Pros: I used to do full-time social media management and was using Hootsuite constantly to schedule posts for my clients and track social conversations and mentions in real time. I love how simple and easy it is to use - you'd never think multiple columns across your screen would work or keep you sane... but it gets the job done! I can easily respond to people, retweet it, flag it and more. Another awesome think I love about Hootsuite is the ability you have to help gather content. I was constantly looking for things to retweet to get engaged with others online, so I used one of my columns to track particular keywords. I could then get real-time tweets and posts from people talking about the topics I wanted to engage with and retweet for the brands I was managing. Honestly that made my job 100x easier!

Cons: I do know it has been a little clunky for me in the past. Sometimes keyword columns won't update and I've had to delete and recreate the search - or I would schedule posts and the photos wouldn't go out. I think they have fixed some of these issues over the years. There is also a maximum number of columns you can create in the free version, so I sometimes ran into issues where I wanted to use more features but couldn't. But, overall, I appreciate the value I got for the $$.

Overall: I saved ENORMOUS amounts of time with Hootsuite. I can't imagine doing all that it helped me do manually... from monitoring comments, to responding to people, to scheduling multiple posts a week on multiple platforms per week, to everything in between. Hootsuite really helped me streamline my job even when we had limited budgets and resources to do anything else.

Great tool, but feels like it could still do with something extra - better planning, more LinkedIn features

Comments: It might feel like it's missing a few extras, but generally its a really useful platform and out social media activity has been much better in terms or both organisation and analytics. There's also a massive community for Hootsuite so you can always find out how other people are using it. We used a Meltwater before and it was so scientific and clunky to set up we never ended up using it. We use Hootsuite daily now and the ability to shorten links is also really helpful.

Pros: Really easy to use and so many resources. The platform is brilliant for scheduling and you don't even have to visit the other social platforms to post and engage with the audience. You can really customise the streams for each user which is great for productivity, and the analytics is really useful. As a manager, I only have to hop into the publisher section to see what posts are going out, how often we're posting, and what platform we're using most. Using the streams, I can set up one for all posts to check consistency and monitor engagement, one for competitor research, and one for searches, and then more platform specific streams so I can really dive into the nitty-gritty if I need to.

Cons: It's very Twitter orientated, most of the useful streams like monitoring topical conversations etc are in Twitter (probably by nature of the Twitter platform), but I would like to see more feature on LinkedIn - so far there's only TWO streams; one to monitor Company Updates, and second to monitor scheduled posts (I can see this in the publisher planner anyway). It would be good to see similar monitoring streams for Hashtag conversations because this feature is applicable in LinkedIn as well as Twitter. The Publisher also feels like it's just missing something and I think it's the ability to 'plot' in posts rather than drafting out complete posts. For example when we're planning what activity we want to launch, we might not know what the full post is going to look like, but we might just want to plot in ideas which at the moment we have to do on a spreadsheet and then translate over to the Hootsuite publisher. It would be good to see this feature in the planner where we can plot ideas, and then fully draft them out later.

Pros: As a Hootsuite user for 7 years now, it is by far my favorite social media management software. Creating, optimizing, and posting social media for different platforms, etc. takes a lot more time than you would expect. Not only do you have to craft each post to fit each platform you're posting to you have to choose the best time, use the right hashtags, shorten URLS, and include something interesting (i.e. picture, video, content). Overall, what many believe will only take them 10 minutes, in reality it can take up 2-5 (or more) hours of your work week; even more when you include the content creation for the actual posting. Hootsuite is the best tool for compiling all your social media efforts into one dashboard you can work from and will definitely knock hours off your work week. PROS The best feature of Hootsuite is the time you will gain. Most social media platforms have a scheduling aspect to them but having to manually log in and out of each one, to do so, is not feasible or conducive for speed. Hootsuite provides you with analytics on each of your chosen platforms, located in its dashboard, to help you identify the most optimal time(s) to schedule each post to be sent out; this especially comes in handy for days you know you will be on the go and/or do not have access to technology. You can also scroll through past social media posts, save unfinished drafts, and boost posts for content promos; which will provide you with more insight and/or a better understanding of which of your efforts and/or CTA's are working best. Hootsuite's platform has various analytics and reports you can export so your team(s) can measure things like conversion rates, marketing and sales initiatives, and improvements in monthly social capital. One of the neat things about this platform is the option to purchase additional social media management applications for things like YouTube Analytics and video posting, Wordpress blog analytics and posting, Google Analytics, etc. Hootsuite also provides the option to export reports (including customized reports) on any of the platforms connected to your account, to measure competition, areas of improvement, click stats, and which platform is bringing in the largest amount of traffic to your website/content, etc. Because the company I work for uses another third-party application (Lead Liaison) to track visitors and traffic sources to our website, we use the free version of Hootsuite.

Cons: One of the cons of Hootsuite is its inability to detect whether or not your traffic is originating from an actual human or an automated bot. This can interfere with your data and make it hard to decipher if the data you have access to is valid or not; this is true for Google Analytics as well. To avoid this, we use a third-party application for visitor tracking (Lead Liaison). You may get notifications that your social network(s) have been disconnected from your dashboard; don't worry, you simply just have to reconnect them. Although I am not sure why this happens so often, I trust that this has nothing to do the security of my account and I always receive notifications when I sign in to my account from a new device, etc.

Pros: It is one of the simplest Social media managers in the market, the freeplan is great because it provides essential features for beginners and experts at no cost. I also like the mini tutorial for new users, at the right side of the dashboard.

I personally use Tweetdeck for social listening on Twitter but Hootsuite is also great for that.

Cons: I dont like the fact that if i want to schedule a post with multiple images i'll have to schedule it directly on Facebook or on Tweetdeck for twitter.

Overall: Hootsuite and Buffer are my go to social media, despite the several other SM Managers that I've tried out. I work with 5 brands and I have to manage their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)

I've been using Hootsuite (and Buffer) for three years but of the two Hootsuite is my favorite and my safe bet. I have a habit of testing out as many free marketing software's as I can find and in terms of social media marketing Hootsuite is the best. The interface is easy to use, and the tutorial available to each new signup is very helpful.

