Pros Hootsuite made it incredibly easy for a marketing team of one to manage a small army of sub-brands for our agency and maintain a constant online presence. Their analytics and scheduling recommendations allowed us to target our posts at the times that were most impactful for our demographic and our engagement went up as a result. The interface is very intuitive and allows you to create an easy-to-manage content strategy. With their calendars I can plan posts in advance, assign hashtags, and mention users. I also found the dashboard useful, which allows you to see the activity and engagement on each platform, as well as the statistical reports on reach and interaction. It is undoubtedly a great tool for those who must manage several profiles and do not want to constantly publish manually Cons What I liked least is that some features such as message alerts are only available on the paid plan. While I understand that it is a way for the company to earn income, for those just starting out with a small budget, those alerts could be useful. Another detail is that the programming does not allow as much flexibility when adjusting publication times when necessary. Pros Almost everything: it integrates smoothly with platforms, it is easy to use, visually well done and the UI/UX is pleasant. You really get an enjoyable and reliable service! Cons The only con for me was Hootsuite's price. For my use, it was quite expensive per social post, which at some point decided me to switch off to an alternative (which I ended up regretting for different reasons). I get that the price is the reason why it's so good, but maybe an entry level plan with less features could be an interesting in-between solution. I also love the feature that Hootsuite offers of showing you the best time to post on each specific day to increase the chances of higher engagement/visibility. I also love that you can edit the text for each specific social media platform to best fit the text and hashtag maximum requirements for each. Lastly, I really enjoy the feature of displaying how the content and text will look on each specific social media platform to give you an idea of how it will look once it's published. All in all, Hootsuite saves me so much time and stress by scheduling all content once a month to be automatically posted when scheduled. Cons The one con I have with Hootsuite is that you can't include Pinterest in the typical place to schedule content, rather it's a separate area which is a little inconvenient. Inserting a video/image and then writing some content for whichever accounts you select, and it's done! No more getting up on Christmas morning and logging into my laptop to post Merry Christmas. It just happens on its own! Pros I love the fact that I can add my social media platforms to the system and pick and choose which ones I want to use for a posting. Then I can schedule things for months easily! I wish it was cheaper, but it is comparable to other services that are out there. I would highly recommend it! Cons One thing that aggravates me is that my Instagram account seems to become disconnected on a regular basis. Just IG, none of the others. It's easy to fix, but just an unnecessary hiccup.
