### "Great Product!"

August 28, 2020

5.0

This product has been an essential tool at my current and previous companies.

Pros

I find the software very easy to use. There are a lot of useful features that allow for flexibility and clarity when marking up documents. The sessions has allowed for collaboration across various companies/teams on numerous projects. Great customer support!

Cons

The only features I find to be missing are present in the upgraded version of this software (Bluebeam Extreme). The highlight feature could use some work as it is difficult to highlight one word on a drawing without it trying to highlight all text on the drawing. It can be a little slow and buggy from time to time, but this is usually fixed in the updates.

### "I regularly use Bluebeam Revu to work with PDFs"

July 16, 2018

5.0

I can do a lot more with PDFs - things that are more difficult to do using Adobe Acrobat.

Pros

It has a lot of functionality, and the interface, once you get used to it, is easy and intuitive. It can do quite a bit, and with ease. I modify PDFs, delete, add pages, and combine PDFs. The ability to reduce resolution on a large PDF is very useful.

Cons

I wish it was easier to zoom/scroll using the mouse wheel than having to click a zoom button. Other than that, the program's interface is well laid out and it offers mostly everything that I need.

### "BlueBeam for estimating"

November 2, 2018

5.0

We use this product to do take offs, highlight areas of the drawings to help identify scopes. We also add photos to drawings by PDFing them and adding them to the drawing package.

Pros

It is easy to scale the measurement tool for any drawing. We also use it to white out old drawings so its easier to make notes.

Cons

I love this product, so cons are pretty minimal..

### "Essential Document Software for Architects"

February 6, 2022

5.0

Pros

We love how easy it is to organize documents, update redlines, and use helpful tools to measure scaled drawings or edit drawings live. We use this software during zoom meetings to mark up document on the fly and it makes our clients very happy to see us editing per their comments.

Cons

It can be a bit clunky when you don’t know all of its capabilities. There are so many tools that can be used that the tool bar can be confusing to utilize. Some of the toolbars are organized strangely as well which makes it harder to remember where you found a cool feature.

### "Bluebeam is so more than just a PDF reader, has multiple features. "

August 7, 2018

4.0

Pros

Bluebeam helps in adding mark ups to documents, can create layers, teams can collaborate using the Studio feature on the same document at the same time. Bluebeam has the ability to measure lengths, areas if it calibrated as per the scale. It can search a phrase or a character or a word at all instances with the search feature. Drawing sheets can be overlayed for comparison. Overall its a very powerful tool.

Cons

Its a user friendly software, but needs quick tips guide within the software for new users.

### "Bluebean Revu makes sense for document review and co-ordination"

March 31, 2021

5.0

My role as Services Manager I am required to review drawings, plans, schematics, schedules and Bluebeam is the ideal tool. After using a few other PDF editing software, Bluebeam was the natural engineering choice.

Pros

The software is almost a PDF version of Autocad. Allowing quick and simple sketches or complex schematics using various toolbox sets of valves, switches, icons for use in drawings. Ideal tool for a review or initial sketchplan. The feture of overlaying multiple plans and redlining changes is also fantastic.

Cons

Not having it at home on my personal PC. After using at work on my laptop I have need for this also on my home machine. Investment coming shortly.

A tool that is used on a daily basis by the team for collaboration with ease of tracking

Pros

The most used feature is the team collaboration in a live document mark-up, it ensures the work/tasks get completed. It is user-friendly and customizing is very easy

Cons

An app or link that could be used on a cell phone when on site for quick mark-ups

Reason for choosing Bluebeam Revu

I have used this software for years and it is my go to for reviewing and marking up documents.

### "Edit function is not user-friendly."

January 13, 2023

4.0

I'm satisfied with pdf convert function and mersing function, but not so satisfied with editing function.

Pros

We can easily convert excel and word files to PDF. And also, we can merge several pdf files into one file by this software. This function is very helpful for us.

Cons

Edit function is not user-friendly. We can edit a text by using this software, but it is not userfriendly. Some practice is required to edit something smoothly.

### "Best PDF Editing/Reviewing Tool for Construction"

September 24, 2018

5.0

Great option for our company as a whole. Eliminates the need to train employees on multiple platforms, streamlines operations.

Pros

This is a great suite allowing a professional to review submittals, documents and make secured signatures without needing to purchase several pieces of software.

Cons

The newest version of the software changes the platform radically. They say its more efficient, but i'm not so sure. Buttons are in odd places and you no longer have the blue "tab" to quickly load in/out the side and bottom controls.

### "FINALLY a document tool for AEC by AEC professionals"

January 18, 2018

5.0

The developers really do care about and understand the AEC industry, and have made a tool that's immediately relevant to every company's workflow.