I love being able to tag a Facebook page, Twitter profile or Instagram profile in a post. The android app is also fully functional on my Kindle Fire (Unlike Buffer) which is a plus.

The Feedly> Hootsuite integration is a major plus, I've never used the Hootsuite RSS feed option even though I keep planning to, but I like being able to share informative posts from feedly (On my Kindle Fire) to Hootsuite.

What I love the best is that the free plan unlike buffer lets you schedule as many posts as you want to 3 social media profiles. This is great because I can schedule a month worth of social media posts in three days unlike the 10 posts per profile restriction on the Buffer's free plan.

The analytics reports aren't very detailed and often I rely on Start a Fire as well as a variety of other software's to get in-depth analytics but the brands I work with do not understand or see the need for in-depth analysis so I suppose it's okay.

I'm not happy that Hootsuite doesn't support posts with multiple images, I learnt that the awkward way when I made a post with 3 pictures.

I recommend Hootsuite for beginners and Individuals who want a simple, straight forward social media manager. Oh, and the Hootsuite academy is very insightful.

Perfect for individuals, business and agencies alike!

Pros: As a marketeer, I was lucky enough to try a few different social media management platforms. Personally, Hootsuite has always been one of my favorites. The platform is quite easy to use, and setup. The interface is quite intuitive and on boarding new members normally takes us a few minutes. We easily managed multiple accounts and switched between them in single clicks. The mini profile icons helped our team differentiate between our different clients, so we had a smaller number of mistakes. But that's not all! Team collaboration is superb once you establish a professional account. Content review and approvals that is easy to set up. You can review comments and replies and assign them to other users, and even leaves comments and notes for them. You can review other users performance and get full reports on their work.

Cons: Reporting is weak compared to other tools. And while I enjoy their pre-designed scheduled reports, I normally end up creating my own reports using other analytics tools that are more robust and provide more in-depth insights. While i enjoy setting up multiple topic columns to monitor, extracting the data is impossible and you will always need a listening tool to create monitoring and listening reports. I was on an older pricing plan for awhile now, but when I checked recently, they seem to have increased their pricing and are now quite pricey compared to some of the competing platforms, however, I still have a soft spot for them.

Pros: If I had to pick a favorite, I would say that the scheduling feature is extraordinarily helpful. I run a small digital marketing firm and handle the social media for almost all of my clients. I created separate accounts for each client to keep my own costs down, so I will simply schedule out 30 posts at a time and set a memo for myself to post more before the campaign ends.

After that, I love the plugins and tools, especially the ones that allow you to curate content that is relevant to the industry of my clients (Mostly cleaning, software, and daycares). I can set up an RSS feed that posts at regular intervals in case I am late on posting.

Finally, the photo editor - I like this because I post a ton of pictures for my clients, which means that I need the images to fit well on different networks. The photo editor allows me to play with the size right in the app until it fits properly, which takes a lot of guesswork out when trying to edit for size rather than picture quality.

Cons: Honestly, I have used multiple different scheduling software for social media - Hootsuite is by far my favorite because it is so feature rich. If I had one complaint, it would actually be the cost. If you are trying to use one platform for all clients or have more than 3 social accounts per client, Hootsuite can get pretty pricey, especially for a smaller startup without much capital while they are growing.

Overall: My company uses Hootsuite to schedule social media for our clients. If I were trying to post multiple times a day for each client through the individual accounts, I would never do anything else. So, Hootsuite helps me set up a social media and content schedule that is unique to each business while leaving room for me to add content as I go throughout my other daily tasks. It streamlines and automates a task that would otherwise take up all of my time.

Pros: Hootsuite is one of the most versatile tools out there in the market. Starting from its free package, you will find yourself covering all the essentials you need for your day to day operations when it comes to social media. The columns/tabs interface is what sold the product to our team compared to all the other competitors we tried. In addition, the ability to connect multiple profiles, create columns to listen to important topics and team communications and messaging (paid feature). The free plan also allows you to schedule up to 30 posts, and if you need more, upgrading to any of their paid plans is as cheap. As we had many clients to handle and our team required a lot of collaboration, we were under the team plan. it was easy to setup an automated monthly report that goes to the client, which saved us tons of time, and the team collaboration features allowed us to assign the right roles and exchange messages, assign tasks and customer inquiries (tweets and comments) to one another with ease.

Cons: While Hootsuite covers the essentials you might need for your day to day social media, it lacks much in-depth analysis, listening and reporting features. In addition, it does not have cross-platform profiling and does not have features to help you setup competitions or gather/mine data easily.

Pros: Make no mistake about it; when it comes to getting your social media work done, Hootsuite will deliver. Its scheduling feature is great, it (mostly) does a good job of letting you tag things, and it offers a good suite of analytics features that will help you review your social media performance and deliver key insights to other members of your organization.

Cons: My issues with Hootsuite aren't dealbreakers, but they do make me less than enthusiastic about bringing my business to this platform. The UI just isn't very attractive or intuitive, which is a shame. Competitors offer much more modern looks and simpler posting functionality than you get with Hootsuite. Annoyingly, and I know this isn't Hootsuite's fault, there are issues relating to who you are able to tag on certain networks, like LinkedIn. I often find myself unable to schedule a post to LinkedIn because of who I need to tag, and having to post manually defeats the purpose of having Hootsuite in the first place. I do understand that this is an issue created by the social networks themselves, but it's an annoyance nonetheless.

Overall: I manage a number of social media accounts for an international software company, and am also tasked with monitoring social mentions for our brand. For all my (relatively minor) issues with Hootsuite, it certainly lets me get the job done. On the level of features, I think Hootsuite is near the top of the heap as far as most social media management platforms go. Just don't expect the prettiest packaging, best user experience, or to be able to fully schedule your social activity in advance on some networks.

Comments: If you manage multiple social media pages for an organization or business, this is a great tool that will make your life so much easier and save you a lot of time!

