Pros: I have had a great experience working with Greenway. I was not hired with this company when they started this software so I was not present for the teaching of how to operate this program. However, any problem I run into where I do not know what to do, Greenway has made it so easy for me just to pick up the phone and call them. I get an immediate response and am always satisfied.

Comments: Overall : It is a great system. The implementation consultant was great, clear and always available to answer any questions or address any concerns.

Pros: The ability to generate different types of report whether it is clinical or management. The chat option is an excellent feature.

Cons: I felt the management training to implement the software and customize it to our needs was very rushed. The training calendar is very limited and the hours offered do not help while trying to run a clinic at the same time. The schedule window and the Visit Information: Check-in window are TOO SMALL. Every dialog box/window should have the option to be maximize to FULL SCREEN.

Pros: It can be customized on an individual level. All providers are different and this allows them to be individuals.

Cons: Needs more Enterprise level functionality. It would be nice to be able to mirror another users settings instead of starting from scratch.

PrimeSuite in the specialty setting.

Pros: Unified, cohesive system. Upgrades to the software over time to add new features. Customer support has been great (chat feature is key, so you can keep working while getting your questions answered).

Cons: The accounting side of it can get a bit convoluted. Does not cover some specific items for some specialties. Specialists will need to put in some time on the templates, but it is worth it in the long run.

Pros: Customer Service is great. Have never had an issue getting a question answered whenever I have logged a case.

Cons: Takes a while for enhancement requests to be implemented if they are ever implemented. You can go online and read them any time.

An exceptional EHR and PM system that fits our exceptional practice.

Comments: The product is very consumer driven. The more you put into it the more you get out of it. While this is not a con for us as we are very involved in adapting along with the product, some do not put in the time to make the product work for them.

Pros: What I like most about Greenway is the accessibility to customer service. If I have a question that I can't answer or if I need an answer in a hurry, their customer service team is amazing! They are always willing to take the time to answer additional questions and exceed expectations. Greenway's ability to evolve with the ever changing healthcare requirements is a testament to their longevity commitment. When adding new staff, it is an easy application to learn.

Pros: Product is well thought out and helpful in day to day practice use. Reports can be customized to fit the needs of the practice and customer service is always helpful, knowlegble and friendly. Questions are quickly answered and followed with emails for future reference. Product is updated frequently.

Cons: I don't have many cons other than short notice on updates on the software and the system does takes some time to learn.

Pros: The software is very user friendly and upgrades are available frequently. Adding spell check as a feature has been a great deal of help. The customer service representatives are always very helpful and knowledgeable as well.

Cons: The software is not currently integrated with the CHS and Novant hospital systems in our area. If the software was integrated with the CHS and Novant systems then our referring doctors would be able to review our patient's office notes through their systems without us having to fax everything over to them and vice versa. This would be a very useful feature to have.

Comments: Each department seems to function without any knowledge of the other department creating frustration and confusion on the part of the provider's office. The online Help does not cover every feature nor does the community page. A full step by step training manual would be very beneficial. The project manager never seemed to have it all together. The software in a way is like this survey.. parts of it are not thought through but just thrown in there.

Pros: Trainers are very knowledgeable, live training classes are very helpful for initial training. ....

Cons: 2 month back-up on training. Schedule is extremely poorly constructed-small and not flexible........

I find it very easy to learn and work through. I mainly use Greenway to review registration and superbills.

Pros: I liked how there are many ways to search a patient. This make it easy for times when you may have the wrong patient ID or spelling of a name.

Cons: I extremely dislike the diagnosis descriptions. I do not think a diagnosis should have multiple descriptions. There should be one description based on the ICD-10 description. This is something that should really be corrected to avoid misdiagnosing a patient.

Greenway is always improving our experience.

Pros: Greenway works to stay ahead of the changes in the medical industry. I have been on the PrimeSuite system for 14 years and it is always changing as needed. They offer a several user exchanges and conferences each year.

Cons: The only things I have been disappointed with was the quick initial training and quick deployment. Of course, that was 14 years ago. I hope it has improved.

Comments: Greenway Health is my preference in medical software.

Pros: The ease of understanding the use of the software and the ability to retrieve numerous different and useful reports.

Cons: Inability to print account numbers or names on printouts from the account screen. It would be beneficial to have the option to print either, if needed.

Comments: Used PrimeSuite in a cardiology practice for 5 years until I left that position for another practice. I loved it from day 1.

Pros: The software is just very user friendly. If you know how to operate a computer in general, you can work in PrimeSuite with ease. Compared to other systems I have used, this definitely "takes the cake" in that area. The reporting options are also great, especially when you get into the custom reporting you can build for pretty much whatever you need. I have worked in 3 systems and PrimeSuite is my favorite. Being fully integrated has so many benefits for billing, clinical, and administrative staff as well.

Cons: The one and only con I can think of is that the customer service went downhill after using PrimeSuite for about 5 years. During the 4th year, hold times were ridiculous, we didn't get calls back, there were no estimated times for resolution, and no one seemed to really be concerned no matter how much we complained. I have been off of PrimeSuite for 2 years now though so hopefully that has improved and went back to the stellar customer service we had in the beginning.

Comments: WE have been on Greenway since May 2004, we are all electronic, we love it....Janice

Pros: great functionality, audit trail helps streamline training (you know who made the mistake), wizard makes it easy to schedule, so many good features

Cons: printing from account screen is great from HIPAA standpoint, but no name and no account numbers makes it harder for employees

Pros: The system is user friendly, when Greenway asks for user suggestions they genuily are interested and take them into consideration.

