Comments: I think QB is doing a great job growing and we've enjoyed using their software.

Pros: The versatility and options to customize. We have used QB as an ATS, sale organizer, method of tracking jobs, contacts and internal employee information.

Cons: Could be a little more user friendly. We've been able to build so many different tools, but I wish the interface was a better.

Comments: I like the premise of QB and the ability to become what it needs to become. However, if basing my review on what I need it for, which is Project Management, Estimating and Accounting, it would take a lot of time and money to 'become' close to what is needed and some features such as Estimating, would never be able to accomplish what we need on the General Construction platform.

Pros: The ability/option to customize as needed. The ability to add other modules and manipulate the user interface.

Cons: The lack of functions needed unless customized. Unless you have an IT person on-board or handy, it is unlikely that you will get the results you want without creating other issues. We had a dedicated employee with QB experience, to work on QB build-out only and even she had difficulty creating and modifying to make the program work for several different divisions within our company, all with different needs.

Pros: I like the flexibility that Quickbase offers. We run our entire business using the tool. It has the capability to track most aspects of our business.

Cons: User functionality is less than ideal. If it is used purely as a backend database, it is fine, but using QB forms make the user experience difficult to manage.

Pros: This software will bring you and your origination into the 21st century. What is considered the "norm" are Excel files and sheets. Well with QuickBase, the software allows the user to create Apps. What these apps can do is create an entire realm of excel sheets into one application. This eliminates the need to save and send and keep track of one or many excel files. By have one application house all of your files any user can log into QuickBase and continue to works where the last person left off. No need to save and send and wait on some else to finish their part. All the data the lives inside these apps are in a "live" state and the data is shown in real time. The other good part about QuickBase is all this data can be converted into reports and charts, allowing the end user to display visual aids to meet needs.

Cons: There are a few minor cons however I will not write them as they are mainly just pet peeves of mines. I would say one con is, it will take some time for a new user of this software to start building applications. Now I am not saying this is a long process if the person is willing to learn they will learn rather quickly. QuickBase also offers what is called QuickBase University, user can join this online training course to help rapidly learn how to use this software.

Overall: A major benefit is being able to keep track of all your files in one place. Then taking that data in those files and converting it into reports and charts.

Pros: Quickbase was a functional internal ticketing system and, as a system that my company also used to store certain types of data, I never experienced particular issues with downloading said data.

Cons: The UI of Quickbase was not always the most intuitive and it didn¿t seem to have the same degree of collaborative tools such as in JIRA.

Comments: Extremely useful for grants management. We have been using the nonprofit manager application for three years and love it. We also created six other applications to track social services including afterschool care, legal advocacy and public program application assistance.

Pros: Very customizable, quick and easy search. Helpful support services. Low-cost. Can easily download information and upload information from Excel.

Cons: Wish I had more time and knew more to customize the templates with my organizations branding, but as a backend management system. This product is perfect right out of the box.

Comments: I'm looking forward to seeing how this product grows and adapts as industries change over time.

Pros: QuickBase has allowed me to merge several tasks and activities that I was used to doing manually. So much time saved! I am able to track employees hours, see itemized sales reports, and keep track of vendors and orders all in one place. The best part is that it is all cloud-based, so I can access it from anywhere.

Cons: Integration with other programs wasn't as much of a breeze as I had anticipated. Forunately, if I need help figuring anything out, I can always call customer support.

Pros: The greatest benefit we see with QuickBase is the ability to respond quickly to our business needs. The product is flexible and easy to change. Our user group also likes having a single place to go to do multiple functions.

Cons: Reporting functionalities are lacking.

Overall: We are able to utilize the QuickBase application for a magnitude of different functions, most frequent use revolves around Project Management. QuickBase allows for non - programmers to develop their own apps with ease. Very cost effective from an IT resource prospective.

Pros: Ease of use, customization, access anywhere - customize reports!

Cons: Not very pretty to look at, but that's not really a big deal.

Overall: We manage a large apartment community (2,500 beds+) and we record all of our pre-leasing each year into a massive database we created in Quickbase.
The reporting is excellent, we can customize everything so we can continuously grow our operation year-to-year to focus on the metrics that matter to us. It allows us to have our dozen agents and 3 managers, access and update the database from anywhere, in real time.

