Pros I don't interact heavily with this product, but our communications team uses it to manage a LOT of projects. I appreciate the intuitive UI and experience the most. Really cool feature is being able to respond to a thread on teamwork by replying to the notification email. Cons It may be inexperience, but you have to mark your messages as read instead of them getting marked automatically. Sometimes I also missed communications in teamwork that I appeared to be tagged in. I think about it sometimes when I go to bed. And wake up. If it was a human - it would be someone really hot - with brains too. And I would fancy it a bit. We've only been using it for one month and it is a dream. Previously I used: • WorkFlowMax - but Task Management and staff allocations sucked • BaseCamp - which is basic and expensive • FreshDesk - for ticketing which is expensive • Skype - where you lose messages and can't find old conversations easily Enter TeamWork. I dropped; WFM, FreshDesk and Base Camp and saved myself about $300 per month. I know use Chat with staff and everything is in one place - I can see and search a full history of chats. I was set up in a flash. And the result is like a dream. For me the most important think is task management and collaboration. This spits in the face of Base Camp. Its miles better with a heap more functionality. You can; add multiple people to tasks. Add priorities and tags to tasks. Attach files to tasks - not just attach a file and then it's added to 'files' and not the task. BEST OF ALL - Copy and paste images into tasks just from taking a screenshot from windows snip tool. This thing is awesome. And value for money? Sensational. Pros Incredible task management and collaboration features. One place for Projects, tasks, tickets and chat. Oh and you can turn a ticket in Desk into a task in Project - this is awesome. Cons Invoicing is a let down. This is why I only gave it 4 stars for overall. Really it's worth a 5 - but invoicing is a minor pain compared to WFM. But because of all the other benefits it's a 100% happy ending. Teamwork provides us with all the functionality we need at a great price point. Cons There's not much missing here, but I'd like to see a more comprehensive time tracking solution that could be filtered by employee. Overall, it has kept us organized and informed. Pros Teamwork allows me to login any time of day and see the status of what is being done. Sometimes projects have dozens of tasks in motion at a single time, so the helpful dashboard gives a birds-eye view of timelines, players and lists for easy management. Cons Unless everyone uses teamwork in the same way, it can become cluttered and duplicative. But that is more of a process problem than the software. For instance, messages sent via email have to be re-entered as notes. In some cases, we've just defaulted to email conversation, so Teamwork doesn't adequately capture what's going on. Our problem was that everyone on our team was using the software differently and projects were getting lost simply because they weren't assigned correctly. I could see this working potentially with a project manager in place and some consistency in how projects were input, but in the end, we opted to find a more intuitive option that everyone can confidently use the same way. Pros Teamwork is feature-rich and very in-depth. In fact, many of our business partners also use Teamwork to manage their projects so, being able to share, add and integrate our projects and tasks with theirs was a major benefit for us. Cons IMO, Teamwork is like the PC to a MAC user. There is no doubt that this is a powerful tool, but the interface is way too busy and there's simply too many ways to accomplish the same task. It is great that we bring clients on so easily to be a part of the process. In our line of work keeping information and communication centralized is very important as small details can have major impacts to cost and timelines. This really has helped with any communication loss. We really would like to extract more info out of the program easier and are hopeful that is coming so that we can easily sort reports by customer for customers to give them snapshots of their projects. Pros Ease of use and ability to onboard employees and clients with very little training. It is intuitive and works well. Easy to set up new projects and timelines with templates. Cons Ability to customize reports would be great and I think that is coming but it is really needed for us to help give reports to specific clients to give them a snapshot of where the products are in the order cycle. Also, helps me a lot with my project management obligations on a daily basis. Pros You can schedule everything, from top to bottom - Client meetings, projects, tasks, milestones. Easy to choose deadlines and to create GANTT charts. Great possibility to log in the time, so you have an overview of the company's performance. Cons It is somewhat complicated to figure it all out, how to work with it. It is complex, but once you figure it out, it will become your essential tool for project management. April 22, 2020 5.0 It has been an amazing experience, Im considering investing on a plan for my own team. Pros I started using Teamwork since I started working as a freelance developer