It’s straightforward, reliable, and does exactly what I need it to do — track inventory, manage consignors, run the register, and generate the reports I actually use — without any complicated bells and whistles getting in the way. The learning curve was basically non-existent, and the support team has been responsive every time I’ve reached out. Sure, the interface looks a bit dated and the reporting could be a little more modern and flexible, but those are small things compared to how much time and headache it saves me every single day. I’ve tried a couple other systems before and this one just works consistently. I’d confidently recommend ConsignPro to any consignment or resale store owner who wants software that gets the job done without the frustration. Pros What I liked most is how incredibly user-friendly and intuitive ConsignPro is. I’m not super tech-savvy, but I was up and running with inventory, consignor tracking, point-of-sale, and reports very quickly. It handles everything a consignment shop needs without feeling overwhelming. The customer support is also excellent — they respond fast and actually help you solve problems instead of just pointing to a manual. If you want a computer based option, it's inexpensive and will do the job, but with less bells and whistles (and reporting features) than other consignement systems. We quit using it because we needed a cloud based program that would support more than one user at the time. Pros It was an inexpensive annual fee. The support was responsive and helpful. Cons Not available in the cloud. The system works flawlessly. Pros I run an operation with 15 networked devices running Consignpro, managing thousands of inbound inventory items, and thousands of purchases; and the software works without any issues. Every question I have, seems to have already been built into the system. Very impressive. Cons No features I'm not happy with. ConsignPro offers great and thorough training conferences where you can learn so much that will help you to be more profitable. The sales and customer support personnel are "top notch". Before purchasing this product, the user needs to understand how it will function with any downstream accounting applications (e.g. QuickBooks). During the trial of the product the user should test the data output to ensure that it works well with accounting software. The application outputs sales transactions on an accrual basis (invoices) even if they are cash sales. Our organization had to purchase another product to translate the .iif files from accrual to cash. On a negative note when we brought this up to the developer/owner of ConsignPro, we received a very abrupt response to our dilemma. Therefore, really test this system from end to end before you make a purchase. It was cost effect with reasonable options for annual support. As said above, we should have tested the software end to end with respect to accounting to ensure thorough compatibility. We ran into several user issues that are described in other reviews. I have looked for other, maybe better, software and failed. With that in mind I allowed myself the time to learn to know the software from a user's perspective. In other words: Give yourself time and try out before buying :) I am quite computer literate and have operated a repair service for several years. Some of the complaints I read from other users, like failing printer, frozen screens, etc. we have related to power surges, older computer equipment and sometimes a bit of a bite that needs a reset. Since we brought in battery back-ups, surge related issues are a thing of the past. Sometimes a printer refuses to work (about every 2-3 months). To safe ourselves frustration, we just do a hard reset (on/off button) to arrange all the bits and the bites and things run smoothly. This is NOT a software issue, but just computer reality. We are now considering to upgrade our i3 systems to something newer. No, I am not in any way related to ConsignPro staff. I am simply a store owner in Canada who is very very happy with the product and the service. Pros User Interface: Though several reviews seem to desire a more "App-like" or modern look, we are happy with the "simple" look we have. Easy to understand, quite fool proof and easy to train staff. Reports: Where others seem to have issues with the reporting options, we have no trouble at all. Our needs are very well taken care of. Support: During the past weeks we have made several changes to our store, including the addition of a web store. The staff was incredibly responsive, including on Saturdays. I mostly worked with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and I can't praise them enough. Not cloud based: Though I understand the reasons for cloud based software, I am happy our version is not. One purchase price, instead of monthly subscription. Can continue to operate the store when internet fails, which came in handy several times. Cons I just discussed this with my wife and she honestly can't come up with something. Keep in mind that we might miss something, but then we are happily ignorant.
