The signing itself works and holds up legally, which is the part I care about most. Everything around signing, templates and search in particular, feels heavier than it needs to be. Send a handful of standard documents a month and you will be fine. Change your document templates often and you should budget real time for maintenance. Pros Short signer side. I open the email, click through the fields, and finish in under a minute without creating an account. The signed PDF and the audit trail come back to my inbox, so I never had to chase anyone for proof that a document was signed. Legal accepted the signatures in every country we dealt with, and in a few years I never saw an envelope get lost or a signature fail to register. The API is documented well enough that I pulled envelope status into another system without opening a support ticket. Cons Template setup. You place every field on the PDF by hand, and when the document layout shifts by a line or two, the fields land in the wrong spots and you rebuild the template. Anchor text helps until someone edits the wording it anchors to. The web interface also adds clicks to things that should take one: finding an old envelope, resending it, checking who has not signed yet. On a phone the signing view zooms in a way that makes long contracts hard to read, so I stopped signing anything over two pages from mobile. None of this breaks the product. It makes life so easy in all my different incarnations and all my worlds as a realtor as an actor as a property manager – anytime I need to sign something or have something signed. It is just so easy and I am not someone who considers themselves technologically advanced in any way shape or form. I put myself in the dinosaur category and if I can do this, anyone can. Pros I love how unbelievably user-friendly Docusign is, no matter what your comfort level with technology is. What’s amazing is how seamlessly the desktop version is mimicked on the mobile version. The way everything is formatted it makes it virtually impossible to make a mistake and the fact that everyone gets a copy immediately is such a time saver. No one can ever dispute when a document was signed when it was sent or when it was received! It’s all there in black-and-white. I will say this repeatedly, there is not a week that goes by in my life that I don’t say out loud how much I appreciate this technology. It is a game changer and a life changer. I don't own a printer so it's difficult to print out a document, and then scan it again. Docusign makes everything so much simpler . Pros There are several things I like about Docusign, including it's user-friendliness and availability on a variety of platforms. Whenever I have to sign a document it is so much easier to check my email for a pdf or other document type, save it, and open it within in Docusign, as opposed to printing it out, signing it, and scanning the document to send it again. Cons My least favorite aspect of Docusign is only relevant on the mobile version of the software. It’s always been easy to find old documents, but I do wish it was more organized in the inbox. I know there’s a lot of AI software out there now they can do that for you and maybe I just need to combine the tub but thought maybe DocuSign could offer that although it has been a very positive experience we have spent tens of thousands of dollars on signature software over the years and DocuSign has been the easiest one of them all. Pros Ease of use is likely the biggest reason we use this product. Docusign is a household name in the business ecosystem just as much as it is in nearly every home. We had tried using other cut rate products but the issue we alway ran into ease of use and the name. Everybody would call it “Docusign” no matter which platform we used and that’s what they would search their inboxes for. We found that while formflow and adobe both have their corners of the market, for us Docusign was the easiest decision. Cons The reminder feature sets automatically which can be a great thing as well as a bad thing. We found that sometimes it was best to leave off but would have to manually set it to do so. It’s reliable, customers generally trust it since it’s a recognized name, and it has cut down on paper and printing costs in a real way over time. The pricing and occasional customer hand holding are the main downsides but for keeping financing paperwork moving quickly and staying in line with what my lenders want it’s been worth keeping around. I’d recommend it to another dealership as long as they go in expecting to spend a little time helping less tech savvy customers through the signing process. Pros I run a used car dealership and started using DocuSign because a few of my lenders actually require or prefer it for signing off on paperwork instead of dealing with paper copies. It has genuinely cut down on how much printing and filing I have to do, which adds up fast when you’re pushing through deals every week. Customers can sign from their phone which speeds things up a lot, especially when someone is finalizing financing from home before coming in to pick up the vehicle. Now everything stays in one process, and the finished document is available in its entirety at the end. This is much more convenient, especially with agreements involving multiple parties. Pros The solution is quite simple and intuitive to use. Once registered and authenticated, all signature levels are available. Documents can be stamped with a visible signature, increasing acceptance among many companies. Docusign also listens to customers and accepts and implements corresponding suggestions for improvement. Basically send documents to clients and teammates in no time and obtain legally valid signatures. Cons Basically, I like everything about Docusign. The concept is great.
