What a great way to simplify your business. All sales, inventory, work orders , quotes in the cloud and accessible at any time. Being able to watch your business flows from home on the weekend is a key attraction of this software. You can do a transaction from anywhere you have a computer/tablet

Pros

I like that i have a full list of repair orders and can save invoices for future use.

Cons

It's not winboats, some things are harder to change and adjust to make things work for the company or customer.

Highly recommend

Pros

The integration with their ecomm site puts everything is one application. All the inventory is available for both in store and online, no need to manage two separate programs. Lots of reports for business analyzation and good customer service.

Cons

There are so many reports and trying to learn all the ins and outs requires time, which is not in abundance when you are running a 7 day a week business. It would be great if there were training webinars available, becauser some people, me, learn by doing, not by reading.

Lightspeed has made my life as a small business owner in the food business much easier. Their reporting is solid, their interface is very intuitive and I can update menu items within seconds. I had shopped around around systems, downloaded their demos and nothing compares to Lightspeed. And as a bonus this is a Montreal based company with EXCELLENT customer service. I will be a loyal client for life!

Highly recommend to anyone who wants simple inventory management for large volume of skews, or for anyone who has combined retail and ecomm stores.

\-Simplicity of use. -Great for managing lots of products -ecomm and retail inventory integration -quick product creation -multi matrix option

It is not a user friendly system.

Pros

There isn't much I like about the systems ease of use.

Cons

It is impossible to speak to any customer service representatives. All they do as an attempt for customer service is to send you articles to read which have nothing to do with the issue you are having.

Price, but I guess you get what you pay for. The worst customer service ever!

My company is currently in the process of transitioning to Lightspeed Loyalty and our Account Manager, has been super helpful through it all. He provided all the necessary tools to show us a thorough demonstration and was there for all the questions we had. He was great about checking in on us during our decision process and is helping us ensure we have a very smooth transition.

Ability to text customers about rewards, email marketing components, having a loyalty program that lives within our POS

I run my POS and ecom with Lightspeed, and I find the system easy to use. The support is top notch! I rarely have to wait on hold, and I get assistance right away. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I appreciate how they are constantly making improvements that help the small business run more efficiently! Thank you!

Cons

I paid for year of Lightspeed Analytics (not cheap!), but found that feature a little hard to use. It may be better for a larger company with multiple locations.

Be cautious. It looks really good and a lot of it is. But they're big and difficult to deal with once your on board.

Pros

Easy to use, access from anywhere, easy to enter items, fairly intuitive, matrix is good for setting up items with various attributes.

Cons

Reporting is very limited!!! Extras are expensive and apparently you'll need them! And the support is the worst. The worst! They'll tell u about downloading items from catalogues or uploading from excel, reality is, its not there and it'll be a ton of work. Oh and if you're buying hardware, they'll negotiate alot. Found out after. And there's no matrix reporting. So you want to see what you sold of an item or by item, can be done but not easy.

Lightspeed is simultaneously the best software out there for retail and far from being adequate. There are a ton of features they need to add that their customers have been begging to have for years. Every single time I speak to support I am submitting a new software/feature request.

Pros

This software is easy to use. Quick, clean, amazing customer service.

Cons

First, Lightspeed is by far the best system out there for retailers. While I have a stack of complaints, they're far superior to others like shopify. However, they claim to cater to small businesses but they lack basic things that we need. Examples include, but are NOT limited to: 1) The ability to mark items as lost or stolen in inventory and reports. 2) The ability to go into the opening count and see what employees counted. 3) The ability to show the original price on the tag, marked off, and the new sale price below. - they suggest you use a pen to cross off the original price and write the sale price by hand. 4) The ability to give customers credit without taking cash.

We are very satisfied with Lightspeed POS. The software helps us with our product inventory and our omnichannel sales. We also have a mobile access, which is great during our exhibitions.

Pros

I sell online for 5 years now and I have tried many different online sales platform. Lightspeed is easy to use and I can finally combine my online sales with my retail sales. Perfect for my inventory management, the software puts all of my products in one location. Great customer service too!

Cons

Not much for the moment! It would be great to be able to put an item online with a shipping of 0$ for that item only, I think they are working on it.

It is very easy to learn and straightforward. Love the ease of inventory being added and taken away. Love that it automatically adds inventory for items that are labeled at 0. This is something my current software does not do and it is very time consuming to have to change the quantity before you can process the sale.

Cons

Needs more user friendly tutorials for starting out. We had a lot of issues right at the beginning. The Gift Certificate's are very confusing.

Pros

From my first call 8 months ago every person I have spoken with has been so helpful. This may sound like an over exaggeration, but it's the honest truth. From Jason in sales to Jared as my account handler, every one has listened and helped me with a happy attitude and friendly sense of humor. Calls are answered in a timely manner and you never get the "run around" Every person knows what they are doing. I have never worked with a company so well trained and with employees that talk over the phone with a smile on their face!

Cons

On my last phone call to Lightspeed, I was thinking it would be nice to have one point of contact who knew my account...and me because I was calling with a concern about a partner company they work with. I wanted someone who knows me and knows I don't complain. Well Jared (The young man (yes I swear they are all young!)was he. You see, I have taken much longer opening than I though I would and just hadn't gotten to that point yet. So with that said, so far I haven't found anything I don't like. I am looking forward to working with Jared who not only validated my concern, but helped me with another company and my issue was handled by the end of the day.
