### "Overall, A Great Software Program for Team Collaboration"

April 23, 2026

4.0

Overall, I like using Bluebeam Revu for its ease of use and the many functions that can be done. The only dislike is that when working with larger files, the program occasionally crashes without warning. If this could be resolved, this would be a near perfect program in my opinion.

Pros

I like how much quicker this program can run than when using Adobe. I also like how easy it is to mark up and add comments to drawings and also to create collaborative sessions with other Team members and see comments made in real-time. I also like how easy it is to scale drawing sheets accordingly and to get measurements of floor plans without the need to use a CAD software program.

Cons

What I like least about Bluebeam Revu is that the program occasionally crashes abruptly without notice and I end up losing any unsaved work. I have had the program reinstalled and with the latest updates in hopes that this would fix the issue, but the program still seems to crash without warning. I have noticed this particularly when working with larger files.

For the better collaboration of documents for review than when using Adobe PDF.

### "Powerful and Feature-packed Tool"

March 31, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Bluebeam Revu has been very positive. After getting used to the interface, it became a powerful and efficient tool for working with PDFs. It helped me complete tasks more quickly, especially when it came to annotating documents and collaborating with others. While there is a learning curve at the beginning, the features and productivity benefits make it worth the effort.

Pros

I have been using Bluebeam Revu for a few years now and it's so convenient. What I liked most about Bluebeam Revu is its powerful and precise markup tools, which make it easy to annotate and edit PDFs efficiently. The collaboration features, especially Studio sessions, are also a big advantage because they allow teams to work together in real time. Additionally, the measurement and takeoff tools are very useful for projects, helping save time and improve accuracy.

Cons

What I liked least about Bluebeam Revu is that it can be difficult to learn at first because the interface is packed with features, which can feel overwhelming for new users. I do enjoy all its features I just wish they were organized a bit neater to understand. It can also run a bit slow on older or lower-performance computers.

### "Easy to Use and Flexible for Markups and Takeoffs"

April 20, 2026

4.0

Overall, I have had a positive experience with Bluebeam Revu. Its flexibility is one of its biggest strengths, particularly in allowing users to handle both plan takeoffs and plan markups efficiently. It works well as an all-in-one tool for reviewing, tracking, and managing drawing-related tasks.

Pros

The biggest advantage of Bluebeam Revu is its ease of use. It has a user-friendly interface that makes reviewing plans, creating markups, and coordinating with team members simple and efficient.

Cons

The biggest downside to Bluebeam Revu is the subscription model. The recurring cost can become expensive, particularly for companies that need access for several team members.

### "Bluebeam - The Glue That Binds Us"

March 4, 2026

5.0

I have used Bluebeam since 2017 and within a year, people at my company called me "Bluebeam University". I was the go-to for creating Bluebeam exhibits & markups/quantity takeoffs. When people ask me what programs they need to run a construction business, Bluebeam is easily top 3.

Pros

Bluebeam is the best PDF editor/markup/exhibit creation tool I have ever used. I use it daily and I could not do my job without it.

Cons

I can't think of any right now. Maybe its start up time, but I am a millennial and I have unreasonable demands for technology..

### ""Bluebeam Has Great Features, But Terrible Support – Look Elsewhere"

May 13, 2025

1.0

Been with Bluebeam for 10 years and the product is great however the support is horrible

Cons

"Bluebeam Has Great Features, But Terrible Support – Look Elsewhere" Bluebeam is a powerful tool with strong functionality, but the abysmal level of support makes it nearly unusable for professional workflows. Our company relies on this software for critical projects, yet getting timely or effective help from Bluebeam’s support team is impossible. Ironically, we’d gladly pay more if it meant receiving the level of service required to actually use the product as intended. A few years ago, support was passable—not great, but at least functional. Now, it’s downright negligent. Tickets go unanswered, issues remain unresolved, and the lack of responsiveness has cost us time and money. I no longer recommend Bluebeam to anyone. In fact, I’ve made it a point to warn every director, engineer, and colleague I know to avoid it and explore alternatives. It’s a shame—such a capable product is ruined by a company that refuses to stand behind it with decent customer service.

### "Bluebeam for ultimate collaboration. "

April 9, 2025

5.0

it has been great, it has helped with working from home or working with people in other states, the remote uses have been stellar.

Pros

Love using sessions and seeing mark-ups in real time along with a log of who was working and modifying certain things.

Cons

nothing is super intuitive, it's hard to locate tools by just the icon if you are not sure the exact nomenclature used in naming.

