Pros

I love the ability to schedule my employees with ease. Saved templates, as well as calendar visibility are fantastic.

Cons

The only con is that the free version does limit how far in advance you can schedule your employees. Definitely make the purchase and utilize the full functionality.

It is a pretty easy system for scheduling my employee's! All they have to do is log in and check to see when they need to work.

Cons

I haven't found anything about When I work that I don't like. It is a great way to communicate with my employee's about their schedules.

When I Work is a decent option for scheduling. The system, once set up properly, is relatively seamless for scheduling, reporting, and communication. If there are WiFi issues, however, this system becomes useless.

Pros

When I Work is flexible and delivers decent reporting and scheduling features.

Cons

The set up process take a very long time. The education component of When I Work also takes people quite a while to get used to.

I love working when When I work because it has yet to fail me. I'm notified of shifts and all the info provided seems up to the minute updates (timesheets). I enjoy both the app and website.

Pros

I like that the interface is simple and very easy to you. Everything is clearly labeled and very navigational. I enjoy the simplicity as it doesn't look cluttered. You're given the info you're looking for instantly and clearly. It is easy to when I work (no pun intended) as well as when my coworkers or employees should be on shift.

Cons

I wish there was more color to it. Make it seem more inviting and not so... boring. In that aspect is too simple. But that's just me being super picky because overall this product is great.

### "Clocking in with When I Work"

My overall experience with When I Work is positive. All in all the software works and allows me to check in.

Pros

What I like most about When I Work is that it allows me to quickly and independently clock in to my shifts. I also like that I can easily look back and see previous shifts and request time off.

Cons

What I like least about When I Work is that they have malfunctions where you can't check in to your shift. It seems like WIW's gps tracking is sometimes off.

Pros

It's a simple and easy solution for scheduling. The managers Like being able to view on a computer , staff use the app to see their schedules.

Cons

The is no where for managers to make notes on employees regarding that schedules. - example while an employee did not show up to work - if you use the shift notes every is notified . Haven't yet been able to see if you can create a small group chat - example only managers.

### "Makes scheduling a breeze!"

I love it! Have I said that enough? Give this software a try if you're in charge of scheduling any number of employees. They can have it as an app on their phones, too, so it's super easy for everyone to use.

Pros

I love this software! I manage 50 student employees, and until I discovered When I Work, scheduling them was the biggest headache! This makes it so easy. I have each of them input their weekly availability, and then when I go through each week to create our schedule, I can quickly see if someone is available for a certain shift. They can request time off, request to drop shifts and offer it to another student, and confirm shifts. I can't say enough good things about When I Work. It's easy to figure out and has made a world of difference in keeping our ambassadors accountable for their shifts.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about this software. We've been able to manage just using the free version that allows me to schedule shifts 10 days out, and it's been great. In the future I would love for our office leadership to approve using the purchased monthly subscription, but I'm so grateful When I Work has the free version because we've been able to give it a try and have found that it's an amazing scheduling tool.

### "When I Work - Simple, Intuitive and Mobile"

This is a great tool for managing a flexible, hourly workforce and is simple enough to be easily grasped by all. The interface is simple and intuitive and mobile.

Pros

Very simple to learn as a user. The mobile application works well for simple things like accepting shifts, checking the schedule and requesting time off. I like that you can upload a photo to your profile and like the workchat functionality for requesting shift swaps and keeping the team abreast of issues.

Cons

When I request time off, it sends an email to the CEO, COO and management team listing every one of my (historic) time off requests. This causes them stress and seems necessary. I would rather the individual request was sent as one item since the previous requests were already seen earlier by management.

### "When I Work is flexible and easy to use!"

Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to access different schedules for multiple locations all in one screen.

Pros

Both teenage employees and retirees are able to use the program with limited difficulties. It also allows flexibility in programs and cost which is ideal for a season company like ours. We have over 100 employees in-season, and less than 10 in the off-season and we make adjustments all year long.

Cons

The availability feature is not as user friendly as it could be, and has some limitations regarding users and changing availability after schedules have been posted.

This really helped keep me on track with my hectic work schedule. I enjoyed using it when I had to for work.

Pros

A couple of things about this product is its functionality. It keeps my schedule organized, and for someone with multiple incomes, that is important as days can sometimes blend. I also really like how it will send you a reminder of when you have a shift coming up.

Cons

One of the cons I found was the chat was not as functional as the rest of the app. I found myself having to resend a couple of messages. It can get frustrating at times, but other than that the rest of the app works great.

Everything I needed and some

Pros

Loved it from day one. Very scalable and worth every penny. You can use part or all of their services. Plus if you have any questions or issues, their customer service is like no other.

Cons

Worth every penny...just a lot of pennies. I wish the group chats were easy to control on adding or removing people. Also, you can't delete the group chats, and they end up getting a bit cumbersome. With all of that said. Can't complain.

### "Perfect solution for easy shift scheduling "

It freed up massive amounts of time that I had previously spent on mundane tasks trying to figure out where and when to schedule people in spreadsheets. Scheduling is now a breeze

Pros

Easier to use than competitors, it has a great user interface, the ability to alert employees when schedules change, you can add details to the shift ie. position or location as opposed to just a time. It also has great general details about the business like number of hours scheduled, even wages and other costs, breakdown by position etc.

Cons

Personally can't think of any cons, I've used a regular spreadsheet before, then another scheduling software before When I Work, and this is by far the best tool I've found for that. Would never go back, it does exactly as I need.

Love this product, and would highly recommend it for small businesses in the service sector.

Pros

Great for part time, irregularly staffed employees. Forces employees to confirm their hours, so they can never claim miscommunication for missing shifts.

Cons

Some less tech savvy employees can have difficulties with it.

### "Keeps my Dialed in on When I work"

Overall, I enjoy using this software and recommend it to all small business owners that are looking for a software that can help keep employees scheduling up to date

Pros

I love this software for 3 main reasons...1) Free 2)easy to use and merge scheduling together 3) very useful for my task and helps me keep up-to-date on everything and if I subcontract a gig out to another DJ I can let them know immediately on what their schedule is.

Cons

The only complaint that I have about the When I work software is the fact that leaving messages for people that have it sometimes don't come through in a timely matter and alerts are very up-to-date depending on if its a group message or just between a couple of people

I love the available shifts and calendar right there so it's easy to check which shifts are which days, and being able to easily swap a shift with a coworker or get one covered

### "We love When I Work!"

I think it's a great program and even better that it has an easy app to go with.

Pros

The app is awesome! Because I run payroll, it is very helpful in seeing who is working when. It's also super easy to request days off through the app.

Cons

It's not a big deal, but when the schedule is being made on the main calendar, if someone requests a day off, it look like they are just not on the schedule. So if I forgot an employee requested off and see that they are not on, I instantly worry that I screwed up somewhere. It's not until I actually click on the day that it pops up. It would be nice to see something like JIM OFF-DOC APPT.

### "Great little app"

Pros

We had 10 employees and two locations. Scheduling was always a big nightmare. When we found this app, everything became so much easier. The employees had it on their mobiles and we had a manager do all the scheduling, send us a note for approval, and then it would be published. The employees loved it, and the nightmares did not return. Because we only had 10 employees, we were able to use the free version, which would limit the time ahead you could schedule your employees. Other than that, it was a breeze.

Cons

The learning curve was a little steep. However, once we knew how to use it, we had no more issues.

We enjoy this program a lot.

Pros

It is easy to keep track on all employees. It is also very easy to see who is on the schedule for the week and fix times if needed.

Cons

We turned off the mobile access to be sure that everyone was being accurate and honest.

Switched from
