### "A game changer for a growing company, easy to use for app-resistant staff"

It's alot to implement up front but it's worth it because out communication and awareness of spending in the company has improved majorly. With this app, we are finally able to justify hiring a full time heavy truck mechanic.

Pros

has been extremely easy to learn and implement. The learning curve was honestly minimal for our team. Everything is laid out in a way that makes sense, and even our truck drivers picked it up quickly without needing constant help. We really appreciate how strong the maintenance and inspections features are. Our mechanics are hesitant about apps, but they are right into it. For a company running trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, having everything organized in one place feels like a lifesaver, especially since we were flying blind before. Security-wise, we have never had a concern, the system feels stable, safe, and professional. Overall, the value for money is solid. It does exactly what it says it does and saves us all time.

Cons

Nothing major. We’ve run into a couple very small bugs and issues here and there, but nothing that slowed us down or made the software unusable. They were more small quirks than real problems, and they get sorted quickly. You just had to restart the app or the phone.

Arbostar just wasn't a smooth experience. Jobber doesn't have enough features. is nice because it specializes in fleet management and inventory.

It is much easier to track maintenance, inspections, fuel, and vehicle health in one place. The dashboard also make it very easy to see certain aspects of your fleet and is very easy to stay on top of things because of the daily reminders.

Pros

What I liked the most about was the automated maintenance reminders, service history tracking, and integration with shops. It helps fleets reduce downtime and stay compliant. Also the reporting side of Fleetio is very helpful and gives important analytics.

Cons

Some workflows seem locked in and are nit fully customizable where you can make the report to your personal liking. Also some of Fleetios inventory is too basic for high volume

Training and implemenation was helpful. I have not had any customer support since we fully integrated everything.

Pros

I like the integration of maintenance records. You can upload a receipt, and it automatically inputs the information.

Cons

At times, company vehicles somehow get removed from the inspection lists. It is difficult to add new vehicles to the inspection lists.

has been great. They have great customer support so when there is a problem someone is taking care of it.

Pros

Invoices run through them and great customer support. The invoicing is something only they provide and no one else.

Cons

Getting everything setup was time consuming, but not really a con. It was took time to get all the information into it to be able to start using it.

Great. It definitely took about a year to really hone it in on our needs and get the system tricked out, but then for a couple years it was GREAT! The benefits it gave us were not imagined. We would not go back to a day without . This last upgrade has messed us up pretty good, but we'll figure it out.

Pros

General overall organization of Fleet information. We have one place where multiple teams/people can look at a wide variety of things. Our maintenance guys can look at maintenance reports and planning, shop info, invoices, and cost reports. Drivers can do monthly inspections, report issues, review maintenance issues, and send requests. The Admin team can maintain DMV records, smog certs, insurance, etc., and use data to determine End of Life issues and new truck purchases. We can manage our overall operational budgets, fuel and service costs, and manage high use vehicles. Overall a game changer to our Fleet Management system.

Cons

Often times update / upgrades do not make things better. They just make developers and sales folks feel happy that they got to change the UI. The new UI with everything sandwiched together is annoying. Every time there is an update it costs us with the down time to relearn and doesn't really add any benefits to us. Our drivers get frustrated and our mechanic team loses momentum. With guys like this, these kinds of changes really break our system. The frustration causes them not to use the software, and for us to have to do training and get buy-in over again. You need to keep things stable. Add but don't change. This is with all software though.

Overall, our experience with has been a positive one. The platform has done a solid job of centralizing our fleet management operations, replacing what used to be a fragmented mix of spreadsheets and manual processes. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the ability to access vehicle records, maintenance history, service reminders, and inspection data all in one place has made a noticeable difference in our day-to-day efficiency. The one area where we've run into difficulty is the telematics integration with our GPS provider, which has not consistently synced data the way it was advertised. It's a frustration we hope to see addressed, as reliable telematics data would take the platform to the next level. Outside of that, Fleetio has proven to be a dependable and user-friendly solution that we would recommend to other fleet operators.

Our onboarding was good, our experience has been really good. The platform was huge benefit compared to the previous way we tracked our assets (excel files).

Pros

The ability to have all of our assets in one area has been a game changer for us. Having monthly inspections also keeps us on a good path for understanding life expectancies of our units. Also being able to connect our vehicles to our vehicle gateways has been a huge hit as well.

Cons

Not having the ability to connect our asset trackers to our assets in the system. Just being able to make that connection would have really been a nice touch.

Overall, very satisfied. I find it refreshing that the developers didn't just make a program and then let it stagnate. It evolves over time, just like we do.

Pros

What I like most about is how involved and proactive the Fleetio team is. There are constant performance updates, integrations, bug fixes, seminars, and more. I find that the system can do pretty much everything I expect with new features rolling out consistently.

