### "A very convenient solution"

November 11, 2023

5.0

I loved this. The fact that I did not need a broad knowledge base in video editing to use vimeo

Pros

The easy video sharing feature and the analytics

Cons

Maybe the cost could be reviewed down a bit for places like Africa.

### "Vimeo support is abysmal"

March 19, 2023

1.0

Sad about what it's become.

Pros

I used to like Vimeo's features, protection of videos, and customization. The support also used to be excellent.

Cons

The support is just awful -- they don't actually respond to the information or questions entered. And their documentation doesn't match what support parrots back -- even when I supplied links to their documentation.

### "Vimeo Honest Review "

truly appreciate utilizing Vimeo. It's so natural to transfer and share recordings, and the point of interaction is truly spotless and easy to explore. I love that they support top quality and 4K video playback, which is perfect for exhibiting my work. The people group on Vimeo is likewise astounding, with an emphasis on innovativeness and imaginative articulation. Generally, Vimeo gives a first rate video-sharing experience that is ideal for the two makers and watchers like me.

Pros

Like Vimeo for its high-quality video hosting and sharing capabilities, as well as its focus on creativity and artistic expression. You can achieve your goals in video content creations Gives a very good exposure of your contents

Cons

Could have been more easy to access like youtube It needs to be promoted so that the software can become more popular.

### "Professional Video Hub"

Vimeo has been a great video host for our content, allowing us to livestream and archive as well as embed and link content with trustworthy quality.

Pros

Clean and professional interface for content creators and for viewers. Great options for embedded video. Secure and reliable archived videos.

Cons

Some limitations in setting up search options for videos. Otherwise, no significant cons or negative experiences to note.

### "I've used Vimeo Pro as a video reviewing program while working in advertising and tech."

April 30, 2018

5.0

Pros

What I like best about Vimeo Pro are the strong control / privacy features and the video review features. Being able to control password protection, link expirations and video downloadability add so much relief when sharing and reviewing sensitive video content. The content is so secure and early versions of videos that aren't final yet don't have to be downloaded by people that shouldn't be given access to download them. I've worked in advertising and tech and I'd much rather share early rounds of video content via Vimeo Pro vs. WeTransfer or another video sending / sharing program since I can protect against their ability to download the file and accidentally use it later or confuse it for a final. So, quality control and version control are made easier simply by having the program be protected, filterable and secured. Version control is made even clearer via video review pages where you can compare video versions and detail differences among videos and even add timestamped notes right within these videos to detail these said differences. For working in video production, Vimeo Pro is top notch and really helps streamline, clarify and consolidate videos in development.

Cons

This isn't necessarily something I dislike but just a truth to share after videos are final my teams and I have always moved our videos to YouTube and social media vs. hosting them on Vimeo since YouTube is more universally used. My teams have known you can link Vimeo videos to YouTube, etc. and even initiate paid advertising through the Vimeo portal but for videos on YouTube and other channels but that always seemed like too much work / not worth it when you can go handle business with YouTube directly.

### "Expensive but worth it"

May 5, 2022

5.0

As I mentioned, it was a fallback for us when the pandemic started, and we, like many other orgs, had to make a programming pivot into the virtual stratosphere. It's great because you can remove Vimeo branding, and the ultimate product for both our online learning and content library distro looks slick.

Pros

We utilized Vimeo Pro over the course of the pandemic to bring some of our programming online, and it worked beautifully. The ability to both share content and integrate it in virtual workshop spaces on the platform saved the organization.

Cons

It is very, very expensive. We actually had to stop using it for a bit because it just didn't fit in our budget, and YouTube was notably cheaper.

### "The cheapest and most efficient way to manage long-form video and more"

April 12, 2021

5.0

In all my years creating video content, I've never experienced an easier way to upload, view, download, or watch all of my content in one place. We uploaded all of our sermons, creative videos, promotions and more weekly without much of a problem. While it's not cheap, it's very affordable in the grand scheme of comparative software for what it does, exudes professionalism and allows for some truly breathtaking options in customizing your content. Those upload quotas can create quite the headache, though.

Pros

The seamless integration allows for quick uploads, very strong communication on the process it takes to compress, convert, and post. There are numerous privacy options, from private links to password protected videos that give the user control over their projects unlike a lot of other platforms. There's also streaming features now that open up even more doors.

Cons

The upload quotas. Unless you have at minimum this Pro plan, you're going to run into trouble from time to time. We uploaded probably 18 GB's a week and cut it close several times, and sometimes had to wait until the following week to be able to post our content. That may not be the norm, but it keeps smaller churches and companies from utilizing it due to this not being an issue on YouTube.

Pros

It has an intuitive and easy interface. Easy to understand what you can find where. I like that it saves the video quality. The password protection feature is really important and helpful for privacy.

Cons

Space is very limited for free users. It's a little bit costly.

### "No need to setup a media server when you have Vimeo"

April 2, 2020

5.0

While I was working in the distance education industry, migrating to the Vimeo (from Red5 media server) was the smartest decision we've ever made. By migrating to Vimeo we saved thousands of dollars.

