Pros: At one time, providing computer technical support for business clients, friends and family was the major part of my work life. Over the years I tried numerous so-called "remote control" softwares. Hit or miss, they mostly missed the mark and made working remotely more painful than enjoyable. I wasn't truly satisfied until I encountered TeamViewer. They somehow got it right. These days I spend less time doing remote support for business and more for friends and family. For non-commercial use, TeamViewer is totally free so I use it to help them out when needed.

Some features I really like:

TeamViewer doesn't get hung when opening larger applications. For example, I've opened Microsoft Word and LibreOffice, both of which are resource-heavy applications, edited documents and spreadsheets, then saved them without any issues.

The file manager is not too shabby. I've moved thousands of files from one location to another on the remote computer without hiccups. Regular screen-draws on the other end appear the way they should with decent clarity and in focus. Fonts are very readable (and looking pretty close to what was intended).

For purposes of documentation, there are three features I've relied on at different times: the chat messaging function, the ability to record a session especially when trying to figure out what went wrong during a particular process, and viewable log files.

Cons: In my opinion, the "cons" aren't many and the "pros" far outweigh them. Admittedly, TeamViewer is a little slow when doing anything movement intensive. Screen-sharing could use some improvement. And the file manager isn't the prettiest (could definitely use a design overhaul).

The biggest complaint I've had about TeamViewer has always been that it is too expensive for a very small business (think microbusiness or solopreneur). At the time I really had a need for it in my one-person firm, I would have gladly paid a monthly fee for access (those lesser softwares offered monthly plans!). So I resorted to using the weaker remote support softwares for commercial endeavors and used TeamViewer for personal friends and family. Shame.

Overall: TeamViewer is operating system agnostic. I'm grateful it is NOT just for Windows. As a Linux user (as well as a Windows user) one huge benefit for me is that TeamViewer has a native Linux implementation. And they have iOS and Android apps. This means I can provide support remotely from any of my computers and even my phone or tablet. (But I'm not a big fan of doing sensitive work from a phone!)

Another benefit is the interface: it is so simple that asking the person who is receiving remote support to do anything in it doesn't freak them out. (A calm end-user makes helping them out a much easier undertaking!)

TeamViewer offers "contact management" but it is not a contact manager in the way we usually think of contact management. When it's time to offer support to long-standing clients (or friends or family) it's nice to have their contact details -- as they relate to accessing their computer -- only a few clicks away.

I haven't ever had a need to use the collaboration features for groups -- no group meetings or group chats -- so can't speak to how well those are implemented or whether Teamviewer does a better job than other apps designed for those purposes.

Overall, TeamViewer is my go-to solution for remote desktop control.

Pros: For years now I have come to know one thing. If you consistently work with multiple systems there are going to be times when you can't find something only for it to be on another system. For this reason Teamviewer is an awesome software. I have been using Teamviewer since 2011 and its uses far out scope its cost. Its free for non-business use and the features for business are great.

The most awesome thing is that you don't even need to install their software to help someone. They only need to download and run the install as software. This makes it easy to remotely use access any computer and assist friends and family. If you choose to install you can configure unattended access which keeps your system online and makes remotely connecting as simple as clicking on the remote pc's name. The VPN service make it possible to network via the cloud and share network services. Finally it can also be use for conferencing and remote presentations which can save time for those who work on the move like myself.

The most recent update have added a host of security features ensuring that your account is protected from unauthorised logins and usage. This was a well needed addition given the nature of the software.

Cons: Account Authorization can become tedious as you will need to authorise every new computer you wish to access your services from. Also their is no message or warning (as of review) that shows that your login is block by this feature.

They use to have a web browser service but its no longer available and I do miss that feature.

Overall: Teamviewer key features are VPN, Remote Desktop, Web Conferencing.

Pros: I like that it is a very simple software to use, it is easy to configure to take remote control. The remote file manager is simple. It allows access to computers even if they are blocked in their respective systems sessions in Windows. I like that I can configure a unique password for connections in the free version. I have been able to control equipment from my iphone, since the version of this program on iOS works very well, it is very stable. The stability of the application in general is enviable. I also like that it is easy to recognize when you are in the remote session and when you are in the local session. It is possible to chat through the tool, which facilitates the assistance process just as you can talk to the user using the same software. There is a record of the connections made, which gives security when using it. Additionally, it works very well for remote "training" since the remote application management from the local session is absolute. It has a very effective reconnection process when the connection is lost -for example when we connect a network cable and were connected by WIFI-. The sending of key combinations, are very useful and varied, I have worked very well.

Cons: I do not like much of the operation of the file manager, when you take control from a windows to a mac, it can be confusing because it does not look the same as the target platform. I have not seen a GPO - at least not easily - that allows us to define in what equipment and sessions it is installed and allowed, when we are using it in an active directory environment. I have noticed that it asks for a new version, to be able to make the connections and this can be a problem, because normally it asks for them when we are going to make the connection, instead of being automatically updating the software.

Overall: I have managed to help many colleagues and friends remotely. Some in other countries, just use teamviewer. This saves costs and improves the experience of our coworkers and makes us more effective as an organization.

Pros: What I like about TeamViewer is the great speed it has when making the remote access connection, the quality of the video it has is quite interesting and has a nice color quality that greatly improves the customer's view, speed with which the shared video works, it is quite good because it does not matter if you own a computer with low resources, in the same way the program will go smoothly and with excellent quality. I really like the interface that this program has, since it is compact, organizes all its characteristics and factors very well and organizes the remote connection and conferences very well.

Cons: TeamViewer is a pretty good software that gives the best quality and speed of video to its clients, but nevertheless, it has neglected the area of file transfer, remote access is characterized by communication, remote management and successful transfer of the files, and since they have made a lot of dedication to the remote connection, they have neglected the transfer of files without knowing that this factor is the most important of all because it facilitates in an excellent way the sending of information through a shared network, if TeamViewer It makes a considerable amount of improvements to this factor, this software would be the best in remote access.

