Pros

Sprout social has the best analytics of any of the social media management platforms I've used in the past. I also really like the approved post feature. Its great for larger teams that have multiple people working within the account.

Cons

Sprout social is definitely more pricey compared to some of their competitors. They also recently dropped their annual commitment discount, which is one of the reason why the company I work for decided to switch platforms.

Convenience and efficiency. And great customer service.

Pros

The layout not only works well and is convenient but looks great too. Whenever we had an issue there was always someone there to resolve it quickly which I enjoyed. They also took in customer feedback and made changes like adding new features accordingly.

Cons

Sometimes it freezes and I have to reload the page. There is no drag and drop feature. And the discover search engine doesn't seem like the most accurate thing

Sprout Social has many valuable analytic tools to help you grow your business' engagement and impressions across social networks. Sprout's Viral Post helps identify optimum engagement times to help grow your audience.

Cons

While Sprout allows you to schedule across multiple platforms in one single post, you have to schedule individually if you want to add any tags on multiple platforms, or have more than one photo you would like on certain networks.

Pros

One stop shopping at it's best! We use sprout to schedule social media posts all in one spot. A HUGE thing we look for when using software are the learning curve and customer service. Sprout gets an A+ in both departments. The interface is beautiful, clean and easy to use. The drop downs are intuitive and you don't have to guess around to get what you want done. They have rolled out a listening tool that we recommended when we were considering the product which makes it even more robust! The reporting features are great too. You're able to export them reports and add your own branding if you wanted to send the reports to client or plop them in your own documentation. If you run in to any snags or have issues their customer support is responsive and quick to get a hold of.

Cons

The platform isn't all encompassing so some things are add-on expenses. Which is understandable. Everyone doesn't need/want social listening capabilities, but it's a nice add on to have. Do I wish it were included, yes, but I get it.

Pros

I love the consistency, analytics, organization, bells and whistles! I'm so glad we switched this year, we had publishing issues with Hootsuite, it was unreliable and offered us limited insights on our social channels.

Cons

This soft-wear was not made for a large retailer with multiple locations (50+) and pages (100+). I have different needs than your standard user or agency and I feel unheard when I make suggestions to our rep to send to the developers. Please add a better sorting function to the publisher. Example: I have 50 facebook pages for our stores. I want to be able to filter out just those pages and not have to do it 1 at a time. If I could select them all at once, it would save me a lot of hassle. Hootsuite offers this, you should too! It's a pretty basic function. Thanks!!!

Pros

I can access from anywhere and I can post to instagram! I also love being able to track keywords. The queue feature is awesome too for filling in content gaps.

Cons

Wish I could search for past content in order to re-send or look up stats easily. I miss the old publishing view. While the calendar is helpful, I liked being able to see everything listed out as before.

I felt wanted despite being a 1 user account. I demoed over 5 competitors. None matched. One had similar customer service, but not the features. Hands down, based on research and experience, I feel I got the ONLY application that meets all my needs and makes me happy to do so.

Pros

Customer service from pre-sales, to sale, to established user has been top notch!

Cons

There are a few features I wish I could do from the platform, but from my research, a lot of these are blocked by the platforms themselves.

For almost a year I enjoyed using Sprout until we switched to Buffer and it was way easier and significantly cheaper. Also, Sprout started not posting scheduled posts to Instagram and their support team couldn't fix it for weeks. Our team would be on the phone with them, emailing them, or in chat inbox, with them every day for weeks and the problem never got fixed. We wish it worked out differently.

Pros

I liked how I could answer comments from all the platforms we had connected in one place. Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

Cons

It's extremely expensive for how many errors occur. The customer service techs are very friendly and should get a 10 for being agreeable and understanding of angry customers however​ they rarely are able to fix problems.​

I am happy with Sprout. It does exactly what I need it to do with no problems.

Pros

Working in social media means I have to be online A LOT. One thing that I love about Sprout Social is that I can schedule all of my content for the weekend so I can take a step back and not have to be on my phone all the time. Scheduling ahead of time is a great time saver.

Cons

My profiles seem to disconnect more than have on other platforms. Not a huge deal, very easy to fix.

Very easy to manage social media platforms.

Pros

I really like the multiple options available on Sprout and the ease of use. We have tried other management tools for social media but they were not user-friendly or did not connect to all platforms. My favorite features are the publishing/scheduling tool and the reports. It is really easy to schedule a post on multiple platforms at the same time and advises you on the guidelines of each platform as you go so the post will not be rejected. It also gives you multiple reports for free to review your progress and set goals. I use the messaging feature as well.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to view all of the feeds on this software and post on Pinterest as well.

Sprout Social will help simply and supercharge your social media management.

