Overall experience has been terrific. It’s the default app for all PDF type files Pros Very user friendly and easy to learn. Lots of bells and whistles although I seem to only use a handful of the tools on a regular basis. Measurement tool for plans is a must Cons There’s really nothing I don’t like. As a construction professional, this has made navigating drawings a breeze. Cons Their 2018 update sucks. The graphical interface is non existent and it seems like all of the tools are hidden. I don't need any photshop to edit pdfs or picture and it does it all(edit txts and pictures and also cut and delete the content without needing to crop) Cons It is really hard to link the section in drawings into the correct pdf.it needs lots of steps and also extracting the pdfs one by one. I love this software. Recommend it for anyone who needs to do modifications on PDFs. Pros This software makes modifying PDF’s so easy. I love the versatility in what I can do. I can easily modify PDFs-add text,line work, cut and paste from one PDF to another. So much value for the cost. Cons There is a yearly fee to keep software current. It’s a bit expensive. Pros It is easy, powerful, and allows you to be the master of all documentation. PDF to word conversion, drawings tools, measurement tools, scaled take-offs, etc. etc. Very powerful. The creation, modification, and use of the Stamps is another great tool for the contractor. We use Bluebeam to review, mark, and submit 100% of our shop drawings. We then have to digitally stamp each page and being able to change the date and comments in the stamp so quickly is awesome. It integrates well with PROCORE which is an excellent Management Software. The license is transferable between devices so that I can carry my SINGLE license from my work laptop to my home computer very easily by logging in on my license number. Cons Cost could be a factor...although I don't pay the bill at my company so I don't have the answer to the license requirements and costs. That's helpful for people who are only interested in paying for the features they're wanting to use. There's not really a lot that you can't do with the software in regards to creating or modifying PDFs. Overall it's a fantastic alternative to Adobe's Acrobat. Cons While there are robust features in the software, it's often tricky to find them. The menus aren't intuitive, and the support community is often hit-and-miss on helping with exactly what you're trying to accomplish. It excelles where vectors are used in 3D PDFs. As construction begins bluebeam becomes less useful navigating drawing compared to something like PlanGrid. You can’t go wrong if you use both bluebeam for Pre-Con and PlanGrid for Construction. The cost savings compared to some other software is substantial. Pros The interface is intuitive, the support and training is efficient. Updating documents on studio and controlling versions by checking in and checking out. Has all the features of any other PDF writer plus the ability to enter complex formulas similar to excel. If estimating it prints professional reports. Cons Adding tools, fortunately there is an incredible network of folks who make their tools available. Best for reviewing of documents. 6. Updates are available. Cons 1\. There is no option to set the preferred view of a document. Each and every time a new document is opened it goes back to a default view option which is not the continuous view. That's all. I have been learning to do take offs within the software and it has been a help when I am under a crunch and don’t have time to put it back to my take off software.