Overall: This software has benefited me a lot because I have managed to maintain a remote connection with all the employees of my company and in this way share necessary information for all of them, I have also been able to make several conferences with many owners of companies abroad, and thus be able to perform contracts and agreements without having to move from my place of work

Pros: TeamViewer it's easy to use, can be installed on multiple OS and allow control any computer from any part in the world, comes with free license to personal use, so you can control your home computer, office computer, etc, also offer control from mobile devices, so you can access your computer and files easy from your mobile.

Cons: Even if TeamViewer it's easy to control and install, the process to connect to other computers it's a little difficult sometimes, the username and assigned pass could not be changed easy from others that don't use teamviewer frequently, could be a GREAT feature to access any computer using a QR code like Whatsapp, or make the access more easy to not tech people.

What about a device to turn On my computer from distance, a wifi relay or something, by that way we can turn on and off the computer and access literally any time from anywhere.

Overall: I use TeamViewer all day, I also travel a lot so I need to access my files, even if I use cloud systems like Mega or Box, the files system from teamviewer because show me my files in the way I manage and use my computer so, it's easy to know where it is each of my files and that grade of comfort can't be offered by no one, that's why I love TeamViewer, I feel in home and secure, also I use it to help anyone with their computers, I explain that they can manage the access and no one can view or control their computer if they don't allow control and my friends and family love it, so I can help anyone from anywhere.

If you like total control and comfort to access your computer and files, TeamViewer it's your secure selection.

Pros: I like that Team Viewer has free and paid options for users versus enterprise, it ensures that you have a quality product, but does not then price-gouge the occasional user. Team Viewer is a great alternative for screen sharing when you are able to have the time to figure out the tools, or have an IT Staff who are able to set it up for you and then train you for a simple navigation. I have had good success with companies contacting me through Team Viewer, but never in the other direction.

Cons: There are several things I did not like about Team Viewer. First, Team Viewer is very clunky to use. In terms of just setting up an account, there were steps that we (me and IT) did online and on the application, which also duplicated themselves. There were authorizations that seemed unnecessary. After downloading, the launched application still had to "okay" the computer, with further steps authorizing the machine through email, which were already done as part of setup. We acquired Team Viewer to share a work machine and a personal machine, with the personal account being the initiating account on the work machine, and the work account being the recipient. Due to, as Support said, too many similar characters in the two emails, they were flagged as being from the same organization even though the domains were completely different. Even with support, the issue was not resolvable. The screen sharing is extremely slow on a fairly open (no one was working) 300 mg pipe, which flies for everything else. In the end, we decided it was easier to work with two work machines for what we were trying to do, acquired a few external HDs and just used Remote Desktop. I have had success with other companies contacting me through Team Viewer, but have never been able to initiate back to them. Again, despite supports help, it is like my account is "flagged" to always be from organization to organization with little hope of resolution.

Overall: For within an organization, the product is great for screen sharing, but outside it is just clunky.

Pros: I love the functionality and features that TeamViewer offers. I have installed it on different family member's computers so I can remote in and offer them assistance whenever necessary. I can see when their computer is on or off. I can log in when they aren't using it and perform maintenance when necessary.

I also love being able to access my home computers, home servers, and laptop wherever I am it. I can even gain access using my cell phone for those "emergency situations". Cell phone use is not great, but can get you by in a pinch when someone needs help on something simple.

I love the feature set available when you are logged in. Passing key combinations to the remote computer, changing screen resolution, chat, and lots of other items are amazing to have. I like that I can simply disconnect and know that the remote computer will get locked automatically.

Cons: I don't like that I can't remote into a computer behind the scenes. If I am at work and I remote into my home computer, anyone sitting at my desk will see what I am doing. There is no way to hide my actions or work behind a locked screen. I really want the ability to do that when the case calls for it.

The software is not easy to setup nor is it intuitive. Make one wrong move and you could end up paying for something you don't really want. The UI is not that great, but once you have it figured out, it's pretty easy to control.

Pros: We have been using TeamViewer for approximately the last 2 years.

If you prefer, you can download a small file that allows a one-time-use to give another individual access to your computer for a specific task. I've called software companies and needed tech support, and I've had them use TeamViewer this way. And when they're done you delete the file and it's off your machine. No account necessary. I also have received support from my outside Tech consultant in this way. If I need something upgraded on the computers that I can't handle, they log into my computer when I sit there and they fix the problem for me.

You can also create an account that has more security, uses two-factor verification, tokens, and keep track of multiple computers which you can log into even when they are unattended, as long as you keep TeamViewer running on the other end. As it forces me to log in with a time-sensitive code and authentification program, it feels pretty safe to me, and I've never had a problem.

We use QuickBooks, but don't want to pay for the cloud version. So when I need to, I can log into the computer at my office that's running it remotely, and run reports or create entries from home. and you can choose to log in right through the TeamViewer website to a browser, so the other computer is accessible from anywhere. It's saved me in a pinch multiple times, and kept me from having to purchase cloud-based versions of other programs that were beyond my budget.

Cons: I don't really see a downside to the program. I remember a year or two ago there were some security concerns, but a lot of this seemed to have to do with how stringent you are in how you choose to allow remote access to your computer. With the two-factor authentification and the use of security tokens, and the proper security settings on TeamViewer on my computer, I think it would be pretty darn difficult for somebody else to gain access to my computer. Just take the extra precautions even if it takes you an extra moment to login, and the peace of mind is worth it.

Pros: I like that it works on any OS platform. I've proven that it works very well from your iOS APP with desktop computers, to provide good support. I've noticed that in that use, it does not consume a lot of mobile data and does not demand large amounts of mobile resources. In the desktop application, I like that it is very easy to use, it is easy to explain to the remote user that he should only open the application and indicate the ID and Password, after a few sessions, when the user asks for help, he already has it open and knows the data that we will ask. I like that I can place a personalized password to the teams which allows me to open the sessions remotely without intervention.

Cons: I have noticed that in the free version, when I connect to computers that are managed and I need to type the user and password of the administrator, the user appears, but to the one who is remotely, no. This makes it difficult to install applications, since you have to use a different procedure to install the applications. In the Windows version, the installation process should be very simple, as well as the option to indicate to the user that it is only a question of taking remote control and not of an installation that requires special permits. The internal chat must be more intuitive.