We are a large Fuel provider and have started utilizing Quickbase applications for purchase orders, fleet management, parts returned, functions tremendously saves, etc. It has unified processes within the company that were never able to stick before. Data is retrievable quickly for instant answers. We learn from it every day and it has functions tremendously. Easy to use to develop apps for simple tasks or complex customer databases. Comments: We have struggled to find the right software for our company to track all the things we need, so when we tried the trial of Quickbase, we were excited to see how our complicated spreadsheets could become a fantastic tracking system for our company. The database has now provided tools that have saved us countless hours of updating spreadsheets and in some cases, losing deals because of lack of organization and timely processing of information. We are able to manipulate our apps in QuickBase to fit exactly what we need, and the system can grow with our company as we grow. This has probably been the best investment we've made this year.

Comments: I trailed this software a few months back and at first was impressed by the features it was capable of. After diving in and getting to know the system and how it worked, it felt clunky and unorganized. This could just be my personal preference on how I would like a program to look and function though. So my advice would be to go through a trial, get to know the system in and out, and make a decision. It may be a great fit for other people, just not for me and what I was trying to accomplish.

Pros: This software is extremely customizable with tons of different apps to tailor the system to your business needs.

Cons: Sometimes the interface isn't entirely user friendly and I have to scroll through things I don't need to finally get to what I was looking for. Also, I don't see anything to set reminders to follow up on tasks. Perhaps it's there but my office is in charge of adding apps.

Pros: I love the product itself, but QB customer service is absolutely the best support I've ever dealt with. The customer service perspective is excellent (fast responses, etc), but it's rare to see CS with such a detailed knowledge of their own product. They know QB back and forth. I love dealing with them and they have helped me extensively building my apps.

Cons: Despite my rave reviews of their customer service, the actual CS portal is not good. Also, there isn't much in the way of training with QB. I had to learn everything on me own, either reading the manual, bothering CS with 1000 questions, or using the community page. I would love to have had some "classroom" style training.

Recommendations to other buyers: Learn Javascript!!! I now know that I could have built so much more power into my apps if I knew Javascript. Also, if you have web development skills, you will also be able to build fantastic apps.

Pros: With the ability to "relate" records within this application, you have the ability to track information in a multitude of ways. You can track information simply based on Customer, Staff, Product, etc what ever your needs.

Cons: With an out of the box application, it is not simple to complete every "dig down" into data that is feasible. With the data being so readily available, parsing it more simply to meet my needs would be more beneficial that the Out of the Box does not inherently support.

Recommendations to other buyers: Compare what it will cost you for a programmer to build the App you want, Evaluate how much the Out of the Box App can do for you today, and finally what will it cost to pay for someone to support you to learn or build what it is that is missing from the Out of the Box application.

Pros: There is so much I love about this product. Email notifications, customized databases, forms, rules, formulas etc. Using QuickBase has saved our department alot of money. We've built a lot of tools in-house instead of vetting and investing in additional vendors. If you have a technical mindset you can build anything with QuickBase. You can build experiences for your users that don't require alot of QB knowledge. We use it for lead retrieval, customer segmentation, CRM, marketing campaign management and much more. QB has regular release dates, always bringing out new features, which is good.

Cons: The fact that anyone can create an application. We have many abandoned applications, however with some planning and rules put in place this is an easy solve. We also like it for project management, however have found to use other collaboration tools that allow to do things more quickly such as leaving a comment, checking things off as done as well as some file version control. all things doable in QB, however we had some issues with the team doing the admin work of updating. Using a different tool, then tying it to QB is the solve that worked for us

Recommendations to other buyers: The devil is always in the details. If you can get a demo of software, go for it. Build something in it. I normally ask to extend my demo to 30 days, allowing for some training time.

Take those needs and then look at your alternatives with regard to cost, ease of use, ability to control who sees what, who can modify, etc.

Pros: Quickbase has many features that can be customized to fit your business needs. Not only is quickbase simple to use and learn, but there are also very advanced functions that can help design your applications exactly the way you want them. Intuit in the past has helped exponentially with customer support, tutorials, and other learning tools.

Cons: The information and tutorials about quickbase are not widely spread. For example, YouTube classes on quickbase functions or advanced tools are not available. This is most likely due to the exclusive nature of QuickBase.

Recommendations to other buyers: Consider exactly what you are trying to do, and speak with a representative from quickbase to see how quickbase can help you achieive your goals.

