### "Vimeo Pro is The Best Site To Host Professional Videos"

October 18, 2019

5.0

So far my overall experience with Vimeo Pro has been great and I've recommended it to many of my colleagues.

Pros

What I like most about Vimeo Pro is that it allows my company to host all of our content professionally and it uploads and plays in full HD and 4k. It's easy, fast to upload, and really takes our videos to another level quality wise compared to YouTube.

Cons

What I like least about Vimeo Pro is the price, but it's worth it because of all the features you get.

### "Vimeo as a niche service"

June 10, 2022

5.0

Pros

Most of the materials published on Vimeo are the work of film-makers, directors, creatives and artists. In short, the visual contents are conceived, produced and edited by video making enthusiasts and experts. Reason why Vimeo is not completely free: it provides different payment plans (Plus, Pro, Business and Premium) which vary according to the storage space, the number of members per account and other features. Then there is the free version, Vimeo Basic, dedicated to viewers and authors who are satisfied with 500 MB of storage per week.

Cons

Speaking of viewers: on Vimeo the target is more specific than on YouTube, albeit less extensive. The fact that to view the videos you need to have an account already implies that whoever signs up is an admirer.

### "Great way to edit existing videos!"

September 21, 2019

4.0

I will use Vimeo again. However, be aware that there are copywriter issues on some videos. I've had a few get dropped from my edits due to this.

Pros

I was so happy to be able to edit some existing videos that I found on YouTube for upcoming presentations and lessons. This worked out just fine for my needs and I was able to save them for future use.

Cons

I was really having a tough time in the beginning to be able to save and upload. Once I figured out what I was doing, I was fine. I had to google a few instructions. The Help section could be developed just a little better to be user friendly.

### "Great for embedded videos"

June 23, 2020

5.0

Vimeo works very smoothly, and i depend on it weekly to make instructional videos for my website with good control over privacy, simplicity, and can charge for use of materials

Pros

It allows me to embed videos rather than use up server storage, easy uploading, no problem limiting views to a private page for paid users, great settings allow for customized presentation, selection of thumbnail. I can quickly get the embed code and put the video placeholder on my site so viewers can see it as soon as Vimeo finishes processing. Reasonable annual cost for Pro version.

Cons

For what it does, i have no complaints. They have an alternative upload option that's faster but does not show upload progress, which would be a dealbreaker but they kept the other option going so i can see how much is uploaded and pause it in need be

Reason for choosing Vimeo

YouTube is intrusive, having requirements about presentation, privacy, whether i can charge on embedded site.

### "Vimeo Review"

January 13, 2020

5.0

Pros

Vimeo is my preferred way to upload videos for our church. The features are easy to understand and any changes to the website I've seen over time have not been super overwhelming. It is user friendly for our viewers and I like that I can password protect, hide videos from the public page, and embed these files into emails with ease.

Cons

Their customer service is lacking. They take too long to respond and are not very helpful. I don't need their help too often - but I did have a billing issue for several weeks with no assistance from their tech department.

### "Good for companies, but too expensive for livestream"

September 23, 2022

4.0

Pros

Vimeo Pro is ideal for companies and businesses who want to have control over who they charge their content with, where this content can be viewed, and the appearance of the videos. For example, they allow you to set that videos can only be viewed embedded in a specific web domain.

Cons

My company wanted to switch from YouTube to Vimeo also for live streaming, however, the live streaming option on Vimeo is definitely too expensive to be used only once per month as we do.

### "A great way to share videos!"

November 21, 2018

4.0

Pros

I use Vimeo Pro for my business. I create videos to put into my online courses. Vimeo Pro makes it so easy to upload and share my videos. I can create albums and projects for each of my courses. I can set up different presets for different videos. Presets that say where the video is allowed to be shared or embedded, if I want it to be available to download, and how I want my video to look. It's absolutely amazing and so easy to use!

Cons

It does take a bit to get the hang of it, but once you do it's all downhill!

### "All-in-one Video Platform"

September 27, 2023

5.0

I've been a user of Vimeo for a few years now, and what I love the most about it is the high-quality video streaming experience and over-all user experience that you get. It has been my go-to platform for its quality and user-friendly interface. It also became a way for me to connect with others that share the same passion as me, which is video production.

Pros

What I love the most about it is the quality of output and experience that you get while using the platform. It's also a great platform to share your passion for video production with everyone, be it your friends, family or others. I really love this platform.

Cons

What I like least about it is it's pricing. The paid plans can be quite expensive compared to other similar platform and the features for the free trial has limited features. But still, Vimeo is a great platform in terms of long term use.

### "Great Premium Video Hosting Solution"

January 17, 2019

4.0

Overall Vimeo Pro is option and I plan to use them in the future as my business and content base grows.

Pros

What I like most about Vimeo Pro are the advanced features and customizability it offers. Specifically the ability to password protect content was helpful for me in providing exclusive content for my membership site members.

Cons

What I like least about Vimeo Pro is how they do not offer an ad supported version of the player. If that was an option rather than a monthly fee it is something I would explore and it would likely help onboard more new users and customers.

### "Vimeo 5 out of 5"

August 7, 2020

5.0

Vimeo provides our clients and users with ultra clear and crips video's, it even offers 4k capability. We have only recieved praise from recipients of our videos.