Overall: We have managed to help many of our internal clients in a fast and effective way.

Pros: I've used TeamViewer to remotely access both my own computer when I'm away and an office computer when I'm at home. I worked for a sole practitioner lawyer part-time for many years and he would get very frustrated when he couldn't figure something out on his computer, so I'd get a phone call or message, and I'd dial into his computer to fix the problem remotely. Sometimes in the evening he would leave work for me to remotely access up on his computer, and his computer on and not in standby mode, and I would log in and be able to work overnight on the things he'd left me during the day. I could also dial in and see whether he was playing Solitaire on his computer or actually working, as he could be easily distracted. There's file sharing and conferencing ability. And something else that was helpful - I could dial into my home computer and access the camera and see what was going on when I wasn't there. This was very helpful for me in discovering which roommate was stealing from me! The application has to be installed on both computers, so it's not like you use this program to hack other people's computers or anything like that. And there are settings permission controls on the accessed side which allows you to set up whether permission needs to be obtained for each access or if you have full authority. Very versatile and there's probably a lot more I could be doing with it, if I really thought about it, but it's great app and very useful for remote workers.

Cons: Actually, I can't really say anything negative about it. It does what it's supposed to do, and as I mention above, helpful in unexpected ways as well.

Pros: Free for personal usage.

The best thing about teamviewer is that it's totally free for personal use! You don't need to pay anything to use it for personal use and thats the best pro among other remote control tools.

Teamviewer is very easy to use.

Even my grandma could install and use this software with simple instructions. Everything is list on the front of the software so you don't have to go inside to find anything. Very easy to use by anyone with basic computer skills.

Easy to transfer files.

Teamviewer has implemented a very easy file transfer system. You can just copy-paste or drag-drop files to send to a remote PC and you are good to go. This is the best feature because it makes everything easy to use.

Extremely stable software.

Teamviewer is extremely stable tool to use. I have never seen teamviewer crash in my years of usage. Also, it's very low on system resources in terms of streaming live.

Cons: Client to Host file transfer needs to be improved.

Teamviewer is secure software, so as for the security of client data, they have managed to make sure a host can drag files from the client window. I think, they need to implement a pin/password for the drag-drop file transfer because crawling in directory and transfering files takes time.

The pricing of business version could be a bit lower for startup companies.

Their multi-session rate is a little high for a company that has just started. But, the rate can be justified from the features.

Overall: There is no other viable and easy to use alternative for teamviewer. Teamviewer has saved me a lot money to travel down to my home from workplace. It has made my life relaxing.

Pros: As someone who works at IT, and that needs to solve clients issues from time to time, TeamViewer is one of the most useful tools for remote access out there.

I have been using this software for a while, and you might think I am biased because I got used to it, but I have not tried anything else that delivers with such simplicity.

I started using TeamViewer to solve online gaming issues for my friends (The Free version), and for gaming in general. It does not consume much RAM and allows you to play games as you stay connected and speak to your friends, it basically allows you to multitask.

It might look tricky at first, but getting connected is easy and something anyone can learn on the fly. The Toolbar is easy to use, and comes with some remote access essential trouble-shooting tools such as the Device Manager, command prompt, among other quicklinks to certain Control Panel sections.

It is the most secured remote connection software, being known for having a well encrypted system and accessing someone's computer requires a set of steps in order to guarantee safety.

Is available in multiple platforms, including PC, Mac, Android, iOs, among others.

There is a Free version for no commercial use, and there is not much of a difference between the freeware and the business version in terms of features.

Cons: The data transfer host needs improvement.

It might be annoying for free users to get the business version advertisement sometimes after finishing a session.

Overall: TeamViewer is definetely the best software for remote access, it has allowed me to help both friends and clients alike.

Pros: Teamviewer is one of the best remote desktop connections i have used for my company; One of the positive side is that its free!!, using the free version to connect to idle workstations to monitor system processes; Secondly, the security, have a token to login in to to a remote pc and be able to transfer file securely between two workstations; Third, to be able to make notes for clients when audio is at the best, i can open an application such as Notepad, and type some notes for the clients of what steps i am going to follow;Fourth, Teamviewer is accessible across all platforms such as a mobile version, windows, mac, linux and etc. In the mobile version, Teamviewer is very easy to navigate the mouse using my finger.

Cons: One of the downside is, the support i think Teamviewer's support is at the best since the customer reps lack the knowledge to the product. I wish they better trained thier ppl about the product and the common issues that come up using Teamviewer

Overall: The benefits of using Teamviewer is the security, ability to download Teamviewer across all platforms, the speed and reliability, easy of use, its free, and more importantly its one of the best remote desktop connections out there in the market. Teamviewer always make improvements in the product such as updates to fix any issues that come up. I recommend other users to use Teamviewer.

Pros: The thing I like most about this software is the ease of use, no matter where I'm at. If I'm stuck at some place for a while and I need to let a program run for a download or something of that sorts, I can use the Teamviewer app on my phone to access my PC with teamviewer on it, I can access other PC's with teamviewer on it from my own PC, and transfer files as well in case I need a certain file, or help someone out with a trouble they may be facing in software or on their PC in general.

Cons: The thing I liked least about teamviewer is the issue where if you have a network, you have to remember to check the remember password on this network. There have been times where I have wanted to access one of my devices and I forgot to do so, so I wasn't able to get logged into my device despite the current device and the device I was trying to access being on the same network. I do get it though, since most people use this with multiple people, however with a personal use license and an option for the network administrator, I think there should be something where they can choose if they want to allow connections for all devices on the network without a password being needed, so we can avoid the headache of a mistake that we made when setting up a new device on the network.

Overall: One business problem I am solving with teamviewer is, if I forget an important file that I need on my other computer, and I leave my other computer on, of course, I can just simply transfer that file over to my phone or another computer and not have to worry about it. I have used the personal use license to also help out a friend with software troubles and fix it without having to walk them through it and take longer than it would to just do it myself.

