Comments: Emily Bifano was a great support person. She went through several employee changes with our agency and did great. We were forced to centralize all our HR processes into 1 software, which is why we had to cancel our services. Would recommend.

Pros: Hyrell was very flexibility for job postings and functionality for small business. Very helpful to develop a good job board, best feature was the automation of job postings to national job boards.

Cons: Takes a lot of time to create new jobs in the system in order to post them. It is sometimes difficult for new employee/Managers to learn the process.

Pros: I love the virtual interviews, it's the best part of the software. Being able to ask pre-interview questions prior to ever picking up the phone and scheduling an interview really allows us to find out specifics about the individual including writing style, schedule preferences and ideaology.

Cons: Not being able to block candidates that we've already ruled out from being able to continuously apply.

Overall: Easier and way more efficient applicant reviews, scheduling of interviews, and merging of data into our online handbook HR platform

Pros: Very user friendly!

Comments: We moved from an all paper application process to Hyrell's cloud based platform almost two years ago. We have been very pleased. Our applicants love being kept in the hiring loop and the software makes it easy to communicate with one or many applicants at a time. Hyrell features an option that sends a text alert to candidates when their resume is reviewed, they are invited to an interview, etc. Candidates love this feature! And the text feature as well as the ease with which we can send messages and status updates, reflects positively on us and helps boost our reputation as an employer of choice.

Pros: I love the skills questions and the interview questions. We've been able to effectively use these features to quickly sort through applicants and find our best interview candidates.

Cons: Hyrell is very responsive to customer suggestions and is continuously updating their platform. The one update I eagerly await is the auto parsing of resumes. Right now applicants fill out their work history and attach a resume. I'm looking forward to system improvements that will automatically read the resume and fill in the work history for the applicant to review.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would strongly recommend Hyrell.

Comments: Before Hyrell, we were using multiple different websites and forms to gather information to process applicants. Hyrell helped streamline our hiring process so beautifully! We were able to merge communication, applications, forms and background checks all in one platform. Hyrell has made my job SO much easier.

Pros: Background Check function, Streamlined application process

Cons: Inter-communication within Hyrell was tricky at first. We just had to be really aware of who we were replying to and making sure to include the correct people. After we got used to that, it has been smooth sailing!

Comments: Hyrell is pretty easy to use and the functions it has are very helpful. It offers on organized and effective way to track applicants. This is has been great for my company in particular in that we exist in 11 cities across the US and I manage hiring for all of them. We hire 75-100 interns every year so having a system that puts all of them in one place is super helpful.

Pros: It can handle the load of applicants we receive. Our staff can communicate effectively through the system, all conversations are logged and can be seen so you always know what has been communicated to the applicant and each other.

Cons: Can sometimes be a little glichy but customer service is excellent.

Hyrell is excellent in all aspects! I highly recommend it for smaller companies!

Comments: Hyrell is very user friendly & intuitive! However, if you have any questions they have the most wonderful support teams! Even their initial demo is short, sweet, and to the point. It leaves you with enough knowledge to get started on your own. Please keep in mind there is so much you can do with Hyrell, so make sure to use all the features it offers! Buy & Enjoy!

Pros: The vendor is very involved and always ready to help and you always get the same representative.

Cons: I have only been using for 3 months and I have not found anything I do not like. I will know more when I pull out the Affirmative Action information

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend reviewing the size of the company, the customer service and just how the implementation works and how much the cost is if there is one.

Pros: Easy to implement. Very reasonably priced. Service team is east coast based

Cons: Too many data fields and pages are not changeable. Plus given the product is fairly new - there are many more versions before they get all they get all of the quirks out of the product that satisfy customers. Plus too slow to meet new and changing compliance laws. Not as flexible as the try to sell prospective customers. Not as easy to use as several other products. Feels like it was built engineers not recruiters.

Recommendations to other buyers: See my comments above. Any customer that considering the product see the finished version before signing or sending any money.

technically challenged.

Cons: If your company operates in multiple locations applicants WILL apply to the wrong location from time to time. The software will not allow you to re assign an applicant to another region or to another position. This can be extremely frustrating when you want to close a region but have a pending app out there.

In general the website can be slow.

