February 15, 2017 5.0 One of my dispatchers happened upon your Free TMS and we started utilizing your system almost 2 years ago. The biggest compliment I can share is that I felt so guilty in not Paying for this wonderfully put together program for my Corporation that I reached out to rep to pay my fair share for the use of this TMS and also the Customer service is one of the Best that I have ever experienced. The real only issue I experience when I began using this program was that the type was quite small on the load confirmations and I reach out to support and they assisted me with fixing the issue. We initially switched the Aljex, comparing the three real time all together...and Ascend wins! Aljex had way too many add ons that cost $$$ and a buggy old system. DrDispatch also is outdated and slow, buggy, always down. Ascend has almost everything needed to run a transportation company...I am confident that they will be better than they already are. Do not hesitate, stop wasting time comparing and researching, as a business owner and a former software engineer, this software wins. Cons I haven't founds very many that can't be fixed with a simple suggestion! I would say though that I don't like that the credits that you have to purchase are so expensive... Used the software for: ### "Ascend plus & minuses" February 8, 2017 4.0 Overall it is a great system, the one thing that drives me crazy is that when you go to add new pick up or stop it does not automatically put you back into that box. So I type then realize that I have to back up and click on the box to add new location. Also when you mark a load paid in financials it does not automatically mark load on load basics paid which would be great. We built our customers, carriers and locations by just following the prompts. We didn't need any training - overall, it is really user friendly. I also like the dashboard/quick look to see what is moving today and the $'s. The document management system and load tracking are amazing new features. Those features are things I used to pay for from another software vendor, but now I can have them all in one system. I love the filters and reporting functions which make it easy to check how many loads you've done for a particular client and the revenue generated. Easy to add new customers, carrier's and assets; seems it's drawing information from the google search engine, therefore the information is on hand. Delivery notes, invoices, bill of entries are all on hand to easily print or mail to carrier or client. It's simply a brilliant and well put together software system.