Pros

We use Vimeo for Training material mostly. Vimeo is extremely simple to use and comes with all the bells and whistles you would expect from a video service. The quality that Vimeo produces on its encoding is next to nothing.

Cons

Depending on the amount of users and videos the pricing might scare off people, but for our relatively small organisation it works at the moment. This might change should we expand in the future,

### "Great price and quality for video hosting"

May 6, 2020

5.0

Its good, it works. Vimeo is the most reasonable priced video hosting.

Pros

The price. For a very low fee you will get professional video hosting. Domain protection, analytics and unmetered bandwidth.

Cons

I don't see any con for the price. I would like a more flexible tree-like structure for folders and better organizing for your videos.

### "Vimeo - video editing facilitator"

July 21, 2023

5.0

I use Vimeo to make the drafts of my videos before finishing, because it is an easy to handle application, I can make the edits I want quickly. However, since I use the free version, I do not make the final version on it, because of the watermark.

Pros

Self-explanatory application for beginners, with easy-to-handle tools and allows you to make edits quickly.

Cons

Very limited features in the free version, the main thing that could release was to be able to remove watermark.

### "it\`s best program with quality video"

Recently, I increasingly find myself thinking that I’ve started to watch more videos on this site. Unlike YouTube, there are few junk and low-quality videos. A lot of very talented authors post their videos here - it gives me more pleasure

Pros

a lot of quality videos which can be viewed, is very easy to use

Cons

you can not watch embedded videos on various sites from the iPad

### "A Very Simple Vimeo Pro Review"

September 24, 2021

5.0

To watch online content with little video compression, Vimeo Pro is the way to go.

Pros

Vimeo is great to upload and watch content online with little image compression, letting the users to watch the content as close to the original files quality as possible. Another thing that Vimeo does that I love is that it allows it's users to share the content online very easily.

Cons

Vimeo Pro is really good, however, the thing I would change would be making it into a social platform for videographers and companies that produce video, since, as it stands right now it's good to share videos and watch them, but Vimeo doesn't promote the video content.

### "Our go to solution for Video embedding"

April 29, 2019

5.0

What we did was embed Vimeo players for a tutorial on a website. The users could either see the whole tutorial video or navigate to a specific part of the tutorial they'd like to watch or rewatch.

Pros

What we best like of Vimeo is their personalization capabilities, as you can change it to better align with your own website's design. Colors, end screens, logo and playback speeds are configurable. It's also a collaborative tool as you can have stickers or reviews. Also, it has great privacy settings, for example, you can determine a specific domain name where it can be played and also password protect it.

Cons

I dislike that between Pro and Business there's a wide pricing gap whereas the added value might be perceived as less.

### "Vimeo makes it easy to host video files"

February 3, 2022

5.0

Pros

We love using Vimeo to host video files, then posting those links on our website. It decreases our website load time

Cons

This is a small detail, but it's a multiple step process to copy a video link. Other than that, it's easy to use

### "As a professional, this makes my life easier"

March 18, 2018

5.0

Pros

The best bit of the PRO version is the ability to send a review link to your clients. They can then (without having to sign up to Vimeo) play the video and then click and write a comment which is tracked to that timecode. I can then review the video and make all the changes the client has requested. I also use this feature for creating a video and then letting the client mark where they would like text to appear and what they would like to say. I've not yet found another system which does this so professionally that I pay the yearly price just for this feature, the rest is just a bonus (don't tell them that though, they might put the price up)

### "Powerful video storage at high quality"

February 21, 2024

5.0

Pros

Our videos look great on our embedded websites, ability to control where you can embed and player functionality like full screen, hide playbar for a webinar etc. Videos load quick, which is crucial nowadays. And the analytics helps us understand the audience, where do hey drop of, how is this video performing etc.

Cons

The interface was a bit different than what we were used too: YouTube. But still, we managed very quickly to understand how to use it.

### "Vimeo is a great video uploading software"

October 9, 2018

5.0

Pros

Vimeo makes uploading, storing, and embedding videos super easy. From a digital/web content providing perspective, we use this often to embed videos on web pages/emails and send them out to our congregants. We use it almost weekly to upload message videos from our weekend services and push content out to social media/emails.

Cons

So far we have no negative experience with this software. It's been great in what it offers and we'll continue to use it as long as the pricing stays consistent.

### "Professional video streaming service"

November 30, 2019

5.0

We use Vimeo to deliver a professional-looking streaming service for training videos in the healthcare sector. It is extremely easy for our non-expert colleagues to use the software as well as delivering strong functionality for our pro video team.

Pros

Video is a highly professional video streaming service. The functional delivery is strong with a wide range of analytics and business-focussed channels to help make the most of video content. The fact that it offers a free plan level, as well as four paid-for plans, means it is accessible to a wide audience. The professional look and community of users make it stand out from other streaming services.

Cons

It's good that a free plan is available but most of the useful features, e.g. analytics, are dependent on the paid-for plans. This is understandable but may put users off when there are free competitor versions offering this out there.

### "Showcase your video work in the best and simplest way possible"

March 18, 2019

5.0

It's been used as a simple and effective way to showcase work to clients.

Pros

You can upload and curate all your video work and it looks amazing. For film snobs this is a must because there's nothing worse than painstakingly working on a project only to have it compressed to death on other video sites.

Cons

There are upload limits depending and it can take a while for uploads to process. Also when sharing links, sometimes Vimeo can get a little buggy with playback and it can load forever without playing.