Pros: Since 2007, I have been using Team Viewer and this solution helped us a lot, particularly when I was working in my previous organization. The simple way of connecting by using an identity and password is really cute. As a business analyst, this tool was helpful when we have to look at existing solutions deployed onsite. Also during enterprise custom solutions delivery, many times, the team can not redeploy the work in progress site, onsite for demo and evaluation purpose and this great tool was of great help to us. Another beauty of the tool is to use as a platform for online meetings particularly when low bandwidth is anticipated. I believe the best part of this solution is ease in setup and highly intuitive interface. We have seen Team Viewer working even with unstable internet connectivity. Liked the way it gets reconnected once the internet is back. Team Viewer may be the best solution for anybody in software and services space to work remotely. So far I have used only on Windows OS but heard about its performance in Linux OS.

Cons: Observed that a series of updates are coming and sometimes get confused with the releases. Probably, a better way of communicating could address this dilemma. Somebody with a basic understanding of remote support tools can use Team Viewer. However ab average use may be utilising10% of features and there is a space for better utilization with much more customer education. Another observation is the pace in file transfer, particularly when we try to upload large files.

Pros: Another very versatile and high performance software that allows the rapprochement between the different members of our editorial group in the diaspora, and this is possible thanks to its amazing remote access that allows our technicians in the area of computer science to be able to attend live the different editions of audio and video according to the interests and results that we look for in our editorial.

Thanks to Teamviewer we have been able to install in the computers of our worshippers other software necessary to capture the best audiovisual moment; we have also achieved thanks to this software to be able to proceed in our agenda when we have worshippers and musicians, who for one reason or another from their geographical spaces can not make adjustments in their computer to achieve certain results. We also use Teamviewer in our internal team, because our IT department has several support functions in different publishers, thanks to this software we are attended in real time thanks to the remote assistance, very useful and beneficial to solve different problems in the use of software, programs, or programming of our website.

Cons: There is no better attention than attendance. Although Teamviewer helps to reduce distances only with a computer and internet connection, sometimes we are deeply limited because we need real time assistance to solve physical problems of our pc, therefore, we must wait on many occasions when the technician is unemployed and can reach our offices to address the problems of the team.

Overall: A software perfectly necessary for any company, consortium organization, and in our case, editorial project. Teamviewer is an excellent support software that considerably reduces distances and allows the establishment of a globalized work platform. In the 21st century, this globalizing element is of utmost importance because it allows to establish a fair competition between different companies and professionals seeking to expose their work and work experience. Teamviewer simply makes part of this goal a reality. Use it, you won't regret it.

Pros: Easy to setup, seriously, it is a breeze. As little lag as possible, which is expected of any remote tool. The chat function is cool, making remote support easy. I use it mostly though for remote desktop, so I have made good use of the file transfer tool, which is quite self-explanatory. I know there is remote printing and VPN services, but I have yet to use either.

Better yet, there is a portable version for flash drives for use on machines that will not let you install without administrative rights, which the full version requires.

Cons: The file transfer tool can be a bit slow, in either direction regardless of the connection. In my experience sending from remote to local seems faster (upload?) than the other way around (download?). The Chrome app is still a partial wrapper and still forces you to log in via the web console if you don't know your unique ID and password. The smartphone app is only useful for simple tasks, try not to use it like the tablet/desktop/web versions.

Overall: For me, it makes it easy to leave my laptop at my house and turn it into a laptop as a desktop setup and be able to remote in anywhere. In the past, I had to carry flash drives or portable hard drives but sometimes they broke.

Pros: Teamviewer has a top notch user interface, is exceptionally reliable, & is packed full of features.

This is the only remote access software I have on my PCs. Ive used a variety of remote access programs and TeamViewer is the only one that I can trust to always be operating when I need it.

Furthermore, TeamViewer has an incredible user interface; the most impressive operating being their cell phone application through which I can perform moderately complex tasks from a 6-inch screen easily.

Lastly, TeamViewer has every feature you can want to remote access. If you want to remote access your cell phone, run TeamViewer off of a USB stick, or create a separate window for each of the remote PCs monitors you can do it. More importantly, user interface allows these functions to be utilized with little to no prior knowledge of the program.

Cons: TeamViewer appears to require a little more processing power than other remote access software's and is bit more expensive. However, trading a nominal amount of processing power and paying a little extra is hardly an afterthought as TeamViewer truly is the best-in-class remote access software.

Pros: TeamViewer allows you to take remote control of equipment quickly, easily and efficiently using two types of communication methods. The first consists in taking remote control of a team by means of a dynamic IP and Password assigned by the same TeamViewer, thus guaranteeing a reliable and stable communication between the involved teams. This connection method is highly recommended for a temporary remote control. On the other hand, if a fixed remote control is desired on a team, TeamViewer offers a second method of connection that consists in the creation of an account on the page of this tool, allowing to establish communication with the desired equipment through the login of the user's account With this second method of connection, a fast and practical remote control over equipment that is used constantly is guaranteed.

In addition, TeamViewer allows the transfer of files between the involved teams, it also offers the option of transferring quick commands between the teams, which facilitates the user's remote maintenance and support.

The installation of TeamViewer is light, does not take up much memory space for all the functions it offers, including administration and backups that can be done between computers.

Cons: TeamViewer communication between teams is unstable in case of using the communication method with IP and Dynamic Password, because if communication with the Internet is lost, another password will be created automatically, blocking the previous connection.

It is not possible to use this tool without access to the internet.

The equipment remote control is limited to two connections.

Pros: - Free for Personal Use

- Frequent Updates & New Functionality

- Quick download

- Secure and Safe

- I FEEL secure and safe using it.

- Remote Support ( For businesses)

- Price for Businesses is great

- Amazing screen sharing ( Desktop & Mobile)

- Record Sessions

Cons: - A few times I have been disconnected and not able to log in right away but I can't blame TeamViewer 100%.

Honestly for a software like this I don't have any other Con's!

