I use Redtail CRM daily to manage client relationships in the financial sector — it helps me track communications, schedule follow-ups, and keep everything organized in one place.

Pros

I like how easy Redtail is to use, with a clean interface and customizable client records. It also integrates well with industry-specific tools, and the built-in document management is really useful.

Cons

Some parts of the interface feel a bit outdated. A few of the more advanced features can take time to learn, and customer support can be slow to respond.

Overall, I find Redtail CRM spot‑on for everyday client handling and for lone advisers or tiny practices

Pros

I love the UI, proper simple and nippy, everything feels set up to keep your productivity ticking along. By saying that, I’m thinking of the colour‑coded dashboards and the nifty filters that let you customise the view to whatever’s pressing right this minute.

Cons

I don’t like how slow it runs, really—you take it for a quick spin and end up waiting on every single screen, feels like it’s catching its breath each time.

Overall it is easy to learn and use. I like how the contact profiles look. It is very functional.

Pros

I like how user friendly it is. Their tech support is really helpful and very responsive. I like how it integrates with my other software.

Cons

I don't like having to manually push my activities to see them on my todays view. I also wish there was a plugin in Outlook to be able to add an email to a contact and an activity. I also dont like not being able to search by nickname for my contacts.

Redtail CRM has been better out of the box than Sugar CRM but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of custom workflows and usability of the customer data profiles.

Pros

Easy to use the basic functions. Good for keeping track of essential client data and maintaining a client review schedule.

Cons

Requires a lot of menu diving for anything other than basic functions. Workflows are clunky for automations. Calendar integration is a hassle and tech support is subpar.

The transition from one CRM to RedTail went very well, and we felt well-supported throughout. They system works wonderfully for our group now, but it took a lot of trial and error for us to figure out how to do that. The support, training, help after transition is pretty much non-existant, which was very frustrating.

Pros

They system is very customizable in all senses. Nearly all fields and how their set up can be customized to work for your group and business. We also use the reporting features quite a bit.

Cons

The ability to customize everything can become paralizing, and RedTail's training and support was not nearly robust enough. We set the system up the way we thought would work for us, only to realize that certain things are not reportable/searchable. We then had to rethink and re-set up our entire contact list.

Pros

Redtail is fairly easy to use and straightforward. There are lots of "extras" that we don't use, but it works for what we need it for (CRM for a financial services firm, note keeping, contact management).

Cons

Workflows do not work well. We ended up purchasing another software that integrates with Redtail to manage our workflows.

Pros

Maintain my client database along with activities and notes for compliance purposes - sync's with my mobile phone so contacts and calendar is always available

Cons

Used to be great but the past 5 years or so we've seen less attention and customer service is lacking - suggestions are noted as planned but no movement for years and new suggestions or comments sit awaiting moderator approval and never become visible to the community. Can take hours to get customer service on the phone to resolve issues and we haven't seen an update to the program in ages. Doesn't seem they care anymore about the users experience.