Pros: Hootsuite is a great timesaver. I love that as I'm setting up social media posts for the week, I can schedule posts across multiple platforms at the same time, and be able to further tailor them to the character of each platform (Facebook post vs. Twitter post) all from the same site. I also really appreciate how you can add or remove different "streams" from your viewing page for each social media platform. For instance, on my Facebook tab in Hootsuite, I have my page's scheduled posts in one column, our already published posts in the next column, and our inbox messages in another. For Twitter, though, I have my page's tweets in one column, our other newsfeed tweets in another (which I can retweet, reply to, and like all from that column in Hootsuite!), our mentions in a third column, and our direct messages in another.

Cons: Overall, Hootsuite is great, but there are a couple of things that bother me from time to time. When scheduling Facebook posts with multiple photo attachments, I've found that Hootsuite will publish each photo as a separate post, but with the same text each time, instead of including all the images in one post. This means that in these cases, I always have to go to Facebook's page to schedule posts with multiple images instead of being able to do it from Hootsuite. It's not something I have to do very often (typically, I only include one image with a post), but it's annoying nevertheless. I've also occasionally had Hootsuite incorrectly block me from being able to schedule my posts because it's internal clock is off and says that my posts (which I'm trying to schedule for several days away) aren't being scheduled for more than 5 minutes in the future.

Pros: Benefits of Hootsuite for agencies:

1. Super easy to manage multiple networks for multiple clients, and all in one or two clicks once you've completed set-up

2. Easy to collaborate, which is key for agency happiness; you can assign tasks and monitor the progress of those assignments

3. Viewing scheduled content for single accounts or multiple accounts is possible, even across clients, which is a big plus

4. They do have a content approval process that you can set up at their highest level which is pretty good, not the best out there, but more than most other management platforms offer

5. They have a LOT of plug-ins for their platform, which is awesome, including Slack, Wordpress and several other big ones that agencies might use or find helpful

6. They stay ahead of opportunities and have the first collaborations with the key social networks, like Instagram publishing, they were the first there

Cons: On the negative side:

1. You can only have like 7 streams in each tab, which seems like a lot, but it's not enough. I feel like there should not be a limit within each tab

2. They are expensive, in my opinion; they do compare with Sprout Social and some others, but I think they are all on the pricey side

3. Not their fault, but you now have to go direct to IG and FB for some things like checking private messages or for IG even commenting on others content is no longer available; this makes paying the higher price less desirable because now you are having to go back to managing the channels directly AND managing them via Hootsuite

Pros: Being able to measure my or my business's social media stats is super important, naturally. That data is presented to us in a way that helps us to very easily understand not just how many people are engaging with our social media posts and when, but HOW that's happening, period. Which type of posts generate the most site traffic? What time of day or night might our posts be the most or least popular or engaging? How long does it take me or my team to respond to posts? These are important things to know, as they have the potential the build up or break down our brands.

Scheduling content is, of course, a huge plus when you've got 10, 12, 15 different posts across multiple platforms to help keep your audience involved and engaged in what you're doing. It's also super helpful for people and businesses that are very busy outside of their online content, and may not have a dedicated social media team to lighten the load.

Cons: The Android app can be very slow to load at times. It could be just me, but I'm usually on wifi and have a flagship Samsung that hit the market a year ago. It also gives me trouble sometimes when I'm posting to Instagram via Hootsuite and I check my posts via the actual Instagram app, and the Hootsuite Instagram post won't be there. Weird stuff. I should add that in these instances, I am using the 'Post Now' option, and not scheduling posts for a future time. Could be user error, but if it is, I think this may suggest that when it comes to posting to Instagram through Hootsuite, the process isn't as easy or straight-forward as it could or should be.

Pros: What I like most about Hootsuite is that it tackels both monitoring and management in one simple interface. It's got good simplicity of the function once you're familiar with it. If you walked into someone else's Hootstuite screen you'd probably be confused for a minute or two, but if you are setting up your own social media management routine, Hootsuite guides you through all the steps for posting and monitoring - what you end up with (unless you add way too many things) is a good overview of your social media territory that includes the ability for you to reply in real-time or schedule in advance. The ability to build your own tabbed pages with your own selection of what you choose to see makes this tool one of my preferred apps for helping new businesses manage and monitor their own social media accounts because once I show someone how to lay out the information in a way they need, they find it pretty easy to move on to other views on their own. Before long, they are using it themselves to schedule posts.

Cons: I started using Hootsuite back in the old days when it was a totally free tool so I guess what I dislike about it most is that I think the free version's limit of three social accounts is too small for a small business to manage all the social interaction they should be managing.

Overall: Overall I really like Hootsuite - the interface is clean and it's easy to find what you need once you figure out what all the icons mean. Their connections to the major social platforms are almost always up and functional. I have very few problems with this platform, so I consider it reliable.

Pros: There are just too many social channels to maintain (company branding, marketing, communications, sales, and support uses). HootSuite simplifies the management of these social channels to save our Social Media Manager (and staff) a lot of time updating the profiles, posts, shares, photos... etc.

Analytics! Numbers to back up any of our social media efforts are crucial for calculating ROI and supporting our request for management funding. The graphs and reporting features are intuitive, with just one glance one can analyze the performance, track customers / clients that need attention, and see which campaigns are doing well (and those that are not).

The Dashboard presents you a complete set of social media tools (all major social media channels supported). This is really worth it in this millennial digital era!

Cons: Don't be too easily swayed by the initial asking price... you'd eventually realize that for additional power-ups/extras you will have to shell out the additional payment (which eventually add up).

Also, just one comment on the UI... it seems pretty outdated in terms of looks which might turn off some users who are aesthetically sensitive (like myself). :)

Overall: Social Media presence is important in this millennial age. HootSuite makes managing your social presence (profile, posts, shares, etc) a breeze and streamlined across all major social media channels.

Pros: It is a software that is very easy to use and is useful all the time. I make many publications in real time on various social media platforms and before that I would have to have more than 5 tabs open to access each social media account. It is extremely functional, efficient and changed the way I viewed social networks, so my point of view is much more focused on my own organization and its objectives. Scheduling publications in advance is a great time saver. The report panels are fantastic to show customers the value of the social. I also love the functions to track a hashtag in a separate transmission , Another opinion that I like about the Hootsuite software is an accurate team of reports and analysis and fast customer support.

Cons: Programming my first social publications as the first time counter became instantly difficult because I did not have the opportunity to do any kind of tutorial. The initial stages were really just me guessing how to program things.