Cons: Just like every system there are going to be flaws and different ways to do things that everyone feels like they have a better way but overall, it's a great system.

The support team always goes above and beyond to resolve any issues . Great service from start to finish !

Comments: Definitely recommend doing extended training well AFTER go-live. It is much more helpful once you somewhat understand what you are doing!!

Pros: Love that you can track just about anything anyone does. It is very detailed and fairly easy once you get through the learning process.

Cons: Takes quite a while to really understand and get the hang of the software and there are several ways to do most things. Too many 'clicks' for some things.

We purchased Greenway in 2011. I still feel we made the right decision.

Comments: This is a very dynamic program and covers all needs of a busy family practice. All EMR's take time and effort to make them work right, but we still feel we made the right decision to go with Greenway.

Pros: I love the functionality of this robust program. We are still learning to use it more efficiently and it continues to grow with us.

Cons: Setting up this program has a lot of time and decision making which is not always understood when you start. This is also why it keeps getting better though as well. Just wish we knew then what we know now.

Pros: Easy for staff to use. Minimal interruption in service. Good customer service. Good resources on Greenway Community.

Cons: Getting set with secure faxing, emailing, etc. not clearly described and not easily accomplished. Physicians feel it is somewhat cumbersome.

Comments: Overall we have had good experiences with this company.

Pros: You can either call or enter a support ticket online. The staff are always pleasant and helpful staying on the phone with you till they find the solutions or finding someone who can help you.

Pros: Greenway is very eager to hear comments on their software. Usually their customer support is very helpful; however, our customer experience manager is the true gem that we have in our relationship with Greenway.

Cons: Upgrades that come out are sometimes not fully tested for bugs prior to their release. Some attention needs to be spent on Greenway's part to be more of an "industry leader" rather than "industry follower"

Pros: It seemed easy for our team to manipulate the foundation system to our needs. I think it would be ideal for small to medium size medical practices looking for an all in one solution.

Cons: It seems that because the software was able to be configured to allow for a variety of methods to complete tasks it made tough from a training perspective. To prevent any inconsistency, I would recommend setting procedures and policies and building training from there.

Comments: Greenway is a great product to help independent physician practices manage their patient care.

Pros: Robust in features, very flexible on medical record documentation, reasonably priced, revenue cycle management module works very well, and their is innovation with the software and features

Comments: I manage 5 practices that utilize Prime Suite, both housed and hosted. I have worked with Greenway for over 5 years and although there have been a few bumps in the road, Greenway always steps up and improves the software and customer experience. I have worked with every major software in the current market, as well as providing training on many of them, Greenway is always my #1 choice.

Pros: Effective training material Superior customer support Clear and well defined work flows Integrated clearinghouse

Cons: Cloud based version is a bit challenging Invoicing and changes to invoicing is difficult to facilitate

Greenway Prime Suite satisfies all of our needs. Clinical/Practice Management etc.

Comments: The support that you receive from this company you will never find anywhere else.

Pros: Team Members and Customer Service at all levels are top notch! Ease of Use Excellent training and implementation plans

Cons: There really is not much that I can come up with as far as Cons go, I guess the one and only thing that I can think of is that when you enter a patient info the system you cannot remove them, I know that this is the same in many systems.

Comments: We are very pleased with the system and the people that work with us if we have any problems at all.

Pros: When we transitioned over, we had no problems at all. It was very easy to learn and if we have any questions at all the customer service reps answer the phone right away and help us right then. We have never had any problems at all.

Cons: The only thing that I truly disliked is that there is not a manual and I feel that it is easier to learn and go back to if you have a manual.

Pros: diversity, reporting, customer service. We have a multi speciality group, and we are able to use this product for the various provides to their general satisfaction

Cons: 20th century appearance and layout. The screen size is small, the font is small, the buttons are not in obvious places. It looks like windows 95.

Comments: I have been using Greenway for three years. I do the billing for a primary care and mental health practice. The program is user friendly. Support is excellent, call with any question and they have the answers or get them for you.

When we compared Greenway against several other leading EHR programs we found Prime Suite to be the most functional for all levels of computer capabilities. The cost was also competitive when compared to their competition and has remained so no matter what we've had to change or add over the past few years. Besides functionality we needed a customer support team that wouldn't abandon us and Greenway has not disappointed us in any way. They really appear to make customer service a priority by being prompt with their follow-ups, pleasant to work with when you feel completely inadequate and strive to provide a solution immediately.

Comments: I wouldn't recommend this product because of the several issues.

Pros: It was fairly easy to learn to use it and navigate through the different areas. The facesheet showed everything you'd want to know about the patient and his/her history in one place.

Cons: It froze up constantly which really interferes with the workflow when you're trying to see patients. There were often times I'd get booted out and have to sign back in.

Comments: Overall we are pleased with the solution. We have been on it since Sept 2011 and have 10 practices including 7 primary care and 3 specialties up on it as well as our Hospitalists and ED. We also have a lab interface that obtains results from our inpatient system. Sometimes getting support responses on clinical items has been difficult though we do have a network of people at Greenway who make themselves available to pursue critical items for us (thanks!).

Pros: For small-medium size offices/implementations like ours, we find it is a good fit and works well. Navigation is easy and intuitive. We are also finding that currently, the application has been at its most stable point since we've been on it. The v17.30 release improved things substantially.

Cons: It would be helpful if some items in the build could be customized by users. Such as the Clinical summaries and being able to pull lab results directly into a correspondence to name a few. The Wizard is also coming with ICD9 and not ICD10 codes.

