We love Service Autopilot. We used Qxpress in the past and became frustrated with empty promises. I feel like because Service Autopilot is co-owned by a person that also owns and uses this software on his service business everyday it will constantly improve

Pros

I like the ability to track job times, the app, the invoicing, bulk email notification to clients, the dispatch board, job costing reports, the integrated estimating - scheduling - invoicing platform. There support is awesome.

Cons

No software is perfect and there are things that Service Autopilot could improve on just like every software that is available. There are a couple small items they could improve on, but I think they are in development. Things I would like to see in the future - bulk text notification to clients, report of client revenue and being able to sort from high to low for an entire year.

Pros

Scheduling for recurring services is easy to use and maintain.

Cons

Reports are useless, nothing is really autopilot. You have to find a work around for everything you need to do. They are always offering upgrades and additional features, but there is basic functionality missing.

We just began using Service Autopilot at the beginning of the year and I must say as a small business owner IT HAS SAVED US. We went through absolute chaos this spring, literally doubling in size within only 2 months and quadrupling by the end of Summer. Without the ability of having everything so well organized and automated with this software I honestly don't think it would have been possible to handle so much growth. It doesn't matter how small of a company you think you are, if you're ready to take it to the next level this is the software for you and it will definitely make the "next step" a lot easier to tackle. On top of that Jonathan and his team are very friendly and easy to work with and always look for ways to improve. I wouldn't think twice about using any other software but this one. Before SA I used a custom built database to run my company. It was very expensive to upgrade and get any edits done and it wasn't cloud based. I found and switched to SA and couldn't be happier. The customer service is great and the functionality is awesome! I love how they take input from the users to influence the improvements they make on their product. I don't think there's any other software out there that comes close!

Pros

cloud based, customer input is valued

Cons

I think the scheduling could be better. The tablet functions could be cleaner

Our company has been using Service Autopilot for several years now and so glad we made the change. As my business has grown so have the features of SAP. I love that it syncs with Quickbooks, my employees in the field can get instant changes to customer accounts, and the forms and automation. SAP makes running my business a lot smoother.

Pros

Makes syncing with Quickbooks and my credit card providers a breeze. Saves me time with forms and automation.

Cons

Not being able to find the time to learn and use all the features.

Service Autopilot has been an amazing timesaver for me. Before I started using the Service Autopilot program, I would spend 2-3 hours a night setting up my routes for my crews. Once I got set up with Service Autopilot, it cut down on my time tremendously! I was able to cut my time down to around 5-10 minutes a day, just checking over my routes. I would HIGHLY recommend Service Autopilot to anyone in the service industry!!!

Cant really think of any cons. Maybe price but I can definitley justify the monthly cost for the upside in being more efficient. Its great

We waited a few years before switching software to SA due to lack of features. Once features were there we made the switch and haven't looked back! It's a game changer for service businesses.

Pros

Functionality! It's always improving. Older software we used to use was never updated. Easy to use and you can actually "dumb" it down to just the features you need. Very customizable.

Cons

More consistency in the interface. Would like native Android and IOS apps. Would like to print receipts in truck when using mobiles.

We have used Service Auto Pilot for just under a year. In Fairness we haven't made the time investment to take advantage of the full functionality of the tool or to take advantage of many of the features. I just attended the Service Auto Pilot Users conference and was more than impressed with the company, presentations and capabilities. Based on the conference I would give everything a 5 star and once we get fully on board with the program might feel that way about the application as well but based upon our current experience rated it as above.

Pros

A cloud software solution tailor made for the landscaping industry. Leading edge technology with a constantly improving platform.

Cons

Not the most intuitive program.

Coming from a sales background I found SA was ready to track everything that might be important to note about clients. I actually found there was too many fields so I only use about %40 of them. I have a small Lawn Maintenance Business. We do quarterly maintenance packages and 1 week, 2 week and 10 day mowing. I found SA's scheduling to be the best there is. I actually tried Jobber for a while but the scheduling wasn't customizable enough. With SA you can say something like: Perform Pruning and weed control 3 times per year in these date ranges and at least 76 days apart. BUT. It takes lots of fiddling to understand every part of the program. I would recommend watching all the quick start guides (only about 1 hour training total, relatively little compared to one guys review). Then from there make sure you understand how scheduling is carried out in SA. After that you are ready to run. You can fool with tracking phone calls, estimates, to-dos, etc, later. NOTE: There is no free\* trial, it is a risk free trial. Meaning you do pay upfront and get refunded if you decide to leave. NOTE: The Basic package (~47 / month) doesn't allow you to do Estimates or To-Dos. Check it out and give it a go. I did all of my billing for 40+ projects in under 1 hour! Billing used to take me 3 working days to do and NEVER went out on the 1st of the month, EVER. I would pay for this service just for the billing capabilities.

