Pros

Lightspeed truly understands the realities of a small businesses. We’ve been with them since the implementation of the retail cloud-based system 15 years ago and it’s a great solution for us.

Cons

We’ve had some trouble with lack of negative in our inventory a few years ago, but it’s been fixed ever since.

I love it! The days of using DacEasy POS have been gone and I'm extremely satisfied with the functionality of LightSpeed POS.

Pros

Easy navigation and integrating inventory functions with select vendors.

Cons

Not much not to like about this software!

Pros

Lightspeed is a great POS system and the support team is really helpful. They do their best to accommodate your business needs.

Cons

The only downside is they dont have a payment plan so you have to pay upfront but as thier system goes, I haven't found a better one.

Pros

Lightspeed is a powerful tool that allows us to efficiently process sales, manage inventory, and run our ecommerce store.

Cons

Lightspeed's backend can be more in-depth than is needed by all businesses. Learning and implementing the functionality needed for your business can take time.

Pros

We have used the product for a number of years now. Always works, easy to use, integrated with many of our suppliers which makes processing receipts and building product information easy.

Cons

Reporting is basic but you can get what you need. It would be nice to have better reporting and visualization of information as part of the product - not an extra charge

### "Ease of generation of Reports"

Pros

I chose Lightspeed Retail POS software because apart from system to process my sales I needed an easy and quick way to review my stock levels as well as assess my sales from month to month. Lightspeed did not disappoint. I am able to easily generate reports and I’ve also been able to do away with the cost of engaging an employee to do this. The software is also very accessible for someone who is not familiar with POS plus there are ready videos to help whenever I need do something new that I hadn’t done yet.

Cons

For some reason I struggle with adding a new item while I’m making a sale. I end up showing negative stock and still have to go back and add the quantity from the inventory tab which makes me make the customer wait longer than they should. Perhaps it comes down to me not knowing how to do this properly. I’m not sure.

We have been using Lightspeed for a bit now and we find it quite helpful for our company. The customer service is always reachable and they always keep us up to date on things. That great service paired with their ecommerce capabilities have really helped us streamline and increase our online sales. Great overall experience and I would recommend to other.

We recently switched to Lightspeed from a different POS, and I can't say enough great things. They helped us seamlessly switch during December so we would be fully operational at the beginning of the new year. Any time I reach out to Customer Support, the service is wonderful, and my questions are fully answered during my call. They go over and beyond to ensure my satisfaction each and every time. We have almost 9,000 different products, and I wish we would have gone with Lightspeed two years ago when we opened. Lightspeed excels with inventory management and eCom synchronization. My vendors love the format of my purchase orders, and it is very easy to receive new inventory! I was able to train our four employees in less than an hour! If on the fence in choosing companies, you will not regret making Lightspeed your winning choice!

Pros

My inventory is finally right after being in business for two years! Doing a physical count of inventory was simple with the capabilities of running multiple inventory stations at once. Lightspeed Loyalty is seamlessly integrated! Lightspeed has amazing eCom synchronization.

Cons

I know it sounds cliche, but I don't have a least. My only area of concern, is the credit account prints as a transaction ticket instead of invoice. Once my vendor know this change, it hasn't been a problem.

Lightspeed has been very simple to learn as I go.

Pros

Inventory management is very easy to understand and handle. Integration with supplier catalogs is super slick and a breeze. Reporting is also easy to understand. Managing employees, time clock, and sales is quick and robust.

Cons

There are quite expensive add-ons for more extensive reporting. I'm sure they're fantastic, but not totally justifiable for a small business.

I wish the great LS Analytics product was more affordable. I have to download and use Excel to get some basic stats.

Pros

I own The Gun Garage LLC in Sierra Vista, AZ. I've been using Lightspeed POS for a few months now, and I have to say I'm extremely pleased. It's easy to use, VERY thorough in it's details and capabilities and the reports are extensive. My accountant loves the reports too because they are easy to understand and process the information from. I have to say though, my favorite part is the service tracking for my workorders. I sell, and also repair and lightspeed helps me track both efficiently and effectively. Oh, and having used another POS before, Lightspeed helped make the transition super easy with training and importing to help me not miss a beat as I transitioned. Customer service is very good too, if I have any questions, I just pick up the phone and call. There's always someone helpful answering.