Comments: We looked around for a long time to find the right company to help implement an EHR system into our busy pediatric practice. Greenway Health was a great choice and they have shown us that they keep their promises after the "sale." Training options are plentiful and understandable with no hint of condescension. I give them my highest recommendation.

Pros: As pediatricians, we know that most software is written with other kinds of physicians in mind but Greenway Health says they care about us and have the perfect training regiment to help us assimilate into the future.

Cons: I've been practicing pediatrics for more than 26 years and have the usual trepidation regarding a move into EHR... The only negative features of Greenway Heath are the same as any other software based system: it slows you down but you can learn it and Taylor the templates to your needs so that productivity loss is at a minimum

Comments: We went from paper charts and a little $ software the doc purchased when he started the practice back about 20 years ago, to Greenway's PrimeSuite in 2007. It was an awesome experience because they sent people to our office to spend a few days training on the PM side and we went live on it first.Then they sent the clinical side trainers back a month later to get the physicians trained on template building and gave us great instructions on how to implement it slowly rather than jumping in with both feet. We recently merged with another site who also went on PS about 4 years ago. They aren't utilizing it to it's fullest capacity so I am hoping to train them and get them to loving it as much as we do!

Pros: It's built on one platform rather than the chart side being separate from the PM side like some of the earlier EHR's were. Support is wonderful...love the live chat when it's available. The Greenway community website is very helpful to log cases and blog with other users. If I have an urgent support issue I can call support and get help from the person who answers the phone or they will get me to someone to help me. That is a real plus when you have doctors in the clinic and they have a script error or something urgent.

Cons: The thing I like least is user rights. I wish there was an easier way to know which user right affects which part of the software. It's sometimes called something totally different in user rights than what it is called in the software. Setting up new users would be easier if we could copy another user. Wish there were a little help with PQRS, MU, MACRAS & MIPS. It's pretty difficult for specialties to meet the requirements and takes a lot of research, google and networking with others to get it done. I don't know if we ever did get enough measures in the list to make our last MU attestation.

Comments: I have been billing for 30 years and this is the best system I have used. It is clear and concise. Easy to learn and makes my job easier. The trainers are great and don't leave your side until you're comfortable. A lot of systems employ many screens to do one thing. This system does not make you do that. You always know what patient you're working and where you are. Appointment scheduling is also simple........especially if you have to reschedule an appointment.

Pros: The reporting is great. Very clear and simple. Also the support staff is excellent. They know what they are doing and they are fast with answers and help.

Comments: Have been live on PrimeSuite since 2012, coming from a paper system, after extensive research of several other EMRs. Launched front and back office at the same time at 5 different offices. Reporting capabilities and ease of creating Excel and Word files that everyone could read were a real draw.

Pros: Working most in the clinical applications side, I find the ease of documenting patient visits and the ability to track an order from start to completion a real asset.

Cons: The medication module takes patience. It is the area I hear the most about from providers and clinical staff. Improvements could be made here.

Recommendations to other buyers: Great product and customer service. Check it out!

Comments: Greenway has been awesome for us! Greenway is efficient, easy to use and a great tool to keep your patient flow up to date and organized.

Pros: The one thing I like most about Greenway is that it is user friendly.

Cons: Not knowing everything that Greenway can do!!, I would like for Greenway to turn on all features that the system can do then let that site have a 30 day trial period or so to see if this is something they need or don't need. A lot of the things you add to Greenway requires a charge and sometimes for small practices its hard to add so many charges onto one system, especially if you don't need or wouldn't use the feature you are paying for. Then some things the system will do and I run up on it by accidently clicking, so it's nice to find those sweet surprises, but it would be helpful if I knew they were there to begin with!!

Recommendations to other buyers: Mine advise to others is to keep one thing for your office or practice in mind. How efficient do you want the staff to work? By adding a system like Greenway, your staff will be able to work efficiently. It is a completely easy system to learn, its very user friendly, the clinical side of it is the "BOMB", Everything you need, you have a Complete Face sheet that is full of anything that you need or wants to put on there~

Comments: Overall Greenway Prime Suite is a good solid product with a lot to offer. It will take a little effort and training to get familiar with the system but once you do it is easy. We are very satisfied with how it helps us in our business.

Pros: Their support staff is superior to any customer support I have ever encountered. They are trained well and if they don't know the answer they get you directly to someone who does.

Cons: I can be a little difficult to learn in the beginning but once you get the basics of the system you are fine.

Recommendations to other buyers: At least get a demo and see what Greenway has to offer if looking for a new company or changing from paper to EHR/EMR.

Comments: Greenway was obviously for multi-specialist offices. It seemed much more geared towards adults and I did not find it to be user-friendly at all with pediatrics. The immunization feature was my biggest problem.

Pros: I did like being able to see the most recent charts opened as far as keeping in mind all patients seen in one day.

Cons: The immunization grid and inputting vaccine info.

Comments: I work in data mining and preparation for MU and PQRS.

Pros: Tech support is excellent. Response time is usually quick. Support personnel are knowledgeable and friendly. The system is stable.

Cons: The report generator is antiquated and limited. Users should be able to link tables in the database through the report generator and not have to go through a SQL server. Users should be able to change an appointment by dragging the object from one resource to another instead of 'rescheduling' or canceling and remaking the appointment. Rescheduling a dual appointment also needs to be improved.

Comments: I have gone from end-user to trainer to consultant with Greenway's PrimeSuite. It is very easy to use and can be customized to fit any clinical workflow. This software not only makes it easy for a provider to document encounters but also enables its users to fully complete each visit with practice management tools, from follow up to billing out the visit.

Pros: Ability to customize. Users can build custom reports, flowsheets, results, document types, etc. The "Orders Tracking" module can greatly reduce the amount of time a provider spends reconciling incoming results.