Overall I really have enjoyed my experience with Hyrell. My client manager is amazing and is very responsive. I believe due to the size and scale of our company we experience some unique challenges. I would definitely recommend this software is you're looking for a stand alone ATS. Hyrell has significantly reduced our time to hire by over as week and we have been able to use our manpower to focus on other things besides hiring.

Comments: Hyrell has an extremely helpful staff with set up and follows up just to make sure everything is working properly. Quick response time to help fix any issue and overall extremely accommodating. I cannot say enough about how great their installation team is - Emily Russen was amazing to work with and extremely helpful at every step. This was seriously one of the best interactions I've had with a vendor. Quick set up, they also have a lot of "community" job posts that you can alter to fit what you need instead of writing a job posting from scratch. Very user friendly system and makes it so you can forward applications to other employees to review and schedule interviews. We also got a lot of great applicants within a few days of putting up our job postings. The only system limitation that is that you can't print the offer letters / acceptance. Instead, you print a correspondence of you sending the offer letter and the applicant excepting but no actual copy of what was sent prints out. Hyrell is an amazing program with an even better staff I would definitely recommend it to other businesses.

Very happy with the ease of use and the Customer support is by far the best!

Comments: I have been in the industry for 20 years and have worked with multiple systems througout the years. By far Hyrell has the best customer service and support that I have ever come in contact with.

The Pros: Ability to use for a person who has worked with ATS otherwise it may be difficult for a person who has never used an ATS but the customer support makes up for that.

The Cons: Only 5 jobs are written up for implementation which is not a bad thing like I said I have used many ATS but for someone who has not used any ATS it may be a very difficult.

If I could make a suggestion that I think would really make a huge difference is to make the system more user friendly for a company that is trying to pull out consistent Job descriptions.

Comments: Our office was searching for an applicant tracking/online hiring system that would be easy for both the applicants and hiring managers to use, but didn't skimp out on technical aspects we were looking for. Furthermore, being a municipality, we were on a tight budget.

Hyrell has helped us achieve our hiring goals while meeting our budget requirements! The ease of use has been great for our hiring managers and HR. We have totally opened up communication with our candidates and increased job posting exposure, with Hyrell's feature of posting to internet job boards. We also have the capability to post positions in a fashion so that the postings are only available to our current employees.

The customer service Hyrell provides is also outstanding. When first integrating to the system, we were provided with a representative that worked very closely with us to help us implement the system, provided 1-on-1 training for both HR and the hiring managers, and continues to check in regularly, even several months after! If there has ever been an issue or question, the representative has been incredibly reachable and responsive.

Hyrell may not have every "bell and whistle" that other online hiring systems offer, but they're very close and you can't beat the prices they offer for the service they provide! They have a suggestion board for their customers to submit their ideas for better improvements to the system, and also a great database of frequently asked questions and answers to help you solve any problems you may encounter.

Overall, it's a great hiring system if you are looking for something that is easy to use and very straightforward, while still achieving your hiring goals!

Hyrell has made hiring a fun experience.

Comments: Hyrell saves time, it's efficient and reliable. All the feedback i received from the hiring managers is positive.
There are two things that one hiring manager commented on. Below is her comment:
"So far I like using Hyrell. I would like to see the most current communication between candidate and manager to be on top.
I don¿t like the new updated section of the scoring; I liked it when they did an overall score based on % once the virtual interview score was tallied. There is already a part that you can ¿star¿ a candidate that you really like so having to choose ¿excellent, good, average¿etc.¿ is doing the same action"

Comments: The Hyrell system allows you to present your company information and benefits, details about the position, and to set up pre-screening (yes/no) questions. The screening questions weed out the candidates who don't meet the minimum essential job requirements. The answers are automatically scored so it is easy to compare candidates. There is also a virtual interview section where the candidate has to respond in more detail. This shows you how well the candidate writes/expresses himself (you score this section yourself). There are many other bells and whistles that help you manage incoming candidate data.

Comments: Firstly, the customer service of this company is superb! Whenever I have a question or concern, I get a quick and extremely helpful response.

When we first started using Hyrell, there were a few bugs to work out but the engineers were able to fix problems in a very timely manner. I also love the webinars that are offered each month. I try to utilize this resource as much as possible and always feel like each session has been worth my time.

