### "Bluebeam Revu"

December 5, 2019

3.0

The platform is awesome for day to day use and our go to PDF platform. The batch processing tools are great for users working with multiple page PDF files.

Pros

Ease of use, functionally for a day to day user is fantastic, and the tools available for markups are second to none.

Cons

2018 and 2019 have been pretty rocky releases. 2018 was littered with issues in relation to sheets going blank after sitting idle, stapler needed to be restarted several times, etc. The vision was there but the bugs forced us back to Revu 2017. Upon testing Revu 2019 there seems to be some issues with Bluebeam sessions and projects when users are trying to download pdf's, we won't be deploying 2019 to the office in the near future unfortunately.

### "Bluebeam is quite an easy functional software that doesnt require much knowledge to use. "

February 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

I like the ease of the software. I use it to edit all of my documents easily and with no problems. The beat part is that you don't require much knowledge of the program to be able to use it.

Cons

There are certain limitations to editing on the program. Sometimes the measurements tab doesn't calibrate easily.

### "Powerful yet lightweight"

5.0

Ease of managing 1000's of documents.

Pros

Its ability to manage LARGE sets of PDF's for construction including revisions and linking all callouts and references to the other documents as hyperlinks.

Cons

Very few dislikes that all relate to functions that (according to BlueBeam) are being explored for future releases.

### "The company uses it to review construction drawings and spec sheets"

May 3, 2018

5.0

Pros

Feels like using AutoCAD with the custom stamps and tools we use. The studio session is great for real-time collaboration and red-lining.

Cons

Still takes some getting used to. I don't feel as though I use all of the tools it has to offer. There are still some workflow things that I need to get used to.

### "Best pdf reviewing and editing software"

December 17, 2020

5.0

Pros

This software is the most versatile pdf reviewer and editor software available in the market. The markup features, especially, are useful for reviewing and reading journal papers, shop drawings, and technical reports. The cheaper student version is a cherry on the top for graduate students like me who also take classes and need to take notes on laptops/tablets in the class.

Cons

Some features like text recognition from handwriting need a high-end processor that not all students can afford.

### "PDF editing has never been easier...!!!"

August 8, 2019

5.0

I am using Bluebeam for all my documentation processes.

Pros

I am using Bluebeam for pdf editing work. I have so many details and documents to review and Bluebeam has made my life very easy with all powerful tools and options available within it. It can convert Pdfs into other file formats such as word, excel etc.

Cons

No bad points for Bluebeam. It serves up to the standard. But if it can add the option of printing a larger document in poster mode it would be better.

### "Solution for all levels of users"

January 7, 2020

5.0

Bluebeam is the best PDF software that I have used, it's easy to do basic functions like merge, cut, reduce file size etc. and also has additional functions such as measurement and markups for drawings which we use a lot of in construction.

Pros

Easy to use basic features, lots of extras that may or may not be required. Customizable options boxes and layouts are a nice feature.

Cons

Took a while to customize layout, which options to show/hide. There are a lot of tools (not a bad thing, but overwhelming at first)

### "Bluebeam is an amazing tool for Estimators"

November 2, 2023

5.0

I have been using Bluebeam for 6 months now and it have improved my estimating experience. I can perform accurate take offs of projects 3 times faster than when I was doing it manually. It´s totally worth it if you´re a general contractor and recommended for any other person involved in cost management.

Pros

I like how easy to use is. The interface resembles a pdf reader but it will allow you to annotate, quantify and read drawings in an incredible way. You always need the experience behind the estimation but Bluebeam allows exponential growth

Cons

Bluebeam becomes another fixed cost you need to compensate when you´re creating your estimates. You can absolutely not use it, but if you have 10 or 20 projects to review it´s worth it. For smaller businessess and subcontractors it might not be necessary.

### "Great for estimate take offs"

January 15, 2020

4.0

Powerful tool to manipulate pdf's. Definitely use Bluebeam Revu as the default pdf tool.

Pros

Tool sets make mark up easy. Bluebeam Revu is the best for viewing and manipulating pdf's.

Cons

Sometimes customization is a little cumbersome. The process to make custom symbols and color them can be confusing. I do not like the way the audit trail for markups does not stay on the sheet you are working on. Continually have to navigate back the part of the audit trail for that sheet. Combining documents sometimes does not work. Adobe Acrobat is better for basic combining.

### "a beter alternative to ADOBE"

February 15, 2019

5.0

Anyone using a PDF format will love this software.

Pros

More robust and versatile than ADOBE. We love the ability to mark up PDF's for publication. The measuring tools are accurate for field use on constructions sets. The ability to cut and paste is easier with this product. We find most of our local building code jurisdictions this use software and it makes working with their markups easy.