Overall: In my personal usage of this, it is great! I can log onto my desktop at home if I need anything or if I need to log on to anything so my family can use it. At the business end of things, I have used it in my business to talk to clients about different features and help resolve issues that they are having. It's a lot easier to log in remote to their desktop and SEE what is happening and troubleshoot it from there instead of them describing it on the phone or in an e-mail. I have also been a part of a company that uses this software every hour of every day to help with their customer support. With their complex software they are using customers love that they can log in and walk them step by step through the process. They can also record the session and send to the customer so if they have this issue again they can walk through the process. TeamViewer is my choice above any other software.

Pros: Teamviewer is a fast remote control software and made remote administration easy. I have tried other remote control software and each have their own distinct issues but remote control, file transfer, and connectivity is fast.

Cons: During the trial period TV was seamless and connects to any client without any issues. After the version change, the same install would all of a sudden became problematic when connecting behind the firewall. I find it really strange that none of these issues are apparent during the trial but once we purchased the software and the version became older we started to experience connectivity with the remote hosts. It's really picky and we had to open up ports on the firewall even when it worked with the same configuration before.

Then software constantly nags about it being used illegally. We purchased a commercial license and it doesn't like when the remote host is running a full version of TV (even when running the same version number, eg. all version 11). We need to install a host version of the software instead of the full version for it to stop the nagging.

Overall: Ease of remote administration.

Pros: I love that I can even use the phone app to control my computer. I can access my files from anywhere and not have to move them from computer to computer. Plus, I update it in one place and the changes are there. No more multiple versions of the same file. I also use the remote control feature a lot to show end users how to perform specific tasks when I introduce new procedures or documents. It is far and above better than trying to verbally walk someone through something and both users operating blind. It has expedited tasks tenfold which frees me up to do other things. The meeting feature has become one of my newest to test and so far I have had positive responses all the way around!

Cons: Sometimes when I am using my mobile device I can experience a lag but it is hard to determine if that is because of TeamViewer or may be a connection issue. Otherwise, I don't really have a con, so to speak.

Overall: Remote access saves a tremendous amount of time driving from place to place, plus I can connect with people out of my general area, out of state, or even out of country and it is like we are all right in the room!

Pros: Teamviewer's OS agnostic system is about as convenient and reliable as remote access systems come. From 'unattended access', strong (allegedly even NSA-proof) encryption (SNOWDEN leaks) and 2FA through to great bandwidth management, easy installation, wake-on-lan and file transfer functionalities, it is always my go-to tool. The free for non-commercial use is great for home use (but a tad frustrating if it detects commercial use just because you use Windows server at home).

Cons: Cost is becoming increasingly difficult to justify at work. It is disproportionately expensive against other similar tools, the justification seems to be the addition of non-essential recent additions (IT Brain etc.) which to someone who requires just simple remote access through NAT could be considered bloatware. I use the product primarily for its simplicity and convenience but if the price goes up any more I will be forced to trade convenience for a combination of other free methods. Perhaps it's time for Teamviewer Lite with access to as many endpoints but with fewer sysadmin features.

Pros: Teamviewer is really very easy to use. It has multiple features that you can use without paying a single penny. It has paid version also but the best part is that if you want to use it individually or for a small home based business you can opt for its free version. The best thing I like most about this software is its remote support in which you can access another system screen and can operate it with your system. Another feature that teamviewer is offering its chat system in which you can add an email id as contact and you can chat within your team without relying on the same location. Another thing is, it is also offering a mobile app, you can install it on your phone and you can use it on your phone. Apart from this, it has meetings feature, group chat feature, conferences, video calling etc. In short, it is a good software.

Cons: Everything is good in this software. But sometimes in the free version, it says that the license is expired and in that case, we can not access the system remotely.

Overall: Overall I had a great experience with teamviewer.

Pros: Makes collaboration very easy across multiple locations - cost efficient and straight forward. Allows you to remotely control, transfer documents, or even 'monitor' operations on various devices as long as everyone has stable internet connection! Easy solution for small business owner who doesn't have a big budget for collaboration tools, also has a trial period to test out the features. Lets you communicate through a small chat between devices.

Cons: Doesn't have an 'invisible' monitoring feature so that the remote device can't see what your doing/looking at, but it's not designed as a big brother monitoring tool anyways. Would be nice to have integration with video if needed for additional meeting features. If you don't have reliable internet connection, then connecting between devices is troublesome and sometimes a little slow.

Overall: Makes my job easier - I don't have to wait for other team members to email me documents or reports - I can access all my locations easily from any of my devices. Relatively straight forward for my team members that are not very tech-savvy while still having features for the advanced user.

Our organization's tech contractor has me use Team Viewer to connect daily to a computer remotely.

Pros: With only a few clicks, I've made an easy connection to a remote computer. The session box and action toolbar are easily hidden to get out of my way. It seems to have a lot of features, that if I learned them could be useful. I like the "Reboot" option, so I can easily, remotely Reboot the computer -- and Team Viewer gives me a pop-up box to tell me how that is working.

Cons: First, the disconnect X to close the Team Viewer session is in the same location (upper right corner of the screen) as any other windows X to close. So I often accidentally close my remote link when I only wanted to close a document!

Second, I cannot reset the size of my remote computer screen - it seems my email is in 6pt font. Recently, Team Viewer offered an upgrade that changed so much of how I see my remote computer screen. I get an increase in size but is not viewable correctly (text runs off the screen, so I need to scroll to see it). I reverted back to the older version, because the scrolling was disruptive.

Overall: I am able to connect to my remote computer without having much technical knowledge/experience.

Pros: reliability of software , ease of use ans user friendliness these are main strong points are of team viewer according to me. I often use to access remote machine/computer using Team viewer . Sometime from home to office or vice-versa. Team viewer gave me option to access my office computer from which helped many times of urgency when I needed to access computer after office hours. Not only it's PC version is good but Mobile App is also as good as PC version. Though I only used Android version my review is limited to Android version only. There other remote access softwares are also in market like ammyadmin etc. but Team viewer is my favorite . Till now there is no complaint from my end.

Cons: though there are many good points in favor of this software I personally think File transfer option should be improved. Sometimes it is very hard to transfer file from remote machine to base machine.