Cons: Hoping to see updated abilities concerning data share with other software.

Comments: We have used Greenway Primesuite for 4 years and have had an overall professional and very good experience. They have been very accommodating to our needs for service and advice. Two and 1/2 years ago, they merged with another EHR company which created problems for service and overall response. However, they have greatly improved over the past 1 1/2 years in their overall service response. Their Customer Experience Manager (CEM) service has been fantastic.

Pros: Their overall service response especially coupled with the CEM. They have done a great job for us. The system is fairly easy to use and quite intuitive. My staff is comfortable with the scheduling and task (messaging) system.

Cons: I am disappointed in many of the reports and the ability to combine data together. We have also been frustrated by the implementation of the HIE back in 2012. The attempts have been better but should have been running already. I also hope they come up with a better accounting of clinical information to report in the MIPS system.

Recommendations to other buyers: No physician 'loves' their EHR and each one has limitations. I have worked with 3 software and find Primesuite is to be the best one. I strongly recommend Primesuite.

Comments: Very difficult to use for pediatrics. Vaccine entry is very time consuming. Would take 1 hour per day for my nurse to enter the vaccines properly. The process to make templates is ok, but not great. Used this EMR in my previous practice and definitely did not consider it in my new practice.

Pros: Billing codes link with certain procedures once programmed. Help determining the coding level for office visits is helpful. ICD 10 codes are easy to find.

Cons: Vaccine entry is difficult. The system cannot remember lot numbers and always asks for which manufacturer in a long list even though each vaccine is only made by one manufacturer. No barcode scanner for vaccines available. Not easy to enter point of care tests such as urinalysis and strep tests. Portal system that links with it is not good either. A parent has to have a separate login for each child. My parents did not use the portal system at all.

Recommendations to other buyers: It is not an efficient EMR for a pediatric doctor and nurse. Maybe better for specialties that do not need to input vaccines.

Comments: We have been clients since October 2011 and it has been a good journey to date utilizing the clinical and practice manager solutions.

Pros: The application is very user-friendly and for the most part easy to navigate. The functionality and capabilities are endless!

Cons: During some upgrades to add new and advanced functions, some of the existing solutions are impacted and in a few instances eliminated. As a consequence, more careful reviews prior to integration of enhancements should be done at the Beta testing stage. New pricing strategy is to a la carte driven.

Comments: We have been using PrimeSuite for over 5 years. We looked at several different EHR's prior to purchasing PrimeSuite and it has lived up to all of our expectations in regards to ease of use, value and reporting capabilities. We are a multi-specialty group with over 60 providers in multiple locations.

Pros: Ease of use, ability to customize to meet our many different specialty needs, reporting capabilities (especially CQM and MU measures), service and support

Cons: The system works well "out of the box" but to really optimize it requires someone in the office who is computer savvy and can tweak it and instruct others in the tweaked functionality. The beauty of Primesuite is its customizability but that requires someone locally to do that for the practice.

Recommendations to other buyers: Identify a super user or two to fully learn the system and develop it to its fullest. Embrace the idea of new workflows - use any EHR as it was intended initially and do not try to change it to mirror your current workflow. Often that is an inefficient workflow. Greenway support is very good but also join a Greenway User Group - they are a great source of knowledge from your peers that have often already solved any issue that you may have encountered.

Comments: We invested with Greenway PrimeSuite a little over two years ago and can honestly say after the transition we settled nicely into a good routine. The clinic environment is likely not much different from EMR to EMR so the product is functional and accomplishes the goal. Our providers are able to navigate easily and rely on clinical assistants to do the heavy lifting in the clinical setting. The ability to dictate utilizing Dragon in the Cloud or products such as Entrada has offered a wide degree of flexibility. Document types that could be easily template are built and become a tremendous time saver. From a billing perspective, we continue to evolve and deal in the process. Our claims get out quickly and mostly cleanly allowing a payment return to happen consistently.

Pros: We like the flexibility of utilizing the integrated API calls for integrating external applications.

Cons: We have more problems that we would like to have the public facing API transactions so if we were to do it again we likely would build it differently.

Recommendations to other buyers: Know the answers to the questions before you ask the question; easier said then done. PrimeSuite is a good overall product that likely will do the job very nicely.

Comments: We have been using PrimeSuite since 2011 and have been very pleased with the functionality of the Practice Management side of the software! From the ease of entering demographics to the detailed billing section to the AR and reporting it has everything, a practice needs to function efficiently.

Pros: Practice Management Reporting, easy to use, accuracy in reporting and billing alerts etc.

Cons: Clinical module lacks specificity to practices, no spell check, clinical coding within chart is difficult to navigate

Comments: We bought our Greenway system in 2004 before we built our building. We went looking for the best EHR system and found in Greenway. We have never regretted our decision to go with Prime Suite - It is still the best EHR. We feel that Greenway is our partner in business and that our relationship is important to both of us. Everything in Greenway is dedicated to making our jobs in healthcare easier and our patients' records more accurate and complete. Greenway is also focused on the future of healthcare, keeping us up to date with innovative changes so that our system stays current.

Pros: I think the Greenway service is second to none. Any problem I have is handled by a phone call or a message. The technical service is available 24/7 for emergency problems. The Greenway employees are knowledgeable, well-trained, polite, and truly my best friends. I also love the Greenway Clearinghouse.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Comments: I have worked in Medical billing area since 1998 and used several other EHR/Billing software programs. By far, Greenway is my recommendation. Why? It is an all in one system that allows full coverage from seeing patients to billing insurance. Use is fairly simple to learn, with the only minor inconvenience of multiple clicks on some screens. The customer service area ROCKS! Whether we pick up the phone and call or log on to the community and start a case, the turnaround of completion is awesome. All CSR we have dealt with are the courtesy, easy to understand, can take layman examples of problems and convert to technical terms to get the issue solved.

