The ease in which AscendTMS allows me to organize loads, manage a driver roster, and keep paperwork straight is second to none. I would highly recommend AscendTMS to any business or entity seeking an economical dispatch system. Pros Normally it's all about the little things in life. The "load status" column that's color coded on the left side of the screen allows me to keep track of loads in an organized manner. I am able to customize that to our liking. Cons A lot of times when going through the "doc management" tab it takes long for it to load when going from page to page. Used the software for: ### "Ascend for Brokers" February 15, 2017 3.0 This is an easily accessible system but is geared more for the Broker or Forwarder than the carrier itself. System is frequently slowed during information updating or changes. Too many steps involved in new accounting management process. Not a clear payroll interface. Review Source Response from InMotion Global February 15, 2017 Jay - thanks for the great review. FYI - make sure you have turned ON the carrier features. That is why people love AscendTMS. You can run both brokerage AND assets from one system (for $49 - the cheapest TMS on the market). But, you have to make sure the features are ON. Regarding PAYROLL - just export to QuickBooks Online and let them handle payroll for you (it is the fastest and cheapest option). That is how most users do it. Send to QBO - and pay the drivers! It takes 2 minutes at most. As far as speed of the system, try to get your PC checked for "bloat-ware". We have accounts with 150 users in multiple offices that have no issues at all. I just asked engineering to look and our AWS servers never run at over 20% CPU / RAM capacity. Anyway...thanks for using AscendTMS. I get them set up and have them watch a few videos give them a little help when needed. but really the training video's take a lot of time off my plate Cons Having to buy credits every time. Office Manager Used the software for: ### "This software is amazing and easy to use!" February 5, 2016 5.0 We have used AscendTMS for over 7 years to manage all of our trucks and equipment in the field. We can quickly dispatch each truck to the right place and I can see their exact location and ETA using the free load tracking system built into the software. I just need to send a text message to the driver from AscendTMS and it grabs their exact location for me. We also use it to manage all of the paperwork for each load and job. I either have someone scan in the paperwork and attach it to the load or the driver texts us a picture of the signed paperwork and it comes right into AscendTMS and attaches itself to the right load. So, I can then send out my invoice and all the signed paperwork documentation before the truck has even left for their next job. I work alone most of the time managing up to 15 trucks and teams each day. I look at my AscendTMS software as my office mastermind. There is no way I could manage so many trucks without it. Pros I can keep all paperwork/information in one location. I can easily search any load or carrier. It is easy to get data put into the system for present/future use. Cons This software is very useful for and if you only require 2 users, you can have for free. Very easy to deploy and no hardware cost. Internet connection however is required. They are always ready to help and any questions. Pros Ease of use and the overall supported activities. The saving is without question there for they provide some many services that I did not have pay for additional products outside of them. The quality is also outstanding, for nothing feels cheaply done or prepared as an after thought. Cons It only links with Quickbooks and not other accounting software like Wave Accounting. The ability to integrate with other load boards and with QuickBooks makes this the best TMS software on the market. Cons There needs to be a way to "bulk" upload loads. Pros It organizes all of the loads so that they are easily viewed and I know the stage each load is in. It even allows the customization of tabs and load stages. I also like the fact i can communicate with the drivers and have them upload doc and photos right to the current load they are on.
