While the platform fulfilled our basic EDI requirements, we found that support responsiveness and the overall user experience did not meet our long-term expectations. As our EDI environment expanded, we ultimately transitioned to a solution that provided more responsive support, a more modern interface, and stronger integration capabilities. Pros TrueCommerce provided the core EDI functionality we needed and supported integration with multiple trading partners. The implementation process was straightforward, and once transactions were configured, the platform generally handled day-to-day EDI document processing reliably. Cons Customer support response times and issue resolution could be inconsistent, particularly when troubleshooting more complex integration or mapping issues. It does what it promises, integrates well with our other software, and has let us take on more retail accounts without a proportional increase in manual work. Combined with responsive, knowledgeable support, it has been well worth it for us. Pros TrueCommerce has taken what used to be a mountain of manual EDI work and largely automated it. Purchase orders from our big retail partners flow straight in, and invoices and ASNs flow back out, without us hand-keying transactions one at a time. It connects cleanly with NetSuite and the rest of our systems, so wholesale orders move through our workflow with far fewer man hours than before. As we have added retail accounts it has scaled right along with us instead of forcing us to add headcount. Their customer service has also been top notch whenever we needed help onboarding a new trading partner or troubleshooting a document. Cons If I had to pick something, EDI by its nature has a learning curve, and there is some up-front work to get each new trading partner and document type mapped correctly. That is really the nature of EDI more than a knock on TrueCommerce, and their support team has been there to help us through the setup every time. They keep the process working and issues are very rare. We have been with them for many years and have never experienced any down time. Maintenance has always been done during non productive hours with no impact our our communication with our trading partners. Pros True Commerce has meet and continues to meet all of our EDI needs, integrating will all of our Trading Partners. Issues are rare but when one does come up they are quick to handle it. Tech Support is knowledgable and pleasant to work with. They are quick to respond to emails and for emergency issues they are only a phone call away. The system is secure, we have had no issues with security or data breaches. I feel we get good value for the cost of the service. The integration saves me considerable time and is worth every penny. Cons I have no complaints about TrueCommerce. Any short coming is on my end with a lack of knowledge to understand the complexity of EDI and the many ways it can benefit my company. Through this time many of the staff have offered their knowledge and helpful tips that have not only helped to maintain JTM's excellent partnerships with our customers and brokers, but also helped me advance professionally. Pros The support staff and user-friendly platform is what I like most about True Commerce EDI Solutions. The knowledge regarding integrations with JTM's specific ERP system is extremely helpful when we run into integration issues or certain mapping difficulties. The platform is so easy to navigate that the other users on the platform had no issues learning how to process transactions. Probably the only issue I have run into is when a support case gets picked up by the team in a different country. At the same time a migration project was taking place with getting trading partners off our old VAN and onto True Commerce in a limited amount of time. I've been pleased with the success of both projects. Pros The integrations team assigned to our migration to SAP did a fantastic job with mapping, partner set-ups, and customizations. Now that we are live, the True Commerce customer support team has been quick to respond with resolutions. I feel like their Foundry product offers very good value for the cost. Cons Since going into production, there is a limitation I've noticed. I would like to see an option developed to automatically move specific file types for specific trading partners from the Inbox to Received without exporting them. Combine the ease of use with visibility to the data and their services are unmatched. Cons Honestly, it is difficult to find something that is a not a positive experience with TrueCommerce. If i had to point one con out it would be i wish we could implement more of our order processing through them. Pros Great EDI partner connection service. Great support service. Product is dependable and works as expected. Portal is easy to navigate. Cons Web portal can be slow to load pages of data.
