Pros I really liked how easy it was to integrate updates for various social medias in one place. Hootsuite was fairly simple to integrate with any social media platform I wanted. I am able to schedule posts in advance and save time to focus on other tasks. Pros I like the availability of apps to enhance the experience and make scheduled posting that much easier. Hootsuite makes social media management much easier. Cons Hootsuite seems to have trouble connecting to some of my pages on Facebook, but I believe that this is a Facebook issue. Pros I liked having the ability to schedule posts for several sites at the same time. It helped me to keep track of what posting had been done, and what posting needed to be done. It also helped me to keep track of what had already been posted, so I could avoid duplicates. Cons I had no real issues with this app. I do recommend double checking your social media sites to make sure items are posted as scheduled. Cons I don’t have many downsides to this software, however I will say that there are other more affordable options that offer many of the same functions. Also, reports statistics on published contents and it can manage multiple accounts at the same time. Cons The disadvantage of this software is only have a free trial month. Also, it has actions that couldn´t be automated such as the followers counter that doesn't show. However, is a software with few cons. Pros Wonderful for scheduling posts in advance and coordinating across social media sites. Great for social media marketing campaigns that require postings at specific times (including early in the morning and late at night) throughout the day. No more setting an alarm for a 6 am Facebook post! Cons Hootsuite is still not able to fully integrate with Instagram. Scheduling posts ahead of time is possible, but you still need to open Instagram and hit "send" at the scheduled time in order to post it. I understand that this is due to Instagram's restrictions, and not Hootsuite's, but it's still a pain. I love the quick access to stock photos, this is very helpful when needing to do a quick post. The scheduler is the best tool ever! Cons Occasionally you'll have to reconnect to your social media account, but it doesn't happen that often. It allows you to schedule your posts so you can create many all at once and have them posted later. It also helps keep your posts cohesive across different platforms. With the paid version, you can even track how well different versions of a post are doing and will automatically boost that post! Hootsuite's free account allows us to write, organize, and schedule our social media posts from a central location, as well as allow multiple people to access and review the posts before they go out. We sometimes have several different people contributing to social media posts, and it's been really helpful to see what others are working on or what's scheduled to post already, so that we're not stepping on anyone else's toes. Cons The free version only allows us to add 3 social media accounts - I absolutely understand why (it's free!) but it would be nice to be able to add a couple more accounts so that we can really have everything in one place. Pros Hootsuite is one of the only social scheduling platforms that allows 3 social accounts to be used. Additionally, the feed allows a one-glance overview of all social profiles. Cons Hootsuite is not always reliable - there have been times that I have scheduled posts and woken up to see that they never posted. While the dashboard is good for the one-glance, it can also be messy and disorganized.