Cons

My only real issue is reports not exporting with the totals. I end up copy and pasting the totals to my report, only takes a minute, but something I would like to see fixed. And when I told Lightspeed about it, they seemed to understand and it sounds like they will be working to fix it in the future.

### "Few things to know about LightSpeed POS"

It is very easy to use.

Pros

1\. I like the behaviour of the application as it solves many retail problems right from managing inventory to keep a track on the daily sales. 2. It provies endless integration option with any 3rd party application as WooCommerce, Shopify etc.

Cons

1\. Sometimes I feel, it is acting like a kid as it loses the track of the order or sometimes the payment confirmation memo. 2. As I mentioned that it provides endless ways to integrate with other application at the same time its is a bit challenging task to establish a connection between LightSpeed Retail and WooCommerce etc.

Pros

It is specifically designed for the automotive industry and has many great features. If you are in the automotive industry, it is definitely worth checking out. That includes auto, motorcycle, and boat. Support is awesome and they go out of their way to help when you have a problem.

Cons

Up front costs are a little high, and if you want support and upgrades, there is an ongoing cost. But it is worth it if you are in those industries.

I worked for Lightspeed prior to working for BMW or ADP Payroll. I had nothing but good experiences with the Lightspeed department. Great company with great employees.

My inventory system is in L/S Retail, which is linked to L/S Ecomm. Over the years I've become fairly adept at using the program. I like it. It makes sense to me.

Pros

Once I learned my way around the program, it makes complete sense and is very easy to use.

Cons

Sometimes I have to scratch my head for awhile to figure out got entered wrong. I know it is user problems, not L/S. There are definitely functions I would like to see improved, such as the ability to completely remove items and vendors from years past.

Pros

The software, while being feature rich, is very easy to use, and very intuitive. Will never go back to a PC based POS, cloud is the way to go. Runs very well on an iPad, which allows even more mobility. Managers at head office can view sales real time from anywhere.

Cons

Interface to push transactions from another system is incomplete, but it may not be relevant to most retailers. LIke most POS, deposits cannot be managed line by line, just for the whole transaction.

I'll admit that the first few months for me where very rough and i was ready to throw in the towel, but with the help of some great CSR at LS they helped and walked me through

Pros

I am a new business owner, so I knew little no about POS systems I was using Quickbooks but found that after a few months I needed a full POS software, and LS for me hit 8 of 10 points.

Cons

Some features which I feel should be part of the software are not and are said to be being implemented but would be nice to know what date.

Canadian and they started off on the Apple (Mac) platform of computers.

Pros

The software is easy to use and easy to teach. It covers what we need without being overwhelming. Their customer service is top notch and I honestly cannot say enough about the helpfulness of their staff.

Cons

The lack of custom reports is a bit of a let down, especially coming from Lightspeed onsite - that was a feature we used all the time. There are other quirks but all programs have things you have to get used to and once you do, business rolls along smoothly.

We recently had a budgetary conflict from when we built the budget to now with the renewal. Our rep worked with us so closely that the conflict was non-existent. There was no hassle. Unlike far too many companies, I truly felt like our rep wanted to have complete satisfaction from his/her client. That's hard to find now-adays. Thank you "M"!!!

Pros

The organization of the software is perfect for our use. Recently, we began using the Invoicing part of the software over a Google form.

Cons

I wish the reporting functions were more user friendly

I like the cloud based platform very much. I had earlier used a server based system and always had issues. This cloud based system is much better and rarely has issues with performance.

There are some features that i would change in the software but they are still able to use but with a few more steps.

Customer service is of no help. Say they will contact development team regarding your problem and nothing gets accomplished.

Pros

Its basically a glorified cash register that allows you to use a scanner and look fancy while checking people out.

Cons

They have many known bugs with the product that they are unwilling to fix. We have contacted them and on every occasion we get the run around about contacting the development team to address the issue or trying to solve it withe some sort of work around. We don't need work arounds for issues that should and do function on many other POS systems. Limited Hardware options that integrate and limited when choosing payment processors.

The only issues I have had were with printing, however tech support has been very helpful.