Overall: In my job field there are many incident happened when I need to access my office computer due to some urgency of work requirement after office hours. So using Team viewer I was able to access my office computer and had done my work. It is very easy to use and very reliable software to do so. Till now I never experienced that Team viewer has been crashed due to some problems like other softwares. So I find it very reliable for my personal use. Though file transfer for big size files are not so good but I do need that option very often so I am ok with that. Overall very good experience with Team Viewer

Pros: The best thing about TeamViewer is of course it's cross-platform feature. I use TeamViewer to control a bunch of remote Windows and Mac servers, that are used as mostly build and test environments. What I like the most is ability to control my remote devices from my mobile phone. As I am a person who travels a lot, mobile version allows me to perform quick recovery operations or consult my coworkers even when I don't have access to my laptop. Recent chat and voice call features enhancements are really cool. I use them a few times per month mostly for knowledge sharing sessions with my coworkers.

Cons: Sometimes client version at remote machines gets out of with one installed on my laptop, that makes me unable to connect to my remote servers. Disabling automatic updates is pretty tricky and impossible to perform via remote command. I also needed to perform a tricky configuration before I was able to upload files to my remote macs.

Overall: I got cross-platform piece of software that allowed my to control our remote server meeting our corporate standards

Pros: TeamViewer ran so smoothly for me. I used it on a daily basis for approx. 8 hours a day for a year and never had any major issues with it. It enabled me to perform remotely the same job I did for several years in the office. There are multiple purchase options, and even a fantastic free version, though the free version is not available to business customers. The file transfer feature works wonderfully and uses a simple interface that allows you to choose exactly where to transfer files between computers.

Cons: Printing from the remote-controlled printer to a local printer has certain requirements that not all printers have. (This is not true of certain alternatives which enable you to print from any printer connected to your pc). TeamViewer, while simple and smooth, occasionally and abruptly disconnect. The biggest con, for me and my company, was the price. There are cheaper alternatives that run just as well, and offer certain features that TeamViewer does not. And those options are much cheaper.

Overall: Overall, TeamViewer is a great product. It performed well a majority of the time. It ran smoothly and I was able to perform my job perfectly while working remotely. If you choose to use TeamViewer, I believe you will be happy with it.

Pros: We like Teamviewer due to many reason. Firstly, it is secure, your sessions are always encrypted AND it had 2 factor authentication. Secondly, it is fast, so what you see is exactly what the other person does without any lag. Third, it is reliable. I want to know that when i need to get onto a computer to support the end user or do maintenance, teamviewer will be running and that i can get on to the computer. Four, it has clipboard copying and file transfer. Five, you can add all your computer to your account so you don't need to remember hundreds of Teamviewer ID's and shows when computers are offline and offline.

Cons: I don't like the new pricing Teamviewer has used on Teamviewer 13. It used to be that if you purchased the version, you can continue to use it forever as long as you stay on that version. (Teamviewer 12 can log in to a computer running Teamviewer 12). With 13, now they are trying to do a subcription based license so you HAVE to renew every year to continue using Teamviewer.

Overall: Fast, Secure and Reliable remote support.

Comments: It is an exceptional tool for every person that use and a PC in the work, or in their house. It is very simple to install and use, and at the same time y very powerful because you can do almost every thing remotely. You do not need to be a guru to used and take advantage of this tool.

Pros: In the consortium where I work, for the most part, it is very difficult to take a break. There are 3 shifts at work and the consortium works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For this reason it is important for our Teamviewer performance.

The reason is simple. Thanks to this software we can receive remote assistance not only from the Information Technology Department, but also from the staff that for one reason or another needs to move from their job and then have to attend another of their colleagues.

Actually it is quite useful, because not only do we have the authorized remote access only to the members of the consortium, but we also receive remote assistance necessary to solve the operational problems of our PC, or some percanse for the liberation of conraseñas of access to our domain, without having to go directly to the workstation where these tasks are going to be done.

I fully recommend this software

Cons: The only problem that we have with Teamviewer is that, when there are problems with Internet connectivity, the software is inoperative, causing us great problems when it comes to continuing to do our routines with remote assistance.

Overall: Personally I recommend this program, without a doubt it revolutionized not only the operability in my work but also gave us a new perspective on how we can work. Without a doubt, a success.

Pros: There isn't much NOT to love about TeamViewer - it is truly one of the most well thought and laid out remote assistance programs I've ever used. If I had to narrow down some favorites I would have to say that the speed/ease of which a client can be connected AND the ability to log into my saved systems from my account are my favorite features. Obviously when someone is having a problem, the last thing they need to go through is an overly complicated connection process. TeamViewer makes it very fast and easy to get loaded and connected with your client. I operate off several desktops in my office, each with TeamViewer on them, and I love the fact that my saved systems are only a single click away AND are updated across all my systems.

Cons: As I'm sure is the same for everyone, the price is what always kills me with TeamViewer. There are so many great remote support applications out there, and inevitably I always have a few customers a month that can't get running on one or the other for some reason - so maintaining 2 different subscriptions to 2 different remote support applications (minimum) is a must for anyone serious about client help. The high cost of TeamViewer is the single biggest issue I have with them. Their software is great, no doubt, but at that price I always question it.

Overall: Nearly flawless remote support connections to clients.

Pros: i have been using this software for debugging issue with customers via desktop sharing and taking control of customer desktop. it works good i can send or receive the files as much size as i wanted and didn't face any issue with respect to file size to be shared till now. Sometime it become slow(desktop sharing) but if you have good internet connection then you might see this issue. it is easy to use also free versions are available. it is secure and sessions are always encrypted. We can add all our computer to our account so we don't need to remember Teamviewer ID's and shows when computers are offline and online. It is also available as an APP( i am using on Android).

Cons: Price is high making it an expensive buy that many companies cannot justify also it is little heavy software in terms of resource usage on your machine as compared to other software in the same category which in turns can make your other task slow running on your machine. otherwise its a good to go with.