Overall: With Hootsuite, we can program it and not have to worry about it being published in a timely manner. It is also great to re-analyze the analyzes over time to see what types of content and what times of day work best for our company and the commitment of our audience.

Pros: Hootsuite makes social media much easier by pulling all the platforms into one place. Rather than logging in to 5 different platforms, you can log into one, and manage them all from one screen. It also helps you keep track of your users/followers and the activities you're producing. We're also fans of being able to schedule posts for future dates, which means we can schedule a week's worth of activity in one sitting rather than logging in every day and working from scratch.

Cons: We've found some connectivity problems with Hootsuite, which is frustrating since that's the main function of the platform. We're often having to reconnect accounts or finding that a post didn't go through because the account disconnected beforehand. While it still makes it easier than logging in to the platform's individually, it is problematic to have disconnected accounts too frequently.

Overall: We've enjoyed Hootsuite for the most part, and it really does take a lot of the pain out of social media management. Being able to schedule posts is by far the best feature, since it saves a lot of time and energy by being able to set up several days' worth of posts all at once. Connectivity is an issue for us, but overall, we would recommend this product for both large and small companies.

Pros: Hootsuite is similar to its main competitor, Tweetdeck, in that you can have multiple channels running at once on different subjects or hashtags. However, it was unrivaled in its ability to connect more types of social media networks than other platforms, so an editor could be monitoring not just 5-10 different social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more, but could be pre-scheduling, editing, monitoring teasers and competition much more easily.

Cons: For several years, Hootsuite was unable to integrate creating organic Instagram posts within Hootsuite, and that grew very annoying, as one would have to create the post on another social media management platform and then edit and schedule within Hootsuite. Since Facebook bought Instagram, though, workarounds have made this much easier.

Overall: After fixing Instagram issues, I can honestly say that Hootsuite is still one of the top social management tools one can use, especially smaller community papers who can't afford to buy higher-level social media management programs. Even if you're working for a bigger news company, the Hootsuite app is so easy to navigate compared to competitors' in a way that makes you keeping using Hootsuite even if you have paid company access to other programs.

Pros: Hootsuite enables users to manage all of their social media channels in one place. Hootsuite was one of the first to offer this functionality and has grown to be one of the top social media publishing integration platforms. Hootsuite is easy to use. Users write messages, select targeted social media channels, and publish. This functionality saves a lot of time by not having to log into each social media account and publish messages individually. Hootsuite also enables you to engage your audience by responding to questions, comments, and likes. Users can also schedule content to be published at certain dates and times. The Hootsuite dashboard can be organized easily by adding tabs for various social accounts and information. Finally, Hootsuite provides analytics that provides valuable insights into the performance of your social media messaging success. Hootsuite provides very good resources and training.

Cons: Hootsuite offers a free plan to get you started that supports three social media accounts. Of course, once you engage social media fully these accounts will grow past three and you will need to purchase one of their professional plans. These plans can get expensive based on the amount of users you require to manage your social media presence. Hootsuite offers a lot of features. You may not need or use them all. There are a number of alternative tools available that offer similar features for less cost.

Overall: Hootsuite delivers a very good all-in-one social media platform. The tool is trusted by many individuals and organizations and Hootsuite provides very good resources and training.

Pros: Hootsuite makes creating posts once and sending to multiple social media sites a breeze! Scheduling and attaching files is also easy. I wouldn't do them much justice if I also didn't add that the mobile app is just as easy as the web version! Setting permissions based on other users is a great function for teams where posts need to be approved. The free version may also work great for your needs depending on your limitations. Being able to see all streams from the web makes it easy to view all social media sites and make sure they're up to date. Responding to posts is also easily done from the dashboard. Lastly, there are tons of tools available from the dashboard to add to your account making it a one-stop shop!

Cons: Would like a way to schedule a long post for Facebook and allow a hidden character or combination of characters (maybe like, /&/) to allow a break for Twitter so the user doesn't have to create one long post for Facebook and 2-4 different posts for Twitter. Would like a way to receive an email of sorts when all posts are posted as sometimes (very, very rarely) are some not posted.

Pros: Hootsuite has been my ideal software for the management of Social Networks. Thanks to this program I can expose quite enough any person who so wishes, complying with excellent quality standards thanks to its benefits that I will mention them below:

-It can add a significant amount of social networks in the software, allowing me to monitor and expose the client quite acceptable.

- Its column system is quite functional to visualize and evaluate profiles of facebook, twitter, instagram, LinkedIn, without losing details when having to alternate between several browser windows.

-Incorporation of comments within a review, retweet, so that the idea you want is better projected

-Programming of automatic messages in the same social network

Cons:

One of the problems I find when using Hootsuite is that I can not see the people who retweet my posts or tweets, to solve this, I must have a twitter session open with the Hootsuite. In the same way I think that this detail can be improved by this company.

Overall: Hootsuite is software that I would remember with my eyes closed. Although it is not a perfect software, it is one of the most complete since it combines several social networks in a single interface, propelling the user in an excellent way.

Pros: Hootsuite is a very valuable and useful software for my work development since it has many tools that allow me to manage my social networks. With Hootsuite I can manage my content on social networks according to the hours I want to publish, the type of content, and the interaction of our customers with my social network accounts. I can also project my content making my customers know the services we offer, and one of the most important reasons why I use Hootsuite is that I can increase user traffic in my social network accounts, a factor of great importance for my growth as a worker, I can go measuring this because Hootsuite offers me a tool to analyze user traffic in my social networks, and based on these analysis estimate new actions to improve my content, or publish at different times, add something new to our content and other things more than just this.

Cons: A software with excellent performance, and very effective, reasons which make it the most complete software to manage social networks and expose your products, your brand or the services it offers. A very complete software and tailored to the needs of workers who depend on the use of social networks.

Pros: Hootsuite is incredibly easy to use and even the free package offers a number of highly functional tools. I am able to easily monitor my own pages, upcoming posts and conversations mentioning my brand without or without my handle. I am able to follow other pages that offer content for me to share as well. The content creation and scheduling function is easy to use and allows me to do most everything I want. It is great that you can now post to Twitter.

