The transition from paper to the cloud was a bit of a process but worth it. Support is above and beyond! The imaging facility is very popular with the staff. Easy to track reports on the system. Cons Extremely expensive and you have to build your own templates after paying over 5 thousand thinking it was gonna be customized for us. It also has helped us to remain compliant with all of the new requirements. Our patients use the portal to obtain their information as well as look at what happened during their patient encounter. Pros The patient portal has been great for our patients. They love being able to access their medical records and see results. We also use our portal for patient to login and fill out paperwork as well as make and cancel appointments. Cons There is not really anything we do not like about it. It is something that takes time to set up, but overall works great. President Medical Practice Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Poor customer support for such an EXPENSIVE product" January 9, 2023 1.0 It was the worst experience ever. I signed a contract at the academy AAO meeting. There were so many fine prints and red flags. First, you pay within 2 months of contract whether you go live or not. They drag their feet. No one contacts you. You call support but no one returns your calls. They do not want to get you live. They will get your money and drag out the process to fit their timeline. Pros Nothing is good. It is a switch and bait. Cons Their contracts make you pay 36 months of support without providing any support. Please do not waste your time and money. Find another provider. Very simple for new staff to pick up when training. Cons Dislike the software backup methodology. Could be more streamlined so it takes less time and in addition, you'll need a device to backup a so-called workstation backup (I use a NAS) and the server backup backs up to a folder on the server so you'll need to think about space requirements when engineering a solution. In addition to the built in solution to the software I also backup the entire server using a thrid-party imaging solution. Review Source CA Caroline A. I love the integrations with other services, Nextpatient-for example. I am constantly needing to learn more about what the product offers because many features are not used in our practice to the capacity from which we can benefit. It has every feature we need for running a practice. We utilize Nextech Payments as well which gives us tighter financial control. Pros We don’t currently use the PM function but are looking to switch. The EHR is so easy to use and train on. March 5, 2019 5.0 Overall, Nextech has been very user friendly. Navigation is great. Always upgrading and fixing issues and new products added to make documentation more effortless. Your knowledge base staff is wonderful. Very patient and always willing and wanting to assist. Your support is exceptional!! You are able to get answers quickly and problems resolved. Attitudes of staff great! Makes my job easier. Pros After having a very unhappy experience with another vendor, it is so enlightning to be associated with Nextech. Your software is very user friendly. Very easy to navigate. It is structured extremely complete for our specialty. Always coming up with new updates to make our documentation easier. I love the ease with the PM portion of Nextech. Everything from demographics to billing is structured in such a way that staff find it easy to use. Cons I have seen financial summary reports that not only list each and every provider but ability to compare this year to last year on one report.
