Pros: It's the only computer software I have never needed help with. It keeps it simple.

Cons: That I have to fill out my timesheet on a computer -- period. I'm just pure old-school. I have no complaints, and want no gift or future surveys.

Overall: Paid.

The bare minimum in time tracking. Irritating UX, dated pile of Windows 98, not beyond saving.

Pros: It does what my management team needs it to do. I suppose the integration between their billing set up is satisfactory. They probably feel like changing this system would be such an overhaul that they're willing to stick with this system. That said I guess eBillity accomplishes what the business owner wants.

Cons: This tool does not have enough demonstrated empathy for the actual end user. It certainly accomplishes enough for the controller / billing / CEO. However this tool actually makes it harder to communicate my value to the boss, and I'm not complaining about having to use timers. I've worked in a freelance/client service environment long enough to know that every minute of efficiency matters. What I'm talking about is eBillity's specific UI and interaction design. Furthermore, for mid-tier managers, I've heard that they're also irritated by the system's lack of accommodation. I've heard my managers say that it's very difficult to scale in an org with many clients and even more service offerings. They've said that being able to even parse logs out (who worked on what, for how long, and how) is a headache. Managers would like to manage how employees log their time and this tool does not help them do that. It's an input output box. There are few controls or features that make the life of a manager any easier. Thankfully we deliver enough value to our clients that they don't make us jump through hoops to demonstrate a granular level of time reporting. I would suggest eBillity take a serious look at competitors from a UX and design standpoint. This vertical, as you may now, is maturing and design is ever more important to a successful product.

Overall: I was able to track my time and tell my boss what I did. (That's about it, it made little to no difference in my ability to communicate value in my organization).

Pros: Organization of jobs and reporting time on each. It is nice to be able to see where my time is being divided and how long it takes to do different tasks

Cons: There are almost too many categories to submit time. I would like to see the program divided into the same brackets as the architecture ARE. that would make it so easy for interning architecture students to log their internship hours according to the bracket they need.

Pros: This software, while not as fast as working in QB, we have a lot of information at our disposal when not working from the office (where we use QB desktop). This has really been key in being able to have one person enter time, run reports, etc. when someone else is using the company file or if we are working remotely. The customer support team is FANTASTIC. We have an issue when we first set up our account and they were amazingly helpful. Informative, but not requiring us to do all the work to fix the problem. It took probably a couple of days, but really was a smooth experience. They are also responsive when we have quick, short questions. They make the overall experience nearly painless when dealing with technical issues.

Cons: The software is slightly slower than QB, which makes sense. One of the bigger frustrations is the inability to change items after they have been approved. We can change them in QB, but they'll never update in ebility. We have to do this a fair amount due to how we handle some of our prospective clients before they become a job. It makes the reporting feature less accurate. Other than that, there are a few features in QB that are not offered here, but that is not a major deal. Showing what items have been billed vs. not billed. The report window/feature could also be streamlined a bit more. It's a little clunky, but overall not bad. This is all of course based on our use.

Pros: It's easy to use; I just start the timer when I arrive at work, figure out what I'm working on, and go to work. When I switch tasks, I either start a new timer or make a note at where the timer is at. Then at the end of the day, I take a moment to review what I worked on and how much time was spent on each job. And at the end of each week or pay period, it's super easy to just submit the time to our controller and she pulls it into her payroll interface. Also, I really like the feature of copying tasks and times from the previous week into the current week. It saves some time in listing the multiple jobs that I work on from week to week.

Cons: Occasionally, the software will "time-out" and I'll lose what tasks/time I had entered for the day up to that point in time. It's not a big deal to re-enter my time if I've only been working on 1 or 2 jobs. If I've been jumping around to multiple jobs, I just have to guestimate how much time I spent on each job and fill it in. This isn't the most accurate way to do it, but it only happens occasionally.

Also, I wonder if there's a phone app that could be used in conjunction with the computer desktop application. If I'm on a site visit or traveling for business and not at my desk in the office, it'd be nice to be able to track my time on my phone app.

Simple, easy to use.

Pros: It links very easily to Quick Books. Their customer support has improved over the last year. They provide mobile access and links to Outlook.

Cons: Initially their customer support was terrible, but they have improved over the last several months.

You can't set the order in which the service items appear. The largest issue, and reason we are seeking other time sheet services: employees enter their time on the honor system and in a lump sum. Ebillity provides the option of the employee 'clocking in and out' but it's cumbersome: you can't switch service items or projects easily - you have to log out of the current one and then log back in. Ebillity doesn't allow for a time sheet approval process. And you can't specify limits of access to certain employee time sheets, (that would provide a supervisor access to the time sheets of their subordinates). Trying to print a particular time sheet is difficult and the layout is undesirable: large font that turns a single time sheet into several pages.

Overall: A remote entry time sheet from each employee that syncs easily with Quick Books. It's simple and easy to use.

Pros: We use Timetracker in our business to record employee work time. I like that we can create different jobs and allocations within the software to specify where employees record time and to what project or job. I also like the rich reporting features and the ability to access employee "time cards" from anywhere that has an internet connection.

Cons: The one thing I like the LEAST about this software is the web interface's tendency to become mixed up and VERY difficult to use after resizing on the screen. There are sizing "handles" top bottom and left right of the actual time entry form. This form can be dynamically stretched and adjusted to fit the screen of the monitor an end user is using. Unfortunately, on smaller monitors, the form itself gets mixed up and entry blanks shift all over the screen when adjusting form size. Fortunately, this issue can be fixed by a simple "reset" of the form back to standard. It's more of an inconvenience than issue.

Overall: Overall, we have been very happy with TimeTracker in our business, and would recommend to other companies seeking a time tracking solution.

We have been with Ebillity since 2011 when Quick Books stop having Time Tracker. Many changes.

Pros: Now, in 2018 from 2011 when we started using Ebillity there have been many changes for the good. It is much easier to use and faster. You are able to approve 1 day or 1 week at a time for your employees. Able to check off if the time is billable or non-billable. You have the choice of auto-save or not. Time is color coordinated Pending-Submitted-Approved, so you know the status at any given time. You can print out the time sheets by the week at any time. Print out reports by job or employee. Support team in the states have been very helpful, the outsourcing to another country was horrible----but have not had to use either for years now.

