Pros

This product has many features for takeoffs and estimating. It can I register with other products such as PDF readers and outlook.

Cons

Some of the counting features are slow and clunky. There is an auto search function for fixture takeoffs, but it takes a very long time to search and does not reliably find every fixture.

Pros

There is a lot you can do with this product. More than I do, but it has more functionality than Adobe DC for measurements and plan manipulation which our project managers do with it.

Cons

It isn’t as easy to use as Adobe Acrobat DC for manipulations of documents when doing or making fillable forms or to make profiles.

Great product. Will always use Bluebeam for all my PDF editing

Pros

Ease of use to markup and edit drawings and documents. It's simplicity allows me to mark up drawings quickly and send to the field.

Cons

Image cropping can be a little tedious when trying to grab the window to crop. It would be nice to have the option to use "bars" on the sides and corners to crop the image.

Pros

Large icons and simple user interface make this program easy for a novice to pick up and start using with minimal training.

Cons

Some functions are a bit difficult to locate and seem out of place. Most standard functions are fine but a couple will take a quick google search or some time spent hunting to locate.

Pros

I liked the most that I am able to visualize drawings with ease. It is very handy and intuitive. It is very useful to work with.

Cons

I haven't found anything wrong with this software, however, there are certain features that could be implemented.

Great for construction use!

Pros

All document storage is in one place and users can be invited to the current set. 3D PDF's from Revit can be added to the document sets. Cost efficient. Unlimited data for cloud storage.

Cons

The only real issue we've run into, other than trying to learn the program which is expected with any new program, is some speed issues. Sometimes the large file sizes hinder the speed of the program. Dependent one what device it is used on.

Bluebeam has many capabilities that other PDF software offers at a much higher price tag. The software is easy to use and allows for modification of multiple files at once.

Cons

Different interface that took a bit to learn as buttons are mostly symbols. Also has slightly less support than Adobe.

Pros

Being able to draw and type notes on top of PDF files or white out sections of text or lines (easily redline drawings to quickly send back edits, etc).

Cons

Size of files that have been drawn on are really large. it's an extra step to compress the file to a more useable size.

I mostly use it as viewer now after the trial version/s as our customer have/use Bluebeam as their plans handling software. Our company decided they did not want to buy it.

Pros

The easiness to navigate between plans pages, the ability to keep track of changes or revisions, as well as to add notes specific to our trade for our filed personnel to follow.

Cons

I can't think of anything I didn't like about its functionality. My superior did not like the cost ratio vs. amount of pages limit within the plans

Excellent.

Pros

what I liked the most about Bluebeam Revu is the ability to coordinate and check the differences between older rev and newer revision drawings, to spot out the differences. this helped us monitor what works were changing and what contractors were claiming for. I recommend this software if you are carrying out coordination work.

Cons

I think that it can be slow sometimes but that might be due to my PC being slow.

Bluebeam Revu is well worth the money for, especially for construction management personnel. It has different profiles which tailor the software to individual users. There are tons of tools available, and it will suit many roles. It also has many add-ins available to it is compatible with many popular software programs.

Cons

Because of the sheer amount of tools available, it can be a bit overwhelming to first get into. But once you do, you will love it.

Great Price, Needs a bit more simplifying when doing certain tasks.

Pros

I like how Blubeam Revu allows you to do all the things you would normally do in say a program like Adobe Reader while at the same time having many more bells and whistles like the ability to mark up a set of drawings as well as perform material take offs.

Cons

Bluebeam Revu can sometimes get complicated because I have noticed that with some tasks, it just seems as though there are just too many steps.

Pros

This software has absolutely simplified the markup and estimation aspects of my job. I can easily and quickly do take offs, cutting my estimating time in half. I'm able to annotate and markup my pdfs while simultaneously looking up product data on the web. All in one program! The vendor has been available and receptive to feedback making the whole process easy.

Cons

The product can be a little bulky. There are so many features that aren't clearly defined that they can be overlooked. I'd like to see more free training on estimating and construction take offs. I'd also like to see the vendor offer more in depth free training.

Had very mixed success with using Adobe for Takeoff. Bluebeam's suit of takeoff tools makes it so much faster to get accurate quantities. The best is the ability to quickly calibrate the scale to accurately measure.

People in my office who use it more than myself love it. They make minor quick changes to drawings and have a log of comments going in the files between them and the client.

Pros

There's a ton of features you can do within the software compared to competitors and it is very easy to use.

Cons

I don't really have anything bad to say about it although, I was hesitant to buy it at first because I wasn't sure if I would use alot of it's features.
