July 21, 2025 3.0 I was overall happy with the program however, the issues that I had caused me to step away from the service. Pros The ability to post to multiple sites was very helpful. The ease of updating the wording of the post to each is also a nice process. I also liked being able to schedule posts. Cons I often found that post would not go out and I would not get any notice that it did not go out and therefore missed it. I also found that it would disconnect from a platform often. Pros I love the ease of scheduling my posts in advance. Im able to draft out my content for months which allows me to be productive in other areas in my profession. The interface is also more approachable than other software i've used in the past. Cons The analytics aren't as accurate. I'm usually having to go directly on the platform I use to pull data so my numbers are correct. July 17, 2026 4.0 In our role as marketers amongst a variety of other hats, Hootsuite is a practical tool for maintaining organization and consistency of our content. The lack of customization options and cost are disadvantages, but it's allowed us to stay present without us getting super-complicated. The analytics in particular provide insights that would not be gained without having a service like this, so it's worth using for the time being. Pros Hootsuite has been awesome for posting in many places at once without having to log out and in for each one. The analytics are very useful in determining engagement figures and the ability to handle the content directly is a major advantage. Good for a little group like us where time is limited and we want to be consistent online. The process of setting up their account seemed simple, even if I wasn't in marketing. Cons The cost is too high for a small business relative to other options. Also I want something a bit easier to customize content per platform without having to constantly rework it. Support appears responsive, but slow with issue resolution. Video editing capabilities are quite limited and this can be frustrating as we do a lot of visual storytelling. Review Source Zaid E. Although not always reliable, it did the job most of the time, but there are better alternatives. Cons Overpriced for the value and experience it offers. Not always reliable. Prioritizing profits over ethics with their decision to enter and uphold contract with ICE. When asked to explain their decision they gave a pre-scripted robotic PR response despite being their client for nearly 10 years. Switched from [Buffer](https://www.capterra.com/p/143492/Buffer/) Hootsuite engaged in unethical business practices and their service is not great while also being overpriced. I can also save important dates in advance so they don't get lost and then write the posts later. I also really like the ticketing system and the resulting team collaboration. Pros Planning content for different channels is straightforward and works perfectly. The sharing function is especially helpful when collaborating with colleagues. I switched to Hootsuite from another tool due to a job change and found my way around immediately. Cons From a marketing perspective, it could be a bit more colourful. It’s great that whether I’m uploading photos or videos, everything is simple and fast across all platforms, and the basic publishing options are clear and easy. I love how I can easily repeat the same post multiple times, perfect for when I need to extend the period of displaying a certain content. I love that Hootsuite has made responding to messages very simple, no need to switch between channels. Everything is in one place. Cons Scheduling rarely fails and when it does, it’s easy to fix. Hootsuite’s media library is amazing, it makes it easy to keep sharing and refreshing content seamless. Copying captions makes it easy to upload content instantly without any hassle.