Cons: The printed out time sheet needs to be easier to read. There needs to be a space between each job so that it is not all run together.

Overall: When we had no where to turn when Quick Books left us high and dry with no place to put our time and coordinate with billing Ebillity was there to help us.

Ebillity worked with us to get its software to what we needed for our employees. They have come a long way in 7 years that we have been with them.

Pros: The application works through a web browser or my iPhone making it easy to track my hours as I go along. The report engine is simple but does what I need including making reports I can easily send to my clients in a professional looking format.

It is simple to set up new customers and new items so that I can track as much or as little detail as needed.

Cons: Going back to change approved entries can't be done from the main week view session where the hours were first entered. Edits mean going to a separate view of a single line. I can see the rationale for this - the line was approved and therefore the status has to be pushed backwards, but an easier way would be nicer.

A few user defined fields on some of the sessions would be helpful, especially if there became report criteria. I don't use QuickBooks for my invoicing, so having a manual check box marked INVOICED would be helpful (as an example).

Overall: Fast and easy to setup and be productive. Simpler than using some of the other products on the market. Reasonable value for the money.

Simple and intuitive interface; easily track time on computer or phone.

Pros: Its simple and intuitive interface are my favorite aspect. I find that the actual actions of setting a running timer or filling in the times after the fact are both easy to do because the interface is designed in a way that one would predict it should be. The ability to carry over hours on the same task into the next day is very helpful as well due to the fact that as an attorney, often my tasks go way past midnight. This leads to greater clarity for the customer as to what she is being charged for which task that was done when.

Cons: What I like least about Ebillity is the fact that it is very difficult to reconfigure the size of the columns in the Timesheets view. there is often not enough room for me to see the entire task description at one glance. Further, there is no way to set up standard task descriptions that could be more speedily added from a dropdown menue. Furthermore, if non-administrators could have access to viewing current billing and invoices without actually being able to change any data that would be a tremendous plus. In small firms, the billing administrator is not always around when clients have questions regarding their bills.

Pros: Using the app on my phone, able to access business functions when I'm on the go, that it has a pause and a stop feature on the tracking abilities-which I use quite a bit and feel that I can accurately and fairly charge my customers the exact time I do work for them. I like being able to sync it with Quickbooks and complete my invoicing in a time efficient manner.

Cons: We are a small company and regularly use 2 employees. On the very infrequent instance when we need to employ an outside consultant and create a user account for him too, we have to bump up our subscription to the next price level and cannot take ourselves down again when that job is over.

Overall: Being able to accurately track time for all customers, either while doing computer based work or on the go (by using the app on my phone). Peace of mind knowing that all employees are able to use the application and accurately track their time. This leads to happy and repeat customers

Pros: It's easy for my agents to log their time for our clients and add notes.

Adding new projects is also really easy.

Cons: The downtime, although not frequent, is frustrating for our team. We operate 24/7, so we always have someone logged in. I know that downtime is inevitable, but it's still frustrating.

Running reports seems really slow over the past month or two. The data does finally come up, but it seems to take a long time and I usually don't get any indication that it's retrieving the data. I've seen that trend in other software also and I don't like it there either.

I also really dislike the new log-in to use my Intuit log-in (which I don't have) screen if I don't log-in quickly enough on the regular one. Why can't these both be on the same page? Why the redirect?

Overall: It allows my agents to log their time on each client accurately and in real-time.

Pros: For all of its bugs, it is very simple to use start a timer, select the client, enter the description, and there you go! It's pretty intuitive to learn and use for first time users/those who have never worked with this software before.

One of the most helpful features is the ability to add time within the weekly view very simple and straightforward

Cons: Often difficulties with starting a second timer while a first is running

A very buggy software, relatively speaking there have been many instances over the almost 3 years that I have used Time Tracker where some small bug or glitch has left me totally unable to enter and submit time

I don't like that on the Weekly view you have to double click in to see further details, it'd be nice to be able to see some of those on hover or have them included in that weekly view

Pros: It's easy and straightforward to use. It does what it is supposed to do. You are able to create billable service items and see all of your time spend on each item.

Cons: There is a column in the "weekly" report that allows you to create classes for service items. I went through and made a bunch of classes because I track my time for licensing purposes that have different categories than our billable services. I thought I would be able to create a report that showed my time in each class. Alas, this column is completely useless. It doesn't show up on any report, and it is impossible see how much time was spent in each class. Tech Support was unable to help and wasn't able to describe the purpose of class column. I was disappointed to see that I could not further customize my time tracking.

Good software but there are a few issues.

Pros: I like that it is easily accessible and you can keep track of your time on a daily basis. I also, like the fact that you have the ability to see your hours from month to month. It helps the employees know their hours in real time to avoid confusion of time tracking.

Cons: What I like the least about the software is the data management. We have employees who time doesn't port over to QuickBooks. We also have many instances of duplicate hours when adjusting the time in QuickBooks back to eBillity. This causes great confusion for the user and management. We have new people enter their hour but the hours don't transfer back to QuickBooks and we have to manually enter their timesheets, this defeats the purpose of the program if we have th enter the time into QuickBooks.

Pros: It has fairly simple commands for time entry. The pick lists make it easy to enter data without needing a lot of reference material handy. I especially like the character sequence recognition in the cells with pick lists. I can figure out a sequence of characters that is unique (or nearly so) to the selection I want so that I don't have to run down the whole list looking for it.

Cons: It may just be a poor implementation by my organisation, but it is frustrating that error checking interferes with copying values from one row to several rows beneath. Further, the selection of my name should eliminate most of the other options about projects, billing rates, etc; or at least sort the more applicable ones to the top. Maybe our office needs more support to get that optimised.

Overall: I prefer my spreadsheet. With it I can clock in and out, see what hours have been assigned to jobs and what hours were wasted or forgotten. Duplication of lines is easy, and I can keep running sums of hours on any project number. It is totally versatile, yet easily operated. I keep track of my billable/logged-in hour ratio every day. I then have to transfer my data to a system that gives me no personal advantages.

The web based portion is great! The app is hard to work with and does not purge prior pay periods.

Pros: The "time sheet" is easy to use. Seems to have plenty of lines for entering different task descriptions throughout the week. If the user has "approved" his/her time, the Entries at the Dashboard make final approval easy.