The only cons I can think of are directly related to how my organization operates. I manage hiring in 11 different cities and the system isn't super intuitive for that special need. However, we haven't had any major issues with this. It just creates a bit more administrative work on our end. But once those systems were set in place, we discovered it was worth it in the long run.

The more I explore the features of this software, the more I enjoy using it. I love having everything for hiring in one place!

Comments: We all have people in our organization who seem to struggle with new software, no matter how easy it may be to use. For me personally, after receiving an online demo I was able to navigate Hyrell and use it to it's full advantages (despite a few hectic calls to my Rep when I got stuck), and I just love the product. It saves me time and effort by gathering a tremendous amount of information that you don't find on a resume alone. We have about 77 active users in our organization, and I'm happy to say around 50 of them understand the software, use it for all it's worth, and are incredibly happy with it.

Pros:
Virtual Interviews, soft and hard skill questions really do give me 90% of the information I need regarding a candidate before I ever pick up the phone and schedule an interview.
Paperless drug screening has changed my life.
Customer service is top notch and I've never gone longer than 5 minutes without a return call and immediate fix to my issue.
Giving the candidates the ability to withdraw their application is the wave of the future.

Cons:
I don't believe this product was made for a company with as many locations, departments, and moving parts like we are. There are some hiccups such as not being able to turn off certain types of notifications or even limiting who receives the notifications no matter what we seem to do.
The training videos need to be made for more specific situations, like "how to duplicate and modify an existing position" instead of only showing how to create a new ad or duplicate one from the pre-filled library. I'd even like one to show step by step how to initiate a drug test.
The emails that go to the candidates should definitely have way more indepth information without me having to type it in every time. Especially with how the background/drug testing works.

Our company has truly benefited from Hyrell.

Comments: The Hyrell system is very easy to learn and use. The company offers online training and webinars to help those who are new to it. The system also saves me so much time. I don't know what I did without it before. I love that they are constantly improving and adding new things to the system. They listen to what their customers want and implement it into their system. The system allows me to customize the application, standard messages, postings, etc to make my life easier. The customer service is great. I can't see myself or my organization using any other applicant / hiring system.

Comments: The Hyrell system is really intuitive to use for both employers and job seekers. On the employer end, there are almost endless options to customize the system to fit the branding and recruiting needs of your company. Overall, you can get quick help from the Hyrell team with any issues using the system. They are very open to feedback and suggestions to make the system better but it might take some time for those changes to actually come to fruition. Overall, this system has a lot more bells and features than other ATS' I've used and should be on anyone's short list of potential systems to utilize!

Comments: I recently noticed a limitation in regards to scheduling an interview; and after the technician reviewed my comments they agreed to make the adjustment. No extra fees, just a simple response, "you are right, that should work better". That kind of response is exactly why their customer service has been impressive. Additionally, the account executive is always responsive to emails and phone calls and took the time to ensure my whole team was well trained on the system. She even made us a specialized training video - again without any additional costs. The cons are, as with every system, there are limitations that don't exactly fit our specific business needs. This could be resolved by Hyrell adding more and more options to customize each customer experience within the admin controls.

All the features we need at an affordable price.

Comments: Implementation was made easy by our Implementation Specialist - Emily Russen. She did all the heavy lifting in setting up our site and was very patient in walking us through the software. Hyrell has saved us hours on phone screens alone. Plus, we are able to eliminate paper and automate our processes. Applicants even tell us its the best system they've used!!

Recruiting is an everyday job and Hyrell allows me to sleep a few hours while it works for me!

Comments: Hyrell is the perfect fit for our fast paced and fast growing organization. I am pleased with the ease of the website on the administrative side. With just a few clicks our prospective candidates can go to our website and see all the career opportunities . The jobs listed are easy to read and apply for. The custom pre-built templates are thorough with everything I need to recruit great candidate's.
Hyrell has made tracking, onboarding and hiring qualified applicants easy in every aspect. We have really big goals to continue to grow and I see Hyrell being a part of that growth for many years. With growth like ours it is hard to find vendors that make things so easy and Emily and Hyrell did just that for our H/R department and Northwest Motorsport Inc.

Hyrell is a great ATS. It allows users to manage prospects with ease.

Comments: Tried many online services to locate employees for my facility. After the first week we had over 200 inquires and all open shifts filled with qualified candidates. We now use the service to add additional qualified employees to our team. Would recommend to anyone, no matter the company size.