Pros

We started using Service Autopilot December 2016 and it has streamlined our operations! Frees up so much time that we didn't have before and not sure why we waited so long to make the move. Routing capabilities, dispatch board, crew manangment, invoicing. Its a CRM that continues to get better. The best benefit... it has allowed us to focus more on the business so we can grow faster!

Cons

It took a little time to set up but that's really not an issue. For us, we waited to long to make the switch to SA.

Pros: Great concept to provide one system that runs entire company. Always improving the system. They fix bugs fairly quick. Cons: System is slow and clunky. Bugs are common. No App. Only a mobile website. Major Con: They charge $15 per user. I dropped $45 worth of users in November. Confirmed via chat support that they were dropped off my bill. I was charged December through March for the users I wasn't using and was confirmed to be dropped by THEIR employee. I called to get the charges credited to my account considering they were at fault due to misinformation. I was told they can't refund. I insisted. The vice president called me the next day and left a voice mail saying he would credit me $90 out of the $180 they owe me. I called back to get the full $180 and was denied. I then asked to speak with the vice president again. He has yet to call me back a week later. I will be leaving this company over $90. I am a long time customer and have been loyal until this point.

I really like the web based interface and the ability to work from virtually anywhere. It makes billing much easier since the workers clock in and out of jobs and invoices are generated automatically

Cons

Setting it up is very time consuming and tedious if not done exactly correct it a pain to figure out where something went wrong.

I signed up 2 months ago and have been migrating out of 5!! other systems that I was using to do what SA does all in one. I am saving $500/month by consolidating into SA. That doesn't even start to value the headaches I've eliminated. The features are extremely robust. Basically, if you wished it did something, ask. It does. The customer service is out of this world. The user experience is very intuitive. And the fact that I found a bug and asked for it to be fixed and it was fixed in a few days blew me away. I feel like haven't even scratched the surface and I'm LOVING it!

Pros

ease of use intuitive user experience super flexible and allows you to have tons of separate screens open at one time and doesn't crash.

Cons

I would like more flexibility in dashboards for employee views. I would like more flexibility and detail for paying employees. But I may just not know how to do those things yet.

Easy to navigate and look up customers. Customer support is awesome and readily available to help out at any time. If they don't know the answer they will return your call as soon as they find it out. Also have a lot of tutorial videos to help with software knowledge.

Cons

This product as so many features it literally takes months to figure out what all it can do. This isn't a true con but you don't know what you don't know.

Service Autopilot is one of the better dispatch software out there. I own a home cleaning service and it works very well. The company is constantly upgrading and adding new features. The president runs his own entrepreneur's group in which feedback on SA is constant. Pros: From the moment you capture a lead, the software takes over from automating estimates, converting, scheduling, dispatching and invoicing. Full two-way QB sycn (desktop). I have not seen any other software out there that will sync both ways. This is extremely helpful because on startup SA will load up all your client's information and history so you don't have to load them up. Also, I accept payments through the QB e-check services which is then fed to SA. You can batch charge credit cards. Say you have 50 clients that pay by credit card. Instead of charging each one individually, you just hit a button and SA does the rest. Mobile APP works great for the cleaners. They get all their work instructions automatically to their phones and can start and stop jobs. Cons: The mobile APP works great for the cleaners but is not so great for the managers. SA does not work very well on tablets although it works fine on a surface pro

difficult learning curve. They have videos to help, and one on one web cast session and group session to help, but mastering this could take some time.

It's not going to be helpful if I don't provide at least some constructive criticism, but it's hard to do that as SAP is an awesome system. I worked as a customer service manger with both the Tappan Appliance Co and with Frigidaire and helped design requirements and test functionality of service finished goods and WMS systems over a period of 40 years. I lived using SAP, it was an awesome enterprise system for lawn care. And at the price, it's an excellent value. OK, one "little" criticism - sometimes it seemed like updates were implement into production without sufficient testing. Back in the old mainframe days, there was extensive power testing on a beta system before implementation. But when "bugs" were found they were quickly fixed. Will miss working with SAP and your staff. If I were younger - can't change that - I would totally enjoy participating in your customer feedback, user forums. Good Luck guys. Chuck Snyder