Cons: The app seems crowded after a few weeks of use with all entries still in the screen. It is difficult to be sure you have completely entered hours and to be sure they are in the correct days if you are entering them a day or two later.

As an administrator I must look through all of the possible entry names to make sure all hours for the time period are "approved" - I do not think the users realize they need to approve them for the entries page to populate so that I can bring the hours into QuickBooks to do payroll with all of the hours that need to be there.

There does not appear to be a way for the user to indicate that the hours are overtime or sick time other than making a note -- which if the note is at the end of the description can easily be missed.

Overall: More consistency with time entries which makes for easier client billing.

Pros: Easy to use, inexpensive, and syncs to QB.

Cons: - Should have the option for employees to only see one charge code (they don't need to see customer, service item, payroll, and billable)...causes lots of monthly errors.

- Need to do a better job of testing when you roll out changes...we shouldn't be your Beta testers

- Needs ability to disallow employees to change their timecards in previous months after they have submitted.

Needs ability to choose whether to backward sync with QBs. Gov't accounting forces us to use hand-signed changes to previous months timecards...bugs with QB backward syncing these hours

Pros: We chose to use eBillity because Intuit quit supporting the QuickBooks Timer, which we had used for years. We wanted something that would sync seamlessly with QuickBooks desktop for billing purposes, and support multiple congruent users. Once we got everything setup, everything is very easy to use, with multiple ways of recording time depending on your preference. When we have had to contact support, they promptly respond and are great to work with.

Cons: It's not easy to setup correctly, and easy to mess up the setup once complete. We've had to contact support multiple times due to sync issues. The software does not support separate areas for billable time tracking and employee time clock tracking, which would be handy.

Overall: It's great to have an online solution because it enables us to track and manage billable time, in real-time. The mobile app is nice too.

Pros: Ease of entry in all platforms: PC/iPad/Android Phone.

Integration with QuickBooks is very good, and now allows the creation of clients and service items within TimeTracker.

Cons: As a lawyer who provides services to clients on various matters based on time, the use of "Customers" and "Service Items" is not intuitive. Issue is more related to QuickBooks than TimeTracker, as TimeTracker needs to conform to the accounting program that has online limitations for service providers. So long as I use QuickBooks, this will likely remain an issue, but TimeTracker still integrates very well and I am unaware of anything better for me with this value.

Overall: Efficient and convenient entry of time for services rendered.

Overall, timesheet is easy to use and efficient.

Pros: The auto-save functionality is great; this feature is surprisingly missing on many timesheet systems. Copy last timesheet is also very helpful and time saving.

Cons: The timesheet system is unable to offer a semi-monthly timesheet. Other systems I've used have offered this functionality. For employees who have to balance their hours out over a pay period (not week to week), it is far easier for them, and their approving supervisor, to validate that their pay period hours are on target/not over when the full pay period (semi-monthly for example) is displayed. the customer representative has offered this for over a decade and a half at least; there's really no excuse that this function is not available.

I use Time Tracker because my office selected it for me. I have no problems with it.

Pros: I can enter my time anywhere, even though I rarely do it from anywhere but work, but sometimes I do use it at home, so that's convenient when I need it.

Cons: It's a little quirky in a way that I don't have time to evaluate at this time. I know that's not really helpful for you, but sorry. For example, if you're entering time in the far left column and you use your mouse to select the time to re-type it and you click and drag farther to the left than the box is and start typing, you'll wipe out the "service item" column and start typing something else. It doesn't happen often, but it's a pain when it does.

Overall: i can enter my time and our payroll person can collect the information and pay me.

I use to keep track on my employees and pay them and invoice customers

Pros: Keep track of billable time and invoice customers either through the software or export timesheets to QBO and invoice with Quickbooks online.

Cons: I can see time for a whole month. Only Weeks. I would like to be able to see a report for the whole month as that's how I pay my employees and I have to add every week to figure their time.

Overall: Being able to keep time for what my employees work so I can pay them, and also easily invoice my clients for the billable time.

Pros: I like that all of my employees can use it without difficulty, I like that I am the only one that can go in and make changes that will affect my quickbooks, I like that it is accessible remotely as I have employees all over the country. The main reason for using this in the first place was that is synced with Quickbooks. It makes invoicing fast and effective.

Cons: My biggest complaint is the fee schedule. I fit in the middle. I am a small business...I would like to be able to add an employee at a time; or have the option to jump to the next fee schedule. Instead, I just have a couple employee NOT using the software for cost effectiveness.

Pros: Captures all the right information and places it directly into Quickbooks for a quickest path to invoicing. I really like the tight integration, as a conduit, between Outlook and Quickbooks. It is essential that I be able to convert appointment information in Outlook to Quickbooks invoicing.

Cons: The Outlook add-in needs work (does not always allow for capturing appointment notes and often captures the incorrect Outlook information) and their is a character limit for appointment notes. No way to turn off Time Tracker Sync Manager notifications. Lastly, tech support/customer support is not too interested in fixing these things.

Overall: Timely invoicing

Pros: I like most the eBillity syncs with Quickbooks. eBillity allows our team to enter time as they are working. It also stores the entries and allows users or the admins to go back and adjust them if necessary. Pricing is a huge plus, too.

Cons: It's not very pretty and the setup process can be confusing if you're connecting it to QB.

Overall: We have used eBillity for over six years and it has helped us bill our time every month. We enter thousands of hours each month. We have looked for alternatives in the past, but we always come back because it works so well. Whether you connect with QB or another accounting software, or just use it to track time and generate invoices, eBillity is a great choice for any company of any size.

Pros: I like the way it works with Outlook. I can add billable time to my Calendar and sync this with Ebillity. It's easy for my staff to log in their time directly into Ebillity and finally it's easy to sync all hours with QuickBooks

Cons: There are times when hours logged into Ebillity during a day, vanish from the system and we have to go in and recreate our time from the day before. There are also times when we enter time in during the day that don't seem to save.

Overall: We are a small office of 3 and by using Ebillity, we save time both in keeping track of our hours for each client, are able to include what work we've done for the client and then by automating the billing each month.

I use ebillity every week to track all of my time. It's not bad, but could be better.

