive and helped me right away.

Cons

The aggressive remarketing is annoying. I'm already a customer yet I cannot stop seeing their ads everywhere I peruse the internet. It's stalking and it's ineffective.

It is a great tool for the team, including managers. It helps us a lot to be able to make changes easily and visualize the overall state of the projects.

Pros

It helps you organize your tasks efficiently and keep track of deadlines. It makes easier for your managers to keep track on the tasks of the project, who is doing what, and how much time is being spent in each one.

Cons

The reports sometimes can be hard to read. It has several options to choose the parameters you want to include in the report, but the design of the finished report may be hard to visualize. I think this needs improvement.

Pros

Newly added feature which allows you to add sub tasks upto n level. Adding quick comments is good.

Cons

Not a cons, but some suggestions: - There is no option to import timesheet, so like no option that I can import timesheet from excel or CSV. - How can we hide name or identity of my development team and client's team to each other? - How can I mark multiple tasks as Completed together?

In relation to your timesheet import option feature request, could you send us an email to support@teamwork.com with as much detail please? There is no way to hide just the identity of developers names to the client but you can add privacy settings to projects, tasks, messages, etc. https://support.teamwork.com/projects/search?query=privacy+settings The quickest way to mark multiple tasks as complete is using a keyboard shortcut (full list of shortcuts at the link below). Hover the mouse pointer over the task and press "c" to mark as complete, if you make a mistake just press "c" again to unmark the completed task. https://support.teamwork.com/projects/efficiency/using-keyboard-shortcuts. A great task management software. TeamWork is going places and I do hope they one day invest more time and resources into time tracking and billing!

Pros

TeamWork's UI is well designed and fits the user perfectly. It's customizeable, lightning fast, and allows you to see your project listings very simply. We love this product.

Cons

The cons about TeamWork and the reason we switched from it were primarily due to the lack of ability to track/bill your time for a specific project. It's like pulling teeth trying to gain any understanding as to how much actual time was utilized.

Love it! We use the chat and task management in our every day operations

Pros

Being a manager who can see all the tasks that everyone has open and completed is extremely helpful and the fact that the tasks can be made reoccuring increases my efficiency so I can focus on more pressing matters. We also like that besides the task management it has a stand alone chat feature, one less program to have to purchase elsewhere.

Cons

The real-time updates on notebooks isn't very seemless, tends to glitch when multiple people can edit a file (not at the same time). Completed task lists can be tedious to weed thru, wish there was an bulk archive feature to only show recent completed task lists instead of all.

Great support, great online help.

Pros

Easy to use, responsive system, follows standard project methodology (projects, tasks, etc.). No funky terms like "cards" (although it has that option). Just works. Easy to track all aspects of a project and get the team involved. No need to manage a project chart constantly - the team can contribute and make their own updates.

Cons

Would be nice if it supported drag and drop or mass change to tasks quickly. For example, if the project gets pushed, it is not that easy to shift the dates on a bunch of tasks.

Cons

Some features may not be as intuitive as they should be. Per example, to copy and paste time entries on tasks are should have been easier.

### "A Robust Project Management Software for Teams & Projects"

Teamwork enabled our loose team of marketing freelancers to collaborate and operate like a cohesive company. We added all of our shared clients and projects and were able to effectively manage shared calendars, files and timelines together. It made communicating updates across our team a breeze. For our project managers, it gave them a simple daily dashboard for tracking progress, keeping track of project files and "pinging" appropriate team-mates. For our creative and production team members, it gave them a handy place to keep their assets and instructions, so they were never "missing" anything. It definitely gave our team the structure we needed to tackle complicated web- and campaign-development projects.

Pros

Teamwork has a real breadth of capability. We loved that our team members could choose to view projects in timeline, project/task, gantt and bulletin board views, depending upon the level of detail they wanted to see. It's great how assets are easily managed for easy sharing (and re-sharing) with team members, as needed. I can see how this is a robust enough platform to run a larger organization on -- and would scale well nicely for larger teams.

Cons

The interface is not completely intuitive, though if you take time to explore and run a few projects through it you're well rewarded.

Manage all my work projects. Can't live without it :)

Pros

Teamwork Projects is a software where I manage all my ongoing projects. I've been using it for over 5 years and switched from Basecamp (after getting frustrated with lack of features there). My faves about Teamwork Projects is: 1. Integration with Google Drive and Dropbox - I can link files with each project 2. Creating tasks lists with sub items 3. Time tracking, with option to mark it as Billable (which is great for ongoing projects) 4. Notebooks & Links - to keep all project material in one place

Cons

I wish the plans didn't have project limitations. It has a limit of 15 projects. For a solo freelancer the next plan is too much, but the limit of 15 projects plan often runs short. (I typically need to manage 20 ongoing projects)

Biggest benefit is time saved on projects as well as visibility in to progress on tasks across projects.

Pros

Really like the Gantt Charts feature to show project progress. It's very easy to track & assign tasks across a team. Especially useful if you're working a lot with remote teams. I like how flexible it is for dealing with different types of projects.

Cons

There's not much I don't like about Teamwork Projects. The only challenge I face is when new team members try to use Trello or Basecamp. Teamwork is just much better that these tools.