Comments: Our company was using a similar product prior to being introduced to Hyrell. Hands down, the switch was the right decision. The product design & functionality were well thought out...and very obviously tested in "real world" circumstances before finalizing. Hyrell's partnership with other vendors (i.e. Indeed) is a win, win, win - for Hyrell, their clients, & the job seeker. Hyrell continues to improve & update their product. The support and ongoing training provided by their staff is professional, timely, & valuable.

Comments: I've only worked with Hyrell's applicant tracking software a few weeks but so far, it has been a wonderful experience. So many tasks can be accomplished within the software; applicant acknowledgements, scheduling interviews, sending rejection letters, etc. I spend less time paying phone tag with applicants and more time developing new relationships with organizations to bring in talent.

The only issue I have run into has been with scheduling multiple managers to an interview. At present, the software will not allow more than one manager to be invited to an interview. So, I'm using Outlook for those instances.

Comments: The pros would be that even someone like me , who doesn't have the greatest skills at the computer, I am 50 years old, I feel there is nothing I have encountered with it that is "over my head" or "too difficult to navigate" . Also a very important point is that I don't have an excess of my work hours to be stuck in a system I have a hard time working with. I find that it is very beneficial to our office & our specific needs.

Comments: Pros - Very easy to use. Simple tool.

Cons - 1) Unable to move candidate to a different position for hire, 2) Unable to manually create a new hire to a requisition, 3) unable to edit position once already posted. 4) Running reports is complicated.

The software is very user friendly as a basic tool and Hyrell representative is very customer service oriented, always assessable and very helpful.

Comments: Hyrell offers value for business looking to make a spend that will count. We started with Hyrell about a year ago and we feel like our ability to better understand our applicant process, combined with the genuine desire of the Hyrell team to reach out for ways to improve their value makes this system well worth the expenditure. In addition, Hyrell offers additional webinars and other training to add value to the process. Best bang for buck compared to other systems we reviewed.

Comments: I really like that multiple people can have access to the applicants. I can keep track of the progress of my hiring managers. I like that I can communicate with the applicants through the system. I really like that you can request references through the system. The virtual interview questions are great and helpful in determining if an applicant is a good fit before we bring them in for an onsite interview. Sending turn-down emails is very simple as well. Customer service is outstanding!

It takes a while to post positions because we have to copy each responsibility, duty, etc line by line and past it into Hyrell. It would be nice if we could copy and paste entire sections.

We love how we can customize each job posting, responses and other fields.
Wish we had more time to utilize all the options available on Hyrell as it would make us even more efficient.
Customer service is outstanding - quickly address any issues and keep you posted with the status of your concern. There are some areas in Hyrell that could be better but what they have far outweighs anything we have ever used previously.
Highly recommend Hyrell!

Comments: I like the hard/soft skills beacause at a glance I can eliminate applicants based on their score. The virtual interview in my favorite part. In this section I understand the applicant, I can judge their writting skilss (applicable per position) Kind of like getting to know the applicant. Sometimes the resumes that are uploaded are not in right format so I dont get to see everything. The breakdown of the employee history tabs clears everything up for me. The interview scheduling can be a little overwhelming. I dont utilize the Hire or Intiate offer tabs. The reject button is awsome and convenient.

Comments: We did an evaluation of Applicant Tracking Systems and Hyrell came out on top. They have all the major features you would want out of an ATS including integration with major job boards, tracking of applicant communications, and full tracking of applicants throughout their process. Their customer service is very personalized and we're able to get answers to questions almost immediately. They really helped us through implementation to ensure that we were providing applicants with the best experience to explore careers at our organization. Their pricing model allows for affordability for any size organization.

Comments: Hyrell has been tremendously helpful in drawing in potential candidates. Our volume of interest rose well over 300%. Hyrell has definitely increased our visibility as a potential work place. Everything about the system is easy to navigate after some initial training and exploring the system. I feel at times the system is sluggish in loading information, but I am aware that they are working on that. Customer service has been above and beyond my expectations. Phone calls and emails are responded to in a timely manner. Additionally, they offer periodic discussions on topics relevant to hiring and best business practices.
Hyrell has certainly made my job as a recruiter much, much easier.

As we have grown; HYRELL has been very flexible in helping us grow with our needs.