Pros: I like that this program is cloud based, and the reports are pretty easy to run. I like the ability to copy previous week as a template.

Cons: (1) I want to be able to copy previous weeks further back than 1 week. I have lots of bi-weekly and semi-monthly meeting 'weeks' that I'd like to copy forward to the current week. (2) I want to be able to turn off the pop-up that happens when I double-click a cell. I expect double-click to highlight the number in the cell so I can re-type it. (3) I'd like to turn off the tool-tip that appears when I mouse over a cell. It constantly flashes and covers up hours later in the week. Super annoying. (4) I'd like the "customer" and "service item" fields to remember the most frequent items I select, and present those in the drop-downs first, so I don't have to type ahead search for everything. (5) I'd like to be able to copy and paste a row in my entry list. (6) Any improvements to reduce the amount of time I spend tracking time would be welcomed.

Pros: my staff often works on the same projects over the span of several weeks. the ability to copy their previous time sheet and then make amendments as needed is a real time saver for them and makes them more likely to get their time in by deadline with very little follow-up (prodding) from me.

Cons: Any changes that I make to the timesheets do not sync back to the cloud; client jobs that are closed still show up on the app that my employees see and that confuses them

Overall: I have less data entry work to do because my employees are responsible to enter their time sheets. We used to have hand-written time reports that I had to enter into Quickbooks daily. No more!

Pros: The ability to review others time sheets. I used to have to manually input all employees time sheets and with this program they are able to submit on their own and I then simply download and review.

Cons: There is one glitch that happens periodically, I'm not certain why there seems to be no correlation to the occurrences. But every so often time sheets don't show up as submitted to download them. However, I found that when logged in as the administrator I can view each individual and manually submit.

Overall: This software is a huge time savings and allows me to spend more time doing my job and less time spent on internal inputting of time sheets.

A great tool to keep track of billable hours that can be accessed from anywhere.

Pros: Since it is cloud-based, it can be accessed from anywhere at any time. The interface is simple and intuitive with options for managing time entires in one long list or in a week-to-week format. It is also very simple to create a report that shows all entries for a given employee and/or entries for specific clients.

Cons: I don't really have any complaints about the software. I am a user and not an administrator so I do not use any of the QuickBooks integration features so I cannot speak to any of those. But for how I use the software on a daily basis, it does exactly what I need it to do.

Pros: With the initial setup completed, the program is extremely intuitive and easy to use. I can search my jobs by beginning to type, and this enables to me to quickly find each task. The ability to copy previous timesheets without time input is EXTREMELY helpful. Previous weeks can also be copied with the time, if one is doing tasks that never change.

Cons: While the customer list is easy to navigate, it has a set maximum width, and clicking within the dropdown area clears any selection previously added. Instead of being able to see which item I picked initially (which is possible via the drop-arrow option), I have to start over. This is frustrating, but it's not so much as to counter all the pros, and is typically user error.

eBility has allowed our office to easily expand our time keeping to multiple office locations.

Pros: It's connectivity with QuickBooks is quite seamless. We rarely have an issue with grabbing the job we need for the particular project. When we add a new project into QuickBooks, it is available for the employees to post time almost immediately.

Cons: From our Company perspective, it would be nicer if the categories of workers and billing rates could be memorized by employee. We rarely have a person who works at different billing rates or positions that would relate to a contract or proposal. Very minor issue that we don't even notice now after years of using the product.

Pros: Very customizable notes section that allows us to track what work was done by billing category. Also, love the ability to customize by the employee the billing codes.

Cons: The system glitches at times and the platform are not as user-friendly as it could be. Specifically, the approval system is difficult and doesn't perform as it should frequently.

Overall: It was easy and cost-effective to implement. This works well for us as a nonprofit who bills multiple funding sources. This is great for smaller business and nonprofits to get started because it is so cost-effective. Easy to pull data for payroll and approvals of the staff is easy too.

Pros: I like the most, the easy way to enter worked hours and print the report. Every week I have to enter my worked hours. With this software, I can get access to it from every place that I'm located and with a personal computer or the phone, I can enter my timesheet. Also if I need to print a report, the software is able to generate a special report with a header of my company and the spcified hours worked during the week.

Cons: Sometimes is a little challenge using it in the phone. As the phone is touchscreen, I have to be very careful when pressing a command or key. It is not really a con, it's just that working with a phone is different than a PC. Honestly, I don't find another con that doesn't make this software an easy one to use.

Overall: I get the benefit that I can have a professional report developed to be pressented to a sponsor. Also a high quality of a very fashion software to enter my worked hours and get access to the system wherever I'm.

We are using this for our everyday time tracking and using the data to determine efficiencies.

Pros: It provided great detailed reports. We are printing reports per employee and also as a group to help us understand our overall efficiencies. We also use it to track individual efficiency on new trainees to track their progress and reward them accordingly. We cross reference the times with our payroll times to see how much time is billable labor.

Cons: it doesn't have the ability to sync with our current CRM. We use Pipefy and we have not figured out how to merge them and this would be a feature that would help us in the future.

Overall: Great reporting

Pros: I like that it integrates with Quickbooks, and will sync not only the time entered into our billing system, but that the time tracker sees our customers and service types as we add or edit them.

Cons: I wish that we could use this product for entering reimbursable expenses with markup. We have looked into many options for this and they just don't work quite right with markup.

Overall: This has saved our office tons of time with entering billable hours! It also helps reduce errors and makes employee tracking a simple weekly function for us! We have been able to bill more frequently, thus improving our cash flow.

Pros: Our team uses Time Tracker on a daily basis and its been great so far, no major complaints. Expenses requests can be submitted for approval of higher-ups while on the road, which makes tracking so much easier and less time consuming. The layout and user interface are very basic, in a good way. All features are within reach and there is no significant learning curve as I am not the most technical person, and it did not take me long to learn the ins and outs of this tool.

Cons: No major complaints really. Perhaps more feature tutorials?

I've been using Ebility every week for 7 years and have always been pleased.

Pros: The software is very intuitive and easy to use. It serves our business well for handling hundreds of small projects/charge lines at one time. It makes time tracking easy.

Cons: When running reports I wish you could see data from time charges that have been removed from the "Customer(s)" que. When we finish and invoice a job, we like to remove a time charge from the que, however we aren't able to see the data when the charge line is removed. Perhaps there could be a feature added where some charge lines are "active" and some are "passive" or "closed".

