Pros The rating on my review relates solely to the SurePoint sunsetting of Coyote Analytics, which is an amazing product, and the Pros of my original review still apply. Coyote on prem is no longer offered as of the date of this review update. Cons SurePoint purchased Coyote in 2022. They made minimal improvements and then announced in early November 2025 that they were sunsetting the "on prem" Coyote Analytics product at the end of February 2026. This provided very little notice to the many firms affected, and left them scrambling to find an alternate product or else sign 3-year bridge contracts with SurePoint that were many times more expensive than existing support fees. Support has also been very slow and generally unhelpful since the SurePoint acquisition. In my opinion and experience, it seems like their support techs were never properly trained on the Coyote product. Switched from [Sage Timeslips](https://www.capterra.com/p/114210/Sage-Timeslips/) [QuickBooks Online](https://www.capterra.com/p/190778/QuickBooks-Online/) Our version of Timeslips was end-of-life and Timeslips was pushing customers onto their subscription model, and we wanted to move to a product that combined billing and accounting in one piece of software, and that also made the paperless billing process easier. Pros The software was clearly written by folks familiar with working in a law firm environment. Both from admin/management level to practicing attorneys to everyday support staff. Ease of functionality combined with extensibility to Outlook and Excel make this a great platform for anyone needing to service their lawfirm's time, billing and financial functions. Cons The layout of the contact management portion was cumbersome for our legacy of client/matter data. The quick entry feature is amazing and makes putting in time super easy and time efficient. The ability to submit the time all at once is great and to be able to pull up your time and change i if needed makes life a lot easier when dealing with billing errors. I also like how the entry changes color when all the fields are correct. Cons I do not like that there is not a spell check feature in the quick entry portion of the software. If you need to use the spell check feature you need to go out and check the spelling. They have been very helpful in creating custom reports that I need as well. My overall experience with Coyote has been great; I have never looked back on our former Juris product and am thrilled that we made the changes we made. Pros I love that if I make a mistake and need to undo a transaction, you just click "unpost" and it will create all correcting entries and give you a new draft. I love that we can put attachments on an expense, the bank statement on the bank reconciliations, as well as many other features like collections and paperless billing. Customer service is fantastic as well. Cons I really like this software and there is nothing I don't like. I had my computer programmer review the backend and he said it was built correctly and absolutely solid. And, it has been extremely reliable.