Pros

Bluebeam has instantly become a staple for us in our daily workflows. It's more than a PDF reader; it's a building design documentation tool. We utilize markups, calculations, and the highly-collaborative Studio for CDE, checkin/outs, etc.

Cons

Not directly integrated with authoring software. It would be helpful if the markups and calculations directly translated to/from Bluebeam.

### "Huge time saver"

January 17, 2018

5.0

Time saving working with PDFs. Bring together people to allow design reviews across different locations and different platforms.

Pros

Bluebeam is an amazing software platform for users in the AEC field. I use it daily to mark up drawings and make presentation materials. Setting up design review sessions could be easier and allows anyone to go in and makeup design drawings. It doesn't matter if people use Apple, Microsoft, desktops, laptops, and even Ipads. It is much faster and easier to use the Acrobat. I find new tools to use in it all the time.

Cons

There are so many features I wish there were more training and "how tos". I know there are more features that I could be using.

### "Best PDF software"

September 17, 2020

5.0

Very happy with Bluebeam. It makes a huge difference in efficiency and collaboration in my field.

Pros

Bluebeam makes collaboration so easy, with studio sessions that can show you in real time who is working on what and show history of edits, it makes collaborating with colleagues during the pandemic very efficient. It also comes with a lot of preloaded architectural symbols, which makes document editing much faster and easier.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this software, however it can be a bit overwhelming when you first use it just because of all the features that set it apart from other pdf writer softwares that are much simpler.

### "BlueBeam Review"

January 12, 2021

Markups of documents for red lines and revisions. Calculation area/volume/length of certain items in drawings for use in construction planning and estimating

Pros

Excellent document markup interface, accurate measuring tools for estimating, OCR fairly accurate and tracking of markups

Cons

When integrated with InEight Documents, the time for opening and saving documents is extended. No notification when emailing document if the document is too large. When using print to bluebeam, characters and whole words are not transferred to the Bluebeam version of the document.

### "Easy to get into, does most everything I've needed it to"

December 19, 2022

5.0

Overall very happy with it. I plan to use Bluebeam for the foreseeable future and have no significant complaints.

Pros

Going through and drafting reports is a very clean process and with practice, it can be extremely efficient and streamlined. I've mainly used Bluebeam for basic drafting, and all of the construction details I've had to mock up have been easy to create. I moved over from Autocad and the switch was pretty easy to make as Bluebeam has been pretty intuitive for me. My laptop also appears to run Bluebeam better than Autocad, but that could be somewhat subjective.

Cons

There isn't as much of a support network (reviews, forum based support/troubleshooting) around Bluebeam like there is Autocad, but the userbase for Autocad is much larger, so some discrepancy is to be expected.

### "Dynamite for architectural fields"

September 7, 2018

5.0

We use Revu to edit and compile PDFs, as well as review PDFs from consultants and measure existing drawings.

Pros

This program is great, it has a ton of features that are especially well suited for the architectural and construction administration fields. Marking up drawings and measuring existing drawings is really easy. I love the cloud aspect and the ability to collaborate on live drawings.

Cons

There are a couple of tiers of software and I wish that the ability to create forms was baked into Revu.

### "Bluebeam Revu Review"

June 23, 2021

5.0

It has been great addition because I was using Adobe previously and it was not as easy to make the revisions or combining of files as it is on Bluebeam

Pros

It is really easy to edit documents and add mark-ups within the Revu system. This can be adding other documents, combining, text call outs, highlighting and even editing text within the system.

Cons

The software has a hard time exporting to Word or Excel. It gives the option for this, but once it is done, the Excel/Word file do not remain in the same format.

### "Bluebeam is best for viewing and printing drawings!"

June 7, 2017

5.0

Making my job easier as a Project Assistant.

Pros

The application is very user friendly. It is easy to make editing changes to a PDF. It can also be used to make changes and/or additions to a PDF. I prefer Bluebeam to Adobe software. I would have loved to attend the annual seminar in California, but it didn't happen. I even wanted to use my own airfare to get there.

Cons

Probably the ability to view DWGs. There isn't too much that I would nail down as not liking about Bluebeam.

My overall experience has been very enjoyable and extremely good for marking up drawings and highlighting things to team members and client

Pros

My favourite feature of the software is the ability to mark-up drawings in a very clear manner to be able to communicate effectively. The drawing overlay feature is also very good and easy to use.

