It was great for seeing what was in progress, what is being currently completed, and what has been completed. Cons It has a bit of a learning curve and can get confusing with lots of team members. It outlines your task and you can also make sub tasks. The calendar is the best part of the app. Cons The mobile app is ok but could be better. The calendar doesn't seem to to transfer over. We used this to manage our project collaboration with the clients. Teamwork helps keeping the website and server credentials in a secure way. The good: - The Combination of lists and nested tasks makes sense and provides a flexible project structure - daily project summary emails are helpful - Gantt chart exporting is a nice bonus The bad: - the web interface is just clunky and slow to use - very few integrations (relying so heavily on Zapier just increases the cost of using the product) - severely underpowered native mobile clients - please begin using the iOS document picker so file types other than images can be uploaded - the calendar is just confusing to use Review Source Response from Teamwork.com April 5, 2017 Hi Brad, Thanks for your review. We're glad to hear that Teamwork Projects's flexibility, gantt charts, task management and project summaries are useful to your teams productivity. You'll be happy to hear that we're working on improving the dashboard at the moment. As our software is cloud based, things like speed and loading time are dependent on your internet connection. If you have a lot of tasks to load and that's putting pressure on your loading time a good tip is to collapse tasks lists. Use the +/- buttons to expand or collapse lists. I literally had to retrain my brain in order to get the best out of this software. Once I did, my project management has improved tenfold. This software has kept on on track on so many projects and easily shows in the dashboard where you are and what needs to be done. Cons The fact that my brain doesn't work the way this software works. Cons Poor integration with QuickBooks; somewhat crude interface; chat module (TeamworkChat) is separated from TeamworkProjects, that is, runs separately on the side. We can see all project statistics using the dashboard. Tasks can be assigned to the team members on the go. Cons The reports can be improved graphically. Other SaaS providers offer this. Fully customizable notifications are a highlight, as is the timer (for tracking hours spent on a task-by-task basis) Cons Won't be for every business, e.g. very small businesses, because of cost. Does take a tiny bit of getting used to because of all the features, but once you get the hang of it it's a super efficient interface. Cons The interface was confusing at times and made it difficult to find where some tasks were located. Teamwork also splits up tasks and chat which is another source of confusion. I find it really easy to be used and with a lot of features which grow day by day. I hope reporting will receive soon improvement (at that point 5 stars will be confirmed!) as task reporting is still a bit rigid. Pros Ask most project managers about delivering successful product and they'll like demand it's all about building to requirements. The pros of Teamwork Projects is the flexibility of access. The Chrome extension is really nice. It also integrates well with Google products (i.e. Gmail, docs) so I can connect globally rather than being tethered to just one machine. Cons The one con I feel needs to be addressed is the lack of quick support. Granted, support is an issue for most products. However, they could improve response time to troubleshooting requests. July 3, 2017 5.0 Easy to use project management tool. Pros Combines all the features of different software we are using or tried in the past. Has the tools hard core PMs need to track a project but ease of use that a not technical user can appreciate. The built in collaboration tools are a nice feature as is the ability to store files. Cons I can't seem to get it to calculate a task start date based on due date and estimated time required as some other PM tools do. I have to manually do the calculation.