Pros: You are able to assign computers to your login id, making remote access quick and easy as well as secure (multi-factor authentication, can set up passwords to gain remote access, etc). Furthermore, you can record your session, pop out the monitors of the remote computer if you have a similar number of screens, and, lastly, their app is very well made. Regarding the app, the UI is both simple and surprisingly functional. This is the only remote connect app that has allowed me to easily perform tasks on a remote computer. As an extra bonus, there is a TeamViewer quick support app which allows you to access your phone from your computer which is sometimes handy.

Cons: The price is high making it an expense that many companies cannot justify. Also, TeamViewer is a bit heavier than other products in terms of the computing resources it requires (i.e. requires more of your computer's processing power than other remote connect options which can slow down your other tasks).

Pros: I usually had all kinds of inconveniences with my computer in the office, problems with billing software, deconfiguration of the administrative system, the internal network of the company, among many others ...

All this caused a real waste of time waiting for the technician to come and see what was wrong with my computer, which affected my performance and productivity.

Fortunately that headache is over when we started using teamviewer. The technicians could immediately see what happened with our devices and solve the problem remotely, with no greater delay than a few simple clicks.

Another great advantage of this software is that you no longer have to explain to the technician what is going wrong, thus avoiding misunderstandings. The other user from your computer can access yours and see exactly what is happening.

Cons: absolutely nothing bad to add, this software has relieved all my problems with my work computer.

Overall: Allows us to receive attention from experts in the area of technology in real time and from a distance.

It also allows me to access the work network and the information of my office at home or anywhere in the world.

Pros: TeamViewer is a great platform for providing remote viewing support or remote collaboration across machines connected by the internet. It's great as a go-to solution in a pinch; such as when providing a client with phone or email instructions on the fly, and a remote support session is needed to get the job done quickly and efficiently. The process is simplified for ease of use, which really helps with this type of thing. Initiating a remote procedure session with various attributes, options, parameters, safety considerations, etc. is obviously desirable, but in many cases, all that's really required is a sure fix for connecting that doesn't fail. The user ID and chosen password context of establishing a client / tech support connection is virtually fool-proof. I've never had a failed TeamViewer session play out when I've needed to rely on it to get my jobs done.

Cons: There was some notion that the client could remotely access my photos as the tech support provider, which made me a bit uncomfortable, but overall, not a big deal. It was a yes or no allowable radio button.

Overall: TeamViewer is the perfect solution for establishing a remote support session between tech support and the client. It features a simple user interface and methods of connecting are vastly simplified from using terminal shell connections and command line contexts of what would be invokved otherwise.

Pros: TeamViewer is a great remote desktop (RDP) tool that works well on Mac and Windows. We have used it for some time now and find it to be a great tool for remote desktop management and web conferencing. - TeamViewer is great to remotely log into a desktop anywhere in the world as long as you have the login credentials - TeamViewer has an easy to set up process and you can be logged into a host pc within minutes once you pass the learning curve. All you have to do is enter the credentials of the host PC and you are in. - TeamViewer's web conferencing feature is also great as you can decide which "side" is in control of the screen, allowing easier access to both parties. - The chat feature also works great when used in conjunction with the remote desktop feature, especially when training someone or providing support for a specific problem. All in all, TeamViewer is a product that is best for IT support staff and those who do a lot of remote desktop management. It works well for occasional use as well.

Cons: While TeamViewer is generally good overall, there are some flaws about it that you should consider: - Host to Client connection can be very slow at times even when both sides have a fast internet connection. - Losing client connectivity can be an issue as the screen just freezes up and you may not see any indication that there is a connection issue. - If you are using the Personal version of the app, there are limitations on what you can do, and the pricing for a Corporate license doesn't justify itself unless you provide IT support on a full time basis.

Pros: One of my most favorite things about Team Viewer is that they allow you to select usage either for personal use or business usage. If you choose the personal usage option, you are able to use all the features of the business account for free.

Team viewer is also very easy to use. It's just a matter of sending your partner the username and password and the connection is automatically created after they input the details in their computer.

Compared to the other remote screen reader options, team viewer offers the most secure and stable connection. Downtime is rarely experienced unless its an issue related to poor internet connection.

Another awesome thing about team viewer is the ability to share files between two connected computers. Team viewer offers a very convenient file sharing option between two computers.

Another cool thing about team viewer is the functionality called 'switch sides with partner' which allows the two connecting partners to switch between who is controlling whose PC.

Cons: The downside I experience with team viewer is the fact that internet is a mandatory requirement between the two connecting computers. Also, if the internet is not stable enough, the whole process can be very frustrating.

Overall: Whenever I need to access my client's PC for remote support, team viewer is my software of choice for the same. I have had a good experience with the software in general and would recommend it for anyone looking for a Remote PC access option.

Comments: There have been general qualms about pricing from our company internally as well as the community at large. But let me tell you: it is worth the money. We purchased TeamViewer licenses which were a one-time fee, but today TeamViewer offers monthly subscription pricing which may be better for small businesses without a lot of cash. I have used LogMeIn, VNC, etc. and TeamViewer is the best!

Pros: - True "console" access to a remote machine with absolute simplicity; no other tool can come close - Feature rich: file transfer, chat, drop-dead simple session recording, easy monitor switching - Multiple users can connect to a remote computer at once - You can customize/brand the installation with your own logo, etc.

Cons: - Upfront pricing is a little steep for commercial use - There is a user session ID which is useless to me, it doesn't work when the remote user logs out, TeamViewer should just provide the console ID by default - Intermittent connectivity errors with little explanation, but these have become less and less common over time

Pros: My boss and I, who both work remotely, use this software to work on issues with clients. We develop school budgeting software that is quite complex, and many times our users need their hand held by one of us. Being able to see their screen and having the capability to point to objects while talking with them is invaluable. As well, my boss and I use it to collaborate while working on projects together. We simply could not be in business without it.

Cons: The biggest complaint I have about this software is that when a new service case comes online (i.e. a client of ours needs our help) there is no audio notification. The only hint you get when a new case comes in is a 5 second popup in the bottom right of only 1 of your monitores. Many times, I miss that small notificaiton and my clients are sitting there waiting for me to help them. I mean, how hard can it be to add an audio cue!

Overall: A fantastic product that just needs a few tweaks to make it perfect.