Pros: Ease of use; layout; an all in one system.

Cons: A few extra clicks to complete some areas; some modules are more expensive than a small business can afford but would be useful (example: patient portal)

Recommendations to other buyers: If you need an EHR and Practice Management system that can do all from front desk to end desk then consider Greenway for your needs. The Customer Service department makes it worth your while as they are very helpful working through all troubles that might arise on occasion.

Comments: We are a consulting company that works with clients using a number of different EHR solutions and PrimeSUITE is one of the best. It is a very flexible and robust system that can be customized to support very unique workflows. API is one of the most robust in the industry and has a very well developed and mature third-party application marketplace. If PrimeSUITE does not meet your needs there is a third party app that can do it.

Pros: Robust EHR to support flexible workflows Mature API and third party support/app marketplace Customer Support

Cons: Although not a deal breaker the user interface is a little long in the tooth and lacks the 'cool' factor. It is a robust EHR which means proper setup and workflow design are critical. It is not a plug int in and use it type of application.

I am actually leaving my current practice for a new job in large part because of this EMR system, which makes my job much more difficult.

Comments: We have had Intergy since its inception and feel it is the most robust and customizable product on the market. They listen to the needs of their customers and continue to enhance the product and its capabilities. We have utilized all additional modules which allow our office to meet all of the government programs for additional funding opportunities.

Pros: The ability to customize it to meet all the different providers work styles.

Cons: There are always things on our wish list as far as functionality - but I believe that is because we are a very progressive office and push the envelope on items we would like.

Comments: Primesuite has been a great addition to our company. We have been using it for a couple of years now and we enjoy using it. Primsuite offers a variety of areas within the product that keep us using one product for EMR, scheduling, and billing. They are also associated with many helpful companies that are fully integrated making our workflow much better. The customer support is great and knowledgeable and our Customer Experience Mangers are awesome and very patient with us.

Comments: Overall we have had an excellent experience with Greenway and Prime Suite both the software side and the customer service side. Given the complexity of implementing any large scale IT project, we have had issues arise along the way; but the customer service response in addressing the issues has been very good. Compared to our first EMR- Prime Suite is a Ferrari. We are consistently impressed with how easy it is to add on features, either directly from the Greenway suite of products or through the marketplace. The only downside, if you could call it that, is that the system is so robust and customizable. it is difficult sometimes to feel like you know how to fully utilize all of the features. That being said, in 2.5 years being on Greenway we have transformed our practice to a modern, digital practice capable of keeping pace with all of the growing market demands in healthcare. The products, training and support for Meaningful Use, MACRA, population health have been pivotal in our ongoing viability. Since going live with Greenway, we have increased our patient volume by 14%, decreased our operating costs by 3%, and we have maintained a 94% patient satisfaction rating. Our experience with Greenway has been excellent.

Comments: PrimeSUITE offers a highly functional product that provides ease The Greenway library and it¿s import features make management of the templates easier and more user friendly. E-scribe offer a better usability than Dr. First, and it works better with PrimeSUITE. I¿ve watched the support evolve over the past few years, and am very pleased with the direction Greenway has taken, and am encouraged to see the suggestions from users be implemented into PrimeSUITE. It has been a pleasure to work with Blair Stickley, my CEM. She has mediated and resolved several issues in a short amount of time, and has proven the value of this type of position. The experiences provided at the Engage and User Exchange conferences are invaluable. I always walk away with an abundance of specified information and am thankful for such events. They truly provide an ¿individualized¿ touch and interactive setting on a private level.

Comments: Greenway PrimeSuite is a great EHR and PM system that we have been using for a decade now. They have lots of features to help us chart and bill accurately and efficiently, meet MU, PCMH, etc guidelines, and provide the best patient care we can. These programs and features include a great patient portal, customer community, appointment reminder messages, flowsheets, clinical quality measures, easy coding and billing, lots of reporting options, programs for receiveing faxes and medical records, etc.

Pros: I like that they strive to include all the features we need to provide the best patient care we can. This includes a lot of clinical and billing features, patient involvement, reports, etc. The customer service is always quick to answer and helpful. They also have chat features and after hours care which i have used to great success. Our Care Experience Manager, my rep, is amazing and helps coordinate with all the various support people at Greenway to get the correct specialists and advice we need for any problems we face with our EHR and how we report, bill, etc. She is always available and has regular meetings with us to make sure things are going smoothly. I have attended ENGAGE, their annual conference and had a great time with the various classes, etc. learning a lot and getting great insight into whats coming down the road for them.

Cons: The customer community which has information on how best to use Greenway can be hard to use and requires a lot of knowledge to be able to find information easily. Some of the add on features can be expensive. We have had some issues with the messaging feature, but they are working hard to fix it.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a great product for your EMR and PM. They do their best to stay on the forefront of all the changes in the medical industry and provide us with the tools we need to give the best care we can.

Comments: We have used this product since August of 2011. Since then, we have seen this EHR go through it¿s growing pains, but ultimately, continues to improve and build on a platform that is more user-friendly and customizable (by non-techinical personnel which ultimately lowers overall cost of ownership) than many others out there in the market. No EHR is perfect and anyone touting such is not providing a realistic assessment of the current state of EHRs. There are definite pros and cons of each and ultimately, decisions need to be made with systems that have more pros than cons. As with any EHR system, you will only see maximum efficiency if the proper time is taken to perform the right set-up and then continuous process evaluation to tweak and adjust as the practice moves forward.