Pros: In the time that we have been using this software, there are three major things that stand out. First, the ease of navigating the software, it is very easy to navigate around as well as make customizations to many of the features of the program. Second, the set up process was painless, I submitted basic information to the company and they had a trial site up and running within 2 days. Third, the support I get from them is second to none. If I have a problem or a question, it is addressed immediately by my account representative.

Cons: Mostly, I wish they posted to more than 4 job boards automatically. They do give the ability to have an ad created from your post that you can use to post to the boards they do not post to, but it would be nice to have this done automatically to more of the bigger job boards.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take the time to ensure that it meets the needs of your company. Ensure that it has the features and ability to customize that you are looking for. There are many features to this software that currently we are not using, but they are features that we will be implementing in the near future to make our recruiting process even more streamline.

Overall, Hyrell is meeting our needs.

Comments: I have been using Hyrell for over 3 years now. I find that it is very easy to keep track of all of your applicants and to record messages and have a full application that is user friendly. I like the virtual interview questions and having these helps limit people from just sending a resume who aren't really qualified for a position. Since the application requires more work it deters applicants that aren't committed and interested in the position. Applicants are archived so that if you are looking for someone in the future you can go to the pool of applicants that you already have very easily.

Comments: We chose Hyrell system because it was the most customization system we found. There is very little that we weren't able to tweak to make the recruiting experience exactly what we needed for our Agency. We were able to write our own screening questions and mix in provided questions for a thorough pre-screening process that gives us much more insight into a candidate than a resume alone. The Hyrell system also allows for e-mail communication between the hiring team, managers and the candidate; much faster than playing phone tag with all those people! All needed documentation can be uploaded to the system, and sent to applicants, so everything is saved in one file, electronically. This as cut down on the amount of paper on my desk drastically! Reference checks can be performed via an e-mail message and a link to a text box or a customized form. And when the candidate is hired, you can download their whole file and turn it into a personnel file with little-to-no hassle.

Bill and Jeremy, our contacts at Hyrell, were extremely accommodating. From answering questions via e-mail to calling to check in, there has never been a time where I had a question they couldn't answer. Even when they said "I don't know" it was followed by "I'll check up on that" and I had an answer by the end of the day. The webinar training for me as an administrator and for our hiring managers was thorough and fast-paced enough to fit into busy schedules.

This system has helped us reduce our "interview to on boarding" time , and made the job of this recruiter much easier and more pleasant!

Comments: I have used other applicant tracking systems in the past. Hyrell is, by far, the easiest to use. The communication between applicants through Hyrell via email is a great way to keep the history, as well as letting you know at a glance where you are with each applicant. The Reports are a great feature and the customer service is the best I have ever encountered - The Account Rep is knowledgeable and willing to educate each user in our office. The only con I can think of is that I need the system to be able to generate a report of all open positions and their location that I can post at our different locations.

Comments: Our organization started using Hyrell a year ago, and we couldn't be happier with it. It is extremely user friendly (I mean VERY easy to use), customer service has been great and the price is right! Our applicant flow has increased over 100% since we started using it.

We've been integrating with a background check vendor for a few months now as well, and have been very please with this process too.

Overall, we couldn't be happier....I can't think of any complaints.

Comments: We are a smaller non-profit, but based in fourteen different locations. Each location has a hiring manager and we needed a system that could help us easily communicate across the board. Hyrell did just that.

Our account manager was A-mazing. Anytime we had an issue, she was available and helped us out. We did run into a few snags in the very beginning (some bugs, some issues just translating our processes into a new system) and she patiently got us through every one.

We highly recommend Hyrell to anyone that's needing to simplify their hiring systems, especially any organization that has offices that communicate remotely.

Very easy to use, great tool for new hires and managers bringing new employees on board.

Comments: Emily Russen has been great, she did our training and set up with Hyrell. She has been available for any questions and emails me to check in routinely. She has been a huge support, even when i was on vacation, when another staff had to do some work in Hyrell and change ads, she was able to check it for her in my absence! Just continued teaching and training is much appreciated. Managers have been very pleased with the system and communication they can have within Hyrell with their applicants. This system saves me, HR, a lot of time. From responding to resumes, to allowing managers to work their own process for hiring employees, to having an electronic file of their application for our HR electronic documents. Very pleased with the product! We only have half our managers using it, I'm excited to see how the rest of them go and how we continue to use Hyrell for our HR needs.

