I use DocuSign every single time I need to sign a contract or if I need to sign financial paperwork for a transaction such as a mortgage or refinance. I think that DocuSign provides a great use case which allows me to be able to sign paperwork without being physically present, which has made life a lot easier! Pros I have used DocuSign to sign important documents for legal and financial transaction purposes repeatedly over the last few years. I like DocuSign because it is simple and is easy to use. It also helps me keep records of all of these documents, which is a great benefit! Cons I think that there are aspects of the software which are too simple and doesn't enable certain use cases. For example, if I want to propose changes to a contract this is difficult to do in the software -- you can only sign the existing contract as is. Review Source FSB FBOC Seattle B. Pros Docusign is so much better than the old style of sending sets of contract back and forth for original inked signatures. Saves time and paper. Amending and resending out new version is easy and the tracking of the contracts and their sage of execution is flawless. Love it! Cons Customer support? Does it even exist? Just figure things out myself. Wish there was a little more functionality on it , like assigning multiple fields to a signer at one time. I have come into contact with DocuSign several times and it seems like a great product! From a customer's point of view, it is awesome that I dont have to make an appointment and go in (with my husband) to get documents signed. My husband and I were applying for a car loan through our bank, and we both needed to sign the paper work. However, with my husband's work schedule, it is difficult for him to make it to the bank during normal business hours. So it was a blessing that the bank was able to send us the documents, through DocuSign, and we could sign them from home, even after hours. Also, the whole process is secure so any sensitive information is protected. I have been very impressed with my encounters with Docusign. Cons I haven't actually sent any documents through DocuSign, as I do not own the software. So I can not vouch for how easy or complicated the process is to get the documents ready to send. I can only vouch for the receiving end, where the process of signing and returning documents is extremely easy. Very easy to send to virtually anyone via e-mail. Makes me feel like my documents are securely being reviewed and signed. Very user friendly. Been a wonderful software from day 1! Pros I love that I can send contracts that are customized for all of our different products and it reminds the receiver every day till it is completed and the best part it is automated! Also the ease of usue from a cellphone is a dream. Cons Non tech savvy clients have to be walked through the process bit otherwise I love it. Pros I like that it is easy to drag and drop files in the software and add signatures where needed. Cons It would be nice if it could read where the signature needs to be and just add it there. I've never needed to call customer support, as the product itself is extremely easy. The one caution I have as a mortgage adviser... is to make sure any lenders you're submitting to are willing to accept docusign documents! Pros I like that once the account is setup for any user, it's a matter of click where you want the signature, or click where you need the initials. It's extremely easy to use, and from a beginner to a tech-wizard, I believe this software meets everyone's needs. Cons The hard part isn't really the software itself. The problem becomes when a less techy (or older generational individual) goes to use docusign, and they themselves struggle with sending or receiving a basic email. They need to know up to upload a signature... this can sometimes be tricky. Otherwise, once setup is complete... life is peaches! Review Source FH Felicia H. I've used this when conducting business across the country. I don't have to meet with a client to be able to be able to secure their business contract. It works perfectly for my clients that are far away, and I haven't ever had to resend a contract because an area for a signature was left blank. This saves time, energy, money, and trips. Pros DocuSign is very convenient to use, because you are able to tag the lines exactly where a client needs to sign or initial. This way they know exactly where their signature is needed and you don't have to walk them through highlighted areas or signing by the "x" on the line. Cons The features that I like least about the software is when you push the next button for a client to sign it can skip over several pages of a document. This doesn't allow them to read it before signing. They have to scroll backwards in order to read the document and it can be a little glitchy. Review Source BV Brian V. My company contracts are not as thorough and I need something quicker. Pros Does a great job tracking documents and offers thorough templates. Cons The process has many steps. I prefer a click and done method. I had to go back and forth too many times with the drafting, signing, accepting. It was a bit pricey for the document signing feature. I found a cheaper option. I also like the ability for users to create a free trial as it allows them to send a document one time if they are usually just a user who has a one time need. Pros I really like that Docusign allows you to send to multiple people and that it notifies you as changes occur. This saves me from having to constantly check whether or not my documents have been signed yet. Cons I found that when creating your own form, there are some parts of the software that aren't very user friendly. Pros I love that I can legally sign documents without having to print it out, sign it, and fax it over. It is very easy to use allowing me to sign a document and fill in information without even having to scroll the whole document since it skips to each signing place.