Pros

Sprout makes managing social posts and assets really easy. I've used many other social many other social managers in the past few years, and this is by far the most elegant. The UI is pleasing, the functionality dependable and the integrations are robust. I make particularly heavy use of the bit.ly integration, which saves a lot of time switching tabs. The main benefit of Sprout Social, though, has to be the reporting. Being able to see how a post or campaign has performed at a glance is really quite handy. That in conjunction with the "listening" feature makes planning out future campaigns much more productive.

Cons

My only real complaint about Sprout is the per-user price, but if your team only has a single social manager it is well worth the cost.

Pros

The ease of scheduling, it's basically a scheduling app, and nothing more.

Cons

offers very little insight into our followers which is ridiculous. Pinterest, youtube, twitter, and all other platforms offer insights into users and sprout social does not. it's basically a scheduling app

Easier organization and great analytics

Pros

If you're a brand that gets a lot of comments, this product is for you. The inbox feature organizes your fan engagement into a single stream so you no longer have to click from channel to channel to see what your fans are saying. You can see conversations you've had with people and it makes engagement simple!

Cons

The calendar option is okay but could use work. I'd like to see a more organized feature separated by campaigns and an option to change the text for future posts.

Sprout used to be my one stop shop to manage my social media profiles but unfortunately it is not as valuable a tool for me as it used to be. The reports/analytic feature is really the only thing keeping me as a client at this point

Pros

I love Sprout’s easy to understand and convenient reports feature

Cons

Now that Instagram changed its API, Sprout no longer can capture hashtags or locations, making it a lot less helpful to me than it was in the past. I have to spend so much time in-app now that I usually capture regular comments in app before replying in Sprout

It's a powerful tool, has something for every client's needs and easy enough to understand and navigate that can be used by every level in the business and the client as well.

Pros

The interface is very clean, most tools are easily accessible for every feature available and also, the very stylish and friendly design really improves the user experience, makes it more enjoyable. I'm particularly attached to the Smart Inbox, and how you can have all your social media interaction in one place as well as its connection with the Bot.

Cons

The bot feature only connects through social media accounts and doesn't have a standalone version, that could give a better, more professional look to a client's website.

Pros

I do really like the engagement tracking, makes it easier for me when planning social posts & strategy for the week.

Cons

I felt it was a bit spammy with the marketing emails, and they ask for too much from you. It could easily be stripped back.

I think Sprout Social is an excellent tool and the interface is very user-friendly. However, I can't justify the cost when I can get all of these features outside the platform for significantly less.

Pros

Sprout Social offers pretty much all of the features you need and want for social media management. It has a mailbox that allows you to manage all mentions, comments, etc. The reports are very extensive –– more extensive than any other platform I've used. If you have a large budget and spare no expense, this is the platform for you.

Cons

The features come at a premium price. It's hard to justify paying so much for the platform when you can get these features for a more reasonable price with other platforms. You might need to use two platforms to get everything offered inside Sprout Social, but it'll likely still cost you less. You also pay per user, and you get no discount for adding multiple users to the platform. You also have to pay extra for things like social listening, which is included on other platforms at no additional cost.

Pros

The reporting and analytics make it quick and easy to get people the analytics they want. It is so easy to pick the analytics you'd like to create a report on and email a beautiful visual reporting doc to the person who wants it.

Cons

The publishing feature sometimes does not work and links post broken or missing. I also think there should be more insight into posting times and more options for smart time posting.

Easily the best social media management tool I've used.

Pros

This software is something I use EVERY day. There are so many features that I almost feel like I find more every day. Sprout makes it easy to do community management for multiple organizations and plan their posts.

Cons

There have been a few minor problems but they are fixed quickly. I recently was unable to tag Facebook posts for a few hours (with a "can't query" message) but it was better within a few hours.

Pros

The analytics features and reporting tool. I love the depth of information provided. I can customize reports easily for our clients based on what network is most relevant to them and what information they want to see.

Cons

The lack of Pinterest support. It would be nice to have everything all in one place. Price is also on the high end, but I think at the end of the day you get more value for your dollar than with some other social media management tools.

We chose Sprout Social over Hootsuite and various others because of its easy-to-use interface, access to the most social media platforms we use, and its price point. It has been an incredible help with organizing and planning social media posts and campaigns. The only thing missing is the ability to post on Instagram.

Pros

Intuitive and easy to use. We are able to use Sprout to manage, schedule, view and respond on almost every social media platform we use. The scheduling function alone saves us so much time.

Cons

The inability to schedule posts for Instagram.

It's user-friendly and makes social media management so much easier by allowing to schedule posts and sometimes comments. I also like that they give warnings to make sure we use the best practices for each social media channel

Cons

The platform needs more features, like allowing to post several pictures on Instagram, schedule IGTV videos, and schedule stories on Facebook and Instagram. It's also complicated to add additional accounts to Sprout