Cons

I do wonder if I'm making the most out of the platform. Because of the wide range of abilities of the program, and how deep it can go, I find myself sticking to what I know. It'd be helpful if someone from could meet with our team and talk about our specific use case and needs.

Good, it helps the operations team day in and out. I strongly agree that even with limitations, the platform is amazing. We as maintenance department, use the platform every day and we have not only managed the fleet, but saved a lot of money sincce.

Pros

Fleet management with detailed issues, work orders and inspections. In our fleetm we need to have proof of assets received in our yards and even the ones that are delivered to new customers. Also, we have an inside shop which is managed throught the stock and equipment management in . Our Technicians are all online and fill the fields everyday.

Cons

I cannot customize the dashboards, this is not really good. I would like to create custom dashboards in order to see exact data related to our business, truck leasing. And also, we need to have a linked asset history, but unfortunately we dont.

Overall is an excellent product that we are really only scratching the surface on. I wish we could get better adoption by our staff especially with the ease of navigating and using the system.

Pros

From my experience over the last almost 3 years of working with I find the simplicity and flexibility to be exceptional. It has probably been the easiest software to learn that I have ever used.

Cons

The things I like least about are the moving around of features. There may be features I use and am used to them and then when an update gets pushed out a certain feature may get moved to a different location. I also do not like the we are exposed to features that we do not have access to with our plan.

Product was ready to run from day 1. Gives us valuable resources in a simple package

Collected data like email addresses are difficult to edit. Mileage entries can be hard to re-align.

Overall makes my job much easier. I spend a lot of my day keeping up with trucks service, and parts that run through the business. It integrates with Samsara seamlessly.

Pros

I really appreciate the amount of information you can keep on your vehicles, service and parts, as well as the reminders for renewals.

Cons

Not coming from a trucking background it took me a little while to wrap my head around some of the things required, but thanks to the Fleetio academy I have learned a lot

Overall, I like the system, and I really have not had any major issues on my end. It has good reports and easy entry capabilities. What you put in is what you get out and by that, I mean you can enter information but if it is not accurate then the reports will reflect that as well and the info will be incomplete.

Pros

I like that everything is in one system and all together. I also like that the menu is organized by category and easy to follow. I like I can go in and pretty much maneuver in there easy enough without help and figure it out.

Cons

Mind you I only do the entry of the service orders; I am not a fan of having to enter every detail of the invoice one by one, but I do understand the information needs to be broke down so we can see what work has been done on the units. I would love to see a way to scan directly into the system and not have to attach the invoices.

It's a solid platform that allows you to make things work your way given enough time and energy. Data and other experiences are top notch, the team seems very open for improvement and always looking for ways to improve.

Pros

I like how granular you can get with data, and the exporting works great too! I am able to save views for various things and customize labels and statuses for units as well.

Cons

Some work order creations would highly benefit from pre-made template that allow various fields to be prefilled. It would also be great to have a select number of business days rather than just a calendar selector. Some repairs require a lot of service items too, so adding all of the open issues are timely, having a auto smart match would help cut down on WOS creations.

We use as a secondary product in our fleet management program. While we use Samsara for most of our needs, Fleetio does assist us with DVIR, an invaluable tool for any fleet. Fleetio also gives more detailed vehicle information than Samsara including fault codes.

Pros

We utilize the service and inspection reminders, those are very helpful and intuitive. The overall vehicle cost tracking is also useful for our fleets needs.

Cons

We had difficulty getting the integration with Samsara to work with . Otherwise, we don't have any complaints.

It has been great thus far. At first it took the drivers a little bit to get used to the new system (which didn't take to long - its fairly intuitive). It's helped us see who left the truck dirty, who's caused damages prior, and better keep track of maintenance.

Pros

It is very helpful to keep track of issues with trucks, it also helps us ensure all our drivers are ACTUALLY doing a pre-trip.

Cons

Our mechanic never checks it, so we still have to let him know about issues with the trucks. That is an US problem - Not a problem.

### "Modernizing your fleet with the right tools"

My overall experience is nothing short of wonderful, we went from spread sheets and peoples memory to visuals and organization that everyone understands. lets face it most people that build spread sheets they are the only ones that understand it. from there once we tied in our gps and set our maintenacne schedules we are happy campers

Pros

How intuitive it was to launch and get users in the system, I also really like the maintenance and work order piece of the system, pre trips was the best part of all of it, the amount of customization to make it your own is second to none

Cons

\- No maintenance calendar view- No real compliance reporting- Unable to assign more than one operator to a unit - 24hr shift view, something that can tie into assigning units and be able to assign them to night or day

Reason for choosing Fleetio

In a previous role as Fleet MGR for 14yrs I was tasked in 2017 to source a new program, I searched high and low and felt the best solution was and now in a new role I have launched Fleetio once again

The sales team has been nothing but supportive towards me while we were internally evaluating the product.