Comments: The pro's are the ease of use, the wide exposure it gives our company, and the reasonable cost. I like the virtual interview piece and I love the community library feature. It makes it so quick and easy to develop a template for a job posting. The hard and soft skills piece is very helpful in qualifying candidates at a glance and the virtual interview is great for getting a quick look at the candidates.

I like the ability to communicate with the hiring managers and candidates through the system.

When I do need help, I like the on-line FAQ's and quicklinks. When I need more help, I know I will get a quick response from our rep, Emily. Even when I haven't asked for help, Emily is proactive in contacting me just to make sure everying is going well. I also like the periodic webinars that are offered.

The only con I have experienced is that if I don't catch a typo or a needed change before I post a job, then I have to unpost it to make the correction or change.

Comments: We started using Hyrell about 3 months ago and could not be happier. We have 6 locations and are getting ready to open a 7th in a few weeks so hiring is a priority. The number of applicants we have received has been incredible! Plus, we have saved a great deal of money! Before we would place individual ads on websites and in newspapers, spending hundreds of dollars for little results. Since Hyrell posts on Indeed and other sites all at once, and allows for mobile access, we are getting many more applicants. We even added a link to our website so we can move towards a paperless application process. As for ease of use, Hyrell offers some great webinars and one-on-one help for my new managers. The managers have adapted easily to the system and find it very user friendly. As an administrator, it took some time to get set up but once I had the library created, posting a new job opening is a snap! I am new to the company and rolling Hyrell out was my first project. Thanks for making me look good!

Comments: Great applicant tracking system. Once you understand the logic it is easy to use. Great industry/position specific templates and questions. Would like there to be more flexibility with being able to move candidates from one position to another. Also there should be a separate notes section for all applicants with the timeline on it to track the different stages as well as add any notes that the recruiter or manager would like to add about the applicant. I like the fact that the company listens to your requests and work towards adjusting things accordingly.

Comments: Hyrell has been one of the smartest and most useful decisions made by our HR department. We moved from a completely paper process to an all-online process overnight.

The software is very good and the team behind the product makes this a 5 star application. Hyrell is the most responsive company I've had the pleasure to work with for any type of HR software. They have provided great solutions to our specific company needs I see upgrades and feature expansions roll out all the time based on user requests from myself and others. They delight in listening to their customer base and working to make their product better.

Applicants report a much improved experience and appreciate the increased communication. We send out updates every two weeks or so for all current applicants. The software makes it easy to stay in touch.

Pros: This product combines a strong feature set with a great UI. Those of you familiar with bootstrap interfaces will be instantly familiar with the UI. In addition, the feature set is strong. It includes all of the basic functionality of an ATS, with some intriguing additions. In particular, our business adheres to DOT and FMCSA regulations, and Hyrell makes that easy by offering a DOT module that allows applicants to be asked all of the required questions. On the back end, this portal allows HR users to store documents and tests as required by the FMCSA.

Cons: Sometimes the UI flow patterns are a little different from the way that our users expect them to be, but nothing mission critical. Just something to get used to.

Recommendations to other buyers: Rack and stack this product against other ATSs, because it's most beneficial to see them in light of other systems. Hyrell isn't the cheapest, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for the best experience with the most features combined with the best price: the biggest bang for my spend. I think that is where Hyrell really shines.

Comments: Overall Hyrell makes hiring very easy. I like the customizable application and virtual interview. They also have useful integrated services such as background checks and WOTC forms (you have to set these up with 3rd party vendors).

Pros: The virtual interview is helpful in that it gives applicants the opportunity to answer long form questions; much more personal than a multiple choice or a resume. You can also see where applicants are coming from and reduce the cost of posting jobs.

Cons: The user interface is a bit lacking; for example posting a job requires that you create the job then move it to library and then post it (I may not be describing the process 100% right but it is a multi-step process).