Pros: Love how well it works with QuickBooks! Easy to add new employees, new customers, sync whenever and keep on keeping on without having to have all users close program while we do so.

Cons: Cannot save regularly used timers. I use the same 5-10 timers every day, and it would be fantastic to be able to set them up as quick links. Even being able to preset something like the service item across the board would help, because the majority of our time is under one service item.

Overall: Billing flows so much smoother now, and is fully integrated with QuickBooks, so no guessing involved.

Pros: It is user-friendly and real-time updates result in fewer errors on our invoicing and payroll. It is easy to sync with QuickBooks. As the administrator, I often use the reports feature, which makes it really easy for me to keep up with productivity, billing, and payroll.

Cons: While the QuickBooks sync is not difficult, it is a bit slow and requires opening QuickBooks. I wish Time Tracker could sync to QuickBooks a little bit faster or from the eBillity site rather than through the QuickBooks web services feature (we are on QB desktop).

Pros: It does allow for ease in tracking time and multiple "customers" for a company like ours. It helps reduce the paperwork burden on the employee as well with the PC / MAC / Smartphone versions

Cons: There have been several sync and technical issues that have been quite frustrating in the use of the software over the past 6 -8 months. They have generally been resolved relatively quickly by technical support - it's just the need to contact tech support so often for issues.

Overall: Tracking time for multiple employees, especially those that may not be in the office regularly.

eBillity has made timecard management simple, easily reproducible and syncs great with QuickBooks

Pros: I use the auto text feature a lot, as our process requires specific consistent descriptions. When our administrator syncs with QuickBooks our projects and features are instantly transferred and ready for use. It is quick and easy to generate a variety of custom reports.

Cons: I have dealt with significant browser compatibility issues, especially with Google Chrome, and have had to dance around to different browsers over the use period.

Overall: Eliminates manual entry and the extra step of converting paper files to digital. It also makes it easy to enter time from anywhere.

Pros: Our enployees work from multiple locations and travel frequently. The program allows employees to enter billable time remotely for timely invoicing.

Cons: If employee makes an error in entering time; administrator is only one that can change the entries. IE: If an employee waits until the following week to enter their time and inadvertently enters on a current week, administrator has to change each entry's date individually. No ability to change a timesheet's date as a whole. Would be simpler to have to enter a date than choose a date possibly.

eBillity works great with syncing time entries with our Quickbooks online.

Pros: Time entries are auto-saved as they are entered in on the website. This prevents the issue of entering several descriptions only to have the website fail to save and lose everything! The format the site gives for entering time in a week view format is helpful to tab across the page from box to box filling out each entry as you go.

Cons: Would like to have eBillity automatically update when new clients are added to our QB online system. Currently the administrator has to sync.

Overall: Provides a very user friendly way to enter our billing entries.

Works great if you use the website to put in your time.

Pros: The website is great and very user friendly. The layout where you can just put time for each day under the client once is very nice!

Cons: The app for the mobile is awful! It does not run smooth and is not setup like the website. The website is nice and shows the client and then the whole week so you can put time under the same client for each day instead of with the app where you have to do the client every time and have a lot more entries.

Overall: We went from handwritten time sheets, so this is much cleaner and nice that that time transfers to Quick Books.

Pros: Easy to use the timesheet and copy previous data. Billing report spreadsheet (time on a project) is helpful with comments & descriptions of scope worked.

Cons: It's not possible to edit project names or tasks. This must be done by the Administrator. So we list a general (non-billable use), then describe the project name, number, & scope in the Comments section. Then at a later date the Administrator will create and input the Project information & re-enter our data.

Overall: The data input is easily broken down in Reports to make Billing easier.

Pros: it is easy to use, very end user friendly, and the integration with Quickbooks is a useful feature.

Cons: We do have issues with it glitching quite often, where a time detail is entered but it will not save, the screen says it's in the process of saving for quite a long time but will never actually save. We end up always losing all the time that has been entered and even though we have contacted customer service regarding this issue a few times they have never been able to find a solution to it that avoids losing our data.

Ebillity has worked as a solution and we are fairly happy with it.

Pros: The fact that you can map program and classes to allocate time accordingly.

Its ability to push the data correctly to QuickBooks Timesheets.

Cons: You can't force the use of clock in/out ONLY vs. time entry. We cannot use Ebillity as a time solution for our entire company because of this.

It is very expensive compared to other time clock solutions

Rejecting time that was accidentally approved outside of a pay period is more time consuming than needed

Overall: Ability to assign both program and class to time entries for time allocation.

Pros: I think it's fairly inexpensive, so I guess that's good. I'm not sure if it's a great value though...

Cons: For a while I couldn't generate reports on billing to a particular matter. I contacted customer service and it took over 3 months to resolve the issue.

Also, the user interface for entering time needs to be simplified so everything is on one line. It would also be helpful to be able to use the same description of work performed over more than one week. Right now if I start something on Friday and the work continues the next week I need to enter something into the description field but I wouldn't need to do that if the work was done on Thurs and Fri of the same week.

Pros: Ease of access, with support on mobile devices. I can access timesheets with phone or tablet. The ability to quickly and easily generate reports is very helpful in project and budget management.

Cons: When manually adjusting the column widths on the time entries page, the table format gets messed up when moving the window to a different resolution screen. Whenever this happens, I have to reset to default table dimensions and resize manually. NBD, but it's something that can be improved.

Pros: Very user friendly, flexible time keeping system, QuickBooks connection is very functional. When we've had to contact support, staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The reports are not very flexible. I would like to be able to pull and sort reports with different criteria, but not all options are mix and match.

Overall: The ease of entering time entries has allowed our staff to submit time sheets with very little error. The ability to use classes, service types, and payroll items in the time sheets has sped up our entire payroll process.

Pros: It is user friendly, and provides a good interface to enter, submit and approve time sheets from anywhere that you have internet and is not only available via computer, but can be accessed via smart phone.

Cons: It sometimes has issues synchronizing to our accounting software. Sometimes it doesn't allow you to hover over one of the fields and show you the full description unless you close and re-open the application.

Overall: It is easier to enter and review time sheets. It provides you the information to choose from for entries.

