Pros

Single feed of multiple social channels in one desktop window is really useful. Many of the other benefits of Sprout have recently gone with all the Facebook/Instagram privacy changes - see list of 'Cons' below. Reporting is good also

Cons

No YouTube comments feed (Hootsuite has this) No Instagram @mentions feed. The price - now that lots of the useful Sprout functionality has been lost due to Facebook/Instagram policy changes. This means that many of the reasons we chose Sprout and many of the the cost-benefits of using Sprout have been lost .

\- great reporting functionality provides valuable business intelligence - very user friendly and is available on mobile - makes working in a team much easier

Cons

\- mainly the price... it has risen gradually over the years - the social streams could be more productive: it would be nice if you could monitor your posts on multiple social streams on a single page

Pros

Sprout Social is extremely easy to use. I mean that - it can be taught to anyone. It makes successful social media possible for any organization.

Cons

I wish it had the capability to post to Instagram. I think it would be a big plus. Also, Twitter capabilities could be expanded. I wish you could tag in photos via Sprout.

Pros

A great solution for any agency. Sprout Social has a great interface. The tools you get are great at seeing what your audience likes and dislikes and helps you grow your brand. The reporting is great compared to other similar services. The pricing is much better than paying per user, and the features make it a worthwhile investment and with a free trial you can easily see if this will work for you.

Cons

It would be great if they integrated with even more social media accounts so I could use this as the one stop place to schedule content. The pricing might be high compared to other products out there, so make sure to find out what features you need first.

After using Sprout and other Social Media Planners, it was overtaken by Hootsuite which I was already familiar with and found a tad easier to use and for free.

Pros

I used Sprout for a short-time while working for a non-profit organization as their marketer. It was very easy to schedule social media posts on various platforms for the week.

Cons

The cost was the largest issue for our organization.

Pros

The look is clean and fresh. It's easy to navigate and schedule content in advance. I love the ability to pull great reports and tracking your overall results. You can compare your results in social media to other profiles as well.

Cons

Nothing. It is really a great product and it's something I am glad to use every day. It makes your job so much easier when you are managing social media.

The reports generated from a visual perspective provide a great user interface, and interest to read more.

Cons

The function of the program does not support the cost. Found it to be difficult at times to manipulate data to gather reports. The tiered costs don't provide you a complete set of reports to pull from.

Pros

The centralized inbox is a god send - i know i will not miss any messages. The publishing is easy to use. Optimized posting times is great! Reports are easy to use and thorough.

Cons

Support was not great. Slow to get back, especially with listening (Smply Measured). No strategy support for analytics or listening. Reports are not customizeable.

Cons

I've found that it can sometimes be a little clunky to get reports. It is definitely not the easiest part of the platform so I hope they fix this soon!

My overall experience with SS has been pleasant, now I have a grip of my company social media and get to see the day by day activities beforehand.

Pros

I use sprout social to keep my business accounts on schedule and monitorized. What I like the most is that you can have several users in the same account, which allow me to see what my community manager schedules, making it easier for me to see errors or request a change.

Cons

I’ve had used the 30 day free trial so far, I’m planning to purchase the full version since I can’t get the full analysis report data from free trial among other things. I think it’s worth it and highly encourage anyone to do the free trial and try Sprout Social.

Faster workflow especially when working with a lot of different profiles.

Pros

The Smart Inbox and the Publishing Tool are very useful. I also like the app a lot. Its cool to have all interactions from our profiles on one page.

Cons

The Feed is the least useful tool for me as we dont use Twitter. Im also missing some quality of life features like being able to edit a post from the publishing calender.

Sprout Social has a great user interface and good customer service. The analytics report are also very elaborate and easy to go through.

Cons

The starting price is fair but as more users are added, it becomes more costly. This isn't necessarily a con but I was hoping for a more flat rate pricing method.

Pros

You can group your accounts and see all the mentions in one stream, not that messy mess on Hootsuite.

Cons

I feel that sometimes it doesn't capture all mentions on Instagram. Also, I found the search very inefficient, when I am trying to find a specific mention.

Pros

Easy enough to use and cx support is reasonably fast. Varied plans but cost for multiple licenses is expensive

Cons

Reports are a hot mess, data is all over the place and the exported pdfs need a serious overhaul. Ability to prepare a customized report is feature locked to most expensive plan so you're left piecing together a report yourself. Explanation of data is poor.

Pros

As an organization that manages 7+ attractions and over 20+ accounts, the ability to filter hashtags, geolocations etc in one location has helped with saving time and ease of scheduling to multiple accounts and most importantly reporting analytics to the management team.

Cons

It would be great to see an integration (example: CrowdRiff) that allows to interact with user generated content through brand keywords or geolocation to re-share on our social platforms with the ability to send mass messaging for permission.

I was solving ROI reporting on social with sprout. The benefits it provided was a clear, concise and visually reliable way to share measurements, in depth.

Pros

I loved the detailed and infographic delivered metrics - it not only made it simple for me to understand, but my clients loved it and were able to narrate the story with just a little bit of reporting text.

Cons

I wish that it had more customizable reporting at times, and that social listening was a little more akin to a Radian6 at the time I was using it.

Pros

The reporting is fantastic. I can easily schedule posts on various platforms, which is a huge plus. And the audience analysis is good, too.

Cons

I wish there were an editorial calendar to plan my content prior to scheduling. Right now, I have to do this in Excel and it would speed up the process if I could manage this planning aspect digitally in the same management system that I use to draft and schedule posts. I've emailed support about this idea a couple of times and hope it gets some traction.

Being able to monitor clients all day in one place without missing anything

Pros

That you can create a combined folder when working across multiple clients and are able to monitor their platforms in one place all day. I also love the branded keywords section for social listening on Instagram.

Cons

Would love a "clear all" button when you click into individual posts. Sometimes clients can get an overwhelming amount of comments and there is no need to respond to each of them, but still need to clear out the notifications.

Pros

The software is very comprehensive, you can add lots of different channels. You can work in different ways depending on the type of company you have (with divisions for your different brands if appropriate). It makes it consequently easy to use for small structures, as well as larger companies.

Cons

Some specific features that are on Social Media channels itself, such as Facebook, are not available on the platform (but not on any other platforms either - eg. in post translation on Facebook). The day this is addressed will be great.

Sprout allowed me to add more social profiles, save time on publishing, monitoring and overall a good result.

Pros

Sprout Social is quick, very easy to use, plus easy to learn and far quicker than the competition. The interface is fa sleeker than a big rival option which makes the user experience enjoyable. Reporting is also very flexible and easy to generate, schedule and customize as and when you need it.

Cons

The mobile app is good (and better than others) but it would be nice to see some more updates and options.

ability to schedule posts; posting to multiple sm channels; easy to navigate; comprehensive analytics;

Cons

limit of 3MB for image attachments - I have vast libraries of hi-res images 7MB and more which I cannot use. Sometimes difficult to scroll down in publishing view mode Limit on how far in advance posts can be scheduled.
