The most benefit with Vimeo Pro is that only serious target people are found there meaning you get 100 fold on your investment than other companies like YouTube.

Pros

The company itself its stable videos hosted in faster servers like other big company so you pay for the right service. Most people that use Vimeo they actual know what they are looking for so it generate quality leads for digital marketers .

Cons

Eish the Landing page of them its still old fashion and their videos browsing its not as seamless as it suppose it lack that thing needed for website to be eyecatchy , remember we have our videos there we don't want clients to exit without spending time on them.

Great - love the software.

Pros

Honestly, love the Vimeo Record option the most. It has made training individuals 100x easier and faster. And you can choose to show your face in the video or not which is nice.

Cons

I wish there was an a-la-carte option for purchasing features. We do not need ALL the features in the next level up so won't be paying for it but a few would be nice to have. And same for the tier above that one.

Vimeo is like a corporate version of what YouTube is. While Vimeo users might be inclined to work from a high-rise office (hypothetically speaking) , YouTube users are more like the coffee shop dwellers that don't really care about the optics, they just want to get the job done. All in all, Vimeo in my opinion is more top-tier between the two options.

Pros

On Vimeo you can customize extensively the way you embed your videos, even going as far as to putting a password on them for an added layer of security. It has simulated live events, integrated APIs and so much more to offer than I initially anticipated. If you are starting a professional video platform, you should definitely consider opening up a Vimeo Pro account.

Cons

When using the trial version, Vimeo does not accept "promotional videos" to be uploaded onto your account. Should you cross that line your account will be flagged and you will be forced to purchase a full license to re-activate your account so do yourself a favor and read their terms and conditions before signing up, failure to do so might get you banned from their platform.

The reason we love Vimeo is because of its flexibility over many of the other popular video sharing online programs such as YouTube who is very restrictive in content. Vimeo is recommended but it's best for professionals.

Pros

Vimeo is less restricted in what kind of videos are posted on your account than some of the other popular sites such as YouTube. Vimeo is more specialized for professionals therefore you can share videos among other professionals as well as you can get in tough with other professionals. It has a free version but with limited storage and a paid service with unlimited.

Cons

It is kind of expensive to use if you have higher volume content, free service only allows certain total size storage per month

YouTube was very picky and restrictive, they even removed our own creations not believe they were ours, this incident happened twice so we closed our YouTube account and move to Vimeo. Vimeo is wonderful about allowing content posting!

I've used Vimeo for a few years now and it has greatly increased my business's professionalism on my videos and how clients and potential customers can view and interact with my videos.

Pros

Vimeo Pro is not cheap, but it gives you a lot of great features. You have 7TB of space to upload videos, you have great tools to control where your content can be viewed and saved, there are review tools for client videos , online video creation tools and a video capture plugin for your browser so you can make your own screen capture videos. There's also access to live stream studio, which is professional level streaming software.

Cons

It is expensive if you're not using all of the tools regularly. The cost comes out to $75/month which is much more expensive than 'free' which is what hosting videos on YouTube would cost.

We have had a great experience so far. Fast video viewing, high quality encoding and decoding, great controls, easy setup and good documentation. Vimeo Pro comes across as great tool to make us look professional as well.

Pros

We have used Vimeo Pro to host videos for a few reasons. One is to have stream able video backgrounds for website pages. This is great as we can set it to have a logo above the video or to remove controls, no logos and muted. Streaming bitrate is adapted to the client as well. Also, we have hosted video classrooms that people can pay to get access to. These videos are set with privacy controls and as part of our channel.

Cons

We have had clients that want to get off of Youtube but don't like the cost of the Pro service. Normally after detailing what they get exactly for that cost, we often can get them to change over to Vimeo.

I like the video quality,its very high. I love that this app's videos are very unique and you can't even find them in other apps.

Sometimes,when I try to download the videos they load forever and end up failing to download completely.

Hemos trabajado con Vimeo durante más de 2 años. El problema con ellos son los planes de precios. En sus planes de precios disponen de varias opciones. En nuestro caso disponíamos del Advanced que es el más alto antes de ser un plan personalizado. En el plan Advanced dispones de 2 TB de transferencia de datos al mes y teníamos un coste anual de 479 dólares más impuestos. En estos años nos hemos pasado 3 veces de los 2 TB. Supuestamente, cada vez que te pasan te envían un correo electrónico indicando que te has excedido. Ese correo nunca llegó. Cuando excedimos la 1ª vez no dijeron nada. Cuando excedimos la 2ª vez se puso un comercial en contacto con nosotros y nos ofreció un plan de 2.000 dólares año con un ancho de banda de 20 TB a repartir como uno quiera a lo largo de ese año.Con la negociación se llegó a la conclusión de que nos quedábamos como estábamos y se bajaba el consumo.Al año siguiente nos excedimos 1 mes por 18 gb. Es decir de 2.000 gigas, utilizamos 2.018 gigas. Se puso una agente comercial en contacto con nosotros y nos ofreció un plan de 50 TB por 6.000 dólares. Es decir, por excedernos 1 mes un 0,9% nos ofrecieron un plan que pasaba de 479 dólares a 6.000. Es decir, un 1.152 % más caro. Además en ambas situaciones los agentes comerciales te presionan para que te decidas en 2 días o te cierran el acceso.No existe proceso de negociación. Si te gusta bien y si no te vas. Eso hemos hecho.