for another company. They use it to track projects and assign tasks among the team. Like with any other tool, when you first start using it it might take from a couple of hours to a couple of days to get familiar with how things work, and once you do, I guarantee it will help your businees track time. The Timer is an exceptional tool that allows you to see how much time is spent on each task and project, to know exactly how much to charge the client. Cons It hasn't been long since I started using it, and so far there is nothing I don't like, it is easy to use, has a lot of options to track and assign tasks, just great! I didn't see the product improving a lot among the time but it does not matter since it is already rich of most of the features you need for managed projects and collaborate. Pros The way in which you can create task and log hours. It is fast and simple but at the same time with a lot of degrees of freedom. I also like the feature of moving logs from one project to another, and the possibility to see the billable and not billable hours via a bar chart. The daily timesheet issues, if it can be addressed, would make the experience complete for me. Pros The ease of planning and assigning tasks as well as logging billable time makes this tool essential for our agency. We use teamwork to log billable hours, our own personal time as well as track overall hours spent on other tasks to improve our quotes, estimates and projections. Cons The daily view, unlike the 'workload' view, is not real time. This means that the page would not automatically refresh if a task has been added or removed from your day. This can sometimes mean a critical task is missed. That is the only gripe I have with the tool. Other than that, works like a charm and the host of features allow for excellent project management. January 19, 2018 3.0 Pros Teamwork allows you to scale quickly. We use it to manage roughly 200+ website and print design projects each year. Its interface with Box has been extremely useful in providing a one-stop solution for workflow management. Cons The overall design is lacking somewhat, and it doesn't have some of the bells and whistles as other competitors. But it's been a workhorse piece of software for us. I manage my association's marketing department and have projects and deadlines coming at my team from 50 different directions all the time. Teamwork makes it infinitely easier to manage everyone's needs across departments. Pros I like the multiple different ways that i can tag and organize tasks to manage projects. Cons I need additional permission settings that only allow admins to create or delete projects but still allows all users to manage people and tasks within projects. Also, the calendar function for me would be much better if it allowed me to view multi day projects on top of one another. For instance, I need to visually see how much overlap my various marketing campaigns have on a calendar. It was almost 5 years ago when I desided to move to Teamwork form another project management tool. I think Teamwork is better for companies with big and long-term projects. Pros Teamwork Projects has everything I need for my longterm projects. It has well structured interface and constantly improves its features. Easy importing feature helped me once to move my project from another patform to Teamwork in seconds. Cons Teamwork has changed its pricing policy. Pros I have so many projects that it can be hard to keep up with everything at once. I also work with lots of people in different departments, and globally, to accomplish what I am trying to get done. Having a project management system like Teamwork Projects is essential to keeping things on track, and holding people accountable. I like the ease of use that Teamwork Projects offers, everything is very intuitive and nice to look at. You can share files easily, and send people messages. You can set dates, and create checklists too (and I love a checklist!) Cons There are definitely tools that are moer powerful, or offer better features out there. February 13, 2018 5.0 The best software for organization, keeping track of tasks, getting people on the same page, and managing teams during projects. It is also cloud bases which is a huge plus and just adds to the functionality including a phone app. Pros Without this software our company is essentially herding cats and having to spend 20-30% of their time walking around, emailing, and calling each other to get on the same page with team projects. The power, functionality, and organization of Teamwork is an essential piece to any companies upcoming business that has to take on large projects or even simple small tasks throughout the work week. Cons There is almost nothing I don't like about this software because it does almost everything you could think of in functionality, organization, and management. March 21, 2022 5.0 Pros Collaboration has had a colossal effect at our office. With a developing group, Teamwork has kept every one of us coordinated and on task. I genuinely don't have the foggiest idea how we could finish everything and imparted without this apparatus. Cons Collaboration is a particularly powerful tool. With so many highlights, it very well may be difficult to keep easy to understand.