### "Great app for take offs "

April 4, 2025

Really positive - saves time, easy to use, great training facilities

Pros

Take offs - being able to export directly to workflow max for pricing

Cons

The format is not always readily translatable across other software - for example some elements of layers etc can be problematic if opening in Adobe.

### "Take control of your TakeOffs with BlueBeam!"

May 21, 2025

5.0

Excellent - BlueBeam has a fantastic training program to review if you need to, but it's also fairly intuitive. I do recommend going through some of the training though since you're likely only scraping the surface of what BlueBeam can do without doing some training!

Pros

It is daunting at first, but it's quite easy to get accustomed to using! The best feature, however, is the incredibly low price for what you get!

Cons

I don't like the inability to set/save scales on protected documents - I'm not altering the document... I just want to be able to scale it!

### "Electronic mark-ups - no need for hardcopies"

March 31, 2025

4.0

Easy account set up and free onboarding session, with good on-line resources

Pros

Helps our Architectural firm to connect architects by allowing electronic mark-ups to be made easily and resent in real time. The boss uses it on his iPad, so he can mark-up anywhere, anytime, without the need for hardcopies.

Cons

### "Versatile PDF Editor "

October 22, 2024

4.0

Overall experience is good but obviously some functions need to be improved to make it easier and more intuitive to use.

Pros

Very versatile PDF editing software for people to use especially for engineers and architect like me. Love the cut and paste and measuring function of the software

Cons

The shortcut commands of the software are too long and cumbersome to use because most of them require 3 key strokes like measuring requires ‘alt shift L’. Shortcuts should be maximum of 2 key strokes, not 3. Provide autosave function and more videos on how to be an expert user. Provide function to enable users to change small caps into all caps & vice versa without the need to rely on additional plugged in app of another add on software.

### "My Bluebeam Experience"

April 30, 2025

4.0

Overall, once I learned how to navigate the capabilities of Bluebeam, I was able to perform digital takeoffs quickly. Bluebeam’s excellent customer service and how-to videos are great for first time users.

Pros

Bluebeam not only allows you to digitally estimate from your blueprints, it also has a variety of functions that allow you to create and modify pdf files.

Cons

Because Bluebeam has so many great features, trying to learn everything at first was a bit overwhelming.

### "Very Robust PDF viewer"

December 16, 2024

5.0

I've used Bluebeam Revu for a couple of years as a viewer when I haven't had to mark up prints.

Pros

It seems to work with any type of PDF I've thrown at it, with no hanging up, no failure to display objects, no matter how weird or obscure they might be.

Cons

While this is meant to be a viewer rather than an editing tool, competitors do offer slightly more editing functions in their basic entries.

Revu has everything needed for editing, measuring, overlaying and marking up pdfs. Incredible time saver.

Pros

Cons

### "Heavy duty PDF editor"

July 17, 2024

4.0

With a production factor of this software is amazing and that would highly recommend it for anybody who marks up documents as a team especially. I would be cautious the program loses connectivity often enough to where it affected our workflow. Uncertain days nobody in the office. Could do anything for an hour or two because their server is having issues and it would constantly keep disconnecting.

Pros

It completely replaced printing documents for review in our office. I like all the editing capabilities and how well you can have your entire team edit a document live even if they're working remotely. The sessions feature is amazing.

Cons

The worst feature about it is that it is cloud hosted so whenever you lose connection your dot turns red and it's not super noticeable. And if you happen to close the program while it's offline, you lose all your changes.

### "Unlock Documents & Make Estimating a Breeze"

February 13, 2024

5.0

Once you understand how to use bluebeam you will never go back to adobe again! I absolutely love all the extra things that I can do in bluebeam that I cannot in adobe. Being able to use this software for more than just a PDF and for estimating projects has made life way easier and help make sure we are not missing items on the estimates.

Pros

Bluebeam has an amazing customizable tool box which I find the most helpful! There are certain tools I will use over and over again and having this quick popup with all my tools to grab and use saves me so much time. Also, adding pages into a current document is as easy as just dropping into the place where you want it. If you are using bluebeam more for just PDF purposes, this software will do so much more than adobe and give me cleaner documents. I use it alot to make submittals and I need to markup and add/ move pages alot and this makes it the easiest and fastest way for me to do so. I can remove items off the pages and add notes when needed. I can go on about the list of amazing features this offers, like counting how many outlets I need on the plan, or resizing and signing it. Your options here are endless.

Cons

The biggest downside to bluebeam is that it takes time to learn and isn't very user friendly for the average person. Figuring out what each tool does takes some time, and sometimes there are a few you can use for the same thing. Since bluebeam has so many features it can be hard to narrow down or even locate the one you are needing. This is why that custom tool box is so handy.