Comments: We moved from an all paper system to Hyrell. What an amazing improvement in applicant communication, hiring time and business efficiency! The Hyrell team has been phenomenal in their communication and responsiveness. The system provides easy ways to review applicants and select the best interview candidates. We tailor the application to each specific position and receive better information from candidates as a result. The SAAS model has worked very well as hiring managers can access applications from any web connection. We've received unsolicited feedback from applicants that they've never received updates when applying elsewhere and they are even more positive about working for our company after the high communication experience they receive through the Hyrell system. The text alert feature is quite unique and widely appreciated by our applicants.

Pros: - Easy ways to view all candidates for each position and rank those candidates for interviews. - Virtual interview questions that are customized to each position. - Very responsive, helpful and knowledgeable support team.

Comments: According to the Nation's Restaurant News, as much as 50 percent of the staff at any give fast food restaurant will turn over each year, costing the whole industry about $3.4 billion in recruiting and training. Casual dining restaurants average a 44 percent turnover rate. Some of these statistics can be attributed to lack of upward mobility, bad economy, etc. But the reality is that food service industry has always suffered from this problem. As a Manager who experiences the stress of dealing with finding new applicants and vetting them, Hyrell is a great help in easing this burden.

Pros: Easy to use. Easily customize questions for possible candidates. Allows for the candidates to be aware of their current status in the hiring process through email or texts.

Comments: Berea College just transitioned to Hyrell. The customer service representatives have been exceptionally helpful in offering support as we have implemented and started to use the system. Prior to the software going live, Hyrell provided helpful webinars and open "office hours" (open times where you could call with questions or needs for support) that answered many of my initial questions about the software. I have found the software to be very easy to use and mostly intuitive as you complete the search and hiring process!

Pros: + easy to use! + provides the opportunity to upload an entire resume/to read the applicant's resume + comprehensive email system for contacting and scheduling contact with applicant's professional references

Comments: Hyrell helps the applicant eliminate themselves if they are not truly interested in the position and our company though a series of scored questions. When the applicant scores in the nineties we know we have someone worth interviewing!

Comments: I have been using the Hyrell applicant tracking and recruiting platform for about 15 months. During that time we have posted positions, developed preliminary "virtual Interview" questions to help us get a flavor for candidates, linked skills and personality inventories to the site for deeper selection criteria and - most exciting of all - reduced our turnaround time for reviewing candidates, scheduling interviews and making hiring decisions. If you have never used an online portal for recruiting, you must try Hyrell. The platform is robust and the support team is great.

Pros: Very customizable modules to profile company, state job requirements and description, quick posting on several sites automatically, and initial virtual interview to screen candidates on a more personalized level.

Cons: Some data processing issues from time to time, but support staff responds quickly and won't let go until they find a solution.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after my first time using their tools I was sold. Comments: Embarking on the hunt for a solid ATS is a daunting task for people not actively involved in the day-to-day of Human Resources but when our company needed something affordable yet powerful, we turned to Hyrell. The bootstrap-inspired interface is instantly familiar and the methodology of moving applicants through the system was easy to learn. What attracted us most however, was probably the ability of the system to interact with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Most ATS providers can't seem to get an app tailored to that specific requirement, yet Hyrell has it ready out of the box.

Pros: Affordable, easy-to-use and robust. Capabilities of the system in integration and communication are excellent.

Cons: Not customizable. Hyrell has a tech team that works to implement fixes to issues and occasional new features, but they won't be ready and willing to make customizations particular to your business. You'll pretty much have to use it as-is.

Pros: I like the emails when new applicants are in the system and the easy access to resumes, employment history, and education.

Cons: There needs to be a better way to print out the resumes. Currently, depending on the format, when you try to print a resume, it doesn't always print properly.

Pros: Compared to other recruiting site, I feel like I receive a higher quality of applicants because of the screening tool I can set. As opposed to having a million applicants that do not meet employment criteria or only met the lowest level. I like that the functionality of the site moves through the hiring process with the reviewer for documentation purposes.

Cons: The system does not auto-reject based on screening tool scores. I wish that the site dealt with major vendors to generate a larger candidate pool.

Recommendations to other buyers: Play with the system. See how it's going to work best with your employment objectives.

Pros: The website is user-friendly and flows nicely when going through the process with an applicant. What I like best about Hyrell is the customer support I have received and the timely responses to any questions I have had. I know I can call or e-mail our rep directly, and she will get back to me the same day!

Cons: It took me some time to become efficient at building and adding a position to the library and remembering exactly where to find it when I wanted to post it. It was a little confusing at first, but it didn't take that long to learn.

