Generally a good experience. Everything is very accessible. Some things are harder to locate, however, their customer service is great at resolving and answering any questions or concerns you may have.

Pros

Easy interface to navigate very user friendly , wonderful for organizing and documenting different aspects of a patient's overall health and records , pertaining to.

Cons

At times it does seem to lag.And there are other times where it does not update automatically and sync with the office itself.

My overall experience with Epic is Amazing! I love how detailed it is and how secure it is for us in the medical field

Pros

I like most about epic that you can customize your DAR report and your screen for the log-in, and background!

Cons

My least favorite thing about Epic is the fact that when you scan something into media you can't just delete it immediately, you have to "mark it for chart correction"

I use Epic for medical chart documenting, medication and lab ordering, and communicating with patients. I have used Epic for the last 8 years.

Pros

Epic is easy to use; the patient messaging is similar to email; clearly laid out interface.

Cons

Too many clicks! Information is not as streamlined as it could be. Have to enter the same information multiple times.

Overall, EPIC is my favorite EMR. I have used AllScripts, WellSky, etc., in both my clinical and healthcare quality roles and found that EPIC was the best.

Pros

EPIC is probably the best EMR that I have used. I find the interfaces are intuitive. I do quality audits and I find that data I need to review is easy to locate in the EMR, it's location "makes sense." EPIC is probably the closest to a physical chart logistically for those of us who spent most of our career using paper charts.

Cons

The reporting side of EPIC is not as intuitive as the clincal/charting side. I'm a really good computer geek and I found that I had to reach out to support often when trying to build a report in EPIC.

Unlike other similar systems, Epic is super easy to set up and maintain. Patients can access their information easily from the clean interface, which saves a lot of time for the nurses and doctors.

Pros

The user-friendly design makes it easy to access medical records, upcoming appointments, prescription information, and ways to contact your doctor or nurse.

Cons

I have no complaints! Overall, I dislike the idea of having my information stored by 3rd parties, but so far I haven't had any issues.

Overall my experience with EPIC is fantastic. The way the patient's chart is organized is extremely efficient.

Pros

Epic is extremely efficient and easy to use. I am able to navigate it easily when searching for things that I need as far as patient charting goes.

Cons

I do not like how difficult it is to get to patient's information, I understand it is for security reasons, but I wish there was a quicker way to search for a patient and pull up the patient in a faster manner.

I can always find exactly what im looking for when i need it and everything is easily accessible. The filters allow me to keep anything I do and don't want and i've just been able to make it my own!

Pros

I love the yearly upgrades that make it super easy to navigate patients' chart and information as needed.

Cons

I have not had any issues with Epic so far and have been using it for the last 9 years with every upgrade learning new options and shortcuts.

I used Epic in my past employment with Yale and Hartford Healthcare. Their versions were pretty good in my opinion.

Pros

The integration of multiple practices made it easy to gather information about patients.

Cons

The annoying part of Epic to me is that if certain practices don't have certain parts in their version of Epic, you cannot share information.

My overall experience with Epic has been a positive one. I personally enjoy Epic system more than the old system.

Pros

Epic is a very comprehensive electronic medical record system and seamlessly integrates all outpatient and inpatient records for patients.

Cons

One thing I like least about Epic is the process with making changes and technical builds in Epic. The clinical and technical process can be quite time consuming.

Overall: good! Once patients are logged in, navigating the system is easy: adding data, contacting doctors.

Pros

Adding patient’s family medical history is the simplest I’ve ever seen in an online platform, which means patients are more likely to fully fill out the data.

Cons

It’s not always easy for patients to find the sign in portal. It doesn’t pop up via search engines, so clients need to save it.

epic is a decent system when it comes to taking notes, billing and also scheduling, epic is the way to go.

Cons

I do not like the system when it comes down to patient forms, and form customization. It can definitely improve in a few areas.

Wonderful experience for me, no steep learning curve. The first time i was using this was at a hospital in 2021, and it depends really on how tech savvy one is, joined by proper training.

Pros

Support across all platforms/departments & B2B is seamless. There is a ease of access for providers, making it easier to access patient records. Also within itself is a broad communication platform, which helps minimize overusing hospital resources such as a doubled order testing procedure for a patient.

Cons

Without proper training, Epic systems provide a steep learning curve not familiar with the technology. This includes features such as customizations, training modules, security features (often locked down by your supervisor) & other simple tasks.

My overal experience with Epic has been great. Just the system itself helps navigate through each department and all departments have different parts but is an all in one system.

Pros

What I like most about Epic is that it has so many integrations. I can share data between departments.

Cons

I have experienced any dislikes with Epic besides system updates, which can delay patient care when in critical moments, but they do have a solution to help with that, so none really.

I use EPIC in my job as a trauma data abstractor, so daily I am using this software. It holds all of the medical data I need and I can easily search for patients and the data I need.

Pros

Very easy to search and find medical info I need for my job. There is precise diagnosis and notes from providers which helps me clarify and misunderstanding I may have.

Cons

It does crash and freeze a lot. When I pull up documents it does time out pretty quick which can be a pain for me.

Easy to handle patients information, appointments, medications and more! Suggestesd for large team or big hospitals

Cons

It will create duplicated charts and it will not give you an alert sometimes, then you need to manually merge the charts

For serving a hospital of over 1,000 employees, it worked well. I had no issues with it but did come with a large learning curve.

Pros

This was for a large hospital practice and it absolutely served large massive customer bases. We were able to do cloud hosting, it was used with Epic Practice Management super easy, and had no issues with EMR charts.

Cons

Very expensive because it is used in such a large capacity.

I had to use it while in medical school. Although I have used worse (Cerbo), I have used better (Elation). I wouldn't choose it if given the choice.

Pros

Neutral colors. Smart phrases that the user creates make for great shortcuts.

Cons

Multiple screens making it difficult to find things. It's like playing hide and seek, and not often successfully.