Pros: Ease of use and it is owned by a reputable company.

Cons: If we had not been early users we would not be able to afford using this in the current way that we do. We are limited to how many users we will allow because of the cost. This could be a great tool if there was a way to add unlimited viewers with the permission to create their own significant charts and reports.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look at the big picture. Every couple years I do a search for on-line databases to still make sure we are able to do everything we need, for a descent price, and have the security level we have come to trust, but also making sure they continue to provide positive changes and updates to the applications.

Pros: QuickBase is a wonderful PaaS platform that offers ease in building small and medium sized projects/automation. It was very instrumental in meeting Accenture¿s base requirements for automation at a low cost, easy-to-use, easily configured, customizable and flexible relational database. Highly reliable platform (multi-data center). Easily integrates with any system. Best part is it's multi-domain potential

Cons: The product needs improvement on the performance side especially when the data tends to grow more than 2000 records in a table. It's high time for them to build a multi-select drop down, more flexible and adjustable UI with support for more colors, schemes and themes.

Recommendations to other buyers: There is high potential in this product. We compared our needs against Salesforce, Broadwalk Tech, SharePoint, Tableau, .Net. And the platform seemed stronger in more than 1 area against each platform. Be it areas like Hosting, Self Service, Security, Scalability or Time to Market, QuickBase stood out in one or more areas against all these platforms.

Pros: There is an extensive body of knowledge made available by QuickBase and the QuickBase community to draw from. What you don't know is readily available in common sense language rather than buried in a technical manual.

Cons: It's trivial but it would be nice to have more control over the UI. For example, I would like to use the "getting started" feature but customized for our end user.

Recommendations to other buyers: 1) See how easy it is to start an application. 2) Read what users are saying in community posts 3) Compare apples to apples - I think you'll find that QuickBase gives you the greatest bang for your buck.

Pros: Quickbase lets me create relational databases that are flexible to the demands of our clients, easy to teach to others, but very rewarding to those who master it.

Cons: While they are catching up with future releases, there are constant demands from our customers for more cosmetic options for Reports & Graphs (choosing to hide sub-totals/totals, column shading, more control over what people see when they drill down from reports).

Recommendations to other buyers: Two ways. First, start with one of the many free templates of pre-made apps in the Quickbase Exchange and get a peek of how other developers make front-facing dashboards, or structure their relationships. Second, try making your own application from a spreadsheet that you want to turn into a proper database, and start building outward from there.

Pros: QuickBase allows you to customized the product to meet the needs of your business. As we continue to grow and evolve as a company it allows us to adapt to the changing needs of the company.

Cons: No access to track changes and view which users made the changes.

Recommendations to other buyers: You do not need to be a programmer to be able to customize this product. QuickBase makes it easy for a novice to learn the application and they provide both on-demand and web-based training sessions to help you along the way.

Pros: It solves all the issues we had with excel while also providing cloud interface capabilities.

Cons: It has taken us quite some time to get it implemented because we have been doing everything in house.

Recommendations to other buyers: Get your ducks in a row about your own workflows. This has been a big deal for us in our development and it would have been nice to be able to develop to our workflows instead of trying to figure out our workflows as part of developing our product then fixing things we built wrong.

Pros: The ease of use in the no/low code space is critical -- and it couldn't be easier than Quickbase! The other advantage is the support from the vendor and, more importantly, the community of users. The App Exchange is a great resource!

Cons: Intuit has announced it plans to sell Quickbase, which seems like a cause for concern...

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't forget to consider the free support provided by the vendor -- it couldn't be more important!

Pros: It's super flexible - lots of 'get you started' simple things. intuit is providing more training about how to solve basic problems leading to more complex problems. great online support tools, a nice community for extra solutions it's really fast, and has great uptime can set it up to be super secure, and still let 'anyone' use parts without violating secure area flexible with a fair amount of customization

Cons: it's a little pricey if you only use the toolset to solve a single issue. we have 7 different systems now that tie into each other, and that's made the $$ work out much better. you can't always get things to visually look the way you want to

Recommendations to other buyers: - Make sure you're got a little time built into your startup schedule. if you're never made a tool for others to use, you're probably going to need more ramp-up time and round of edits than you care to admit - bring your other tech skill sets with you. if you've got a little HTML or Photoshop skill, it makes a huge difference in what

Pros: I have found from using Intuit QuickBase that it allows for very custom, time-consuming business processes to be transformed into a simple "app" or database without any coding. The interface is quite intuitive and I attribute our successful user adoption to it. The interface looks more like a web application and less like a DIY database. If you have a technical background, QuickBase also provides code pages for even further customization of the functions and interface. The new Sync functionality is helpful for moving data between clouds (Salesforce, QuickBooks, etc.) into QuickBase and between apps in QuickBase.