Pros: Ability of non-technical users to update and adjust templates without requiring the assistance of highly-paid consultants or users with advanced ¿technical¿ expertise. The new orders module helps tremendously for many different areas and can be used to help with PQRS, in-office lab testing or imaging (and has helped us with many audits to provide evidence of ordering and interpretation of said tests), and many other areas (including questionnaires). The new mobile version is one of the best I¿ve seen and the interface continues to improve. It¿ll really be a game-changer once the ability to chart form mobile is released. I think this will expand the ability to chart from an iPad (or iPhone if a doc chooses) compared to a clunky computer or laptop. The additional modules (while they do cost extra, but at a reasonable rate), integrate well for a patient portal, messaging system, PQRS registry, population health management, and clearinghouse. Finally, the Meaningful Use reporting system is one of the best I¿ve seen. It makes it easy to track how physicians are performing throughout the year and make adjustments to help meet MU criteria. While it is already good, a future update should make it even better. I best not forget that have a dedicated Client Experience Manager and dedicated account executive helps to keep a personal touch with how we are performing as a practice and act as a liaison with the company executives.

Cons: The correspondence module for referral letters is really weak and needs a major overall. We still have to resort to transcription for more customized and stream-lined correspondence (versus sending the entire note). We know things are trying to move to a more electronic medium in communication, however, some docs will never abandon their fax machines and still really on paper charts. As such, we must maintain a quick and efficient method for communicating with these referring physicians. Direct messaging is good, but currently feels more like an after-thought. It will be nice when this is truly and fully incorporated into the software. The interface does seem a little dated, however, we have been told there are plans to overhaul the user experience and interface in the coming year to give it a ¿fresher¿ appearance more in line with the current mobile offering.

Comments: We are a privately owned clinic with 29 (currently) providers. We had paper charts until 2013 when we went with Greenway. We chose Greenway because our providers decided that they wanted to still do as much dictation as they could, which Greenway allowed us to do. Through the past couple of years and learning to build the templates we need, this dictation hasn't been such a priority for the providers, but the ones that want to do this, can still do it with a Nuance product and PrimeMobile solutions. In 2014 we outsourced our billing with Greenway's Revenue Management. This was a challenge to get everyone on the same page, but persistence and sticking with it we are now happy with the choice to do this. We ended up downsizing about 15 of our billing personnel when we did this, so we knew we HAD to make it work and we did. We do not use the Greenway Patient Portal, when we began with Greenway the only option to us was to use the Medfusion portal and now that the Greenway Patient portal exists, it would not be beneficial to switch over. Greenway and MedFusion do not currently have a way to seamlessly transfer our patients from one portal to the other. The staff at Greenway has been VERY helpful. If we have an issue and it isn't resolved, i have been known to go up the chain to get some solution to a problem and that has not been a problem for Greenway staff. The training was exceptional when we went live on both practice and chart. We do have several interfaces with Greenway: lab, radiology, portal, etc and that have been an issue that our IT department has been working with Greenway on. The API's don't seem to be stable for some reason, it seems to be an issue that upgrades and hot-fixes cause the interfaces to have issues. Our nursing and doctors have gotten good at using Greenway and there are so many ways to do things within the software, which makes it flexible for different types of users and workflows.

Pros: Ease of use and the intuitiveness in using it. We have a customer experience manager, we can call her at any time with questions and she helps us out, she is very helpful. If you need a report and you can't figure out how to create it, call support, they will set it up for you. Tons of reports.

Cons: Sometimes when calling support, you will get someone on the phone that tells you to do something, that you KNOW you shouldn't do. Greenway has promised that they would get a better support solution and they have delivered. It is alot better than it was in the past. Sometimes the billing invoices are not to be trusted and convoluted. They are hard to read, not logical in any sense, do not indicate what exactly the charges are for and the same charge will appear in numerous places on the statement. We have to review the statement every time before payment is made.

Recommendations to other buyers: Greenway has a yearly conference that has MANY training/sessions that help you to understand the software and things that can be done with it that you didn't even think of. This is a great time to meet the personnel and collaborate on ideas, problems, etc.. We have gone for several years and have benefited each year in doing so. We have several "super users", 2 nurses, 2 IT staff, 2 billing staff and 2 doctors and we all go to these meetings each year. Don't expect it all to be ready for you to go on Go-Live, it is a constant change to get things the way you want them, as i would guess it would be with ANY EMR system. Patience and eventually you will get it to where it is smooth and you can see your patients and get out of the office at a decent time every day. At Go-live, for the first week, have the providers cut their schedules back a little bit, about 1/2 and give time between patients so you can get your new workflows worked out. Get to know your "go to" people within Greenway. They can be helpful to you when you need it.

Comments: The first several months was a real bear when we converted from one system to PrimeSuite. It was very difficult to avoid comparing PrimeSuite with the previous system. Since the conversion operations have smoothed out tremendously. I am positive that many efficiencies could be gained with some tweaking by GW.

Pros: This is an integrated product with many business partners to rely on. We use the Dell cloud for our system which is has great reliability for access and download speed.

Cons: The product could be more user friendly for our specialty. But let's face it, there will never be a perfect EMR system. Support is slow at times, not unusual for this industry.

Comments: It is no easy task to create software to meet the needs of all areas within a practice - from patient check-in, to scheduling, to clinical documentation, to orders and results, e-prescribing, billing and all the other components of a single patient's visit. Greenway has the foundation, expertise, and tools all built into their product to make this happen. I would recommend their electronic health record solution to anyone from the "one provider" practice, to the "enterprise" with multiple locations and specialties.