Recommendations to other buyers: Decide what works best for your company. Especially if a company receives a high volume of applications, Hyrell is great for managing and filtering people through. I also believe a company can be measured by its response to problems and customer relations, and Hyrell does that very well too.

Pros: If you have any questions, the staff is there to help.

Cons: I found it a little confusing at first, but I just had to work with it a little bit. I am not that much of a computer person, so I was a little slow.

Pros: I like how it continues to improve with new ideas. Additionally, Hyrell listens to its customers to see what they want improved or added to the product.

Cons: The thing I like least is that I don't have time to learn more about everything the product has to offer.

Recommendations to other buyers: Check references from current users. It is a great product and saves a ton of time. We have never had this much advertising exposure. It shows, as the number of applicants we receive now has almost doubled in just one year.

Pros: I like being able to see all the candidates and open positions in one place. The dashboard is very helpful to me as Director of HR. I don't do a lot of the recruiting, but I can speak confidently to hiring managers and the CEO with a quick glance at the dashboard.

Cons: If you close a post, the candidates are archived and more difficult to find. We have only five posting slots, and sometimes we have 6-7 openings at once, so we have to take down a posting, even if it's not filled, and the hiring manager has trouble seeing those candidates because they are archived.

Recommendations to other buyers: The tool has to be easy for your hiring managers to use, or they will rebel and not utilize the system. Good up front selling and training of the users is critical. It also needs to be easy for HR to administer based on the number of jobs open most of the time.

Pros: The customer service from the vendor is fantastic! Their responses are timely and very helpful. The product brings together all of the hiring process into one location. It's a great help when looking for history or creating a new applicant.

Cons: There are a few items that should be standard that are not. A read all button or a more universal format (in regards to viewing messages) would be a great help to new users or less tech savvy users.

Pros: I can get all the information about the applicant in one spot: application, resume, etc., and I can schedule the interview from the same place.

Cons: It's still new. I'm still exploring it and getting a grasp on it, but so far, I do not have any complaints.

Recommendations to other buyers: One stop gets everything you need. There's no more sorting through papers or going to several websites to get what you need; it's all right there for you.

Cons: I find it difficult to schedule interviews at the same time slot. It says, "That time is already being used."

Pros: I like the contact and "face" of the various members of Hyrell. I feel like I have a background and relationship with the team, not just a tech support person somewhere in the world. In regards to bugs or issues, I appreciate the update emails I get letting me know things are being done to work on the problems. It makes you feel heard, and unlike a lot of companies, you don't feel like your concern gets sent into the world wide web never to be acknowledged again.

Cons: It has taken some time for the interview calendar bug to get fixed and the background check feature does not use sources we are legally allowed to use. Were still having to outsource our background checks.

Recommendations to other buyers: You need to use it daily and really update yourself to make sure you are accessing it to its full potential.

Pros: Hyrell has created a great product. They have made our hiring process that much easier! I love that we can request references in a matter of seconds and schedule interviews. All of our notes and data are in one easy-to-navigate place.The process of self-elimination truly saves time on the front end. Prior to Hyrell, our managers and locations would have to sift through hundreds of unqualified candidates just to identify the ones that may be a fit. The Score System helps eliminate the unqualified in just a matter of minutes.

Cons: I liked the setup least, but once you have the descriptions, etc., the time it takes to set up outweighs the lengthy process.

Recommendations to other buyers: Give it a chance. I guarantee you will love it like we do. It certainly makes the interview/hiring process easier.

Pros: Hyrell is a total online solution for your recruiting and hiring needs. I like receiving email notification anytime a new applicant is received and also being able to quickly review the highlights of an applicant from any web-enabled device.

Cons: Nothing. The product works like a charm. I have never had any problems with accessing the secured website or using the product.

Recommendations to other buyers: Consider being able to access critical applicant information anytime, anywhere without the hassle of shuffling through written applications that may or may not be completed correctly. This is an easy-to-use product. I highly recommend it.

Pros: It was very user-friendly. I was able to navigate without any problems. It also collected all the information I needed for potential employees, and that information was easily accessible. I loved being able to send emails to the candidates who weren't qualified.

Cons: There's nothing I would change! The ease of use and information offered was just what I needed.
