### "Could not preform my job with out When I Work"

I work on small and large project. helps to project how long man power will be tied up on large project, which helps forecasting, cost of labor, project schedule, when we can schedule the next project. On small projects is makes a clear line of communication between the project manager and the field personal, so that everyone is on the same page when it comes to scheduling.

Pros

Create's a standard line of communication between management and field personnel. Also helps the field personal to be prepared for their next task.

Cons

I work on the road a lot. The program is much easier to schedule personal from the desktop than it is from using the app on a device. Although it does not affect me all the time, it would be nice to see an interface on the device that was more similar to the one on the desk top. At least just for scheduling.

Great. We never had any issues and our team was always able to access and see their schedules. We used it for a team of 50+ so it can scale very easily as your team grows.

Pros

is a very easy to use product. We were able to easily create, manage, and publish schedules for a team of 50+ employees. It was also able to connect to our phone system so we could create a round robin calling system based on who was scheduled.

Cons

Nothing really. It was a very easy to use system and checked all the boxes for what we needed. The only reason we changed systems was because we moved to an HRIS that included scheduling and no longer had a need for .

So far the service has been great and I appreciate that there is a Zapier capability to allow me to connect to 3rd part apps.

Pros

I appreciate that I can connect with my care workers and they can schedule time around their own schedules.

Cons

The free version does everything I need it to so there's really nothing that I don't like about it. Great job!

Pros

The scheduling part is awesome. It allows us to communicate easily with our staff and get schedules out to everyone via the app.

Cons

The time keeping part isn't always great. It's not always designed to work with our time period that ends at 7AM on Monday. It often puts time off requests on the previous pay period. Their support is lousy at best. They only have chat support, no phone support. When I contact them about a bug in the software, the response always is "OK, we'll work on it". That is not acceptable when the bug affects Payroll. They need to fix it quicker or implement a work around. Just this morning now the software is completely down and I have no way to contact anyone, because their help site is down also, so can't contact them via chat.

Increased communication with employees, beneficial blog posts to pass along to our management team, and a system where we have experienced no down time

Pros

seems to be the culmination of every scheduling manager's "But I wish I could......" statements. It is intuitive, flexible, and easy both during set up and for the end users. It also helps that the customer support and company culture are inviting and informative.

Cons

What I like the least is the fact that my company is currently stuck using a different Time Clock system so we don't use that specific functionality that offers.

### "A comprehensive and understandable labor scheduling system"

It is a system that allows multi-channel communications as well as calendar management and report creation, it is the type of tool that is not organizationally complex and does not require large investments.

Pros

Allows communications with employees in a much faster way even if you work remotely, in recent years this tool has been growing by making real time updates and organizing shift changes or managing the employee database, it is a tool with many functions that I would consider beneficial for professionals

Cons

I have no problems the tool works well and can be adapted to companies without complexities or without high costs, it is very functional and flexible

Pros

WhenIWork is great for our workplace because it allows us to easily see our schedules, request time off, and punch in and out for shifts and breaks.

Cons

In addition to this platform my workplace has to use another site in order to offer employee benefits. Would be nice to have everything in one.

### "Makes my life SO much easier!"

Scheduling is a BREEZE!! You just have to try it yourself. There are way too many features that simplify my work load to list. All I know is that my business runs smooth as heck because of WhenIWork.

Pros

the software is great, but the customer service is OFF THE CHARTS! I wasn't a very tech savvy guy when I first started using WhenIWork, so I was constantly chatting with customer service and they were always extremely helpful, found answers if they didnt know the answers, and sent a handwritten personalized thank you card when I first joined. This is an example of a company that does things RIGHT! I love the scheduler, but also the hire feature, auto-assign, and the work chat allows me to email my entire team (as much as the employees change) without having to update a contact list email.

Cons

My business is strangely specific, so my needs are very specific. WhenIWork covers all the bases for me except being able to load saved shift templates from the mobile app. I can publish them from the mobile app, but I can't load them unless I'm on a computer. Which I am most of the time, so it's not that big of deal. I don't use a few of the features besides the scheduler, but having the options to use HIRE, TIME CLOCK, and other features are very helpful to other business mangers as well.

I think scheduling would not be managed as well without this software.

Pros

I love that employees can indicate when they are available and when they are not available. I love that they can put in requests for time off which helps me not rely on myself for remembering. I love that there are additional features for rate of wage. I like the attendance and I can see if employees are showing up late or getting into overtime. There is a budget feature which I have not used but think would be very helpful in the future.

Cons

I wish that I could have the option of excluding some employees when sending a general email through WIW. I also wish that open shifts were always a different color especially when looking at the schedule by position. This would bring my attention to the open shift and alert me that someone is needed. I wish I could publish an employees schedule out for more than 1 week.