Comments: We started PrimeSUITE a little over 3 years ago. Our biggest struggle was connectivity through Dell. We have switched to FOGO and our physicians and staff are happy with the connectivity and improved responsiveness. The biggest complaint we get from our physicians is that they want the instructions portion of the plan section to function like the HPI section of a note. Support has drastically improved since our initial launch with Greenway. We used to spend a LONG time on hold, but now we are routed and assisted in a very timely fashion. We also love the CEM program because we have someone to contact when we need additional information or need a case follow up on. Overall, the product is well thought out for all areas - from check-in to check-out, billing, payments, and denials. Competing EMRs may have been excellent for billing, but the clinical side was severely lacking - or vise versa. PrimeSUITE was able to serve the needs of all of our departments as equally as possible.

Comments: We have been clients of Greenway since 3/5/2007. It is the most user friendly software I have used in 20+ years in the medical field. The functionality is always a step ahead. This is easily recognized in our community as there are many different types of software being utilized. It is awesome to have the same practice management system as the EHR which makes workflow seamless in every aspect. The staff and customer support are always so very helpful and nice. There was a time customer service was lacking, however, that is long gone and it is better than ever.

Pros: 1. It's a practice management system & EHR all in one. 2. Extremely user friendly 3. Versatile in so many ways

Cons: As with all software companies I deal with (which are quite a few), the maintenance fees are a thorn in my side, but again, they are within normal range of every other company I deal with. This is just the ugly side of technology in every aspect.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be sure to do your homework and ask all the hard questions. Also be sure to ask for referrals from other practices as well as site visits. These were the things we did and so grateful we did so. Be sure to use every resource provided to you when making your decision and once you have signed on with Greenway, take advantage of every piece of training, knowledge, webinars and conferences as possible. It will only make your experiences even greater.

Comments: My work weighs heavily in the clinical and reporting areas of PrimeSuite. While there is always an individual's wish list, realistically this product is a stand out. As with anything, you have to put some work into it to make it the best EHR for your practice (template tweaking, flowsheets, etc) but, the blood, sweat, and tears is all worth it in the end. You have a fabulous tool that will take your office to the next level.

Pros: Functionality ... Reminders, Clinical Decision Alerts, Updox, Portal, Greenway Community ... Greenway provides our practice with all the tools we need to be successful!

Cons: Things don't always work the way they should. Script errors can be really annoying when you are in the middle of work. As a Beta site, we get really excited about new functionality and it isn't always ready but, that's part of being Beta.

Recommendations to other buyers: Do not be swayed by a competitor who offers you a lower price or "free" this or that. The price is hidden in there somewhere. No EHR is perfect but this one is really one of the best for the ambulatory setting. As with most things, you get out of it, what you put into it. That will be the case with that other EHR as well, don't believe them when they tell you it is ready to go out of the box. None of them are. If you want an outstanding product at a good price, go with PrimeSuite.

Pros: Customer service is great - the majority of the times I have called they teach me how to do something rather than do it themselves which helps me learn the system more.

Cons: Reports could use some improvements, meaning there isn't a lot of great "canned" reports. For the EMR and Billing - too many clicks to get to where you need or want to be - not very user friendly.

Comments: We've been using Primesuite since 2013. We are a large (and growing) Gastro practice in Florida with about 250 users and 20 locations. We migrated every office over from their EMR/ paper onto Primesuite and just like any other EMR, we have had many ups and downs along the way. We have experienced growing pains on our end as well as growing pains on Greenway's end. No one is going to be 100% satisfied with their EMR company, but it's the nature of the beast. I like the flexibility we have with the system and the ability to customize so many different features for all our individual locations that it allows them to still practice as individuals. That being said, the more flexibility you have, the more confusing or harder it can be to grasp all the different possibilities. On the clinical side, there are many different ways you can tailor a workflows for each user in the office from set up, templates, orders, filters, tasks, etc.... I feel it is extremely user friendly and you can customize the system to fully utilize your time and streamline documentation in order to focus more on the patient. HOWEVER, you have to put the work into building it for YOURSELF. On the other hand, I have heard it's a lot tougher than some of the previous systems on the practice/ billing side- especially since we need to keep everything separated by location. The larger we get the slower the system is in sending out claims or harder to run reports. I have heard a good bit of complaints from the billing side. I feel the clinical side of this software is better than the practice side, but I also mostly work on the clinical side. For larger practices there are a number of areas that need improvement, but you will find that in most systems as well.

Pros: I like the flexibility and customization for the providers/ staff in order to accommodate the individual roles in the office. I also enjoy the patient portal and having patients log in and fill out their paperwork on line so it populates the chart. That saves a lot of data entry time. I also appreciate the webinars they send out and the training they have online to keep everyone updated with the changes. They also have a large conference once a year to focus on continued education and training within the systems. They have very knowledgeable resources working these events and allow you to bounce ideas off of them or speak with them face to face about what you are experiencing. They are always very friendly and helpful. You can schedule one on one time with management or with an expert in Primesuite. It's also one of the greatest networking experiences to speak with other practices on the same system as you. You can ask how they utilize the system or what they would recommend for workflows if you are struggling. I find that conference is well worth attending for anyone who is starting out on the system or who has been on it for years. One last thing would be the people that work there. Everyone you talk to in support is very helpful and pleasant to speak with. We'd be lost without a few specific people that we work with on a weekly or quarterly basis.