Cons: It is frustrating that there is no handle drop down function for Instagram. With Twiter you can type the handles directly in the Hootsuite post scheduler and it will give you options to select from in a drop down. With Instagram you must go to Instagram, find the handle and type it perfectly in the message within hootsuite

The good thing is you can test the links in scheduled Instagram posts to ensure it has been typed correctly. I don't like that you cant just retweet without a comment, at least in the free version. While I usually do comment there are some instances where I simply want to retweet. Setting up stream is a bit difficult to get the hang of but once you do it is easy enough. I sometimes find it hard to narrow down on the exact conversation I am looking to track but overall pretty straightforward.

Overall: Easy to use. Good value. Lots of tools and functions. Allows you to schedule Instagram which is a time saver.

Pros: The fact that I can be able to schedule my post and also track mentions while effortlessly taking analytics of my social media campaigns are great reasons I like Hootsuite.

Also, as a Social Media Consultant, clients come to us to make enquiries as regard how to Manage their Social Media Channels. Hootsuite has made our work easier by providing a mini tutorial for new users, at the right side of the dashboard. So all we do is give a brief introduction of the platform to our clients and also refer them to the Mini tutorial. The free plan for users is also another great approach.

Cons: Some plans are a little Pricey

The interface looks outdated when compared to other Social Media Management software

It lacks the depth of features of more expensive options for example, the analytics are not detailed enough as compared to most robust social media management softwares.

Overall: Overall, it is a great Social Media Management especially for those who are just starters/newbies.

It is easy to navigate and I have recommended it lot's of times to my clients

Pros: Hootsuite is a universal platform for managing several social media networks from one place. As we launch a new service, we also create new social media acccounts in order to run efficient marketing campaigns. But managing such amount of accounts is very hard and requires a lot of human resources. Especially answering all the customer questions from different social networks is very time consuming. But thanks to Hootsuite we don't miss any message or notification anymore. Because Hootsuite provides very informative dashboard which you can see any changes as it appears. My most liked feature of Hootsuite is scheduling function which makes it possible to share posts even when we are not in front of the computer. It also helps us to share posts for the customers who lives in different timeline.

Cons: The features which Hootsuite provides can be found in elsewhere and cheaper than Hootsuite, but Hootsuite collected all of this features in one place. This is good side of Hootsuite, but paying for every added feature is annoying. It would be great if Hootsuite had one plan including all possible features. Training also cost money. Another disadvantage of Hootsuite is scheduling posts in twitter. It doesn't work as intended. When the scheduled tweet is published the shared photo appears as a clickable link.

Comments: I wish you could schedule to Instagram from the desktop app, but I realize that's a shortcoming with Instagram itself and not Hootsuite.

Pros: Very robust features--ability to search for mentions of your company or any topic to get involved with people and meet new followers, ability to see comments on facebook ads and respond in the app, the ability to respond to anything sent your way on your social media all in one place, bulk scheduling with spreadsheets, ability to manage many platforms at once, and more. I love Hootsuite.

Cons: The main con is that I wish Hootsuite had scheduling features like Buffer. Buffer allows you to setup a schedule rather than having to post everything manually, and it's super easy to recycle posts. For example, Buffer will tell you when the best posting times are either set up a posting schedule for you based on your desired frequency, or allow you to set one up (like post on facebook at 3PM every Tuesday and 10am every Friday etc.). Also, buffer's chrome extension will pull images in addition to the URL, and I wish Hootsuite did the same.

Pros: I have been using Hootsuite for a few years now. I am on a paid plan, as I have many social media accounts to manage, but I also have a couple of clients who use the free version and I am very impressed with what they are able to do on the free plan. The bulk upload took a bit to get used to how to create the spreadsheet properly, but it has been a lifesaver ever since!

I really like being able to interact with my Twitter accounts right in the Hootsuite dashboard. I have many lists set up on Twitter and Hootsuite makes it very easy for me to interact with them. The calendar view is helpful as I can easily move posts around if I have to.

Cons: I wish the free plan would allow for more social media posts to be scheduled at one time, as I like to plan out and schedule the bulk of my social media posts at the beginning of the month. The limit on scheduled posts has me using other services in conjunction with Hootsuite to get around this.

Overall: I save a lot of time with Hoostuite and it gives me peace of mind.

Pros: I am so glad I discovered this app. I like Hootsuite because it helps me manage all social media accounts for my company in one dashboard. Instead of logging in to each social media account independently, I only log in to Hootsuite and I can access all the social media accounts. Hootsuite also allows me to mass post on the social networks. Like I can write one post and post to different social media accounts.

Another awesome thing about Hootsuite is the ability to schedule posts ahead of time. I find this feature very useful. This feature helps me plan my future posts in a single sitting ahead of time. I then schedule when I want the posts to go out. This helps me be more productive and keep my social media accounts engaging with fresh content and also helps save time.

Another thing I like about Hootsuite is that the tool is free of charge. Yes, there is a premium version, but if you don't have the budget for that, you can still use the free version which is also pretty awesome.

Cons: A challenge with Hootsuite is that it can be quite overwhelming when you start out. The interface has numerous activities and components which can be overwhelming if you are just starting out with the application.

Another challenge is that Hootsuite can be quite expensive for an organisation if the company has many users. The price increases per user in the premium version of the application.

Overall: Hootsuite is a great application for managing social media and helping you stay productive and save time.

Pros: Hoot suite provides a handy tool to schedule your software. It also helps you manage your social channels by monitoring, posting and handling tasks within a team. It is even best suited for remote working team. Its free version provides limited features but if you will buy its pro version, you will plenty of options. What i liked about the interface is, I can see all social media channels in one area and I can edit current and future posts right there. I use this to schedule my tweets and get my customers engaged. It is always easy to do so, so you can quickly see when customers comment, like, or retweet your posts.

Cons: It is very expensive to use it for the team. You need to pay some more bucks for analytics report. I also didn't like the way it forces us to use Owly link shortner. And if you need a custom link url, again pay more bucks. It doesn't provide you facebook image thumbnail preveiw, so you can't guess how your image post looks like unless and untill you post it on the facebook. I have lso notice that my facebook page is not showing much engagement after using hootsuite.