Pros: Easy time tracking, you can access it from pretty much any device. I regularly use the report tools to review time billed to my work team's jobs without bugging out accounting department. This is a very useful tool.

Cons: There were some formatting issues in the past, but customer support was very helpful and fixed them for me! Customer support was in constant contact with me during resolution of the issues I experienced.

Overall: Easy time tracking, Easy reports on hours billed to work teams, or hours billed by an employee.

My experience using this product has been excellent.

Pros: It is simple to use, and does not require a lot of time to submit the hours worked during a week.

This product is excellent for managing a staff size with less than 500 employees.

It is a good tool for tracking employee time spent on specific business activities.

Cons: I have no real complaints to report regarding this product.

Overall: I am just an end user, who is required to log the hours worked during the week at a client's worksite.

Pros: Easy and quick. Nice and uncomplicated. Works reliably in manual save mode , allowing me to update my work time as I complete tasks during the day.

Cons: Very, very glitchy in Auto Save mode. Takes forever to complete an operation (like choosing a new customer), and produces weird artifacts. I never use it and tell co-workers to use manual Save, which allows me to be confident that it will take my time correctly.

Overall: It makes it easy to track my time, which is required to get paid. It is somewhat useful for totalling time on previous projects to estimate similar future projects. Note: The Industry chosen below is incorrect. I am not in Accounting, I am in network operations so that's either Telecommunications or IT.

Pros: I like that I am able to sign in to my account and log my hours in a fairly quick and efficient way. The sign-in is simple (just username and password), and then it only takes one click to get to a page where I can log my hours. Logging my hours is also pretty simple, and the information saves automatically and quickly.

Cons: What I like least is that I am not able to easily sort information in a way that I would find useful, or at least it is not intuitive how I would easily do that. I would like to be able quickly and easily sort how many hours I have logged by customer name for different time increments (this week, this month, forever), as well as for multiple customers that have some common quality (e.g., I get paid a higher rate for them), and probably other ways I would want to sort too.

Pros: The website has very little downtime and has maintained the same interface for years, which I have gotten used to.

Cons: Mobile app not updated for iPhone X and has a completely different interface from the website. Adding entries on the mobile app takes way too many clicks.

Would be nice to have a weekly timesheet that follows a template. I have the same few entries every week and would like to have a one-click solution to filling in the same project and service item every week.

Overall: it worked...mostly

Pros: I like that the software is online so I can access it from anywhere. It is also fairly easy to use.

Cons: The interface feels kind of cheap, like a late 90's program. It's also annoying to get a warning about not filling in all the fields while you are trying to fill in the fields. Apparently, you have to fill everything out in a certain order not to get the warning. I also dislike having the wait for it to save. Could the saving process not be faster?

Overall: Easy access. Easy to track time. Convenient.

Like going back in history to see previous job times.

Pros: The app is great easy to use. Like being able to go back and see previous times per job. Being able to pull up a job for a customer on a certain job description is great. Really helps with our estimates.

Cons: Wish the app had more options to choose from like the laptop version. Seems as if the app freezes up quite a bit where as the laptop version could be missing completely a customer that we have been soy with for a while. To remedy the problem you have to synchronize the program.

Pros: pretty easy on the eyes, it syncs well with quickbooks. The price point is great for a company of our size.

Cons: wish there were more logic built in. As in, the option for the Customer field to automatically update the payroll item, and class fields based on pre determined logic to avoid any mis charging. There should be more thought put into this to allow administrators to create logic based rule sets within the application for users (employees) to charge to easily without confusion.

Pros: I like that it is fairly simple to use and functional. It is easy to access, fill in the hours, easily modify and submit. It is a functional tool so as long as it doesn't consistently glitch then it is a win in my book.

Cons: Probably the one thing that I least like about the software is that it will on occasion have trouble logging in or accessing it. I get this long error looking message. So I just exit and wait for a few min and then re-access it. That is the only issue.

Pros: The ease of use and user-friendly layout makes navigating, setting up billing and data entry very easy and straightforward. Changes can be made quickly and simply, we utilize this software daily.

Cons: Graphically, the data entry seems dated, but that is a minor comment from a designer. If three were any upgrades tat could be made, a visual upgrade might be a welcome change.

Pros: User friendly and application is well design. Reports printing is easy and convenient when doing payroll

Cons: When working on a PC you need to maximize the window so as to see a straight line on a single item. If you work on a minimized window it will start fragmenting the single line into multiple lines thus being a little confusing, I'll rather scroll sideways and keep a single line rather than see all in the window, it might be a web browser thing though (chrome)

Pros: I like the fact that you can have employees scattered all over the country or even all over the world for that matter and they can simply login and enter their time and submit it easily using eBillity and their easy to use GUI.

Cons: I would like it to have better software for smartphones. I feel the app needs to be developed further and needs a better GUI. I think that most of the employees would use the app but it's hard enough to get them to enter their time let alone learning a new GUI. They need a simple easy to use interface that is bug freee.

Overall: Ability to have employees worldwide enter their time quickly and easily to keep A/R as current as possible.

Pros: We couldn't run our business without this software. Syncing with QuickBooks is the best feature, and the ease of adding new employees or vendors is awesome.

Cons: When adding a new client that syncs with eBillity, the default is to give all users access to the client. That box is always checked for each person. However, I have to manually add the client to each user's account. That's very annoying.

Overall: Fewer invoices to enter from our vendors makes this software so convenient. Syncing with QuickBooks.

Pros: I love how it integrates with QB so easliy, love how it brings over complex transactions such as customers and jobs, service items, payroll items, class tracking, etc. I also love the chat function and have had nothing but excellent service!

Cons: that some of my employees find that the mobile app does not work that efficiently. in the past (not recently) have had syncing errors which caused delays.

Overall: I think the product is working very effectively for us. I would not change anything!

Pros: The ability to download reports of past billed time. It's helpful to be able to look back and print out past work to share with a team or the client to show what we've been working on in an account.

Cons: The inability to have multiple boxes open at a time. The character limit on the commentary is a downside and causes me to have to create a new timer file at times.

Overall: Easy way to track time billed to clients within an agency setting. The ability to keep detailed notes about what I did is super helpful!

Pros: The ability to integrate our construction project job costing requirements as well as Quickbooks export.