Cons: I hate that the system cannot separate out (HL7) documents coming into the system by office location. They are all mixed together so that's very frustrating the bigger we get. The staff have to sort through all the providers to find their own physician's documents. This is something that affects larger groups the most. I have not personally seen a solution yet, however they might have something to fix this- but I will believe it when I see it. Also the reporting for the CBO is getting to be an issue and we don't know if it's because of our size, our servers, the product version we upgraded to, ISP, etc.....

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are going to buy this system, please be willing to work to set it up exactly how you want to utilize it. If you just run with the basics without modifying it for yourself, you will be frustrated and wasting your time and money. It's so customizable and there is plenty of documentation and training videos on their customer community website. DON'T skim on the training. It will save you a lot of frustration in the end. Ask for references for groups your size and talk to them about their experiences and about their setup. The company has changed a lot since 2015 so there was a time when the customer service was far below par due to a company merge. It has climbed back up and I believe they are in a much better place than they were mid 2015 (if you see reviews from that time period). I believe in 2013 and 2014, they probably had the best customer service in the industry (but I'm biased). They are trying to get back to that point. Be sure to ask questions directly to people on the system and what their experiences are with down time, customer service, promptness, what to expect on road ahead, etc....

Comments: I like PrimeSuite EHR. It does most everything we need to do for our patients, the CMS quality initiatives and our management team. I think it is User Friendly.

Pros: I think it is fairly easy to learn. It's a very powerful system with depth. I've been responsible for setting up new employees, training, trouble-shooting, opening cases, being the middle-person between THSPP staff and Greenway Technical Support for a year and a half. I still learn something new every day.

Cons: I wish Greenway Help was more helpful. I'd rather look something up that I don't understand than call the Help Desk. Usually when I look something up the answer is outdated or it just doesn't make sense to me. Many times the answer isn't clear, doesn't make sense or I can't even find the answer. For example, yesterday I was looking for instructions on what you are supposed to do to pass the MU Measure of Patient Electronic Access. There are no step-by-step instructions. Also, the only other thing I do not like about it you have to pay for each and every thing including email addresses.

Recommendations to other buyers: Greenway is a terrific company. Their Support staff is great, knowledgeable and very responsive. You'll have a great CEM that will take care of you. You'll get to know the support staff and become friends with them over the phone. PrimeSuite is a terrific EHR system. It's not perfect but there's not a perfect system out there.

Comments: My practice has been on Greenway Primesuite for 10 years. We have merged with several other multispecialty groups during that time. Having implemented the Greenway PrimeSuite integrated PM/EMR solution in several other multi-location practices (including switching from other legacy EMR/PM systems), the Greenway products have always been well received, with new users quite frequently commenting that their "old system couldn't do that" or "wow, that functionality is so much better/easier in Greenway than it was in XXX EMR".

Pros: Ease of use, very intuitive. Extremely customizable to most specialties. As a result, there are often several ways to accomplish the same task. This allows for workflows customizable to practice needs.

Cons: Cost/licensing has become outdated as more and more web based EMR/PM vendors are offering a subscription pricing model.

Recommendations to other buyers: Definitely recommend a demo to see all of the features Greenway PrimeSuite offers. If implementing this product in your practice, due to the heightened customizability of the product, I highly recommend investing significant time prior to go live to build the product to suit the unique needs of your practice/provider and/or invest in a Greenway expert consultant to assist with implementation.

Comments: Being a Greenway-PrimeSuite customer for close to 5 years, has been a very positive experience for our facility. We are a rural health clinic in southern Iowa and Greenway has provided us the ability to stay current in the market and the healthcare IT industry. The transformation from paper to our electronic systems has been wonderful for patient care and operations. We truly feel that we are a partner with Greenway. We have went through the merger process with Greenway as they are looking out for our best interests and delivering quality in many ways. The healthcare industry is changing rapidly and Greenway helps to keep us informed and delivers a product that consistently meets the needs of our providers as well as regulatory needs in a proactive fashion.

Pros: Usability for the providers/clinicians. The forward facing application is intuitive and easy to learn. The interoperability/interface teams have been flawless and wonderful to work with. They also provide a fair price, which is very much appreciated.

Cons: Reporting- The canned reports are okay, but the ability to build custom reports is lacking and cumbersome.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are looking for an ambulatory EMR, you will not be disappointed with Greenway-PrimeSuite

Comments: It would be great if the software allow customization of some functionality at the practice level. Practice Analytics - have available in PA all the data that are in Intergy and EHR.

Comments: Greenway as a whole has developed into an amazing product with great support and feature content. As a large company with over 500 active users, our experience has been very good overall. There has been very little downtime, and our specific needs and wants have been addressed timely. I look forward to the new challenges that MIPS/MACRA offers our providers with Greenway as a partner to help us reach our company goals.

Pros: I like that it can be customized to each user, based on things like job role, payer preferences, and personal habits.

Cons: Enterprise level functionality needs to be enhanced, though it has come a long way in the past couple of years.

Recommendations to other buyers: Consider the company you choose as well as the product. In my experience, they are equally valuable.

Comments: Prime Suite is a good EHR software by all measures. The functionality is decent; however, the development life-cycle is too long and the customer support needs to continue to improve.

Pros: The GUI is great. Software looks good. Functionality is provider friendly if used according to the Best Practices workflows.

Cons: With complex Enterprise level workflows, the system is lacking. It is too difficult to track PCMH and ACO measures. Reporting is not sufficient for Enterprise level needs. Customer Support has historically been slow to respond, but has improved as of late.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be certain to define expectations of service and timeliness during the sales cycle and be diligent about holding the vendor accountable for living up to expectations.