Teamwork is one of those programs that's as simple or as complex as you need it to be. At first, I mostly used it as a collection of checklists and files, and I've been gradually expanding upon the features as I refine my business processes. I love how you can turn off the features you don't use, tag everything, slice your data any which way you need to get the reports you need, and control client and team access to different features. I've had a few bugs and a bit of downtime over the past few months, but I found the staff to be candid and transparent about issues and I like that.

Pros

I like the ease-of-use, the depth of features balanced with the intuitive way of using it. I needed almost no training to get going with it.

Cons

I'd like to see the Google Drive integration built out more. One feature in particular that annoys me is that it doesn't recognize if you've already added a Gdrive file to another task, resulting in linking in the same file over and over. Some things, like turning a task list into a template, aren't intuitive and you have to dig through the menus to find out how to use them. Same goes for many template-related features... I wish it were easier to work with templates.

One of our project mamagers told me about Teamwork at first. I thought that I'd have to give it a try, since it came highly recommended by a professional. He was 100% correct! Teamwork has made my workday a pleasure as I never miss a step or a deadline anymore! Also, I have no "what should I do next" moments as I get my to do list in my inbox witout fail. I use it to track multiple projects and it remains easy to use. I had an ISO 9000 external audit last week and I showed the auditor how I schedule and plan on Teamwork. He was so impressed that he commended me and the product at the close-out meeting! I was overjoyed! Thank you for a beautiful product, jam-packed with all the right stuff AND a great blog with lots of worthwhile info as well.

Pros

It is both easy to use and comprehensive.

Cons

Maybe I just do mot know the feature, but I would like to be able to put times to my activities so that I know e.g. From 08:00-09:00 I am doing X and then from 09:00-11:15 I am doing Y. With a sound, so that I know when to stop one task and start another.

Could not run my business wihtout a project management collaboration tool. And Teamwork was the best I found at the time. It continues to serve me well 6+ years later.

Pros

It's easy to use and the on-screen nav etc is simple and tidy

Cons

a lot of functions are now only available under additional price levels, which has pushed the product to being at the expensive end of the market.

Price and Features, at the time. If I was buying now then price would probably force me to look at alternatives. But nothing I have seen recently has the same great UX.

### "we need more structure"

It will very good if we can have better structure for the below: -Better and visual task management (currently we can only enter main tasks and sub tasks are difficult to manage) -Kanban and scrum boards (+ GitHub integration for issue management) -Better messaging/conversations -Better structure/grouping for files and notebooks. My biggest problem is files being thrown to a single level and no particular structure to them. (for example: who wants to see a screenshot attached to a message within the files section which we keep major documentation.) It is very easy to get lost in files. We defiantly need a structuring for it.

### "Feature-rich project management software"

Pros

Teamwork Projects can be a team hub for managing large number of projects, distributing tasks, and creating a bird-view of progress of the team. It has a lot of features including messaging, time tracking, and risk analysis. Relatively easy to use, works both on desktop and mobile.

Cons

It might not be problem of Teamwork Projects in particular but rather a general issue with all project management software, but sometimes it is very hard to find stuff there. If your team has a lot of things going on, than finding correct project/tasklist/task can be a nightmare. Again, I am relatively sure this is more about how projects and tasks are organized, and not a problem of Teamwork Projects.

found Teamwork when the necessity for time tracking, project management and employee/client collaboration was needed at my job. I had already been using a similar system called Paymo at home for my freelance work. So I had an idea of what I needed, and knew Paymo wasn't structured very well for my use. I researched the heck outta these kind of sites, like close to 15 ones, and test drove at least 5 of them with trials. Teamwork wasn't the best, but it was only outdone by others that were ridiculously priced. There are many things I like

Teamwork provides many features to help manage your project from start to finish. The features are robust and offer flexibility along the way. It's very easy to add users, assign permissions, and assign tasks. To get started, Teamwork offers an easy way to import tasks from an Excel spreadsheet

Cons

Teamwork more pretty than functional. Teamwork claims to be a 'project management' tool, but it lacks many fundamental PM features, and it's clumsy. Areas needing improvement: - One of the most important tools for project management are gantt charts. Teamwork's gantt chart is one of the worst I've seen compared to other PM software/apps. I will try to break it down: 1. The default view for task planning should be gantt view, not task list view. It's a project with many moving parts, you should be forced to at the same time creating your task, be able to see and visualize how and when it will fit in within the rest of the project. 2. In Gantt chart view, the gantt chart needs to show start/finish dates in 2 columns on the left side beside all the tasks. So from left to right it should look like this: task, start date, finish date, gantt chart

### "The features seem endless, everything you want the system to do it does!"

Pros

The main features i like are just the simplicity of the software. Each section just delivers what you want it to do. In comparison to most other systems i have used, you can create a task with a deadline and then subtasks for the main task but the ability to add a due date is never available on other software but it is on Teamwork. The reports and daily emailed tasklist are the real winners, they help enormously so you know exactly what to do in that day, week or months ahead.

Cons

Because there is SO much functionality, getting to know the system can take a while and sometimes you can even miss out on functionality because you try sticking to the basics. The only other gripe is the pricing, its great that its unlimited users but the pricing bands for the projects means that the price jumps quite dramatically at higher project levels.

No timesheets - very hard to review & approve billable work or to monitor/correct time tracking in project work (to measure profit & loss) Time reports also frustrated our GM enough that we ended up using a clunky connection to Harvest for time tracking