Overall: It helped me and my teammates automating our social media tasks. SO in the end, hootsuite saves our time. It also provides us RSS feed integration, blog, wordpress post scheduling features. Overall, hootsuite has helped us scheduling our social media task easily.

Pros: For nobody is a secret that we live in an era of social networks. Even, 70% of the development of a company or of any person, happens nowadays for the good use of its image. Applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn are the main social networks currently used worldwide. But what happens if you need to manage each of them? That is why Hootsuite is the platform that will help you to have almost perfect control of each of them, through the visualization of multiple tabs and columns, with the use of advanced reports.

Its creator needed precisely a tool that would allow him to order each of the most important social networks, and after the creation of Hootsuite, he decided to share his creation with the rest of the world. The result was an excellent application that covers both the use of an organization and that of a natural person who wants to manage its content well.

Without a doubt, it is an indispensable platform that you will need yes or yes to manage in all those media. Do not think about it, buy it without any doubt.

Cons: Currently, Hootsuite has several competitors in the market that have given it a fresher touch than the platform created by the company can have. Therefore, some tools may not be equal to others such as Postcron, BlogsterApp, Metricooly Buffer, which also have the function of creating posts in networks, each with different details, positive or negative, of what is Hootsuite. However, it does not mean that this is a negative point. Competition in the market will always be a positive thing for the improvement and development of these platforms.

Pros: What I like the most about Hootsuite software is the possibility of saving time, managing the different social networks that I use from the same platform. At the same time, the function of automating the posting of messages at different times of the day allows me to be active 24 hours a day without the need of having my smart phone in my hand. It is a great work tool.

Cons: I think that Hootsuite is more directed to the social network Twitter than to Facebook when interacting with users. That subtracts a little the ability to interact in real time. With Twitter I can post and give RT automatically. With Facebook I can not program answers to my users.

Overall: Thanks to Hootsuite, the number of followers that I have in the social networks that I manage has risen like foam. What allows the impact of a social network account among the audience is the ability to keep it always active. Sometimes, due to the dynamics of my work, it lasted hours without publishing, since it was difficult for me to access my account from my smartphone due to time constraints. Today I have someone to do it for me.

Pros: My favorite feature of Hootsuite is its general purpose - the scheduling. One of the best ways I've learned to keep content interesting is to create posts based on trends and upcoming holidays. On Hootsuite, I can plan those out all at once and have a calendar of posts that will go out at a later date. I've scheduled posts up to a full month ahead of time and was able to focus on other projects while Hootsuite posted for me. It's a great way to maintain your social media presence when social media is only one part of your job. There's also a great analytics feature withing Hootsuite that allows you to see how much activity/engagement you had each month. This helped me to compile a monthly social media report and understand which types of content generated the most engagement.

Cons: The one thing that I dislike about Hootsuite is using it for social media platforms other than Twitter. It works very well for scheduling tweets, but posting to Facebook or LinkedIn is very awkward. Another things is that even with scheduling tweets, you cant send out a post with a photo. When the tweet is published, the photo will show up as a link that your followers and visitors have to click to see the photo. That forces me to send tweets with photos in real time and defeats the purpose of using a scheduling application.

Pros: The thing I love the most is that I can schedule it ahead of time. Social media is here to stay and to remain relevant in today's business world, you almost have to have comments, posts, Tweets, etc going out daily. With so many platforms, I got bogged down and resentful about having to keep up with it. Now, with Hootsuite, I write 20 posts, schedule them into Hootsuite and forget about it for the week. The posts drop on the day and time I scheduled, into the platforms I chose.

And on the rare occasion that the PERFECT comment, or Tweet hits me, I can immediately drop it into Hootsuite to be published at a future date. I don't have to try and remember what it was I came up with Friday night while cleaning the oven. LOL

Cons: I don't like that I could only add three social media platforms to my account without having to start paying for a Pro membership. Three barely scrapes the surface. I did go Pro and added about a dozen.

Overall: I like it. It is easy to use and self-explanatory, and truthfully I can tell a difference in my exposure because my business is now brought to my contacts daily through the pre-scheduled posts.

Pros: Hootsuite helps me to get more engaging and post timely using schedule auto-posting. As LD is not my primary social sharing platform it is very easy to forget about and lose interest.

Hoot suite helped me to be more engaging without being online the whole day. I just set all my engaging posts on a day or two weekdays to post automatically. Now I can use more time in work and not on social media.

It's really a lifesaver and now my more contacts are engaging with my posts.

I must share another feature of Hootsuite, which is really unique. It lists all my posts and their engagement so I can see all my activity on one page. It is just like my private wall which is missing from LD.

I must include using royalty free image service from pixabay is just really helpful and help me to search and post quickly.

Cons: When using FB and LD, the limit of 30 is reached quite easily as I am very active on them. Si, I have to delete my FB, and use LD for more engagement with my contact.

I like to see a space to store my picture so I don't have to download from google and re-upload it to Hootsuite, as my Office pc doesn't allow any USB connection.

Overall: I am so happy with the Hootsuite service. Now I spend less time managing my social media and give more time to my work and family. It really helps me to get more done in less time. When writing a post-it shows how my post will look when it will be published. 30 post queue is just awesome, it means I can set 30 posts scheduled at a time for 3 social media account. But as I only use one account, 30 posts are never gonna fill up for me.

The tutorial is very intuitive and shows you step by step what to do, which saves a lot of time searching on how to post.

Pros: We manage multiple social media accounts for multiple clients and we had to hire another team member to manage them all. We finally found Hootsuite and it cut the time spent in half. We were able to schedule posts ahead of time, shorten links, and see at-a-glance what was happening with each account. Hootsuite is worth its weight in gold. We even tried a few others, like Buffer, but always came back to Hootsuite because of the UI and features, including a Chrome extension to be able to post while not in Hootsuite, say if you were browsing the internet and came across something perfect to post but you weren't actively logged in to Hootsuite.

Cons: We had two small issues. We couldn't get decent reporting and analytics unless we upgraded to a more expensive plan and we would occasionally lose our connected accounts, forcing us to go through another verification process. If you have international clients, this becomes an issue because of IP addresses. But once everything was connected, it was smooth sailing.