Pros

Ease of use, very cheap prices considering problems the product is solving, user-friendly UI, support for 4K videos, fast video processing, amazing customer support, branding features, neat integration with other software, unlimited video storage.

Cons

Nothing to be honest. We have been using Vimeo as our main media storage/service since 5 years and we have been extremely happy with the product.

### "The best platform to upload videos"

October 31, 2019

5.0

As a video editor and independent composer, I have facilitated contact with my clients to preview the progress of the projects.

Pros

Among what I like most about this platform is the possibility of managing your content, with custom url, upload updates, privacy settings, download, etc. Personally and professionally I love it.

Cons

I can't find something negative. Vimeo has always been a solid solution with few improvements over time.

### "Vimeo Review"

June 7, 2022

Vimeo has been my right hand tool in video production and I see no issues with it.

Pros

There is more flexibility of video formats saved. Easy to share it stream. There is a forum where beginners can learn more about Vimeo software. They keep their clients in mind.

Cons

Although video quality is good enough, it is relatively low when compared to other video software giants.

### "Vimeo is an Exorbitant Video Sharing Platform"

February 14, 2021

4.0

My overall experience is not good with Vimeo especially with their Customer support they are not supportive despite all that I gave 3 stars for their kindness

Pros

As far as I concerned Vimeo has easy to use user-friendly interface, Additionally, they have good quality video customizable features(like creating and record video option) comparable to other video sharing platforms.

Cons

In my experience It is expensive it cost me 900$/year for a full-featured video and as a result, after spending money I didn't even get Customer support it sucks with only canned responses, I don't think you're ever speaking with a real person via email. secondly, they are allowing video editing online I appreciate it but at least add a feature to cut videos. In short, I would not recommend Vimeo.

### "Tech support non existent "

January 8, 2020

3.0

My experience has been poor. I’ve lost my temper with tech support many times. They just don’t get it, how it should work.

Pros

Ability to make folders with passwords.

Cons

Poor tech support, slow response to customer needs, crappy app and even after you remove it from a mobile device you get prompted every time you go to play a video to download the crappy app. Inability to navigate and do all the things you do on a full browser on mobile. Slow, slow results of large showcases or folders. Needs a way to load these first as a list instead of a million images that take forever to load if you have many showcases. I could go on. I pay for many accounts that we’ve had for years and I’m tired of paying money for lack of support.

Reason for choosing Vimeo

I can’t remember, so long ago, just ability to create folders, I guess.

### "Vimeo is great, but too expensive"

August 1, 2019

3.0

I have hosted many high quality video on vimeo for years.

Pros

Vimeo has been a steadfast video hosting service for many years. The interface is slick and professional as well as reliable. Replacing video files is an excellent feature and their customization options are very valuable.

Cons

Vimeo search has always been very week. You'd have better luck searching in google using Vimeo as a keyword then you would searching within Vimeo itself. Vimeo Pro is too expensive for what you get. Even the plus is too expensive. IMO They aren't offering anything to justify that price, given the competitors on the market.

### "A good way to store videos for embedding "

August 29, 2019

4.0

We are currently using Vimeo to host non downloadable videos however the clunky UI makes uploading anything or adding new content annoying.

Pros

Vimeo is fairly inexpensive for storing videos. There is also a lot of added functionality like the ability to stop (or make it very difficult) people from downloading your videos.

Cons

For such a large software company Vimeo tends to have lots of UI bugs and a clunky overall interface.

Pros

Vimeo is a world apart for video management. the quality, efficiency and resolution it offers is incredible. the ease of storing your videos there and then being able to share them. having the possibility to leave them in private. an indispensable tool for people in the audiovisual world and many more sectors.

Cons

there is nothing bad i can say. maybe the fact that sometimes if you're not registered you can't see certain videos.

### "Vimeo Pro for selling videos online and for restricted distribution"

July 30, 2019

5.0

I sell videos online and their on demand feature makes this very easy. Additionally, I create promo videos for my services/products and I like that I can set them to be embedded only on my website. I like the idea that I can have videos without comments or ratings. Additionally, I can set the end of the video to go to a different thumbnail and make that end thumbnail clickable. It's very helpful.

Pros

The features are great: custom thumbnails, closed captioning, only embedding on certain sites, different options for when the video is complete, etc.

Cons

It's a little hard to find menu options. I think the layout has changed recently, so it's somewhat confusing trying to find options that have moved. Not horrible, just a little inconvenient.

Reason for choosing Vimeo

Youtube didn't have all the features I received with Vimeo Pro.

### "Definately consider if you want an established product, but there are other fishes to fry!"

June 30, 2021

5.0

Exceptional experience, frankly speaking, i do miss the experience with my present host, but its lighter on the pocket and for the price i can live with the experience. That said, if you would truly wish to experience hosting bliss, get Vimeo Pro, there is no second to it.

Pros

A well establish and renowned tool in the video hosting space with excellent storage, editing and hosting features combined with analytics and an amazing support team. Vimeo Pro stands out from the rest of the company as a benchmark for every aspiring video hosting company to meet.

Cons

The one reason i had to move away from vimeo was the associated price, vimeo turned out to be too pricey for my use case and had to switch out, but if price was not a factor, i would jump to vimeo without battling an eyelid.