Cons: Did not export to our payroll processing application (other than Quickbooks). Was difficult to add new employees for multiple administrators for a company even though additional seats could be added. There was not a mass update feature for auditing job code assignments to various employees.

Overall: Better detail in the timekeeping to allow more insightful analysis. Integration with Quickbooks.

Pros: I like that the software is mostly easy to use. The predictive typing usually gets me where I need to go quickly.

Cons: The predictive typing isn't always the most user-friendly. For example, if I type "kansas" it keeps all of the "arkansas" items in the list first. It would be better if it matched my first letter to the first letter in the filtered list. Also, the refresh is sometimes very slow.

Overall: This software helps us track our project time utilization and better schedule time and pricing.

Recording my work hours is very fast and easy. The user interface is very user friendly.

Pros: What I like most is the Auto Save mode and the copy last timesheet. this makes my time recording fast and easy. And, also, the dropdown list selection of weeks time recorded, you can search for past recording time and easily go back to the current week.

Cons: What I like least is the Reset Timesheet View, which I don't use it, because I really don't need it when the user interface were too easy to record my time hours worked.

Overall: Fast and easy recording of my hours worked.

Pros: The tracker program works well across multiple platforms. As easy to use on a Mobal device as it is on a desktop.

Cons: It's a good time keeping program but some of the management functions are not as intuitive as they could be. Additionally, the software has sent time card reminders on Fridays regardless of the status of the weekly card. For example. If I submit weekly house on Friday it has sent reminders to fill out the time card anyway.

Overall: Simple easy to use and stable.

Works for basic needs. But other time trackers have more functionality.

Pros: I like the option to copy last weeks sheet. Auto-Save function. Being able to unsubmit time sheets to correct.

Cons: Not being able to see an overview of hours by month, week, year, etc. Accidental duplication of line items. Not being able to look back over the past year. Pros: It is simple to log in and record time. I like being able to record notes of work on each job. Perhaps more lines for daily notes would be helpful.

Cons: Getting people on the team to log in and record time can be very daunting. Also a little more functionality and/or reporting would be nice. Perhaps we just need training. Also I do not think we have our set up correctly with the service item and class and retaining could be a real bear.

Pros: That I can easily sync time entries with Quickbooks; there are many ways to use classes to help distinguish between billable and non-billable time; I can run reports telling me how much time an employee took off during a year.

Cons: Initially syncing with Quickbooks can be very difficult particularly if you switch Quickbooks products and must start over; going back to edit or adjust time post-approval.

Overall: Ease of use and reduction on amount of time I spend on creating invoices.

Pros: I like that I can easily input my data with time-coded categories that can then be easily interpreted by my office administrator. Also, I appreciate being able to go back and edit errors, especially after I submitted my weekly information.

Cons: The mobile app always takes me a long time to input my data, especially after the day of. I feel like the ease of use in the mobile app could be improved. For reference, I have an iphone.

Overall: I'm not sure I benefit personally?

Pros: It provides a great way for teams to enter time and have it reviewed by managers before submitting into QuickBooks. It also provides quick reports on entered time which can help ensure all team members are entering time as appropriate.

Cons: It really should provide an expense tracking mechanism as many of our team members have to spend out-of-pocket money to complete customer support jobs.

Overall: Easy and quick insight into time entries before having them submitted to QuickBooks.

Time Tracker still has some glitches that have people coming to the front office to complain.

Cons: Sometimes you can't sign in for several tries, then all of a sudden for no reason you can suddenly sign in. The time tracker website does not function correctly or let our employees log in most often on Fridays in particular. We also think the user interface would benefit from larger viewing areas where contracts are selected.

Pros: Ease of Access, the fact that there is an app available if you aren't in front of PC. Also like the ease-ability to access-edit entries and add notes for billing and time allocation

Cons: Extended reporting options - (they could be there...but perhaps, I am just not aware)

When running reports, I find myself having to sort the various categories...as it doesn't seem to sort them separately (again, there is probably a feature for it, but its not intuitive)

Pros: I like the ability to see or print reports of each individual person(s) allotted time spent for a particular project/job and can be used to compare with our overall budget to calculate profit & loss. In this way, we can see where our budget numbers can be adjusted more appropriately for future projects.

Cons: When entering text in the fields through a web browser and you resize the browser window to be smaller, I have to click on "Reset Timesheet View" to reorganize the text fields to know what column box I am entering text into instead of the entry being automatically readjusted for change in browser window size. I would prefer to have the desired entry field views to not automatically readjust the entry field boxes upon resizing the window to be smaller and instead have the ability to side scroll.

Could be way better, will put comments in Cons..

Pros: Once you are in, it is easy to navigate and reacts decently. Like the save automatically option as well.

Cons: When I go to sign in, I have always clicked the remember me box. However, about once a week, if not more often, it will wipe out my user name and I have to put it back in again. When making corrections, it is not easy to determine how to correct hours. What it tells you to do doesn't always work correctly. Also, I get an email every Friday about putting my time in, when it is up to date through Thursday and Fridays time is not yet worked. (That may be an option of the owner of the software, don't know)

Pros: I think it's easy to enter jobs and time. I like the fact that it keeps a library of open jobs that you can narrow down as you type in the job number.

Cons: It doesn't show the complete job information after you enter it in, so it can make it sort of difficult to enter the correct time to to correct client. It gives you the job info if you hover over the job, but only after you exit out or change pages then come back.

Overall: Turning in my time and printing a PDF for myself.

Very easy to use. Also it is easy to separate out work done by day/week/month and by project.

Pros: The ease of use and accessibility to historic time records. The pull down tabs are logical and it is easy to find what you are looking for. The features are self explanatory and work as promised.

Cons: Have to add extra rows all the time for entries there are not enough rows and I don't understand why you cannot provide automatic additional rows for time entries.

Overall: Being able to enter my own time as I go through my day. Being able to search project names and file numbers. Being able to type my own job description (not limited to set job descriptions that don't quite match). Also being able to search past work on projects by day or project name/number is very helpful.

Pros: Ease of use for our consultants to input information about their hours; ease of use on the administrative end in running reports.

Cons: Not a 'con', but a suggestion...adding a field where we could track expenses or mileage that needs to be passed on to our clients would be helpful. Then when I run my end-of-project or end-of-month time report, I can also see other expenses that need to be billed to that client.