Overall: We were able to cut our time spent on posting to social media in half!

Pros: As someone who needs to automate updates for my second job, I need to be able to get everything done so I don't have to work on it during the work day.

Hootsuite allows me to take a post and set it up on my schedule, include images and links... and have it post across all social media sites. It updates and allows you to see how many characters you have left, depending on which site you are posting to, and allows you to choose any additional images you would like included.

Instead of having to visit individual sites and edit on your own, everything can be done from one easy to use dashboard.

Cons: The only problem I have with the site is that there are definitely times where it will go down for a while. I tend to be working in the evenings while using this website, and sometimes at night there are some quirks, probably that they are doing work in the background assuming less people are using it.

Pros: I have used Hootsuite exclusively to manage my multiple social media accounts - primarily Twitter (multiple accounts), Linkedin, Facebook (multiple accounts) and Google+. For its purpose, it sports a relatively easy-to-use user interface that makes it easy to use and see all your social media accounts from a single web page. This alone is worth its price, rather than having multiple webpages and/or web browsers which can make things messy and convoluted. Another big win is its Hootsuite has well-developed mobile apps on Android and iOS make it easy to use on the go.

Cons: I used the free version of Hootsuite for about 6 months, then decided to subscribe to the Pro version for about another 6 months, and finally decided to stop using it as it is rather pricey. The paid version provides analytics/reporting of your social media stats which can be useful depending on your profession (e.g. if you are in marketing and manage your company's social media image). For a standalone user like myself I have decided to stop using it as I have not found it to be worth the money.

Pros: In general it is one of the most complete and necessary software for business and professional management of social networks, its interface is very simple and its versatility is very complete, besides the integration to almost all common platforms of social networks makes it much easier to manage from a single application.

Personally, I'm a fan of this software, it's the best I've seen in all my years of experience, I recommend it 100% and without saying that they have Hootsuite University where they teach and certify professionally in the handling of this software.

Cons: Many complain about the monthly price of this software, but it seems to me that it is a reasonable and reasonable price for all the functions it has.

Overall: Having a software that includes everything you need for your social networking work is the best you can have when you manage many accounts in different social networks, their analysis is very complete and that saves you a lot of time.

Pros: I like the fully customizable dashboard for social management. It makes it easy to efficiently monitor multiple channels or aspects of a particular social channel in one place.

The bulk scheduler has saved me so much time. I load in weekly and monthly csv templates and the posts are ready to go very, very quickly.

When I've needed customer support, they've been very responsive and work with me to resolve the problem.

Overall, this software is a daily staple in my business and one that saves me a lot of time!

Cons: This is more likely a technical glitch in the platform rather than a draw back of the software, but on a few occassions I've run into issues with the bulk scheduler scheduling duplicate posts into the schedule. This requires me to go back and manually delete the duplicates which is a little annoying.

Pros: Frees up time so you don't need a social media manager. You can post when you want to and how you want to. I have multiple accounts, with a lot of followers. I need the time for designing and building my business and my brand across all the platforms. when you are starting a new business, you need all the help you can get.

Cons: The pricing is a lot, but for 10 accounts, it's worth it. I have about six accounts and I don't have time to do that and draw, pull items and answer questions. Customer service can take a bit to get back, best at ask on one onf their social media accounts.

Overall: It has been a really good experience. Again I was referred by another designer to try it out. Whereas I had to plan my day and take time out post to social media, which is a distraction in its self. Hootsuite keeps me focused on the tasks, and keeps me available to my clients. I would start with the free trial to get your sea legs, then get the pro plan. That's all you need to stay out front in social media.

Pros: The ability to post to multiple social media accounts simultaneously, with auto-scheduled timings to suit the content and the audiences. Being able to see the scheduled posts on a calendar-like format then helps me go back in to tweak each post depending on the platform it is going to - perhaps to add a little more content to the Instagram version, while shrinking the content for the Twitter version.

Monitoring streams on each of the social media platforms allows me to tailor my own content to suit the most popular channels of the day, reaching a larger audience and ultimately engaging with more people.

Cons: I'd like to have seen some analytics capability from the free version. I get that you shouldn't get everything for free but I need to know if there's value in me paying for something before I throw cash at the problem. What analytics will Hootsuite give me that rivals, such as Twitter Analytics, won't?

Overall: It's been seemless. I've aggregated all my social media networks in to one place, even on the free version. Where I cannot add another account (because it's the free version), I've used other software to automate inline with Hootsuite recommendations. This is an excellent product; I've seen immediate benefits and I'll be using it for years to come.

Pros: Hootsuites is one of the web tools currently used by social network administrators, due to its potential to view content from several networks simultaneously.

Pros:

Up to six social networks can be added for free, without paying anything.

Allows you to see several columns simultaneously. Either from the same social network or from different networks.

If you are using to manage a twitter account, for example, you can put in a column the mentions, in another column the timeline, in another column the programmed tweets, etc.

Up to 30 tweets per day can be programmed.

Messages can be programmed with several photos and videos.

Cons: You can not add more than six accounts in the tool. To administer more accounts must be paid obligatorily.

The tool does not allow to see the TT of the moment.

Not being able to schedule more than 30 daily tweets can be negative because sometimes more daily messages are programmed.

Sometimes in the messages programmed instead of seeing the picture a link is seen. The same happens with the videos.

Overall: I currently use this tool to program tweets and manage twitter accounts of the company where I work. Through Hootsuites can review, above all, the mentions made by users about our company and address them quickly.

Pros: I love how easy it is to schedule into the future across platforms. The free version of Hootsuite suits the needs of most of my clients, and the paid version offers even more insight into performance and features. I use the new Beta version to preview how links are going to look on Facebook and Twitter which is really helpful.

Cons: The free version used to have more capacity but is now limited to 30 messages across all platforms. The introduction of Instagram publishing was really helpful but the glitches have not yet been worked out and I run into a lot of issues with photos not posting even though the account is synced. I'm hoping this issue is resolved in time. Preview of photos no longer occurs in the main platform, it is only accessible in Beta testing version.