Pros: I used to work as an IT Technical Support Specialist for a university with a 500-hectare campus. It was so difficult to go from office to office just to troubleshoot or install some patches/applications on multiple office desktops. Then came TeamViewer! Now, our team just does a remote connection via TeamViewer and most (if not all) our troubleshooting job is done without having to leave our desk.

I also love the fact that TeamViewer values security. There is a way to limit the access of people by having to provide/input passwords. We use this with our external clients who connect to our system via TeamViewer. They have to call us up first and ask for the key before they get access.

Cons: So far, for my use case scenario, I'm pretty much covered. And I have nothing much to complain about Teamviewer.

Overall: Save yourself from moving places to access remote computers... TeamViewer simplifies IT Technical Support and Remote Access work for you.

Pros: Easy to connect with other users with just a username and password

Unattended Access

Can start a meeting, share videos, presentations, phone and also can schedule a meeting

Can be used for file transfer from 1 device to another

Supports in Android, IOS, Linux, windows

Has User management options

Can have Connection Logs

Cons: File transfer speed is a bit low even if the user have high internet speed.

Sometimes the voice chatting feature wont work while having remote connection with other user.

Pricing is high

Unable to connect with a low version to new version device

At some point the connection too gets laggy

The connection has a low resolution video

Overall: I have been using this for my work with other co workers, I usually connect with other users and help them in setting up profiles and managing projects which are assigned. I have found it difficult to get connected with other people who have a lower version than mine, so that they have to upgrade their software. Never faced any issues such as crashes.

Pros: - Very fast performance

- Easy to install

- Multiple Platforms; Desktop, mobile, and server

- Ability to brand your installation

- Integrates with other modules suck as asset tracking, monitoring, backup, and antivirus (ITBrain)

- Ability to enable Two Step Authentication for added security

Cons: - Major versions you need to re-license (although they have just come out with a new subscription service to ease this)

-

Overall: Teamviewer has been such a pivotal tool for our company and we've been using it for several years. It has been great to see how much development has gone into it; stay in touch with today's trends and offering new features that are both valuable to an individual or an enterprise. It's seamless integration with it's other tools (ITBrain) has made Teamviewer less of just a remote control tool, and closer to becoming an MDM (Mobile Device Management) tool. I highly recommend looking into Teamviewer as a choice software. You have the opportunity to use it in a personal capacity for free to witness how smooth and fast the software runs.

Pros: I have used Team Viewer for a about 3 years now and I have enjoyed every bit of it. Firstly, it helps me manage my team activities around the globe, I don't miss out from anything simply because team viewer keeps my communication with my team alive, not to mention the task of sharing large files which I find most advantageous due to my field of work.

The screen sharing task is one of the most amazing features that keeps me in awe, this allows me to correct and easily navigate individual team member's work. My gratitude to the Team Viewer programmers would not be complete without the mention of how fascinating I find the ease of installing and using this software in my WINDOW OS. A big thumps up for Team Viewer

Cons: I really don't have any CON that I would want to state here, however, there use to be a time I had problem with the security but this have been corrected by the use of authentication and security tokens. Another problem I could also notice then was the task of setting up my account, but I am really use to it now.

Overall: Generally, I think team viewer is an exceptional and great software that anyone can use with ease, it is most efficient when it has to do with team management, because it allows you keep track of task assigned to team and allow you follow up with such a task.

Pros: This product simply works great! The tools built-in to help work on the remote computer are great. We also love the built-in chat feature. It really helps when I need the client to enter a password or perform a task. On the rare occasion that we are unable to connect to due to an internet issue, we're forced to walk our client step-by-step through the troubleshooting process, which reminds us how crucial this program is to our department and company as a whole.

Cons: From time to time the connection can lag, freeze, or drop. It rarely happens and isn't much of a lag but there's not a whole lot of things I can say are a "con" so I figured I'd mention it.

Overall: Trying to remotely troubleshoot our clients PC and/or network issues can be a challenge but this product makes it 100 times easier. We work with many different operating systems so us being able to remote in to find the solution ourselves versus having to try and walk them though it, makes all the difference in the world.

Pros: allows communication between one and more users in different cities or even countries, it facilitates access to both personal and work information, in my work experience I can explain to my colleagues different presentations of information in the same way access files on their computers and make any type of modification.

Cons: in fact it does not have anything negative the only thing is that if you have internet access unstable while more users you will suddenly drop the connection.

Overall: It is excellent, easy and very necessary for any sub area of a company, in my case I work in human resources and it allows me to induce new income as well as to explain to the staff how to fill files that belong to the area.

Similarly for the support area is very fast and efficient for an immediate solution, I remember once my computer failed in an update and our support colleague was not in the building and remotely I solved the inconvenience in my computer giving access and remote control to the other user.

Pros: The software itself works well and is a good option for businesses looking for a way to remote support or manage computers

Cons: software has issues with validating licenses at times, but over all not many issues that are negative.

Overall: Team viewer is making a strong push away from their customers who purchased perpetual licenses previously to force them into their subscription model. In the case of my company, I had brought over $2,500 worth of licenses just a few years ago, and found out this week those license had been disabled and I received an invoice for the new subscription service had been issued to me. Calls to the billing team to find out what happened, went without a resolution and they are now sending our account to collections for a service I didn't sign up for on top of disabling account I had already paid for. It seems unreal but that is the reality with this company.

Quite honestly, it's the worst customer service experience I've every had with any software company in 25+ years in the industry. Would never deal with this company again for any reason.

Pros: We use Teamviewer to log onto servers maintained by us, and to provide remote support for customers. The simplicity of connecting, and the power of the remote viewer once you are connected are a huge advantage.

Using a customised support client, which the user can download from our website, we can be on the customer's device and helping them in seconds. Once on, the ability to see all of their screens, upload and download software and maintain full control allows us to support them effectively.

For server connections, the ability to have a library of server details saved, so we can connect easily is a huge boon.

Cons: The price per connection is fairly high, but you get a good service for that. It can sometimes be a pain to get a connection from a customer PC behind a firewall, however you can usually talk the person at the other end through setting it up easily.