There is not a way to automatically change the colors of the OpenShifts. Instead managers would have to manually edit the OpenShifts and change the colors on the Scheduler page. I love this product. Greatly improves several aspects of our workplace, both management and employees.

Pros

Makes creating and managing the schedule a breeze. Saves us hours of work vs doing this the old way, on paper. We love that our employees can find a sub easily. This makes their job more flexible which a must so they can fit work into their busy recreation schedules.

Cons

I wish the price was lower. Seems a little high, however they have the best customer service.

Overall I enjoy the easy and simplicity of picking my shifts with this app. Its easy to navigate and for the most part has very few bugs.

Pros

is great for keeping track of your shifts and signing up for new ones. It makes it easy for employeers to let employees know when new shifts are available and employees can easily pick and choose when to work and keep track of their schedule. If you don't like to keep track of your schedule yourself you can set up reminders and notifications to alert you when a shift is coming up or when your employeer adds a new shift to the schedule.

Cons

Depending on the size of the company you work for, picking up shifts can some times be hard. Most shifts are limited by how many people can pick them up so its often first come first serve. If you miss a notification it might be too late for you to grab a shift which may mean you wont be able to work that week.

User friendly and easy to teach employees how to use.

Pros

Schedules are easy to set up, attendance is easy with clock in and out. Easy to export data to hr software.

Cons

Deleted punch in and outs are not recorded. Need a record of them. Printing of schedules is too basic not enough options to print the schedule how you want. Time card sheets should print out nicely on one page. Should have fingerprint sign in for employees to clock in and out on a locked time clock device.

### "Solid scheduling platform"

Pros

The platform was easy to use in general and the employee app was handy.

Cons

Wasn't the best solution for a restaurant. Wanted to be able to schedule without defined end times so that staff didn't get the idea they could leave exactly at that time. Some other platforms allow for this (such as scheduling to "business decline" or "close"). But it works well for businesses with fixed schedules.Dealt with some lagging on the backend when scheduling via a pc.

### "easy to use"

Pros

WIW is pretty intuitive, and our team has no problem navigating the software. it's user friendly. we would be lost without using WIW as a scheduling tool.

Cons

i don't love the fact you have to enter in the amount of hours a team member is taking off when you're entering a day off. we don't use WIW to track hours or as a vacation time management system, we simply just need to put it in the schedule that someone won't be there. it's not something would stop me from using this software or recommending it to someone else, it's just something i find annoying!!

Great tool for workplace communication. You have everything all in one place for employees to access easily.

Pros

This software makes it so easy to request time off, swap shifts, communicate with coworkers, and plan out what days you’d prefer to work. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who has shift workers. The app is also quick to learn.

Cons

One big drawback is that even though I had notifications enabled, I missed a lot of notifications because they did not send for some reason. This made it a little more stressful when I was trying to get a shift covered or had an emergency because I would have to constantly check the app for missed notifications.

An company may manage time and attendance, create and amend employee schedules, add new tasks to the calendar, check timesheets, and fill shifts using the cloud-based employee scheduling tool . Using native and browser-based applications, When I Work enables users to manage schedules and track time on mobile devices. When their schedules change, employees receive smartphone alerts, and they may use the app to request time off or shift changes. When staff members request time off, managers are informed and have the option to approve it online. Users can prevent scheduling conflicts by importing personnel data from spreadsheets or CSV files. Additionally supported are forms of communication including customized messaging and group email services. When I Work interacts with companies that offer payroll services like Gusto, QuickBooks, and ADP.

Pros

The simplicity of scheduling and accessibility appeals to me. They have a great customer service crew that is always willing to assist. I had a good overall experience with , and I would highly suggest it to other Business owners.

Cons

My only negative experience was having to repeatedly reset my phone due to GPS issues when attempting to clock in, which was unpleasant and time-consuming.

### "Super Easy Scheduling Software!!"

Overall, is a great tool that allows multiple people all with different availabilities to be easily scheduled. Love that there is an app for both iPhone and Android users so none of our staff have any issues with trying to use it. Super easy to navigate and haven't had any issues in the years we've been using When I Work.

Pros

This is one of the most user friendly and simple to navigate scheduling software. A lot of our maintenance technicians aren't the most tech-savvy people and they all were able to quickly figure out how to use , both the app and the web version. I also like that I am able to set reminder notifications before my shift. That feature is really helpful for my coworkers, since not everyone works the same schedule every week.

As a user, I honestly don't have any complaints. One of our managers is the one who makes the schedules, but I haven't heard him say anything negative about the product.