Pros

Los fallos de acceso a los vídeos por parte de los usuarios han sido pocos.

Cons

El gran problema que tienen es el servicio de atención al cliente y su departamento de ventas.

The interface is clean and logical. There is no unnecessary chatter to confuse the user. I liked that the platform is used mainly by people who know how to make content, so you can find quality content with good quality right here. The feeling itself is about the business environment. I use some of the materials out there that can't be found anywhere else and have crystal quality.

Pros

I like that it doesn't spoil the quality when uploading. The concept of the product is clear and specific. The content is usually quality. There are no annoying ads to tear up the videos. The platform provides options for customizing the account. It allows you to present yourself professionally and stand out in the best way, without imposing additional things around you. Users can see videos that are not present anywhere else.

Cons

Multiple videos cannot be uploaded at once. Loading the gallery from the phone is a bit slow. For unpaid users, space is limited, which is not the case in other video sharing platforms. There are significantly fewer users, but those who are there definitely know why they are there.

We've had a good experience with Vimeo but I would not recommend using it as your main video upload website for ad purposes since it is not known and used as much as other options, however, for embedded links to use on websites or other platforms, it is great because of its video quality.

Pros

The feature that I like the most is that the video quality remains the same when we upload a video for out marketing purposes. Most online video players reduce quality even if you upload on 4K.

Cons

I'd love it to be known by more people, because sometimes it is hard to get organic visitors into our content. We had to use other platforms to get an embedded link and share it from there with ads.

Overall, we are very happy with Vimeo Pro. The portfolio that we use for our sermon archive "looks" close to the way our website does, but the ability to search for us is cumbersome.

Pros

Vimeo's backend interface is very intuitive. It's ability to be embedded with responsive websites is also very important to us.

Cons

A couple of the things that we have had issues with over the years are first, our ability to edit all of our metadata as a whole. If we were needing to add meta to all of our videos it would be very time consuming for us to complete. Secondly, finding where our archive or portfolios are within the backend don't exactly make sense. We would like to be able to add metadata to be able to search our videos but with over 1,000 videos in our account we'd have to have a full-time person on staff to do that at this point.

Pros

We've used Vimeo Pro and Vimeo Plus plans for many years. Super customizable for embeds on sites and great stats.

Cons

1) There is no customization on ALL player controls or colors in embeds, just most. If you want an auto-play video with no progress bar or overlays, look elsewhere. 2) They abide by strict DMCA copyright rules. If you have a video flagged as copyrighted 3 times, you are banned. We had 2 violations at the same time from another user due to an old ex-employee re-uploading a file for internal use and making it public. We then (like 7 years later) got flagged for a song or something and were told we had a few days of read only access to download nearly a decade's worth of content before they deleted it. WHAT?!?! No appeal process or anything. No phone number. We sent an email (the only option) which was ignored. We finally found someone on the phone who seemed surprised we had found them and managed to find out how to get one of the originally DMCA complainants to remove their complaint. Now we live on a "1-strike and we lose it all" reality. Whiff. Seems there should be some method of complaints expiring after so many years or something to avoid punishing long time users at the same rate as new users. We could open a new account, but we'd lose thousands of videos we've created. How is that fair? I get copyright protection and all, but youtube's approach is more civil.

Vimeo is one of the longest-tenured video hosting services. They have done a good job continually modernizing in the face of more competition from new startups. Cost is low to get all of the sharing and privacy features. We use Vimeo for internal and external videos, training videos, product demos, storing recorded meetings, and more - and we've had a consistently great experience.

Pros

Vimeo Pro is feature-packed but still fairly intuitive to use. There are a number of privacy and sharing options, and Vimeo is great for setting up professional-looking video libraries for your organization. I also appreciate that they are on top of new and emerging services like live video streaming. It also integrates well with social media and other web services.

Cons

Vimeo Pro cost is reasonable, but there are free and cheap options out there. Live streaming is a fairly expensive add-on (but may be worth the cost for reliable streaming to a large audience).

As mentioned, I am not the most tech savvy and I like products that do not require an advanced degree in technology! This product has been incredibly user friendly and that is perhaps what I like most about it!

Pros

For someone who is not wildly tech savvy, Vimeo makes everything SO easy and user friendly! In the live events industry, capturing video content is so vital. This product makes it easy and most importantly, FUN! Our team has thoroughly enjoyed using Vimeo and will continue to do so!

Cons

Candidly, I don't find fault with the product and have been incredibly pleased with how user friendly it has proven to be!

### "Good option for hosting ad-free high and quality videos"

Pros

I like that you can go live and even record screens from directly within Vimeo. They don’t have limits on bandwidth so it gives peace of mind as to the video you upload can have unlimited views. It gives the video’s a professional presence. It doesn’t show as ads like youtube. If you opt for the setting to show suggested videos, the suggested videos will be of your channel only so your audience will not get distracted by someone else’s content when they finish watching yours. Using the embedding option I can embed the same video in multiple places without the hassle of having to upload the same video in different places. The videos have a fast response time and you can easily brand the player to your brand colours, you can save all presets which makes consistency easier.

Cons

They had about more than 6 hours of downtime a few months ago and no one was able to access any of Vimeo's videos, it was rare but hope such long outage doesn't happen again. Multiple videos cannot be uploaded at the same time, uploading via mobile is even slower. The editing options available for videos before sharing are limited and can be expanded more.