Cons

I have no dislikes. This is what makes writing a review so easy.

Easy of marking up existing documents, and creating new ones. Very eaqsy to use once you have begun getting past the new user faze.

Pros

Using this program makes it very easy to mark up documents, create easy to read notes/highlights, and create scaled drawings from scratch when necessary.

Cons

The worst part of the overall program is the learning curve. Without an experienced user near at hand to provide assistance, some of the features may be in used by the inexperienced.

### "Bluebeam Review-Long Time User"

July 7, 2020

5.0

My overall experience has been great. I will continue to use it for work and personal use.

Pros

What I like most about Bluebeam is it's versatility. I have used Bluebeam for estimating 6 figure projects, a pdf viewer, and a document editor. I am able to use and even create my own tools and customize them. I Will likely keep using Bluebeam for a very long time for multiple uses.

Cons

There is one difficulty I have run into with Bluebeam, as far as estimating goes. It can be hard to separate out different rooms or buildings into smaller estimates that are part of the larger estimate. So excluding or getting a price for a specific floor of a building. It is possible to do, but can be tedious.

### "A full pack PDF editing software"

August 22, 2019

As a Civil Engineer, it is a complete fulfilment package for my day to day PDF routine. You can do anything for your PDF using Bluebeam beyond the limits.

Pros

As a civil engineer, it is essential for me a powerful PDF editor makes an attractive PDF file and Bluebeam Revu is the best the solution to overcome. \* Text recognition is pretty advanced and super fast. \*Ease of formatting options with a lot of features. \*can add all kind of images and text boxes with the facility of rotating and free sizing. \*The page border, header and footer & page numbering features are really cool.

Cons

It is an advanced PDF reader and editor, but still, there are small things they need to improve for attracting the users, \*The interface is a little bit complex when compared to the other PDF editors(Foxit & Adobe) \*It consumes a little bit time for the initial running \*The performance is not optimized for smoother running \*It is really hard to find new options \*The pricing is too high

### "Extremely simple and useful PDF tool"

December 5, 2016

5.0

This is the only PDF software that our company utilizes. It is setup in a very user friendly manner, and the functionality is through the roof. it is not just a PDF viewer/modifier, but also a useful tool for estimating, takes off and red line drawings.

Pros

Extremely easy to use. The functionality of this software is improved our efficiency and accuracy when it comes to take offs and estimating. The tools for marking drawing changes and red lines are extremely easy to use and useful for keeping a current plan with any changes accurate. The editing features allow for us to call out specific details and shade certain areas to differentiate what we are looking at or phasing a certain project. The online help and information has been wonderful as we dig deeper and deeper into the functions of this software.

Cons

It is setup a little bit more like an app that a typical computer software so there is a small learning curve to overcome when first digging into the layout and setup of the software, but once you know where to find items the work is easy to complete.

### "Great For Drawing And Document Markups"

September 18, 2021

5.0

It’s all I use for pdf files. Even if I don’t need to edit.

Pros

Bluebeam allows us to make edits and updates to drawing pdf files and send to other technicians. The drawing markup symbols available are good and you can creat your own symbols easily. They have tons of free training videos available.

Cons

The tools are all symbols and the hover over to see the text title of each is a pain until you memorize them.

Through the free trial I have tested its functionality, its speed is optimal and it is accessible on any device.

Pros

One advantage is the ability to encrypt documents, providing an additional layer of security. It also integrates with various formats such as CAD, facilitates modifications.

Cons

It does not have the functionality that would allow you to create, modify or edit any original content. In addition, the individual cost is not small.

### "Bluebeam is a powerhouse PDF creator/editor"

April 16, 2018

5.0

Architecture and Engineering firms can benefit from all of the great features integrated into Bluebeam, provided that smaller firms can swallow the initial cost of acquisition and ongoing maintenance.

Pros

Bluebeam is amazing. It has all of the features that draftspersons need to create effective take-offs. It almost has too many features when we first installed the Revu eXtreme software. They have a great support/training system though, and we've now installed this on every company computer.

Cons

It can be a bit cost prohibitive compared to other PDF editors. This is offset by the abundance of features in Bluebeam, however small businesses should ensure that the cost-benefit is worth it to them.

Cons

### "Ease of use"

September 19, 2022

5.0

We save copies of all customer purchase orders to a database. Bluebeam makes it very easy for everyone to see what has been noted on the order before it's saved.

Pros

The product makes it SO easy to add notes to a PDF so that others can view them. The highlight feature is also very useful when you want something to stand out.

Cons

Sometimes the "stapler" function does work. I don't necessarily NEED the stapler function, but the software thinks that I do. It sometimes causes an error box to pop up when I'm not even trying to use it.