Overall: I have used the free version to schedule posts for my clients for several years and it has made my life so much easier!

Pros: Having all my social profiles in one place is extremely valuable and time-saving. Batching and scheduling a month's content or more in advance is a game-changer.

Cons: There are definitely some bugs in working between the mobile and desktop version. And autoschedule is only available on certain forms of the hootlet scheduling tool. The new composer is generally great and easy to use, but it does not have the autoschedule function, and you still have to go into the legacy composer to use certain browser extensions, specifically for saved text. I've been having issues recently with accounts disconnecting, and I wish it was easier/clearer to form teams of multiple people.

Overall: I save so much and am able to be in all places at once with Hootsuite. It's valuable for getting media and content from my mobile device into my overall workflow. Fabulous value for the price, and an absolute must-have for any social media manager.

Pros: I absolutely love the scheduling features of Hootsuite. It is simple to create and curate posts across different social media channels and then schedule them to post all at once. No more logging into different social media accounts and posting individually for every single post. Posts centered around special holidays or special client events can be scheduled to post months in advance. This kind of advanced scheduling lets us easily establish a basic framework and outlook of posts for our client's social media accounts.

Cons: I wish Hootsuite had even more automated posting features, but this is more a limitation of the social media websites themselves and not a con with Hootsuite.

Overall: I can efficiently and effectively manage social media accounts with Hootsuite. Team members and clients can easily edit or add posts because the user interface is very clear and very helpful.

Pros: I love that hoot suite allows you to schedule all of your social media posts. It allows you to combine Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and schedule posts for all of them at the same time! I was struggling to maintain consistency in posting to our social media platforms, but hoot suite helped to simplify that. I also love that it allows you to monitor each social media site in one place. I can create different tabs of my choosing. For example, on one screen I can see what Facebook messages, Instagram comments, Facebook comments and re-tweets. Rather than switching from one website to another, I can view everything at one time. I highly suggest using their app.

Cons: This is the best tool I've found for scheduling post to Instagram. However, there are a few more steps to get the image published to Instagram and it doesn't happen instantly. Hootsuite sends me the notification, but I have to manually publish it. I'm sure this has more to do with Instagram and less to do with hoot suite.

Pros: Hootsuite allows users to add their social media handles, which Hootsuite then will aggregate feeds from all connected handles. Hootsuite also allows users to schedule their posts, which is very handy if you want to publish something in a busy day in the future. You can prepare the publication now, save it to Hootsuite and schedule it to be posted in the appropriate time. With clever Hootsuite usage, you can maintain your presence in various social media without being overwhelmed or without having to spend lots of time on them.

Cons: While Hootsuite works with various social media, its user interface is too restricted for some. Hootsuite is ideal for perusing through twitter feed but not as ideal to look at facebook feed, for the example. This problem is especially prevalent in the mobile version of the application.

Pros: They give me a bunch of features for running my non-profit more effectively and efficiently. One of the coolest aspects that they offer is the ability for me to post my different social media accounts at different times. This saves me a ton of time and then I never forget. I'm able to schedule out far in advance, so if I have a big announcement that I won't be releasing for a few weeks, I can write it, figure out the best time to post, then have it ready to post in the Queue awaiting the day; and I can get that off my mind entirely.

Cons: Hootsuite feels a bit dated for me. I've been using it a few years and am very familiar with everything they offer. Maybe it's just because I'm familiar with the platform, but I feel they have the opportunity to really help businesses and people grow their following, beyond what is made available by them. I don't really know what that x-factor may be, but I know it's missing it.

Recommendations to other buyers: It's a great platform. Give it a try and you won't have to spend a dollar. If you think it's a great fit for you and your needs, then great! If not, then no harm no foul. If you're not very familiar with the whole social media management thing, then you can look at their academy or just general help posts and blog articles. It was great for me as I didn't really know too much about the social media game!

Pros: I love the entire concept of being able to schedule out my social media posts in advance to save me time and sanity! It's a GREAT tool for users with multiple accounts and lots of content to share!

Cons: I HATE that the drafts are never where you can actually find them. I believe this is due to a system upgrade of the way drafts are saved on the platform, (switching from an old format to a newer one), but every time I initiate a post and save it as a draft, I can NEVER find where it's saved.

Also, I detest that the Instagram integration won't allow me to post more than 1 image to Instagram. That basically makes this app unusable for posting to IG. Causes a big pain and interruption in my social media management when I have to set an alarm to remember to post my IG content b/c I can't post it through Hootsuite if it has more than 1 image file.

Overall: I use Hootsuite as a small business owner to manage my daily social media content posts. It's an integral took in my workflow and has enabled me to grow my social media presence immensely!

Pros: I have been using Hootsuite as a social media tool for the past two years. As a social media manager, it really helps me plan out posts on across multiple social media platforms. At first, the dashboard can appear a bit intimidating, however, its features are (mostly) self-explanatory. I also love the free addition of its media library + GIFs. I've used this multiple times as a convenient and easy way to add images to my posts when in a pinch.

Cons: I have multiple Facebook accounts set up under my business manager. For whatever reason, it does not allow me to auto-post Instagram posts to a specific Instagram account due to "incorrect permissions." I've reached out to customer service multiple times for help, but little progress has been made. Additionally, the calendar on the app can get confusing and it only supports a limited number of URL shorteners.

Overall: There are many benefits to using (free) Hootsuite to manage social media accounts. In my opinion, upgrading to a higher tier doesn't seem necessary.

Pros: Integrate the main social networks in a single dashboard (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, Pinteres and others), you can see what happens in the world of networks easily. The programming of content is very easy, you write the content, you upload the images and then you select the date and time in the calendar. This will send you an email when the content is published. The Bulk Composer allows you to upload content programming in bulk from a CSV document, and then allows you to edit them. The assignment of messages is a very useful tool in a large organization where the manager must approve the contents.

Cons: It is an excellent software. Images are not supported when loading content in the Bulk Composer. The free reports are very basic. It is a little complex to use message assignment.

Overall: Positioning your organization in social networks is difficult, but with Hootsuite it is very easy. Making an advertising campaign is very simple thanks to the content programming tools and the analysis reports.