Pros: The integration with our billings and accounting platforms is very helpful. It is also great to be able to see an in-time snapshot of each team members activity for any given day, week or month.

Cons: It is a bit time consuming to make entries...would be helpful if some of the repeating tasks were automated/customized.

Overall: Tracking our employees focus and work is very helpful to how we serve our clients. Having integration with our billing and accounting platform is the most helpful.

I use eBillity to submit my weekly timesheet to the company HR and payroll.

Pros: The layout of the weekly timesheets section is well laid out, easy to understand and use. Alterations to the timesheet choices can be done by the administrator at our company in a fairly quick manner, with little turn around time.

Cons: Every so often it is buggy and doesn't display correctly. There are also times when ebility is down completely and I can't enter my timesheet entries when I need to. But it is usually up again in less than a day.

Works well; like the client for Android and desktop. Integration with Quickbooks seems to work well

Pros: Need a module to track expenses and mileage that also allows integration of entries with Quickbooks. Generally simple and intuitive. Sync between platforms works well.

Cons: No expense/mileage module. Would like to see options to set reminders (e.g. approve entries of team members). Also the display of entries on Android (I use Samsung Note 5) doesn't complete fit the screen. Would be nice to have font size option.

Overall: Good revenue collection tool.

Ebility has been very convenient for our office and we've managed to keep bill pay under control.

Pros: I love that you can sync it with Quickbooks. We struggled to find a software that was compatible with QB and was easy enough to work with as far as entering time, keeping track of clients, etc. This has been so simple and workable for everyone in our office.

Cons: Some things are a little tough to figure out initially - it isn't as user friendly in the beginning, you definitely have to work at it to get comfortable but it's not impossible. Everyone in our office has mastered it, but it took some time to be able to do so. The online video workshops really helped.

Overall: Being able to generate billing easily.

Pros: It does what we need it to do--sync with QB, give our staff the ability to record time to each of our projects at a range of hourly rates.

Cons: We can't sync only some of the open clients/projects from QB; we can't customize how the project names appear in the timesheet. Both of these result in old or long/confusing project names that are cumbersome. Also, there seem to be a number of syncing issues; not sure if this is QB's fault or ebility's?

I like the website but am not crazy about it.

Pros: I like that I can easily access the software directly from my internet browser.

Cons: 1. No iPhone app

2. Website is sometimes slow to load

3. No way for a user to correct prior errors. I wish that I could un-check the "Billable" box once it had already been approved. I don't see a way to correct prior mistakes.

4. No pay period displayed. How can I tell which week is the end of my pay period?

As a subcontractor eBillity allows me to easily track the time I spend on each clients work.

Pros: Easy to track time, categorize the type of work I am doing and take more detailed notes. The option to export to a CSV file allows me to easily transfer my time to a client provided invoice template when needed, or import into accounting software.

Cons: Every once in awhile it gets buggy - especially after they added the sidebar feature but CS is usually quick to help resolve any issues that come up.

Overall: Easily tracking time for invoice creation.

This used to be a good product, it has gotten buggy and created significant headaches recently.

Pros: The ease of entering time on a desktop computer or on a phone. Tech support can be helpful and responsive on smaller issues.

Cons: It has scrambled Quickbooks data (took over 40 hours to fix), the reporting and quickbooks sync is very buggy, the widget no longer works, and despite many requests, the widget does not populate class information. Tech support needs constant prodding to resolve big issues.

Overall: Multiple people can submit time for approval

ETT allows for easy time entry, a clear list of entries for the day/week and generates reports

Pros: Easy to navigate to past entries from previous days/weeks/months. Can generate CSV reports easily by client and date range(s).

Cons: The entries from the week view can be difficult to see while scrolling as the box is very small and so scrolling through an entry can sometimes start scrolling through the list of entries. I would be interested in having a larger/wide box to be able to see the entire time entry at a glance, without having to scroll through the entry box, as sometimes I update an entry without opening it individually, just from the week view.

Overall: Daily time entry, generated exportable reports.

Our overall experience with eBillity has been great!

Pros: The ease of use and dependability of the product is what we like most about it. I haven't used the customer support too often, but when I have they have been very good and resolving our issues.

Cons: The fact that it doesn't have a tiered/hierarchy approval process for timesheets. It would be helpful if we could have line managers approve employees under them, then the upper management could do the final approval for the timesheets.

Pros: Less write-down of hours with real-time logging of billable hours. Frees me up from having to log hours at the end of the day or week, which was an unpleasant task and often forgotten details of tasks

Cons: It freezes up sometimes and I have to create separate time entries rather than keeping a running entry for the day

Overall: Frees me up to be more productive during the day and also to bill more accurately for my time worked, impacting overall profit to my company

didn't like it at first, but it really helps me keep track of where my time goes each day

Pros: pre-filled fields, its easy to select clients and tasks. i liked it when i figured out i could have several timers going at the same time and just toggle between them

Cons: sometimes i lose my timer if i close my browser by mistake. The reports feature is a bit tedious. I like to get summaries of how much time on various clients, and looking at those reports is sometimes a pain

Overall: it helped me to capture more of my billable time for client work.

Pros: I like how this software is compatible with QuickBooks. I have less data entry because of this product. I also like the reports this software gives me.

Cons: This product is a little user unfriendly. The app doesn't always work properly, and I have a few employees with issues at least on a monthly basis.

Overall: It integrates with my accounting software so there is less data entry. Plus it's accessible from anywhere, so my employees have access when they are on the road.

Easy to use remotely when boss is screaming at you to turn in timesheet.

Pros: Record keeping and reporting, You cant lie about your hours when a report is tossed in your face.

I can submit time sheet via phone. This is awesome.

I get to laugh at co-workers when boss holds up report and catches them lying .

Cons: There is really nothing to dislike about the product.

Pros: allows me to just do time. syncs with website so i can delete app and reinstall and login - i don't have to backup data from the app or worry about it.

Cons: I have to login to the website to get my time to sync to quickbooks. I wish I could initiate that from the app. I also dislike that it makes it difficult to enter items as opposed to time - I hack this by adjusting the hourly rate to match the cost of the item.

Overall: I make money.