Cons: The mobile site could be improved with a more consistent experience for users.

Recommendations to other buyers: Sign up for the 30 day free trial and start clicking around. You will be amazed at how intuitive the process is for building your apps.

Pros: The most useful feature of QuickBase is it's Bulk import feature. While comparing this product with others that we reviewed for implementation, this one feature stood out among others. The ease with which bulk import works especially the copy excel to clipboard feature has given enough flexibility to end users & clients. Another feature which has very pleasantly come across is the customizations feature where complex algorithms & reports can be built using JQuery & JavaScript yet amalgamates really well with its out of box components.

Cons: 1. Need better automated performance management across sites. 2. QuickBase lacks multi-lingual support which is highly required. 3. Multi-select dropdown is a must-have. 4. Licensing cost compared to other vendors is high

Recommendations to other buyers: We've been able to add productivity in our learning processes, Reduce total FTE percentage. Streamlined workflow processes at a low cost to serve also keeps our clients happy. Since the product is not domain specific, we've been able to utilize this product into various domains and processes.

Pros: QuickBase is the most user friendly application building platform that I have used. It empowers the non-IT users to be able to build and deploy solutions on their own. The product scales to organizations of all sizes, as they have pricing that works no matter the size of your organization. All changes are in real time or in a sandbox if you prefer. They have even built a dynamic connector that minimizes the process to connect to other external web based databases (e.g. Salesforce).

Cons: There are a few current limitations such as the ability to easily support eastern characters. However, they seem committed to listening to user feedback and building regular enhancements into their product road map.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure to tryout and demo the software. It will give you the chance to see how easy it is to learn, and how much value it can add to your company.

Pros: Quickbase allows me to create a database application without all the backend work necessary when coding from scratch. The hard part with database setup is done for you. There are plenty of prebuilt templates to customize to fit our needs.

Cons: No phone support. Not enough affordable training available. I dont really know what all is ultimately possible with Quickbase. "Everything" is too general of a statement.

Recommendations to other buyers: The best way to learn it is to try it. There is so much it can do it just takes time to customize it to fit your needs.

Pros: I have been using QB for a little over 3 years and have deployed numerous 'apps' to facilitate tons of business processes. I like QB for it's ability to allow users to do virtually anything they want within the realm of fields, form-based rules and formulas

Cons: The lack of guidance, or support around creating calculated formulas within fields, as well as the lack of integration to email applications.

Recommendations to other buyers: QB will definitely get most any job completed, however there won't be any bells & whistles along the way.

Pros: Think a simple version of microsoft access, with the ability to harness the powerful abilities of the web, using Javascript, and jQuery.

Cons: Alignment is justified left, which can leave nasty large white spaces and native scripting support is low.

Recommendations to other buyers: Finding a web developer is usually better than finding a quickbase "expert" as it seems most of the experts know very little of QuickBase.

Pros: What I love most about QuickBase is the versatility and mouldability to meet my needs and future needs. QuickBase and be altered to meet the needs of any users. Its is easy enough to use, if you are not a seasoned app creator, QB Staff are more than happy to help tailor QB to your needs.

Cons: I cannot think of a single thing I do not like. I mean to say the QB customer service will bend over back wards to help you, that can be kind of a drag.. :p QuickBase is your one stop shop for everything you need to be succesful. You need to try QuickBase to really understand and see what it can do for you.

Recommendations to other buyers: This will allow you team to collaborate more effectively. QuickBase can also be a great resource for you customers. Try it and you will see. Never have a been so excited about a company.

Pros: The QuickBase platform is easy to use and modify to meet our business needs. The support team is very responsive on the rare occasions that we need to contact them.

Cons: To me, the biggest drawback is some of the consolidated reporting capabilities. Recently, some newer reporting features have been released and I am not sure if they will meet our specific needs or not just yet.
