I no longer have to use multiple spreadsheets to track attendance, scores, grades, and communications. Pros I love the versatility of the platform. There are so many functions that work well together. The software is well integrated and very thought out. The pathway from page to page is logical and intuitive. Anytime I had an issue with the iGradePlus, I received a response swiftly. And they are eager to take suggestions as well. Cons There are some functionalities of the newest upgrade that are still in beta or not as functional, but I am confident that they are working out the bugs, such as bulletins and memos. Pros It is cost effective and has many tools that can be used in many ways. It combines several other programs and connects things easily. I love the efficiency of grading and editing grades for specific students. It is also good for communicating with both students and parents while keeping them updated on assignments and events. Cons The updates tend to come slowly. There are a couple promised features that have not been implemented when they were promised over a year ago. Though I will not complain that much since I use the free version. I'm glad I found this site and will continue to use this as long as it's available. Pros I love that I can keep track of grades online. I personally am a homeschool parent and this makes it easy to keep track of my kids grades without having to hold on to every single piece of paper. Cons There's nothing I didn't really like about iGradePlus. The UI could be cleaned up a little. Maybe just a simple drop down menu with clear options as to where everything is located. Other than that, everything was great. Pros I like all of the shortcuts to the different areas you can go to like attendance to adding a new assignment. Cons I wish the shortcuts had different icons or were labeled differently I have to scroll over each one to remember which icon is which. I also wish there was a way to auto select 100% for an assignment for all the students at once. It saves me a lot of time to have an online gradebook that keeps track of so much. It would take me hours more to put this on a spreadsheet of my own. Pros That the program allows you to excuse students from an assignment and then keeps track of the rest of their grades Cons The space for a name needs to be longer, or it needs to allow for nicknames. I usually have to keep the Thai name and the English name of my students, so that pushes their nickname (the English name we usually use to identify them) out of sight on the assignment grade entry page. I also love how to can see everything in one spot for information and how we use to grade was thinkwave their software sucks. Igradeplus is the best and ive been using it for almost a year. Cons I dont personally have anything bad to say besides that i wish i could remove my email from being visible but besides that love Igradeplus best software ever. It is a huge time saver for me. I refer back I look at how many assignments have graded. It helps me decide what to grade. I can use it to track the Progressive of my classes, a whole, and my students individually, and it helps me make strategic teaching decisions without a lot of of work or information finding. The information about my class is right there on the screen. Pros That is a hard question to answer. There are many things I like about iGradePlus. First, the grade percentages are calculated for me and that is a huge time saver. Second I see the average class grade for every assignment so I can look at that until if my class has the concept or if they need more practice. I can print off reports for each student easily and know what they’re missing assignments are for instance or what their grade percentage is when I’m doing report cards. I can put notes in about supports that students are given For assignments. Finally because it is an online green book I can work at home which maybe I should have better boundaries but I do like to grade at home or I can work at school and I don’t have to pack something back-and-forth. Cons Learning to use iGradePlus has been a little challenging, especially printing reports. Printing reports has been frustrating to learn how to do it but now that I have it it’s useful and helpful. It has just taken me a while to get there and I’ve wasted a lot of paper printing off reports that didn’t do what I wanted. I will admit that I, just this week, discovered that I could go to my list of students and from that place print report for each student that specifically listed what I wanted. I’ve been using I grade for about five years. Maybe there’s a tutorial that I haven’t found that would’ve been helpful. If there isn’t a tutorial would be nice. Review Source SB Susana B. Though you can mostly sove any issues using the Help section, if need be you can contact customer support which is quick to respond. Pros 1\. User friendly. It is easy to get started on your own by simply exploring the options in the menus and if you need further assistance, the help section presents accurate and easy to read information. 2. You can use it even as a solo teacher. 3. I can send students progress reports that are highly customizable to make them aware of their progress. 4. Taking attendance is a breeze. 5. Easy access from any device as long as you have a working internet connection. It does not even matter what OS you are running, I have used it over Android, Mac OS and Linux. Cons Setting up the gradebook. I have tried to import the data from a spreadsheet (.csv) but I have been successful only 50% of the times. Since I only have to do it once per year, it is not too bad. I have worked with systems for music that do a better job at layout, ease, updated technically, and time saving, so I know there’s more potential for improvement. But it is nice that mostly this is set up pretty well! Pros It is set up well but just glitchy (entering wrong quarter; crashing; freezing…) and has room for improvement (easier to enter assignments). But I really do like it. It is a good way to enter grades, but the technically seems old school and out of date. Cons Glitches (puts the wrong quarter in and it makes it take 2-3x as long to enter grades) and some things that could be improved like applying all selected assignments to one quarter or subject. Maybe a way to create more assignments in bulk ahead of time and at once, rather than having to type them all in individually and add “classwork, homework, test, quiz…”. For example, I have assignments I don’t type in a lot of details for to save time, so I enter them All in with the same name. Then I add the grades later under the student. It saves time and makes it way faster but it would make it even faster to create a larger amount of assignments at a time! Review Source DW Danielle W. I have the ability to include of my classes, descriptions of class work assignments and keep the information aligned to the various yearly quarters. Cons I need to learn how to utilize the behavior section in collaboration with the class PBIS standards. I'd love to have the app for teachers on my phone. We usually got it figured out, but there are still some kinks to work out within this system. Pros Fairly easy to figure out and use for daily calculation of grades. It is very much like Infinite Campus in its appearance and working. Cons There are several bugs and there is no way to separate 1st and 2nd semester view for a school year. There should be a way to do this. We thought archiving would take care of that, but it did not. There needs to be a way to name 1st and 2nd semester classes and run schedules for them by checking a box on what you want to run. Attendance, behavior, assignment is it wonderful. Cons HOWEVER, I use a tablet while in the actual classroom to take attendance, grade and such. We use it for our church online Bible classes & for the most part our staff doesn’t have many issues. Pros IGRADE is a decent platform to use, it’s user friendly & easy to navigate. Tabs are easily accessible & you’re able to access your files pretty easy. Cons At times it can be hard to find certain tabs on the back end as an admin. As an admin it’s not always easy to invite students to a class and/or sometimes when u invite students & they don’t accept the invite right away the admin has to go on the back end & do multiple steps such as take the student off the roster then put them back on & re-invite them again in order for the students to receive a new invite.
