Customer Representative Consumer Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Use between the new and old formats" August 14, 2019 4.0 the customer service representatives are always helpful and understanding of the situation needing to be resolved Pros Not much with the lack of training available. Your customer service is wonderful, but with a question to individual questions needed in a time constraint along with the wait time, it does not assist with out immediate needs. Cons The new format is difficult to use especially when needing to print labels for shipping. Containers that need to be added/deleted along with items that need to be separated into different boxes is frustrating. I go back to using the old format most of the time. CFO Wholesale Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Terrible Support - Find an Alternaitve" September 1, 2022 1.0 It has been nearly 14 months and we have yet to conduct a single live transaction yet they have been billing use monthly for subscription. Several of the people assigned to our account have left their organization in the middle making things worse. Emails often got unanswered, and this is true with many of the employees I have worked with. A session to troubleshoot a problem is often scheduled 2-3 weeks in the future due to poor staffing. Pros The one good thing about TrueCommerce is that there are very few other options out there for EDI so you may be forced into this decision. Cons The software requires support from them to work and they are severely understaffed and unable to provide the support you will need. Review Source RR Richard R. CSR Wholesale Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Easy to use" August 14, 2019 5.0 Pros TrueCommerce lays out all EDI in an easy to follow and well organized workflow. Once templates have been created, the workflow process is as simple as turning transactions around and filling in the blanks. Cons Since the switch to TrueCommerce Foundry, the drag and drop feature, and right click menus have been eliminated, and there is a little more menu-surfing as a result. Overall this isn't a huge inconvenience, but it does slow my workflow by a small percentage. Understandably, this is to make the system more touch-pad friendly, though that functionality does not apply to how I use the software. Review Source RS Rivka S. Pros Customer support is helpful and knowledgeable. It's easy to learn and use. You can process EDI transactions from any computer. It didn't take long to figure out. That's the basic way to use the software. We integrate it with our Quickbooks so I don't have to enter in anything to the system...it's all just a few clicks. Cons For just the EDI web version, the site can sometimes run slow...when using the software version, it can also transfer over to QB very slowly. And sometimes things just can't sync for whatever reason which is frustrating. Pros It's easy to use. If i run into any problems their customer support is superb! They will walk you thru every step and show you how to fix it in the future. If you don't know something they have no problem showing you without making you feel like "you should know this". Cons The only problem we have with this software is that we have Sage 50 and some of the discounts that are line items do not come thru to the order when you export the PO into Sage. Setup for a new customer is not timely, and tech support for complicated import/export can take weeks to resolve. I would recommend this for small business/new to EDI, but perhaps not for those with more complicated needs. It is a good value for what you get. Pros TrueCommerce is an easy entry point for those new to EDI - the software is easy to administer, and easy for daily users. Tech support is pretty good. TrueCommerce can handle more complicated situations, and import/export to any ERP or accounting software. Cons If you don't use the basic turn-around, or Sage ERP, then you will have to use their tech to set up the export/import. Turn-around time for those projects, while not bad as tech support goes, it is not good enough for your customers! This is a source of frustration. Their setup team is even slower than tech support. Pros Truly appreciate how reliable & simple TrueCommerce EDI Solutions is to work with. I'm constantly having to search customers, orders and having several options to search: via name, phone, comments, activity, address etc. etc. allow our team to provide the best customer service to our clients. They seems to be working too many projects at once and have a high turnover in personnel. Pros Promised Features. Unfortunately features have not ended up working or working as promised. Cons Not able to intgrate with Warehousing. This was not mentioned in Sales cycle, only during implementation. Obviously this is a huge deal if you are considering multiple warehouse locations with a developed picking setup. They are unable to integrate with Microsoft Navision/Business Central and have average to low understanding of Enterprise ERP. June 21, 2018 5.0 Easy data exchange between our company and our trading partners. Pros We have always had phenomenal customer support with the software. I like that we can use the same system with multiple different trading partners. I like that everything is kept in one place and stored efficiently. Cons Two things. I don't like that I have to use internet explorer on a PC to use all of the features. I would love to be able to use other browsers and possibly in the future a Mac to use the system. Second, I don't think the website is very user friendly. Once I learned the in's and out's of the system I had it down, but training new people is often difficult. Review Source CC CAROL C. So with that partnering with TrueCommerce EDI Solutions they helped us not so tech savvy people in our office get setup and live. To this day they are always a great support when we run into errors. Easily handles our order volume of 200 + orders a week. We no longer spend hours entering orders it is done in a matter of minutes. New trading partners are easy to add. True Commerce and Highjump on constantly making improvements and taking this product to the next level. Cons Web based transaction manager required silverlight to run. Pros I like the ease of access to be able to get batches of customer orders in and out throughout the day. We take a lot of orders in a day and the ones that comes via EDI are always the easiest and fastest to get processed and shipped out for our customers. Cons The new format took away some of the features that made the old EDI format work. In addition to the downtime when it was implemented hurt us a little bit as everything was getting figured out. Pros Makes it easy to manage EDI mapping / requirements from multiple customers Cons The Transaction Manager "service" requires a logged-in user, which goes against the purpose of running a process as a service. This causes a conflict with our company's web filter that is applied on all logged-in user accounts. Pros Its forgiving for the most part, If a mistake is made it can be removed to the "trash" and redone. Cons I'm not sure if its the format from the customer or if its within EDI's software but when printing customers preferred pallet or carton labels, they have to be adjusted and reprinted multiple times to get them right. November 21, 2019 5.0 Overall DiCentral has allowed us to meet all of our EDI needs, and has allowed us to stay in good standing with our Distributors. Pros I like the ease of use. We picked up DiCentral back when our IT staff was small. The software allowed us to send and receive EDI documents without having to hire an EDI specialist. Cons Not much. We are able to do everything we need with DiCentral. Nothing bad to say here.