Cons

In all honesty there is nothing I dislike about this software. It is my favourite PDF software for construction

### "Can’t work without it"

January 18, 2019

5.0

Been using Bluebeam for about 5 years now and each year for different reasons, tasks etc I honestly cannot work without it now! It’s a caveat in any hiring negotiations lol

Pros

It’s amazing The options, custom tool chests, and extensive measuring tools make light work of any type of estimating

Cons

Not getting to know the program fully before using it There are so many features that I found myself redoing things or setting a default unintentionally Spend time in the front end and get a little familiar..

### "The software I never knew I needed"

February 1, 2017

5.0

I'm speaking of Revu primarily from a project engineer perspective, working with multi-discipline teams located across the country. Anytime we used to receive a submittal or RFI that requires multi-discipline coordination, you could guarantee that it would be weeks before it was returned. The typical workflow was that only one person had the file at a time, a check-out/check-in kind of system. It would work its way down the chain until all disciplines had a chance to review. For example, an elevator submittal would have to go through Arch to ensure finishes/layout, structural to approve supports and angles, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection for power, machinery, equipment, and sprinklers. By the time each person had a moment to review the submittal, a month could have easily gone by. Then came Bluebeam Revu. All of a sudden I had the ability to create these studio sessions...what a godsend. In an industry where lead times are everything, getting submittal/RFIs back quickly is of paramount importance. So we created accounts for all of our team members and now anytime I receive a submittal that requires multi-discipline coordination, I create a Bluebeam Session with the file uploaded to it. I add all the team members that need to review it to the session and sit back and watch the show. We typically schedule a 1-hour review block where all team members hop onto the session and a conference call and we all review the file CONCURRENTLY. The beauty of Bluebeam software is all the included tools for markups and dimensioning which come absolutely FREE in the "reader" version Bluebeam Vu. So while I pay for my Revu license, all my team members get to access the studio session from a reader they can install for free on their personal computers at home. All markups are tracked by Bluebeam and an ID is attached to each markup so that I can identify who wrote what. It's amazing software. What used to take weeks of being stuck in the pipeline, now gets turned around in a day or two. In addition to sessions, I also take advantage of creating sets for my design team and keep track of all revisions using Bluebeam Revu's smart tagging and revision tracking. Add to that Bluebeam's integration with software like ProjectWise, Outlook, and all Autodesk software, and you've got a serious workhorse on your hands. Revu is more than a simple PDF editor, it is an invaluable tool in the design-construction world. It

great software to do team work, has the option of personalize the interface, fast and easy to use. All in one.

Pros

This software makes easier the collaborative work with the option to start a session online. It has a lot of different tools, so we can draw, write comments, redline and more.

Cons

It's difficult to write about bad features because i had a really good experience using Bluebeam, in the company we use it everyday.

### "Bluebeam Revu has helped in many ways to streamline common tasks in our Architectural office."

March 2, 2018

5.0

Pros

The ability to host a set of documents on the cloud with bluebeam studio and have multiple people simultaneously access and edit the document is invaluable to our current workflow. Features like document hyperlinks has also shaved valuable time off of everyday tasks.

Cons

I dislike that an upgraded license to Bluebeam Extreme is required to create and edit pdf forms, this is a valuable feature to have but not justified by the extra price of upgrading.

### "Bluebeam Review"

January 29, 2021

5.0

Excellent experience. I would not want to use any other PDF or plan review software.

Pros

Ease of use, similarity to design software navigation. Simple to modify and add notes on PDF's. Simple to markup for other uses, and easy to use toolbox for marking up drawings. Easy to convert a table to a usable Excel table for business use.

Cons

Difficult to use studio. It takes a fair amount of time to set up, and it is not very intuitive, like the rest of the program features.

### "The best application for team annotation of PDFs"

March 20, 2018

5.0

Pros

All of our team members can annotate our PDFs at any time and from anywhere. Annotation sessions can be controlled by the session owner. And every annotation and activity by participants is logged. Then as annotations are processed, the status of each one can be tracked independently.

Cons

There is no iPhone application, but there is an iPad app that is very good. Would be great if this application ran on the Microsoft Surface Hub as well.

### "Expensive but great for editing pdf documents"

June 20, 2019

5.0

Bluebeam Revu is great for creating pdf's, marking up existing pdf's, and for gathering material quantities from construction floorplans. We use it to calculate items such as drywall, trim, paint, tile, etc. It is easy to use (especially the previous versions) and gives users the flexibility to create professional documents.

Pros

I use this for renovation projects and editing presentations to show clients that look professional. I also love how easy it is to create documents for social media posts for our business. We love the hatch feature, allowing us to create custom patterns to apply to floorplans and our team uses it for estimating accurate construction material take-offs.

Cons

It is expensive and the pricing is in American so it adds up quick for us Canadians! Also, the newer versions are harder to navigate - so many bells and whistles! Unfortunately, it isn't as compatible with Mac laptops.