Pros

I like the honesty of the team at . When i asked them the question if they do GPS tracking, they said they don't as they concentrate on the main components of Fleet Management. I can only heartedly agree with that. On a related note, they have many integrations with companies who provide GPS tracking services, so I have no fear whatsoever of being left in the dark on this one with Fleetio.

Cons

Their trial period is too short. I had to request, I think, 3 times to have it extended. A trial period of 2 months is, I think a better duration for a company to rigorously evaluate this software. Not in the last place because it has many features to explore.

Reason for choosing Fleetio

Neither of these two solutions could even come close to 's Fleet Management. Their solutions are much more focused on tracking the vehicles than managing them. Secondly, their interfaces are antiquated when compared to Fleetio's options and don't seem to be maintained much, if at all. And lastly, the cost of their product does not make any sense given the little amount of actual fleet management features it offers.

Allows me to structure the new corporate fleet policies, procedures, records. Encourages vehicle managers to protect, utilize and maintain company assets.

Pros

\- The GUI is very clean and airy, so that makes a good first impression. - The simple layout keeps "clutter-confusion" to a minimum. - Little blue "helping" text through-out provides clarification of functionality for starting users. Just hover over those & click, or hover over little question marks. - Their lack of strong vehicle & driver dispatching / routing / tracking / scoring is a plus for us (~1,000 vehicles & equipment). We only needed an asset management system with vehicle and equipment data capture capabilities. Preventive and scheduled vehicle maintenance. Also authorized driver assignments. - Internal dbs communications are handy with public vehicle comments and easy email prompts. Maybe they'll offer IM?? -Batch Export/Import process is VERY fast and intuitive. Just "Export Data", receive Excel spreadsheet, modify your data, "Save", "Import Data", drag/drop the file, "OK" the template and click "Submit". You don't even have to rename the original file. -Our corporate VPs are pleased with the automatic reminders and notifications. Driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, insurance renewals etc. can be dated to provide advance notice and even overdue alerts. Some other corporate departments were investigating this capability. Guess Fleet Management got it first. -Creating custom fields is very simple. Everybody needs those.

Cons

\-Canned reporting selection can be increased, OR, -The ability to generate and save Admin or User reporting would be nice. Probably a more efficient avenue than the first option. -NOT a CON: Automatic scheduled report generation would be a big plus for me. Come in to work Monday AM and find 3-5 brief reports already processed, covering vehicle Alerts, Problems, New Vehicles etc would be very nice. Maybe even auto distribution. Other databases do that. -Too little internal corporate or financial structure hierarchy. "Group" is about the only way to tag a vehicle except with a person's name (driver). Our internal IT will have that as integration priority #1 since user security restrictions (vendor recently enhanced that), financial charging to contracts, projects and overhead is required. -I discussed automatic vehicle retirement data routing to our G/L, Risk and Fixed Asset System depts with the vendor. They are providing a couple of workaround options and I think they should add this as a canned communication to other corporate depts. If only as vehicle data Excel file attachment to an email distribution group. Triggered upon vehicle status change to "Sold", "Scrapped", etc.

Once is setup, it is great to use. It does almost everything we need it to and it constantly evolves and adds new features.

Cons

Implementation was a nightmare due to how complex and technical is.

Overall the system is very useful

Pros

samsara API is very useful. The more API's the better Maybe with an accounting system in future would be helpful and more fuel card API's automatic transactions instead of having to request CSV from our vendors.

Cons

there are still minor issues throughout such as the fact we are not able to delete PO's when using fifo This does not make sense you must understand incorrect data entry happens and there should be ways to fix these errors.

Reason for choosing Fleetio

The layout was more appealing, a major factor over most was API to the logistics system Samsara we use.

### "Fleetio helps me truly "see" our fleet."

I've been administrating the product for 5 years. is very intuitive and the entire Fleetio staff is always super helpful and friendly. I'd recommend it to any company with a fleet of any size.

Pros

gives me incredible visibility into our fleet. We use Fleetio to track about 1100 vehicles across the country. Before Fleetio, we had little to no idea whether maintenance was being performed on time. Now, a simple glance at the dashboard tells me or our managers where we stand. They also have easy to understand reports that help me drill down into the details.

Cons

It is not fully customizable by the user. That can be a pro for beginners but a slight drawback for advanced users. So, if there is a feature you would like to use that they do not provide, you can't tweak the system on your own. The team is great about taking feedback though and they are always improving and expanding the system, often based on customer input.
